Foreign AffairsRe: Iranian Leader Demands Us Apology by NegroNtns(m): 3:29pm On Jan 29, 2009
We are in a forum discussing political issues. Different people with different styles of addressing problems. My style is to narrate the issue for clarification and then I make proposal for the solution and so my narrations are lengthy. If you do not comprehend an opinion you should ask for further clarification. You don't throw tantrum and act juvenile because of that. What you did not comprehend, many others did.

You have your style, Richy has his style, each person that come in and discuss the issue will express their opinion using their individual style of writing. Do you not know this? What is your bone about people using their individual mode of expression to discuss issue? You have problem with individuality? Again, I will repeat to you that you need to express your individuality. Are you scared of your individuality? No, you are intimidated by my individuality, I come across too strong for you, right? You don't know how to handle my intensity so you start carping, acting like a b-i-t-c-h!

Now that you confess your popular acceptance then you are welcome to hang around me and throw punches at me if that would earn the desired grades in popular vote. Okay? I mean, it makes sense that juveniles earn peer respect by challenging authority.
Foreign AffairsRe: Iranian Leader Demands Us Apology by NegroNtns(m): 1:12am On Jan 29, 2009
as "juvenile" as my perception of global politics is i still get enough people who think i make sense.
Oh, I see! Thanks for confessing. This is about ratings. Never care what anybody say, rise above your fear of criticism and be yourself. Write and share insight because you enjoy doing it and you love it, not because your opinion will be censored. Regardless what you do in life people are going to say one thing or another about you that you don't like. Hey, that's human nature but never let anyone create artificial boundaries for you and limit you within their definitions of who you are.

Step out and fly.
Foreign AffairsRe: How Exactly Does Obama's Fiscal Stimulus Work? by NegroNtns(m): 1:03am On Jan 29, 2009
I think you misunderstand the point of a Keynesian stimulus.
No one of us is born with Keynesian theory, we learn about it. I have read it and I understand it but I still do not believe it is the best fit en blanche for the problem at hand.

What is all this stuff about free-thinking? The tendency to think along radical tangents does not equate to free-thinking. You are just a deviant, not a free-thinker.

You have opposed all Govt intervention into this crisis, from Paulson's bailout to the current stimulus. All this while the market is crying out for more Government intervention. Your standpoint is quite similar to that of the majority of the population who know nothing about economics and who opposed any form of bailout. So how does that qualify you as a free-thinker?
I will let news pundits answer that for you, since they serve as your bearing for truth. Here is a quote from an opinion article on Keynes.

John Kenneth Galbraith had advice for the first point: “Never base policy on a forecast.” As recently as August, some prominent forecasters were warning of runaway inflation and urging the Fed to tighten. Forecasters failed to predict the financial crisis in September and today have no idea how long or how deep the recession will be. They’re making guesses.
Didn't I conclude along that line in my response to 4Play. Do you still believe I'm a deviant ? Ibime, the more you look the less you understand.

Richy,

Sheep David lingers amongst enlightened minds hoping that his presence earns him an automatic badge of honor as a free thinker. You are not contributing you are merely vulgarizing and looking for holes to punch in. lol! Get into discussion and share insights, reveal the blossom of your intelligence. Your mere presence here to badge and punch does not make you brilliant, it's the depth of your imaginative and creative mind that demonstrates intelligence and brilliance. Now, how many times will I repeat the same thing to you?

Stand up for yourself and speak from the well of originality in your soul, instead of using others to aspire to a greater status. It's in you, cast your fear aside and become adventurous. grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Iranian Leader Demands Us Apology by NegroNtns(m): 12:35am On Jan 29, 2009
Dear Sheep,

Can you kindly take your juvenile perception of global politics to a more appropriate thread where you have the sanity of mind to comprehend the minimal point of discussion? What we are talking about here is far above your imagination.
Foreign AffairsRe: Iranian Leader Demands Us Apology by NegroNtns(m): 11:19pm On Jan 28, 2009
Big big grammar very little sense. Iraq perhaps owes Iran an apology too no?
Of course it does! I didnt say it but I believe it. We are talking America/Iran and so I was silent on the Iraq ownership.
Foreign AffairsRe: Iranian Leader Demands Us Apology by NegroNtns(m): 11:16pm On Jan 28, 2009
Richy,

You are correct.  I think if you sample opinion in Pentagon the officials will agree with you as well.  I cannot blame Ahmedinejjad for responding cautiously to Obama.  A new American President comes in power and uses new tactics to continue old policies.  To the untrained mind it looks like a new era and a new relationship but alas, it's the continuation of the same, the flavor is just different.  Ahmedinejjad is cautious on that ground of understanding and is thus not seen to be embracing President Obama gesture with enthusiasm. Understandably, that's cool.  However, I believe back door negotiations can get Iran a lot of its demands if their leader will respect and accept Obama's olive branch for what its worth and err on the side of goodwill.  Hence the unclinching of fists must occur on both sides, American and Iran and should be free of ideological drama played out in media.

Bush used media drama to belittle Iran and this is why he failed to rein Iran in.  In fact, N. Korea too.  President Obama is smooooth, now Ahmadinejjad need to be koool and the two can accomplish in 3yrs what Bush did not in 8.
Foreign AffairsRe: How Exactly Does Obama's Fiscal Stimulus Work? by NegroNtns(m): 10:49pm On Jan 28, 2009
Ibime,

It's worthy of mention to refer you to this news link and debunk your free-for-all theory on economics. Here is a passage in the article, compare it my response which you dismissed as nonsense. Hopefully, now you will believe the news pundit and give him the merit you denied the free thinker.

"Most of the rest of this project spending will go to such things as renewable energy funding ($8 billion) or mass transit ($6 billion) that have a low or negative return on investment".

The passage is the fifth paragraph and sits next to the illustrated chart "Political Stimulation". While you are there, study that chart. In our discussion on bailout I said the government could subsidize social programs sufficiently to a point where it defeats the desire to be gainfully employed and just sit at home and earn unemployment insurance, Scoial Security Income, medicaid, food stamp. . .etc. This chart supports my projection back in September/October when we discussed these things. As I have always admonished, free thinking has its place and news articles has its place, don't let Western values dictate to you that news articles is the sole source for knowledge.

Foreign AffairsRe: Iranian Leader Demands Us Apology by NegroNtns(m): 10:19pm On Jan 28, 2009
Using a news forum to demand that apology is unwise and it is a fantasy to believe that American policy towards Middle East will include fundamental revision. Nonetheless, America owes Iran an apology for the Iran/Iraq war and should be negotiated as part of the "unclinching of fists" diplomacy.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Says Muslims Are Not America's Enemy by NegroNtns(m): 9:46pm On Jan 28, 2009
Sorry about that error. . .  fingers moving too fast than eyes can keep up!  grin  I will continue. . .

Prior to 9/11 America had few problems with these turbulent regions.  Much of the hatred we see today is the result of American aggression against these people so it is wrong to even suggest that "America does not hate Muslims".  American audience may buy that but I am not sure that Muslim audience buy it.  There existed a handful of anti-America jihadists prior to 9/11, chief amongst them was Al Qaeda.  Their primary grievance was that America and the West should cease to influence political and economic policies in their motherland because while it benefits American interest and the enrichment of the local King or Sultan or Sheik to do so, predominantly the general citizen is suffering under the burden of those policies.  Is that too much to ask?  Al Qaeda used extreme violence to substantiate its request.  To even dare to attack America with weaponry, much more execute a deadly  attack on its soil, bears testimony to the fact that Qaeda had access to the vulnerable points in American defense and it knew how to push those soft points.  CIA trained the Mujaheedins, which later on morphed to become Al Qaeda.  Add the tactics of warfare they learnt fighting the Soviets with the strategic training and armory that America gave to them and you have a formidable unit of land warriors.  Sovereign Muslim Nations did not want Qaeda on its soil.  This is why Saddam did not have sympathy for them and Iran forbade them from its territory.  Syria was against them and Saudi Arabia helped to push them out of Sudan and far away from anywhere close to its homefront.

Contrast that with today.  America has made it easier for Sovereign Muslim Nations to choose the easier of two evils between America and Qaeda.  So it might not surprise to see that Qaeda type elements become proxy warriors for anti-American stance in the Middle East and that's what we see in Hamas and Hezbollah.

Without boring you with lengthy talk, President Obama is a good candidate to reverse the damages in relations and I believe he started well.  Only time will tell.  I must say though that he is not going to gain back grounds that were lost under Bush.  Like Iran nuclear ambition or the control of Lebanon by Hezbollah.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Says Muslims Are Not America's Enemy by NegroNtns(m): 9:19pm On Jan 28, 2009
Let me start by saying I like how The President is approaching the Middle East issue. President Obama is a statesman and I can project that after his term in the White House I would love to see him become The Secretary General of the United Nations. That position is below his career status as a US President but it will be an advancement for him in terms of Global reach of influence to converge powers for improvement in human relations and peace. This does not make him a messiah, he is still open to criticisms in a number of areas where he is wanting.

Demarcations around his use of term "Muslims" ought to be clarified. The President, in this broadcast, is appealing to mainstream Muslims in specific regions. I cannot imagine that his address was targeted at the Muslims of West Africa. Can you? He is focusing on the Muslims in turbulent regions like The Horn of Africa, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, South East Asia. E

discriminatedHaving said that, we should weigh in flexibly on the new dimension of America - Muslim World relationship pre and post 9/11. Pre 9/11, there existed in the Muslim world

There is a book titled "Curse of The Black Gold" written by authors Ed Kashi and Michael Watts, none of whom is Nigerian. In the book they discuss a 50yr history of Oil exploration in Nigeria and the negative impacts of the resource to the people of the Delta region. There are pictures and blog discussions. There is no one better to give accurate account than the Deltans themselves. Represent. . .

It says a lot about a person's intellectual capacity, when that person declares that he alone is wise and everyone else is "sheepish".
WHAT! Where and when did I say that? Please clarify. If you can quote where I said I am the only wise and everyone else is sheepish, I promise to apologize to you, to David and Ibime. If you cannot find the quote you owe me an apology. Deal? grin

Foreign AffairsRe: Obama's Speech: Was It Read From A Screen Or Said Off Hand? by NegroNtns(m): 4:53pm On Jan 27, 2009
There is no question that President Obama is very capable of doing both. Judging from his neck movement, he read it on the screen. Unlike a campaign speech, I am not sure that his advisors will allow him, and understandably so, to give a lengthy inaugural speech from heart. Not that he could not but these are matters of prudence. It is political murder if he distractingly strayed off the script and incurred political liability on his administration.

Foreign AffairsReparations For Blacks - Give Me Your Take On It. by NegroNtns(op): 4:19pm On Jan 27, 2009
REPARATION for Blacks!

What is this? Africa and Black people all over the world are where we are today because of external influence that destroyed our continent and our people. We were exploited, violated, disenfranchised, marginalized. . . no other people in the human race has suffered to the extent that Black people have suffered. The Holocaust does not even come close in the scale of destruction and damages that we endured in the hands of Europeans. Today we can see the residual effect of their treachery. There should be justice for these wrongdoings. Justice include prosecutorial and reparative dimensions. There are different types of reparations. We are discussing here reparation for the damages of colonialism and slavery. That all the entities that have separately or jointly participated and were beneficiaries of the act of colonialism and enslavement of Black Africans are yet to amend these hurts and pains and damages done with savagery.

This is only a discussion and not necessarily a resolution for demand of a reparation. Let's hear your input. . . what do you feel about it?
Foreign AffairsRe: War In Gaza: Another Take by NegroNtns(m): 3:28pm On Jan 27, 2009
Anen,

What is fact? Define it.

You are another sheep on the forum! A flock of sheep parading around acting like dog, or worse. . . like pig! Did you watch the movie "Babe"? Its the story of a sheep-pig who wants to be a sheep dog and became the protege of a Collie, Rex. Rex successfully trained Babe to herd sheep. I recommend you watch it if you have not already done so.

Follow me with your sheepish mind. Let me lay it out for you chronologically Mr Organized and Orderly mind!

On first entry Negro said this. . .

Let's admit it, this conflict is being exploited for economic and political advantage by powers remotely distant from the battle field. Do you all remember Paul Wolfowitz? As long as Israel and Palestine. . . well, no, I shouldn't say that! I think enough is said here already, I will leave the rest for some other person to reveal.
After initially failing to comprehend, but with persistent persuasion from a Shepherd, sheep David's light bulb finally went on and he admited in his last response that. . .

not all military actions are the same. For example Saddam's reason to invade Kuwait is not the same as the reason Israel went to war in 1967. Saddam went primarily to annex Kuwaiti oil fields . . . Gaza and the Westbank have no oil fields at all.

Israel's 1967 war was predicated on the fact that Egypt had closed the straights of Tiran and massed troops in the Sinai, Syria had troops and missiles in the Golan and Jordan was advancing from the West Bank . . . in order to survive Israel was forced to go to war and ended up capturing:

1. Golan from Syria (which is why Syria no longer has a vantage point from which to launch surprise attacks at Israel and sniper attacks from syrian troops has stopped since 1967.
2. Sinai and Gaza from Egypt - Israel returned the Sinai (almost 2 times the size of the entire state of Israel) in 1979 but Egypt refused Gaza and still refuses today.
3. The West Bank from Jordan . . . which Jordan does not want responsibility for again.

Now here comes the question you've been avoiding for long . . . what is the economic benefit of Israel retaining Gaza and the Westbank? Nil.
Anen, here is my challenge to you, and I hope I do not have to lead you in tortuous steps like I did with David to open your understanding.

First, I said the conflict is exploited for economic and political benefits by powers remotely distant from the battle field. If you cannot comprehend what remotely distant is, please go back to high school.

Second, I said "enough already" and will leave others to take it from there. It takes a person of deep insight to understand what this means. Sheep do not have insight. What is inferred here is that there are variant outcomes, be it economic and or political and what A sees as an economic benefit may differ from what B sees and from that of C and so I leave the prerogative to the individual to conclude on their own instead of undertaking the burden for them. David then asked me to outline economic advantage of Israel in Gaza. Isn't that dumb? There are two distinct clues for him to know that my focus is not on Israel and that I was done talking.

He is locked into a feisty argument on Israel vs Arab in Gaza and so without takingtime to comprehend and reflect on my statement he stuck his foot in his mouth! Only to finally come around and agree to the same conclusion, many posts and many days later. Outside of CNN and Google and information that is copied from newspaper pundits, David does not do well in intellectual discussions, he is articulate buthe is not brilliant and like Ibime, he is definitely not a free-thinker.

You Anen, demonstrated the same trait when you stubbornly and blindly followed his shady argument for explanation and so continue to flock with David and Ibime but do not forget to watch Babe movie.
Foreign AffairsRe: War In Gaza: Another Take by NegroNtns(m): 5:13am On Jan 27, 2009
If in "exercising thoughts" from the "broad view" your communication defies the comprehension of those with whom you seek to communicate, then your broad view is flawed and it falls flat on it's face!
LMAO! Anen,

With the exception of closed minds, everyone on this forum comprehends the exact meaning of what a economic or political benefits of war means.
I don't address closed minds. In sidestepping my question you violated the truth of your cosnscience. Don't make this a general issue, leave it as a challenge for those whose minds is incapable of expansive imagination.

David,

You said wars are fought for various reasons. Really? That's a new discovery for me. Clueless sheep!!! lol.
Foreign AffairsRe: How Exactly Does Obama's Fiscal Stimulus Work? by NegroNtns(m): 5:28pm On Jan 26, 2009
I responded fully to the question when I isaid its all miracle and nobody knows. I don't know how they will attain that objective. The question was not about the theory of stimulus multipliers but rather about the "policy" being pushed by Obama administration. But you were confused so your coaching of what its about is not viable.

You act as if outside of Google and CNN and links and sources, original ideas espoused from indivdual minds have no merit. Until you change that view and in fact begin to practice it yourself, you are a sheep.
Foreign AffairsRe: War In Gaza: Another Take by NegroNtns(m): 5:21pm On Jan 26, 2009
You can choose to exercise thoughts from a narrow view or from a broad view, including illustrations of applicable stories to highlight points.

military reasons not for economical advantage
Now answer this. . . are there economic or political outcomes for military actions? Yes or no.
