I don't exchange words with touts. If you are not a tout or a village champion, you ought to know the impact of dollar rate on Nigeria economy, as a country that imports almost everything

Meanwhile, 11yrs ago, the one million naira would have been able to buy him 117 bags of 50kg foreign rice. But today, the same 1M can only buy him about 10 to 12 bags of the same rice.

Meaning that if he was to go into rice business with that one million naira 11 years ago, he would have been able to start with not less than 117 bags, unlike today that the same one million can barely buy ordinary 12 bags.

Pls don't tag me again
Ignore that charlatan jare. He is probably a kid or student being feed by his parents.

Oga. Chop am or do charity. This year I placed a budget of 3.2 m. I don't mean plus shop just executing an overdue dream. The hunger out there did not make the dream materialise, from partners running with my capital. If you have 1m to add to an already established business, good for you hoping on the multiplayer effect. If it is an untried venture aka newbie, Bros or sisi, chop am. I no go lie for you. I am not trying to scare you. I have done small business in 2013, 2023 all with millions in returns legitimately. But you see the year 2025. It's a tipping point. If you don't have the mind to tolerate failure. For the sake of this economy, chop your money.
Lol, Bros I support your idea. Chop your money know say e enter your belle. No be the one you go invest at the end of the day after stress money disappear. Lol

To be sincere, 1m can only start you a POS business. No lucrative business in present Nigeria can be up and running with 1m naira.
My advice, use that 1m and eat/take care of yourself, while you work on adding additional 1m to it by continuing doing that thing you did that gave you that former 1m.
And btw, do not partner with anybody here for business.
Laundry business nko? shop, top loading washing machine with spinner dryer, toks industrial iron, lines for spreading, nylon for packaging, ironing table etc, flyers for adverts etc.
There is a young lady I know that is married with 2 kids, she is currently running a laundry shop for her boss for the past 2 years. Omo if she sees 1m she is opening her own laundry business and will likely be successful in it because she has practical knowledge of the business. Of course I can only sympathise with her but cannot drop the money as she no be my sister, mama, pikin or wife. If naija good, na there small and medium enterprises government agency suppose help a with little loans.

The question should be why will anyone by a phone on the streets instead of in a shop?
The issue is greed, getting a phone below the market price.

Internetsavvy:
Caught my girl, a final year medical student with distinction, living a double life. She had two other guys apart from me. She even got pregnant for one of them and aborted it, all while acting completely innocent and I was planning to propose.

Something told me to run a background check before proposing. I exported all her WhatsApp chats and used ChatGPT to analyse them. That’s how everything came out. I dodged a serious bullet.
You likely dodged nothing, face reality bro, most chicks are like that. In most cases they keep their options open till they get married. They will say it is always good to have a plan B even C, afterall what if after keeping to one boyfriend for a while and the guy does not commit to her? Is that a good practice by her, certainly not, but they advice them selves to do so.
To the issue if you dodging a bullet, how are you sure the next lady is not worse, bro na who them catch be thief. You caught her so na she be thief and certainly even if you eventually wife her you will have trust issues, but the fact she is a doctor with lots of future prospects will likely curtail the runs issues assuming finances is part of the reason.

Politics › Re: Tunji-ojo Meets US Envoy Over New Visa Policy, Says FG Will Curb Overstay By NGR by nedekid: 9:37am On Jul 10, 2025
Let's face facts, 95% of Nigerians that get us visas are likely to over stay and not return. Those that are even good small, will stay and work illegally then return within the 3 or 6 months allowed stay in order not to breach some terms of the visa, they then return back to work again. The remaining 5% are those gainfully employed here in Nigeria and will go for genuine holiday visit and return within time frame. The Americans do not want those that fall within the 95%.
You say you want to visit friends and family, you now get 3 months single entry, go visit them and return to your work or business here in naija, abi did you not claim to have gainfull employment in your country? How come you can stay for eg 6 months in Yankee, then return to naija and in 2 weeks you are back in the US for another 6 months? How were you living in the US without earning a living?
Bottomeline is that the more the economy tanks, the more Nigerians will flee the country for greener pastures, most will be through visiting visas which will be abused through overstay or outright not returning. Those countries know and will continue to block travels by Nigerians.

You must have missed this:

Mrs. Vivian's in-laws, allegedly led by her husband's brother, Isaiah Eze-Onwumere, and his children, have been relentless in their pursuit to dispossess her of her late husband's inheritance.

"They said that Ebuka, his son, has the right to sell the land," Mrs. Vivian said. "I said Ebuka who did not contribute even ‘sorry’ when my husband was sick is the one who wants to sell his landed property? I said nobody will sell the land."

Why does the said brothers son have a right to sell a deceased Uncles land and profit from it, while the deceased Uncles children are rendered destitute. Even if it is family land, were they in coma when the deceased built on the land and occupied the land for that long? It’s clear this house is the deceased inheritance and naturally should be occupied and owned by his children. No nephew or cousin or sibling has any right on that house over his children. To evict the woman and her children, they claimed her children were not for their brother. This is pure wickedness and greed. They went as far as denying paternity of those children to steal the property. Yet same brother hopes his children will inherit and sees himself and his children as more DNA eligible than his younger brother.
The land I was living in was built by my late husband's father and my husband is the last born.
"Eboka has the right to sell it"could mean he is the fellow given the right or permission to sell the land on behalf of the family.
I don't know the native laws in that part of the country, but I know if the husbands father died without a will, then any such land belongs to all the children irrespective of who lives on it with their family.
The most this widows son will get is his father's share of the proceeds of the sale of the property.
Family › Re: They Threw Me Out In The Rain - Anambra Widow Cries For Help by nedekid: 8:14am On Jul 10, 2025
Until you hear both sides of the story.
Two things taken from her side, the judgement was likely "jankara", just as recently done to one politicians brother. Jankara was popular years back when judgment is gotten behind the back of someone.
Secondly it seems the land in question is family land and not owned by her late husband, she stated that "The land I was living in was built by my late husband's father and my husband is the last born"
That property was never hers or exclusively that of her husband except it was willed to her husband by his late father. You cannot live with your husband in family house and then claim the place after his death, last last if the place is sold, your husbands share of the money will be handed to you.
Long and short, lawyers will always advice a woman to get married in a statutory way, as rights are more protected.
Her outcry and points seem to be based on sentiments which will likely be disregarded, the most anyone will do is resettle her based on compassionate grounds.

SMH!
Just ignore that buffoon, he must sha talk, that is the way of Nigerians.
If the governor does not obey traffic rules and locks down the whole road because he wants to pass and claims security, it is the same buffoon that will complain that an elected politician kept them in traffic, oppressing and delaying them. Now this man decided to do the proper thing, same Nigerian are critical of him. Why can't a governor be in traffic, what kind of mentality do some people have for goodness sake?

How are you sure there was no penetration. What should have been done is to report to the police first, they assign a female officer to take her to a government hospital for examination, she is referred to the rape unit in the hospital where hiv preventative medication is given to her in case the man has the desease. Infact the police on inviting him will make sure he is tested and if he is negative she might not need medication.
Anyway the 1-3 days window to use medication is already closed what she can use now is pregnancy prevention drugs.

Funny man, atiku according to you sold all national assets Abi? but still kept Nigerians belle full, still kept our purchasing power, what has Tinubu and his apc done in the pasr 10 years, made you, I and others poor church rats, the only sad thing is you do not realise it.
Someone spoke about japaing with 20m on this forum 2 days ago. He was reminded that 20m is just over $12k. Meanwhile in 2014 just before Tinubu's APC came in 20m was $133k.
And when he took over from buhari 2 years ago that 20m was $43k. Today it is $12k. Do you even realise what this means for you and your family?
Just yesterday, I sent £1000 to my UK account, guess how much? N2,157,000! During the atikus period when you alleged he sold all the national assets, I sent £4000 and it cost me N1m.
How you as a normal responsible fellow could support who has impoverished you is quite astonishing, and requires a PhD thesis.

APC ruined Nigeria. It's why the so-called coalition does not move me. Ninety percent of its members campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015, inclusive of Tinubu. So far, Tinubu's policies, aside his crude bigotry and poor handling of the Fulani herdsmen issue, are good. So I rather have him continue to 2031.

None of the clowns in the so-called ADC would be any better. In fact, they would be WORSE!
Bros, his own is a greed on another level. Someone that can demand for huge percentage of a states revenue? It was alleged years ago that a govermorshop candidate somewhere approached him for support, oga demanded 40% of the income, the guy was so shocked he declined the offered support. See, if crude prices rises to $200 per barrel, it will not have effect on the value of the naira neither on citizens why? He will look for some elephant project to give to his cronies to syphon the gains, maybe called underground coastal road this time and award it to his own company for $100b.
Bros why do you think if you have or seem to have a dint of criminality in your history, it is almost impossible to get a proper job abroad, even in naija, you cannot get a banking job if you have committed before or even rumors you have committed.
We then korokoro handed the whole cbn of a country to people with shady, dodgy past and then expect the vaults not to be emptied. No be juju be dat?
As you rightly said, these people that make up the adc have been there before, infact all of them have been there since 1998, even as pdp, but the damage was not this bad, in 16 years of pdp, did the naira lose value to this extent of 1000s of percent? The problem is the greed of the individuals in charge today stating from the top.
They say they met a crushed economy, is it in a crushed economy you will give $39b road to a paddies company where your puppy is a director? That aside, in your personal business, is it when business is not moving, sales is down, no stock, owing salaries etc you then take a loan, sell some assets join, then take the money to build new office complex and buy brand new official vehicles?

Yeah, 2014 before the apc miscreants came in 20m was $133,000.
When Tinubu came in after buhari 2 years ago, 20m was $43,000.
Today just after 2 years of this desaster 2m is just a little over $12,000!
From $133,000 to $12,000 in 10 years of apc, buhari and especially Tinubu and Nigerians are not outraged. Where in the world will this happen and the same people are seeking re- election and still having folks cheering them? How can anyone even support this based on eg ethnic cards?
