As a Real Estate products analyst, these 2 questions have always been my favorites to pose to top agents: “So, successful real estate agent, now that you know what you know, what advice do you have for new agents or those relaunching their real estate careers? What would you do differently if you were to start over?” You might be surprised by the simplicity of the responses and the general advice for succeeding in this business. Here are 9 of the best responses and tips from top agents to new or relaunching agents: 1. Generate leads in the morning Time block every morning to lead generate in your office and connect with clients and leads. Do not schedule any appointments during your lead generation time, ever. Having peace in the morning brings a sense of peace throughout the rest of the day; the rest falls into place. 2. Break it down Set your annual goal. Break it down to month, week and day. Then each day, set your schedule to match those goals. Your actions must match your goals. 3. Do open houses regularly New agents should do an open house every weekend for at least two months straight. Three to four months is better. I know a brand-new agent who did that February through April, and it set up her entire year of leads. Don’t wait for them to come to you — go to the people. 4. Focus on 100 Focus on building your systems for finding sellers and buyers. You don’t need one client; you need 100. You are building a pipeline, so make sure your day reflects that core principle. You are building a pipeline, so make sure your day reflects that core principle. 5. Get 3 listings for a start Get three listings as quickly as possible. Everything else can build from there. 6. Set 2 appointments Your job is to get two appointments every week. Once you nail that, your new number is four. And so on. 7. Database sooner Who do you know? Who do they know? Database your top 100 coworkers, neighbors, soccer club, church and Facebook friends — all of them! Get it together fast, and start communicating with them in a systematic and compelling, value-add manner. 8. Go small Be a market expert starting with one neighborhood — stat! I know an agent who, when she started, could not afford to drive across town. She and her husband only had one car. So she only focused on her own immediate, walk able neighborhood — and she killed it! A few years later, she was a top agent in her office, and she dominated her own neighborhood. 9. Get enthused Get in touch with your fearless self; wear your enthusiasm. I’m pretty sure there is a life lesson in this tip. You are starting something big and new, so you have to show up with high energy and your best self. Get in touch with your fearless self; wear your enthusiasm. Take inventory of how you are showing up in the world, and make sure it’s the version of you that attracts people and facilitates rapport. Many top agents did not nail it in their first year — some did, but many did not. I have heard countless superstars on stage at various real estate conventions who humbled themselves by telling us the story of how they almost failed out of the business. In many of those cases, something clicked in year two or three, or they finally took the right class or found the right coach or somehow stumbled onto the right advice or actions that resulted in traction and a new trajectory. You can launch or relaunch your career today with these nine tips. It's not about her being fit or not. To me, it's just about she been given a proper and effective management here as a Super Falcon player. Am pretty sure you all know the type of attention and care they get over there can never be compared to the ones our Spended Minister will provide here. My advice for her is to just stay with the USA team if she still values her career. |
Joephat:This is what i hate about most Nigerians. Leave vengeance for God? Do you know how many have faced this same thing before this guys. And so many others that are still going to face it. Why do you have to involve God in what we humans ourselves can handle. Why did God himself gave us all the necessary intelligence we need to handle things ourselves. I think it's high time we start acting like humans and not as kids that run to their parents whenever they have issues. We are grown ups now |
Usually I don't do this but... Personally, I think the Headies award will have low value, low media attention and popularity in the nearest future. And when I mean the nearest future, I mean in like 3-5 years to now. Just my Opinion That award is loosing it's face to me ![]() |
Whytelyon:I love this ![]() |
dabossman:If you read my post very well, i said "some bosses." I was neither saying the woman in question deserve to die or what the steward did was right. Apart from that, my contribution was neither based on the financial status u referred to or the effect of the economy on the so called bosses. My contribution to the trend was based on the poor relationship the bosses have with their employees. Most of them consider their employees as slaves, treat them non-chalantly and also treat them as people who deserve no type of respect at all. Now let's go back to the financial part. Let me make something very clear to you. The effect this recession has on the rich is not the same as the poor. Let's ask ourselves. How much are these rich dudes paying their employees in the first place? What they pay them is not a reasonable amount for them to have fun with their friends in a sitting. So tell me brother. How bad can anything financially be for this bosses that won't allow them to pay this guys whose family can't survive without them. Am not saying what the steward did was right. We all know its absolutely wrong. But still, frustration can make a man do the unbelievable. |
Am not a violent person and neither do i support violence but some bosses deserve what this woman got. Thou it has not happened to me before but I have seen it happen to my friends. Just pray you don't work or have a contract with some horrible type of bosses. They are heartless when it comes to relationship with their workers. |
Either crash or frozen. Both sounds the same to me. Atleast it's making people regret ever investing in it. This is Nigeria u knw. So i don't blame all this so called Guilders making mouth about this scheme authenticity. We all know you Guilders are now like politicians. Collecting from the poor masses, making a fool out of them and still giving them useless hope. Ask any of these so called guilders if their own money is frozen during this MMM harmattan. People have plans for their money this festive period and you Guilders and ur mumu ponzi scheme never warned them it's going to make them wish they never embarked on this painful journey. It's none of my business because am not that greedy to take your so called risk. Mind you, this isn't a risk, it's mere greediness. Even buying a share takes time to yield. Am just concerned as a good citizen of Nigeria. |
I never expected Ondo state on the list anyway. A state as blessed as that with little brain twarts to run it. The only way people make it in Ondo state is through politics. Now imagine that!!! How will they dare to slash political posts apointees' salary by 50%. Agriculture is now nothing to write home about in both Ekiti and Ondo state, business is no more thriving and entrepreneurship is at its lowest level due to these states economy. Well, I believe in a better Ondo and Ekiti state. |
This is so sad. So no where is safe again. |
Am a yoruba guy. Dated Igbo girls and Yoruba girls in the past and to be sincere with you folks, Igbo girls are in everyway better than yoruba girls. I don't know where yoruba girls got their own type of training/orientation from. They tend to think like u know... Upside down. Thou not all but 90% of them does. Their mentality is somehow built on a level they ain't and can't ever be. To be sincere with you folks, my babe girl is also Igbo and believe me, no yoruba girl matches or even come close to any of her qualities. Criticize me all you want. Na you know. Its the fact. |
Are you sure Olx is still the number one classified website in Nigeria. Check and compare its alexa ratings for Nigeria with that of . is presently the number one and the best free classified website in Nigeria. No doubt |
Like seriously... You guys needs to stop this shit about institutions grading system superiority. That shit don't work anymore. Its so possible you graduate with a 2:2 from a very small state university and end up graduating with a strong 2:1 from any of these big federal universities. There are so many factors surrounding an individual performance. It's not about the school most times. Its about the individual and whatever factor favouring or against him/her. I have seen several cases during interviews in my place of work where guys from prestigious schools with good grades perform woefully and most of the ones from this small state universities perform with a lot of determination and ambition written all over them. Its all about the individual like i said before. Criticism allowed. |
Just pray you don't cross their path either intentionally or otherwise. If you should do... never mind. I am so sure i will still see a well written article on your experience with witches and wizards here on nairaland. Good luck |
Nothing like Family mahn! I think he's getting that. ![]() |
Like seriously... I don't care about what you guys have been saying about Naija Babes. All I know is we all have our different characters. We have bad men, bad women, bad girls and bad guys. Likewise, we also have the good ones. The way you will see girls that will dump you when u are broke is the same way u will see girls that will lift u up back to ur feet or manage with you. Anyone that comes your way is your luck my brother/sister. Stop generalizing. Am lucky to love a good 1. And I also know guys who do. |
Help me Lord. have seen enough of this shit |
You got what you asked for bro |
