But you made a mistake right there. As a father you should have taken your time to teach him life lessons. I would have collected all that money and distributed it to his siblings and leave him with none he won't die. He is my son and I love him that much to teach him life lessons. Greed will kill him faster than he could ever make it out there. The 10% short of the real amount of the 40% he was suppose to give his sisters after making amends is the very reason why he's not gonna get a dime. This is the boy that is suppose to take charge of your earthly wealth when you are gone and this is the boy that is suppose to look after your loved ones when you jet out of this existence so you are obligated to deprogram his excesses and program him into being more responsible leader after your kind, well that's if your moral compass is without a question.
Yeah, if he were younger, harsh decisions can be taken, but at his current age and stage one has to be careful how you handle issues like this, there has to be subtle talk with compromise unless you want to cause more problems than to solve. I am not talking of a teenager but a young adult in his 5th and final year in university.

From my experience It is not always easy to collect back your window seat because the person
* will quickly enter the aeroplane before most passengers and locate a good seat
* will initially claim the seat as theirs
* will try to plead with you to get another seat by claiming old age or sick or something close to that
* Cabin crew will not physically remove that person but will only start begging you to get another seat
* Everyone will join the cabin crew to be begging you to get another seat so that everyone will have peace as they will make it look like you are not a peaceful person

Those who steals other people's window seats know the above and that is why they keep on doing it
I understand you, but with me sha, the one or two times it has happened, the person had to move, last one with the woman and he child was Lagos to ASABA, funny thing was when I insisted it turned out that the woman had other older kids sitting in the next roll she could swap window seats with which she did along with the younger child.

Na you want enter airport taxi now. In 2022, I travelled from Lagos to Asaba and the airport taxi guys were telling me 7k to my place. I just hang my bag for back, trek come out for the airport gate, enter bus to Koka junction I think for 400, then from Koka, I enter 300 to my village Ibusa, and another 100 for bike to my house. No be by force to enter airport taxi.
Best thing is to collect the phone number of an Uber or bolt driver you used while in town. When you arrive next, you just call him to pick you from the airport. It is usually 10k I pay from airport to bestwestern elomaz or Springhill hotels on dbs road.

I tend to hold my sympathy for lasg officials because at their core 95% of them are simply bribe chasing hustlers who are looking for every opportunity to set up people to shake them down.
Even though nothing justifies the assault on that lastma official, those guys have their excesses. I remember when I just went onto the haulage business, my driver left early heading for apapa, he called me that the truck was not firing well apparently bad diesel was bought, (first full tank of naija diesel messed up the common rail injection system), I told him to come back, later he called me that he was close by, but the problem was that the truck could not climb the bridge leading to my adugbo, and that the engine had stalled, over cranking had also rundown the batteries. This was early hours of a Saturday morning, so the road was free. I quickly got two batteries and within 5 min I was by the truck on the bridge. Meanwhile latma down the road had walked to the truck. Quickly we put the batteries, started the truck to roll it down the bridge while it still had some air in the brakes, all this we rushed to do to avoid causing traffic when the morning rush starts. Oya, let moto move now, e no move! I shouted at the driver asking what was delaying his movement, omo he signaled me to come, I looked into the truck, guess why the truck could not move? One of the lastma had gotten into the vehicle and engaged the air brakes that the vehicle must not move until we settle him, in short it has to block traffic on the bridge until their tow vehicle comes from Oshodi, hmm I weak. Were they not to assist to unblock the road, shouldn't they be happy that within few minutes the truck was ready to move? For where, I had to go to a nearby atm machine to withdraw 10k to give them before that lastma removed his hand from the brakes allowing the truck to descend from the bridge.
This happened 2012 or there about. I was able to snap some pictures which I kept over the years as memories. I had picture of the lastma holding the brakes, just cannot find it, but attached is some pictures from back then. Omo, haulage business is not for the faint hearted ohh!!..

Politics › Re: Dangote Threatens Kaduna Businessman, Kailani Mohammed With ₦100 Billion Lawsuit by nedekid: 12:58pm On Dec 23, 2025
malali:
Kailani has the right to hold a contrary opinion. Asking someone if their wealth is clean ? Or how did you make your money is not defamatory ?

Before a country the size of Nigeria can safely allow a single businessman to supply most of its energy needs, clear guardrails must be agreed on. Energy security depends on redundancy, competition, and flexibility, not faith.

A sensible approach is quota-based diversification. Importers should retain a defined share of supply, and Dangote’s refinery should also be allocated a quota. Start at something like 50:50. If, over time, local refining proves more reliable, cheaper, and efficient, the government can gradually rebalance—60:40, 70:30—until local refineries handle perhaps 90% and imports 10%.

That structure creates optionality.
If a dominant local supplier ever attempts to hold the country to ransom, imports can be ramped up quickly. If importers collude, sabotage supply, or exploit subsidies, domestic refining takes the lead. Each side disciplines the other.

But eliminating importers entirely and handing the market to one refinery creates a textbook monopoly. Once alternatives are gone, prices rise, leverage shifts, and the public loses protection. That’s not industrial policy—that’s replacing foreign dependence with single-node domestic risk.

The correct strategy isn’t “imports vs Dangote.”
It’s competition by design, phased transition, and built-in escape routes.

That’s how serious countries protect energy security.
Oga over 45 licenses was given for the building of refinaries, anyone that is alleging monopoly by dangote had the option of investing their money and building, they did not, because they did not believe in Nigeria, rather they took the easy way out, risk free, import, create jobs abroad then dump. Dangote took the risk, believed in the country and almost ruined himself building that refinary. Have you not heard people like Otedola laugh at him for been insane to commit to such stressful project in naija when he could have played safe and be enjoying his billions operating out of Monaco, London, Paris? Hang on, is it that you do not know Oga at the top is probably richer than dangote, why has he not built refinaries with his billions, bullion vans, private jets, all wealth without enterprise, instead he like a leech feeding and accumulates wealth for generations by taxing poor people.
Oga some of us have manufacturing background, back then in iganmu industrial estate a bustling industrial zone, lots of factories, next thing our neighbor a Lebanese imported some of the products he manufactured and saw it was stress-free, gradually he stopped and focused on his importing, next he sold his machines and sacked hundreds of staff, (Nigerians), he turned the space to warehouse first importing what he produced previously, then expanded to general goods, from I pass my neighbour generators, to kerosene lanterns, bicycles, tyres etc, that was how other factory owners saw him progressing in challenging times, gradually all the factories in that area followed suit, import, sack workers, sell machine, use the factory space to store and sell goods fast fast without stress of manufacturing. My papa no gre join them saying it was economic sabotage. Last last all the area changed, popsi too had to shut down factory, turned the place to storage, sold the machines, once crazy importer then built a warehouse blocking the flow of water, which finally signed the death warrant for any remaining factory in that area.
Oga you cannot use imports to compete with your local investor that puts up a refinary ie imported substandard products of which nnpc admits it has no lab to know the quality. Rather if dangote will be the monopoly until other refinaries come on ground then so be it. Thank God BUA refinary and few others will soon be ready.
Politics › Re: Dangote Threatens Kaduna Businessman, Kailani Mohammed With ₦100 Billion Lawsuit by nedekid:
Seunpapa65:
Dangote just dey threat everybody up and down he is nothing but a dictator who enjoys monopoly
So, who does not want a monopoly in business? OK let's assume you are a male prostitute selling your ass around the opebi road axis, will you want another gay prostitute to be on the same opebi road corner with you?
Has dangote forced you not to build refinary to compete with him? Did nnpc not spend $3b on refinary repairs and you guys celebrated them as working, is it that dangote told nnpc to make the refinary not to compete? In cement there is dangote, BUA, lafarge are they not competing?
Where it is unacceptable is that you then say importation of substandard products is competition against your local industry. Importation by people or officials who could not invest in local production but will take our forex, to go and create jobs abroad for foreigners and then destroy our local industry. Tell your importers and farouks to open refinary in Nigeria to break dangote monopoly! Have you not realized naira is depreciating recently? In the last 2months naira was steadily appreciating against euro, pounds, dollars, infact financial expats predicted that by Christmas it will be between 1000-1200 per dollar and 1500 to a pound, the trend of naira appreciating instead stopped and it is depreciating, do you not realize it is because this farouk fellow issued permits to importers to bring in billions of liters of crude? Is it not our scarce forex that will be used to pay for the importation thereby putting pressure on the naira? Oga my paddy that imports was at my house two days ago, his ship just landed and a second one on the way, Bros came with 2025 range rover and dashed my kids heavy money ie business is moving well. Happy for him, but we know all that is farouks work giving out import permits, getting billions in settlement in return while causing economic sabotage.

Btruth:
I don't get? I thought it's been removed because of the temperature?
Most proper mechanics will require the thermostat installed back in the car or they wount touch it.
Once the thermostat is removed and the fan is made parmanent, it means the car does not get to the manufacturers set temperature for optimal performance. Eg the manufacturer says your engine should be ran at 37c, you are then running it at 20c, thermostat that should be closed to stop flow of water to inclease temperature and open to reduce is removed, so the vehicle cannot regulate its self. Omo, engine will fail well before time.
Infact when one mechanic removed my thermostat it brought out check engine warning, I scanned an caught him, had to give him money to go buy another and install in my presence.
Never remove thermostat or make your fans run permanent.

Nigeria is sold to China and France, this is all I have to say for now
I think China should exempted from there, the Chinese bring their money to invest in infrastructure, factories etc employing thousands of Nigerians. The Chinese will provide finding, get their companies to build the road, railway, port etc using theirs and local manpower, at the end of the day you see the infrastructure the loan was taken from them for. The west Eg France will provide loans through Eg world Bank, Paris club etc, the loan is handed over to government officials who are then encouraged to steal the money and hide it back in western banks. France gets back it's money meanwhile Nigerians are left to pay for loans for infrastructure not built.
