Contemplate on this. Reflect on it, you will need it for years to come. Keep it in a safe spot in your brain and don't loose it. With the exception of stupid minds, competent people acquire territorial lands for gains - economic and political powers.Your account of what Israel took and returned or promised to return is sheepish! Expand your mind. You are still thinking from a limited view. . .you have an innocent view of what is happening. Step out of your naivete and expand into a new horizon. The horizon of free thinkers who are not afraid to let their imagination roam. Aspire to become a shepherd. Well, in your case you are too far below the ranks you will need first to become a dog. ![]() |
"Spending Multipliers" not about a "return on investmentSemantics! When you give out money to an entity and you expect in return that amount of money plus a service fee or cost fee, then you have in principle, established a ROI. The stimulus is an investment in society and for public interest and your expected gain at the end of the term becomes your returns. Google and CNN have systematically over the years engineered your mind through news marketing and today you are a conditioned consumer. You now associate certain terms with a limited field of applications. Don't get stuck on ROI as a term applicable only to bank loans or corporate capital investments, it's application is expansive to include Stimulus spending. Read through my entire response to 4Play and you will understand my point. If you chop my response into segments that you want to score point on, then you are not critiquing my view responsibly. But of course, what else is to be expected of a sheep? This is not a linked or sourced discourse, it is a freelance idea for discussing and collecting intellectual opinions from free-thinking minds, the class of which Ibime and David is excluded. Beside, you still have not answered the Post, now that your confusion about the original question is cleared. Or are you still befuddled about the question? |
Argent, If individually and internally within yourself you fail to visualize the existence of advantageous outcomes for Israel and USA in the Arab/Israeli conflict, then my explaining it serve no purpose to your understanding. My suggestion to you is to study and understand the preliminaries and the objectives. I will give you hint. Israel has been very strategic and stepped beyond biblical history in its acquisition of territorial controls. With the exception of stupid minds, competent people acquire territorial lands for gains - economic and political powers. Now, you can take it from there and expand your vision on what those powers could entail. You should not need me to do that for you. I will lay an example for you here. During the Trail of Tears when US government relocated the Indians from South Eastern region of America - Georgia, Florida, Alabam and so on. . .- to Oklahoma; those Indians were first settled in a territory and was designated Indian tribal grounds. Soon afterwards the white government discovered that the land was arable and rich in cultivation. Interests grew among whites to forcibly pack the Indians up once again and relocate them elsewhere. So today, the most productive patches of land in terms of agricultural and mineral resources in the State of Oklahoma is owned by descendants of white settlers who back then in the 1800s saw the promises of the land and thus exploited and drove out the people settled on it. You would not argue against the economic advantage in this story would you? Use the hints and story to expand your horizon and find the economic prospect for Israel in its conflict with the Arabs. As I have said already, I owe no explanation on it. It's an individual responsibility to exercise intellectual participation on this forum. |
Xavier was leading somewhere with his post but I am not sure he stated the objective well. It seems to me that you are irritated by urban culture and not necessarily Yoruba nationalism. Your presentation inaccurately misplaced the root of the problem. Urban culture is a swing and does not discriminate although the gate keepers and runners, based on specific factors, might turn out to be largely of a specific tribe. Nonetheless, it cannot be attributed as the de facto root principles for these youths' background. Discuss urban culture and leave Yoruba customs and social values out of it. |
Larez, You definitely has failed to realize the end result. You associate my silence for a defeat. Whose defeat? You are looking at the wrong indicator for victory. ![]() |
@ Topic, Hopefully, there is someone on this forum who will explain the ''miracle of the fiscal stimulus multpilier''.That's the key word for it! Stimulus advocates themselves have no clue how it will work but they are hoping for a MIRACLE under President Obama. According to the stimulus advocates, the Govt spends $1 and, using the Obama team's numbers, you will get $1.5 in output. The multiplier is thus $1.5. Thus, not only will society get the initial $1 back, it will get 50 cents in addition.Back in September, Lehman and Merryl were hanging on a thin strand of hope, they were either going to get a rescue or fall by the way side. Treasury had told them it could not help and they had to seek a way out in the market. Both Lehman and Merryl approached Bank of America. Bank of America turned away from Lehman and embraced Merryl. One weekend late September Treasury told Lehman's Board of Directors that "you are faced with grave responsibility and you know what to do". Lehman filed bankruptcy the next morning. Here's how dirty Wall Street and Treasury is and a clear message that all their rhetoric is designed to impress clueless minds like Ibime and David that have insisted in their juvenile view of the world that the bailout is working and Treasury and Wall street are on the right track. . . When the first half of the bailout was dished out, Bank of America got a share and so did Merryl. Earlier Treasury told Lehman and Merryl to find solution in the market and not depend on it for rescue. So why should Merryl get bailout money? Merryl - Bank of America deal was not due to close till January 2009. Bank of America approached Treasury in January that closing the purchase of Merryl is impossible without some financial bailout to ease the debts on Merryl's books. Treasury gave the money out to Bank of America and the deal closed. Now we hear that Merryl's problems was far worse than was earlier understood. WTF! The point, in response to your question, is nobody knows for sure that such an outcome in a 50% return on investment is attainable. At best, they are forecasting based on historical data. The problem is, as everyone else has attested to including the President, this is a new territory and we must learn as we go along and discover new humps on the road ahead. I can see how that can work in the long term: roads, power plants, bridges,e.t.c can boost growth by lessening the infrastructural constraints on business activity. However, it takes a while to complete such projects and by the time they are built, America will be out of the recession. Unless you belong to the Roubini school of thought who think this recession will last a considerable lenght of time.Exactly, attributes from zoning laws, location based tax incentives and so on and so forth that for example benefit business districts distributed along metro transit grid and has positive result on carbon footprint or some other public interest policies. So does anybody know how spending $1 today will bring about $1.5 in output within the next few months? It's voodoo economics. President Reagan said it, not me. . . ![]() |
4Play, You are wasting your time with a sheep. ![]() He will ask you to produce links and source. When you do he will depart from the topic and try other tactics to project brilliance but he is shallow. He is a sheep! Amongst sheep there are classes, he is of the lower class. The lead sheep is Davidylan. Often Ibime does not speak his mind until the lead sheep has spoken. Some people are trapped. . .they exist within imaginary boundaries and they are timid and not adventurous or willing to take assertive steps and pioneer thought trails. Ibime will not initiate discussion that has not already been reported by CNN, Google or that cannot be found on the web. Neither will David. He is intimidated by Shepherds. The question you ask is valid and does not need a web source or link to generate civil discussion. But sheep must be led, they lack initiative to self navigate. ![]() |
Yoruba culture is rich in humanities and philosophy. Oriki is praise poetry, it is also called oratory history or oratory literature and has been used for many centuries to relay oral traditions and historical accounts from one genration to another. In Yoruba philosophy living things and non-living things posess energy and this is repeated many times in Ifa. All energies have Oriki. These are Orikis for each state within the Yoruba Nation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc1V91xDV5U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhKosHVIX8k&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OObrbNz7EU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roIRics0Dl0&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlvSJ2dc8nY&feature=related |
Have you noticed how frequent you shoot verbal assaults at other people David? That is the brain of someone who feels intimidated by another and under the instinct of the disadvantage resorts to attack rather than engaging the person at par. You lack knowledge and so you substitute your laxity, which inadvertently puts you at a disadvantage and gives you an inferiority complex, with verbal assaults to convince yourself that you can match the intimidating opponent. Promise not to use verbal assault to register your point again David. ![]() |
David, Stop reading news for its face value. Go behind the print and query the intent. I am not saying all news have some agenda behind them but when you are talking about Mid East politics you better believe it somebody had already rehearsed and proof read what is printed to make sure that nothing is given away that could come back as liability. I don't owe you explanation. You owe yourself an understanding. |
Rotflmao, I have heard of bipolar patients going into schizophrenic attack and replaying motions of an event that never occurred in human history but which nonetheless is vivid in their imagination. hmmm. . .Larez pele, you hear. God will bring you relief. For future reference, Deion Sanders was in the club with Andre the night of the incident. They both played for Atlanta Falcons at the time. Deion was also a double athlete and played baseball for Atlanta Braves. I will repeat myself, Reid's house and Babyface's house were standing inventory on the market and had been lived in by previous wealthy owners before the two became owners. You all be careful with Larez's schemes. I am not questioning his professional qualification as an architect, I dont know if he is truly one or not but this guy is a fake about his claims on some of thos designs. Learn how to digitally age your ink when you modify pictures and superimpose them with autographs. Who is the woman in the bathroom mirror? If that was your design house you would have had the picture of the house when it was finished but still empty and before the owner moved in. It looked like someone you caught in your 419 net and she sent you a pic of herself in email. Now you present that as your design . . , . . you mo`th`er`fu`ck`er ! If I hear that you 419 anybody here you are in trouble. |
I hate to join in this discussion for simple reason that my comments will no doubt generate venom from ignorant people that are talking politics before they took time to study and understand the rhetorics and propaganda of political power. Nonetheless I am addressing the post and asking here, why is it that every theory so far ratified as the solution to this problem has led to more battles and far more divisions than the one before it? We were made to believe that Arafat was a troublemaker and the only way there could be peace was to eliminate him from the scene. They took him out and hand picked Abbas because they had trust in Abbas' vision. Then they backstabbed Abbas and called for democratic election as the only solution to fixing the problem. They asked the people of Palestine to choose who they want for leadership. The people choosed HAMAS. That did not satisfy US or Israel and so they went back to negotiating with Abbas who they dismissed earlier as incomptent. What is next?? What works? Let's admit it, this conflict is being exploited for economic and political advantage by powers remotely distant from the battle field. Do you all remember Paul Wolfowitz? As long as Israel and Palestine. . . well, no, I shouldn't say that! I think enough is said here already, I will leave the rest for some other person to reveal. |
Uche, What is a constitution? |
Calm down Larez and stop your f `u`c `k` ing lies. Nobody is hating you but you should be ashamed for mis-representing yourself. Yeah you might be an architect but don't go around fronting and seeking to pull people in to your stupid scheme. Some of the designs you posted are in Stone Mountain and some are in Cascade. Some of the designs in Stone Mountain was produced by Southland and I know this because I was their client some years back. Their design center is on Old Roswell rd in Alpharetta. You are posting syndicated designs and claiming them to be under your ownership. There was no sprinter with them that night so stop it. You see the Kenny Edmonds question was a bait and you fell into it. LA Reid had a house that he sold to Usher. I don't know if Usher still own it or sold it. There was a studio in the house and that was where TLC and Jermaine Dupri and some other ones started their career. That house was a standing inventory when Reid bought it. Babyface's house was an inventoried house also. In fact the two were contracted by same property owner. So tell me something new about your building designs. I don't know about what you built for them in Cali but you did not build anything for them here in Atlanta. Are you scheming some 419 here? |

Reese, Allow me to add my commendation for the efforts demonstrated by your grandmother. That's leadership! She should be the one in local government council heading implementation of local infrastructures. But you can't help but wonder why we continue to regurgitate the same corrupt group to lead each and every time. Nigerians in Nigeria don't need every Nigerian outside of the country to come back in the country before they know they need to elect the right people in office, do they? However, our values are a misfit for the society we live in and rather than installing a merit based system that recognizes labour and can-do attitude as the right formation for our development and progress, we wrongly position academic qualification as our top brand for social development. Our thrust into civilization is backward. Well, how many of our academically qualified professionals have gainful jobs? Our priorities are screwed up and you can see elements of that here in NL as well. Pay attention to our interactions in here and you can tell which ones of us would not make strong political leaders if they were running for office but when election comes guess who will be voted in? We are a people that love sensational drama. Except for a few of us that have had the benevolent mercy of God to be awakened to propriety, we are for large part instinctive, not bothering at all to look back and mend the damage we left behind. |
You know what, we both think alike on most issues. No she did not. That explains her stiffness. She was not comfortable in it and Barack was not too sure of it either and I believe that made him introduced her in a manner to give reassurance and comfort her. His efforts were genuine but . . .I want the name of her stylist to be disclosed so I can go stone her or him or whoever it is that's doing this bad job of outfitting the First Lady. ![]() |
To all the others who passed comments on this thread, i thank you very much for your encouragement. My background includes designs for many notables in the U.S. As a matter of fact, the home that Lisa (Left-eye) Lopez burnt down was my design that Andre Rison bought. Funny thing was that they were hanging out with me on that fateful night before they got into an argument after I left them at Club 112. A few others that I have designed for include L.A. Reid (president Sony records), Donnell Jones, Babyface, One of the Criss-cross guys, and many other Football and Basket ball stars. (A whole lot of them). I am currently very interested in doing Marine communities in Nigeria such as in the attached pictures. My dream home is the fourth attached one. Thanks for your contributions and keep them coming. In your dreams. I saw your first set of pictures on page 1 and wanted to ask if you lived in Atlanta but choosed to restrain my comments and wait for you to land on the wrong foot. You are posting KB Homes and Southland designs as your origination, I hope you are licensed to use them. There was one other person with them (Andre & Lopes) that night. You said they were hanging out with you that night, name that other individual if you are truthful. Where was the house located and where did you locate the house you built for Kenny Edmonds? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If as you led people to believe and these designs are your originations then you should be able to create a template with "Nigerian Architectural stamp". Can you not? |
Rotflmao. . .Oh my! Yeah, Moremi that was very funny Where did you get that Bole kaja picture? |
First Lady Michelle Obama is on duty starting yesterday. Her public image will be scrutinized everywhere she goes and in particular her gracefullness will become subject of discussions. Which of her habits have you noticed and would like to see improved? Here is my top three. 1. Motion - She is tall with good carriage but each time she raises arms to shoulder level she unconsciously flap them down. She should become conscious of that and drop them down gently. Flapping them down symbolizes a non-challant character. Dropping them signifies engagement and presence. 2. Protocol - She is not elected but she has an office that at best can be categorized as the "hostess of the White House". When greeting people Michelle must keep it to armlength handshakes, no hugs! Hug is for family and close relatives only. She must also keep her stance and be approached; she must not be the one approaching unless the guest is handicapped and immobile or suffer from restricted mobility. 3. Culture - She is now the woman that every man must wish their wife or girlfriend was. She is the mother, the friend, the sister, the comforter of wretched souls and so her countenance must reflect warmth, nurture and firmness. She must learn to express emotions comfortably, this will be an asset. If she is seen to be cold and distant it would have negative impact on her effectiveness to reach and touch middle America and dis-advantaged America. Share yours. . . |
. . . forgot, Barack did not do good in that suit either! He should have worn coat tails with hat. His inaugural theme was LINCOLNian, his attire should have mimicked Abbe. |
The yellow dress she wore in the morning was horrible, horrible I tell ya. But the white ball gown wasn't so bad, she could have done better but not so bad. Good for her!Compared with past traditions, Michelle did not do good. Her inaugural dress gave her a First Lady entry but then her ball dress deflated the spirit. It looked like prom dress on her. |
Thanks Luca! Nice one. ![]() |
lmao, thats right! That's why he is the President, and I am not. ![]() |
Michelle had spent so many years dressing powerfully for corporate boardrooms that she forgot how to dress or carry herself with sophistication. She will need help with her image makeover but more importantly, her stylist. . .Oh my God, I think her stylist needs Jesus! ![]() What do you all think of President Obama introducing her with "What do you all think of my wife. . ."? This is anunfamiliar ground but I'm sure he will get it right with time but for tonight he stumbled with that introduction. I would have said "I present your First Lady, Mrs Michelle Obama. She is glamorous". |
Rotflmao!! Sensei, you know I'm all for you and yours any day but this one. . . . this one, I dunno about it. Sure Illinois has a checkered past with Al Copone and his Cahoots taking Cicero votes at gun points and the anniversary of the Valentine's day massacre is just around the corner. Yes, Yes we are knows as the murder capital of the US still that don't make us completely lawless!! Haba!!. I know dear, it's a twist if you know what I mean. I know you comprehend the way Chicago politics work and of course Blago is a dead man. But let me put this in a context that will give it appreciation. In 2004, did you think Bush could have won re-election? Everyone was asking for his head but yet he beat John Kerry. In 1998 Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Rep but was then acquited of perjury and obstruction by the Senate. How did all these things happen? This is rhetorical question and does not need to be answered but you get my gist sweetie. ![]() |
why am i not surprised? were these not the same "pundits" who said all sorts of things about the election. when obama won many of them went into major depression. i see kobojunkie has completely boycotted the foreign section.I don't know about other people but my position abou the election has never changed. I did not support Barack but I voted for him and my reason was clearly narrated. As far as theories, we will always spin and counter spin them. We are talking politics here, not changing oil or light bulbs. So get with the program or move over to culture or religion if you are uncomfortable with political theories. |
Lmao9 osisi, Jill wasnt shivering from cold, she's shivering from the aftermath of the koboko that Joe gave her last night for her foolish blunder on OprahI enjoy spontaneity but that was far too spontaneous. Is she on some drug? Then, it got worse when his staff defended it. I think they should have remained silent over the blunder and let it die away. |
Your woman is questioning your assertions David. That's an independent mind standing up for itself. You can't handle Karma, stop your illusions. |
. . .unless you are pregnant by a non-existing husband. Don't worry dear, you are the Best! |
I dont go by hearsays and thir hand information. I rely on the origin. You are third hand info. I am welcome in her circle anytime. |
David I hear you. I thought Karmamod has an independent mind that speaks for itself. Or did I miss something? |
