Exactly. Same question I asked a friend who recently invested in building a mansion in the east. A man well established in the US, all his kids born there, schooled and have started working. Yes he says some day he will retire to naija, but will that happen? Will he sell his business (legecy) in the US to return to naija? Ok even if he does come, when he passes on what happens to that mansion? Buildings so personalized they cannot be sold.

Anyway, by January when the new tax laws take effect and people have to cough out their hard earned money to pay taxes, maybe Nigerians will start to show interest on how their money is spent. Eg a situation where some politician is sworn in as local government chairman and the first thing he does is buy 2 land cruisers costing half a billion as official cars amongst other purchases, someone that has not seen such money then has billions available to him to squander. Go and check, the local government chairmans official car will fix that street many times over, even purchase a better vehicle to transport such sensitive products.
