Now, wassup with Jill Biden in that dress and the boots? She attempted a "Puss in the Boot" but turned out more looking like something in the red light district. grin grin

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Born Cowards! by NegroNtns(m): 10:38pm On Jan 20, 2009
Nuzo,

Thanks for bringing the write up. In a relationship of friednship between two people there are three forces at work. There is the individual force of each party coming together and then there is a resultant force of the composites forming a bond. The harmony and pattern of behavior of the relationship is determined by the resultant energy, this is the force of the relationship itself and not of the two people within the relationship. Even though individually the persons forming the union are great in their own separate lives, coming together and forming this imbalance in composite energy could result in chaos that ultimately will destroy the individual lives. Gradually, each party withdraws its contributions, whether materially, spiritually or mentally and if they were married, cheating begins, extra marital affairs begin, they start to steal from one another, accusations and counter accusations increase and sometimes it might include violent bursts of emotion. Nothing they do moves them forward or promote goodwill and ultimately they find their fulfillment elsewhere and this doomed union must end in divorce or separation.

In the case of Nigeria, each tribe standing individually had its great attributes and in our individual destinies were more effective than we are now combined in an in-harmonious composition that is not beneficial to any entity, separate or as a union. We are under the influence of that inharmonious resultant energy of the union and where we should be contributing to the central progress we are instead cheating and stealing from the center.

People have stood up in the past and I am sure that there are people willing to stand up now and there will be people in future willing to stand up. Each time people stand up it brings hope but the hope is quickly quashed before it has time to fire up the will. The will is what is missing. But the will is not there because of the reasons I already pointed out, the forces of dis-unity is far greater than the hope of unity.

If you break up Nigeria today and the component nations took back their pre-amalgamation boundaries, within 20yrs they should be able to self-correct and move on in with an individual destiny and far greater development than would be the case otherwise.

We are not cowards, our will is weakened by the effect of a dis-harmonious union.
Foreign AffairsBlagojevich Will Serve Out The Rest Of His Governorship by NegroNtns(op): 8:49am On Jan 20, 2009
Do you believe Blago will be removed from office? Lol, Chi-Town politics in full swing, from Springfield to Washington DC. Yes, he has been impeached and he is set to go on trial end of this month. So what, what's next? Chicago politics is not for the meek, you gotta have some balls and they better be blue. Well, don't worry the chill in Windy City will help speed up the color for ya!

Here is what's going on. . . Blago is having a blast! I have never before seen a criminal sleep peacefully while his accusers are loosing theirs, but Blago is the true model of a M'th Bleep'er in the American sense. His defense will hinge on three angles, two of which so far is working in his advantage.

1. collateral damage to Rahm Emmanuel
2. encounter over trade offs and the subsequent public drama with Reid over Burris appointment.
3. political liabilities for SEIU

Pay attention to number 2. You have not heard all the episodes of that drama, there is more to come. It is no news to say you will be shocked when its told. At the end of the day, powerful interests in 1 and 2, coming out of Washington DC will overide Springfield and Blago will retain his governorship. He will be convicted but he will not be deposed. . .symbolic but nonetheless defining!

Of course the Dems do not want another White House Chief of Staff convicted for perjury and obstruction of justice, which ironically was the ruling given to Libby by Patrick Fitzgerald, same Attorney investigating Blago. They are also ambitious and all around the nation they need to diminish political losses on ideological grounds. Removing Blago could shift Illinois to Republican in 2010 mid term election. Republicans would love that Blago is removed, that will open a big can of worms and you can bet that the Repubs will exploit that to the misfortune of the Dems in mid-term. It is unacceptable that President Obama should loose his home state to Republicans.

This mofo called Blagojevich got some BLUE BAWLLS and he is ready to swing it!

Already the Dems face some challenges in mid term election as it is. First, dissing Howard Dean in the manner that Kaine was presented as the new Party Chairman has fractured some feelings. Dean's loyalists are furious! Second, Rahm Emmanuel and Tim Geithner are being shielded over their scandals but Bill Richardson was left unprotected. Hispanics, already upset that their bloc was given a low profile cabinet post, now have more than enough justification to break ranks in 2010.

Tell everyone you know that Blago may be impeached and convicted but he is keeping his seat and will remain the governor till 2010. The dude should move to Nigeria, he acts like one. cheesy

David and Ibime, this is for you.

You failed your assignment! grin As a Shepherd, I hold the responsibility of teaching you what you don't know about knowledge. I should leave you to tallow in your perpetual state of darkness but because you cross paths with many other people, some of whom are Shepherds like myself, bringing you out of your darkness will certainly save those Shepherds the frustration of the encounter that your ignorance may cause to their souls. For their sake, I share the following with you.

There is substance in knowledge. There is mystery in knowledge. There is occult in knowledge. Every man desire to know. There are those whose desire it is to glean at the surface of experience, not daring to penetrate beneath the substance stage and encounter the mysterious nature of things. Then there are those whose contact with the mysterious nature of an encounter is so deeply etched in their soul that they are intimidated by what might happen at the occult stage and are thus forced into a retreat and never make the ranks.

You come here with links sourced from tabloids and news agencies and you open sleazy topics . . . "Anatomy of an Occupation", the unsuspecting and un-initiated think they are getting analytic breakdown of something grandeur from a ciritically rational mind but alas no, it is quite the opposite. The owner of the topic is copying styles learnt from "buy here, pay here" news outlets that subsist on information released from institutional propaganda "brick houses" and without which their operation is at best relegated to nothing more than blog sites.

Is there any news media in US, or anywhere in the world for that matter, that does not align with a social order? You say I believe in propaganda, ideology and conspiration. Well, thanks for recognising my Shepherd status! It's unfortunate that you did not acknowledge your sheepish instincts for believing that the only news genuine and correct is one that is linked or sourced to a web media house.

NEWSFLASH!!! That information you linked from CNN or POLITICO or wherever. . . it's old! It was the topic of our blog three days ago and just made it into mainstream media yesterday and then you shared it today. Huffingtonpost was a blog spot few years ago before it became news outlet. Drudgereport was a tabloid before it became news outlet. Even today they are no match for news press like AP, CNN, NYT and so on. . . Ever noticed how press reference their news information? Where did they get it? They got it from propgandists and ideologues like CATO institute, AEI. These are places where ideologues and propagandists converge and forecast events based on behavioral or pattern of events deduced or induced from a number of likelihoods. When the news is released to the press it is concise and direct but the press must twist and conjure it up and sensationalize it for public opinion. In a two page document, they make a subtle reference to the "key item" in maybe one or two sentences but write up a pile of bullshit to fill space and divert your focus away from the point that they don't want you to have knowledge of. "Keep 'em dumb and in dark".

Beside, I don't consume news report they way you two sheep do. You see, I prospect on political events. For that reason I must go to the source, not to the "buy here, pay here" news agency you two go to get your three days old third hand information. I tabulate what I need and go to INTRADE and place my odds. What are the odds that Libby Scooter will get a pardon from Bush? It has not happened, I am already on it and placed my bet. You two are still here unaware and then when it is reported you react to the outcome and post it here with a linked source and you call it the "Anatomy of a pardon". . . Oh you fools, you two! You poor sheepish souls!! You believe your linked news is a flash when indeed it was already predicted by Sheperds and there has been gainers and loosers on the odds of the outcome of that which three days later you are squabbling and arguing on.

Hahahaha grin grin grin

David & Ibime,

I am glad I have both of you on same side against me. You see what you both don't know is that when it comes to public information and news consumption I am a Shepherd and you both are sheep. In between the Shepherd and the sheep there are dogs!

Think of that statement long enough and I will let it soak into the depth of your minds and then I come back later and explain what I mean by it. Hopefully you both will figure it out on your own but if not just wait for me. Cheers cheesy
Foreign AffairsRe: Make Obamabots No See This One. by NegroNtns(m): 11:37pm On Jan 14, 2009
Obama DID NOT send Biden . . . rather he went in his capacity as the chairman of the Senate foreign relations committee, a seat he is yet to resign from. Infact the politico article i cited earlier describes Biden's trip as . . . and again i quote verbatim - Vice President-elect Joe Biden wrapped up his last foreign trip as a U.S. senator Tuesday after six days and a handful of stops in Kuwait, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq
If you read twenty news articles on that one topic, each would describe the trip differently.  So when confronted with many sources that are, at best, contradictory, then it is imperative that you form an independent opinion.  If you want to be forthright that is!

Look at this link from AP and weigh it against Politico's coverage.  Now, this is the mother of all news sources if we must use news reports as evidence of correctness.   Get it right buddy!  If AP is wrong, then nobody is right.   In particluar read the third paragraph.

Foreign AffairsRe: Make Obamabots No See This One. by NegroNtns(m): 11:26pm On Jan 14, 2009
So pls wht do you expect Obama to say or do? America is a country with constitution and history. Biden might go to afghanistan or whtever but there are limitations to their involvement in the present government activities. We should not expect Obama to get involved with soem critical issues like wht goes in Gaza until he assume office as the president of America. And we shouldnt forget tht bush and obama's policy are no way in the same direction. So i think the wise idea is jst for the guy to keep calm until he assume office, then he can make his opinion known to the public of wht his position is on the issue
Prince, True he is not yet the President and we understand that. Its either he is going to keep completely out of Bush's remaining responsibilities or if he chooses to go in there at all before Bush leaves office for Obama then he (Obama) must not pick and choose based on which hotbed is okay for him to lay on.

He is giving directives on Economy already. Is he the President yet?
He spoke out and delivered a speech when Russia invaded Georgia. Was he the President then?
He sent Biden to mideast to give expectations. Is he the Commander in Chief yet?
He met with Mexican President and gave assurance on NAFTA. That's Bush's role , not yet Obama's.

So please spare that nonsense about "One President at a time". You are either in or out. . . dont skip and hop! . . .but, skipping and hopping around hot issues is nothing new for him anyway. In Illinois senate he skirted around controversial issues and didnt give opinion one way or another. In Washington and as Senator he avoided controversial votes. I just don't have softness for hypocrites, I'm sorry! grin

David,  its waste of time debating you.  You stray from point of dissent when you loose ground and seek to pull the discoursion in another path.

The dissent is that Obama is refusing to address Gaza, hiding behind Bush Presidency with claim of "One President at a time" but then sends Biden to MidEast to perform Presidential duties and rally expectations for his Administration.  I say Biden is there on executive mission in his capacity as VP to Obama.  You said no, Biden is there on Senatorial mission and Obama has not been hypocritical.  After I pointed out the military protocol and how Biden was received and by whom, you drifted off to Senate web sites.  You are a easy consumer and if I was a salesman I'd love to do business with you.  You are easily sold on media propaganda.

I want to focus on the topic and chat with independent minds, please go and discuss your Senatorial position with some other easy sell on news commodity. cool
Foreign AffairsRe: Make Obamabots No See This One. by NegroNtns(m): 9:16pm On Jan 14, 2009
Biden didnt go to the mid-east in the capacity of vice-president elect but in his capacity as chairman of the Senate foreign relations committee . . . he's only doing his senate job until he resigns before the inauguration.
Woooo! How many Chairman can the Senate Foreign Relations Committee have? Senator John Kerry is in that capacity. During Clinton's confirmation hearing yesterday, who chaired the hearing?

Biden was briefed by the NATO regional commander, not by the US Field commander. BIG difference!!! There is military protocol for visiting diplomats. US senators are briefed by US commanders, not NATO or the military of other Nations serving on the ground. Any military man will tell you this if you don't know, the commands and heirarchy are distinctly regimented. A President, a VP or a delegate of those two powers is received by the highest commander of forces on ground. Any power below them is received by a field commander or officer of the highest ranking. His briefing by Dutch Maj. Gen. Mart C. de Kruif concludes that he was not there in capacity of Senatorial duty. So please get it right and don't let your loyalty for Obama blind your truth for civil responsibility.
Foreign AffairsRe: Geithner (obama's Pick For Treasury Sec.) Failed To Pay Self-employment Taxes by NegroNtns(m): 8:58pm On Jan 14, 2009
This is a test for Obama transition team in two ways.

1. Vetting. This is the second cabinet candidate that went through the Obama Team vetting successfully but whose private dealings is later found to be in conflict with their designated assignment. What's going on? Does the vetting team need to be vetted for competency?

2. Transparency. The Team has taken ownership of that word to portray an image of openess, clarity and accountability for the Obama Administration. It is self defeating, in light of new findings on Geithner, to continue with his appointment. Geithner, should show virtue and follow in the steps of Bill Richardson. For someone that will be in charge of financial policies, regulations, corporate audits and government accountability, this is too much dust raised already on his character.
Foreign AffairsRe: Make Obamabots No See This One. by NegroNtns(m): 7:31pm On Jan 14, 2009
@Post,

I call them Obama's brides. President-Elect is gifted but when acknowledgement of his personality turns into fantasy of lofty ideals that are impractable, then not only does he have followers and worshippers but he has secret admirers as well that would wish he proposes intimacy to them. That was the fever of hysteria that went all around the globe about the endless prospects ahead. Well, the veil is beginning to come off and naked eyes will once again rely on their senses and interpret the landscape for what it can deliver, not what it promises.

It's hypocritical to say I cannot express interest in global affairs because we have one President at a time but then send my VP to Afghanistan to deliver policy commitments to their President; meet with the President of Mexico and give reasurances on NAFTA. Well, is President-elect skirting around the Gaza issue because there is one President at a time . . . or is it because he found himself faced with a conflict to which he had earlier, imprudently so, swore allegiance of support to Jewish leaders and would hide behind Bush Presidency to save his neck? If it's one President at a time, what's Biden doing meeting with President of Afghanistan in Kabul?
PoliticsRe: Lagos Launches 24-hr Surveillance Camera Operation by NegroNtns(m): 6:57pm On Jan 14, 2009
Ok, let me get this right. . .

1. where is the camera feed linked to, police station or governor's office?

2. so you spot earTHMama at 7up bus stop comitting crime, shortly afterwards she jumped on a molue that drove off. Using the camera image and info, how do you track her down and arrest her?

3. so when there is power outage in an area or multiple areas, how do you then monitor events on the streets when your remote eyes are not active?

Has this been thought through or are we spending money on an impulsive and irrational project?

I believe cameras should be installed for remote monitoring and reporting of traffic flow so it will give drivers a forecast of the road conditions ahead of them. Lagos state had two towers that served this function years ago. They were called rattle twin towers. One was behind FESTAC in Iganmu and the other was across the bridge at Apongbon. They transmitted traffic broadcast on Eko Bridge and allowed optional use of Carter bridge to control flow of traffic. We should improve on what worked well in the past instead of creating new wheels that does not best fit with out society.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama, Inauguration, Oath, Lincoln, Mlk, Bible, Historic by NegroNtns(op): 12:03am On Jan 13, 2009
Information sourcing is required when quoting private works of reference or proprietary ownership. In addition, if there's a RACI ownership (Responsibility, Accountability, Consultation and Information - example : control systems; standards; data analysis reports such as Pareto charts, Data cubes, and so on. . . ) then one is required to quote the source. However, when information exist on public domain and is used for civil disourse then there is no need to source.

Ibime, the information on Reid's statement is in public domain. I suggest you go and find it and validate what I said, instead of asking me to source. That is better for you if you must know. Also, I hope going forward you can now distinguish between proprietary and public information.

I still need your response on the topic. You have said everything else except to stay on theme.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama, Inauguration, Oath, Lincoln, Mlk, Bible, Historic by NegroNtns(op): 3:11am On Jan 12, 2009
It is worth repeating here, as I did in another post, that in 2009 I do not intend to vascillate back and forth on topics that stray outside of main theme. Asking for a source where Reid stated he wants an all White Senate is inept and short of understanding of the politics of America. It is a waste of time interpreting it, I need to have civil discourse with people of understanding and sharp mind. All others can step aside please!

The Senate as it is today is all White. Reid admitted he submitted an all White list for desirable replacements and cautioned that Blacks are not desirable. Simple! Now, how else can you interprete that? Oh God, save me from stupid minds!! grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama, Inauguration, Oath, Lincoln, Mlk, Bible, Historic by NegroNtns(op): 5:07pm On Jan 11, 2009
The black community alone cannot get Obama re-elected.  Obama cannot afford to be partial to blacks.
Seun, Happy New Year, long time no see!

He was being partial against Blacks when he sided with Reid (who wanted to keep an all-White Senate) against Burris and Rick Warren against Joseph Lowery for invocation prayer.   President Clinton was more pro-Black and he did not hide his affection for associating with civil rights leader, he mingled with them.  He mingled with Hispanics.  Obama need to follow in that footstep if he wants to be a President for all.  cheesy

Obama is quick to jump ship and disassociate from stormy situations before evaluating the risks and direction of the wave.  The Burris case and Jerry Wright's issue are two prime examples.  I am waiting with everyone else to see how he Presides months from now.

. . .but Seun, back on the Oath of Office, which Bible do you think he should use?

Foreign AffairsObama, Inauguration, Oath, Lincoln, Mlk, Bible, Historic by NegroNtns(op): 7:31am On Jan 11, 2009
Obama is using President Abraham Lincoln's old Bible to take oath of office at inauguration. If I were his adviser I would suggest using MLK's Bible instead. It's simple!

His re-election in 2012 will not be as easy and a landslide as the 2008, he will be swimming upstream against turbulent currents in four years from now. To prepare the grounds he should reward the Black community for standing behind him in 08. This will more than guarantee their loyalty in the face of all odds against his Presidency.

How can he reward them? Before I go there let us first look at an issue last week from Roland Burris' selection to replace Obama in Senate. Or maybe we should even go back earlier than that. . . wink

In their contact with Blagojevich, the Obama Team allegedly submitted names of candidates the President-Elect favored to replace him. Jesse Jackson Jnr's name was not included. There was no black male in the list. At about that same time, Majority Leader, Harry Reid had also contacted Blago and stipulated that Black candidates are not desirable because they will not earn victory for the party in 2010 in Illinois.

Blago out-maneuvered his critics and nominated a Black person for the replacement. Reid declared he wil not honor any nomination from Blago. Obama declared support for Reid's decision. Ouchh!! That's what you call bad politics. Reid and Obama has since backtracked from their declared stance against Burris' candidacy but what is shocking and unusual is that none of the civil rights leaders expressed disdain for Reid as it was customary for them to do in past similar situations. Doing so now will rub off negatively on Obama. They see Obama as Black empowerement and a symbolic gate crash into mainstream America. But does Obama share their view about his Blackness? It is possible that Obama does not desire to associate himself one way or another in the ethnic tussle and other than a fair image of being the bridge of hope for race conciliation in America. Well. . .

No one can bridge race gaps in America without paying homage to Reverend Martin Luther King. No one, not even the President-Elect. He can try but he cannot circumvent it without incurring some political liabilities along the way. MLK day is on the 19th, the day before inauguration. I sincerely believe that President-Elect Barack Obama should honor the memory of MLK and reward the Black community for their support of his campaign by doing just one thing on inauguration day, take oath of office on MLK's old Bible. This gesture will resoundingly re-commit the Black community behind him, especially at their disgruntle over his choice of Rick Warren to deliver the invocation prayer at inauguration. It is becoming increasingly clear that Obama has an agenda and the word Black is not in it. What more, he walked away from Jeremiah Wright and embraced Rick Warren of all the multitude Black pastors out there.

Now, certain aspects of MLK sacrifice should be mentioned here. His children were 13, 11, 7 & 5 yrs old in 1968 when their father was assassinated. Obama loves his children very much and I know he has often mentioned in public how much and to what length he would go in sacrifice to secure their well being. MLK left the safety of his home, the warm gentle faces of his children and the warm embrace of his loving wife and sacrificed his life so Obama, Michelle and Malia and Sasha and all other black families in America today can enjoy the liberty of life and have a safe and secure well being that does not carry a price on account of the color of the skin. But for the sacrifice of MLK and other civil rights leaders, who dared to field a black candidate for American Presidency, much more win the election and have inauguration into the White House with a full household of black blood? Eh, who dared do that?

NL, give me your thoughts. Should Obama take oath on Lincoln's old bible or MLK's? Lay it on me people. . . grin

I bust the windows out your car
And no it didn't mend my broken heart
I'll probably always have these ugly scars
But right now I don't care about that part
I bust the windows out your car
After I saw you laying next to her
I didn't wanna but I took my turn
I'm glad I did it cuz you had to learn

I must admit it helped a little bit
To think of how you'd feel when you saw it
I didn't know that I had that much strength
But I'm glad you'll see what happens when
You see you can't just play with people's feelings
Tell them you love them and don't mean it
You'll probably say that it was juvenile
But I think that I deserve to smile

I bust the windows out your car
You know I did it cause I left my mark
Wrote my initials with a crow bar
And then I drove off into the dark
I bust the windows out your car
You should feel lucky that that's all I did
After five whole years of this bullshit
Gave you all of me and you played with it

I must admit it helped a little bit
To think of how you'd feel when you saw it
I didn't know that I had that much strength
But I'm glad you'll see what happens when
You see you can't just play with people's feelings
Tell them you love them and don't mean it
You'll probably say that it was juvenile
But I think that I deserve to smile

I bust the windows out your car
But it don't compare to my broken heart
You could never feel how I felt that day
Until that happens baby you don't know pain
Yea, I did it, you should know it
I ain't sorry, you deserved it
After what you did you deserved it
I ain't sorry, no
You broke my heart, so I broke your car
You caused me pain, so I did the same
Even though what you did was much worse
I had to do something to make you hurt, yea
Oh, but why am I still crying
Why am I the one whose still crying
Oh, oh, you really hurt me baby
You really, you really hurt me babe

I bust the windows out your car

I found an Igbo person that has a lot of sense and a balanced outlook and boldness to seek a path forward. Why continue to chit chat with the irrational bunch agitating war? I've moved on dude, find your level! grin

Outlook,

Thank you for the information link. I listened to the entire seminar and took time also to visit the WEO website and familiarize myself with the models and policies. Quite interesting, I acquired some new knowledge while I was there.

Yes, I am looking forward to having the discussion with you on how Nigeria should proceed on energy. My disagrement is not on the substance but rather on the absence of a coherent energy policy. Attached to the policy is the need to have regulation and I am just not sure that we can do that effectively. But like I said I enjoy the discussion and I am expecting it to continue when you get back or have the time to engage me. You will learn a lot from the political arguments that I will present. I love your objectivity and flexibility and sure glad that you are not closed to looking at it from another position. I hope you love propaganda grin

Email me if you can, I have a document to share with you.
