Laid off investment and banking managers, graduates of Ivy schools who once managed multi-million dollar portfolios have found new meaning in the fundamentality of handyjobs to urban growth and survival and are using their 401k to enroll in community colleges to learn carpentry, auto mechanic, welding, air conditioning and heating, eletrical wiring and installation, plumbing, construction, water and sewage management, etc.

One of the first posts I created when I joined NL was on the same issue of families shepherding their daughters into believing that a plumber, mechanic, carpenter are not professionas and are therefore a mis-match for intimate considerations.

Yet these daughters arrive in America and Europe and find that the senior partner at their law firm is married to a mechanic; the director of their accounting firm is married to a bus driver; the boss at the bank is married to a baker.

So, I commend Governor for the decision. Now let me see which family would turn their daughter away from the carpenter in Fashola's household.

Phillip, give us clarity. What do you mean to say?

Hercules,

You missed the point!

The Government is paralysed - State and Federal. Going through the backchannel is a good diplomacy but the isse at moment does not require diplomacy, it demands tact! The university action is right on point.

Consider these 2 developments:

1. A State Governor gave a public apology to Boko Haram.

2. Boko publicly declared it is in posession of nucliar(which no one believes) asset. Truthful or not, that statement alone is a high threat to national security interest. Yet, the Govt has not wiped out Boko.

So your options for putting service members in military installations is thoughtful but its a false sense of security and will not hold. NYSC members should not be refugees in hostile zones.

Eko Ile,

Please see sports competition as a tool for bridging relationships and bringing comminities together.

Do not introduce the American mentality of expressing sports glory as a measure of domination and suPremacy.

I know you are proud of the achievements but we ought to be proud generally and respect the sportsmen and wome in the competition.

<Quote> Gumel was part of Hausa-Bakwai even b4 dem Fulani came.</quote>

Pagan, in your successive responses to clarify raised issues, I notice you commit more blunders.

Fulani created the seven Hausa states popularly called Hausa-Bakwai.

Hausas are the land owners, not Fulani. Fulani owns the dynasties and the blood line sitting in the thrones.

Gumel may have existed as an ancient province with a native dynasty but when the Fulanis came that dynasty was erased to give way to an Emirate of the seven Hausa states.

Gumel could have existed as an independent monarch with a different name but there is no way Gumel could have existed as a "Hausa-Bakwai" before Fodio.
RomanceRe: How Do We Move On? by NegroNtns(m): 1:39am On Jul 01, 2011
Dip0,

I have two answers, one from a male angle; the other from a human angle.

Here is the male response: your dyck was not made for one woman. At your age, you should let that dyck roam and select a home for itself.

Now, here is the human angle. This is what you said:

<Quote> Personally, i like  people who speak fluently, are realists, and 'modern'.  Ronke is neither of that. I thought i could change her but I guess I was wrong. She is a very good girl attitude-wise, but she is a little uncivilised. </quote>

The human spirit is in search of personal fulfillment. There has never been anyone in human history who found fulfillment by being self-sufficient.

Your personal preference dictates the criteria for filtering out those who are least likely to fulfill your spirit.

You talked about her attitude being desirable but you did not list attitude amongst your criterias. However, her "uncivilized" acts, as you called it, goes against the grain of your desire for "fluency", "realist" and "modern".

You are in a state of confusion. Ronke is ok, she knows what she wants and her message to you is not ambigous. You are the problem to yourself, to her and to Sola.

I say this because you are living in two worlds, that of the Male specie and that of Humans.

Decide and choose one out of the two.

I'm excited that I'm the first respondent to your question here.

Before you walk in to a mosque or go any further with your inquiry, I advise that you first get a Quran with English translation and read it from cover to cover.

You may have to read a second time over to get clearer understanding to some issues the first reading might arouse in your mind.

After that then you should go to a mosque or even come back here for better clarification.
