Olumide, Somehow you pepper your responses to my posts in ways to suggest you hate my faith. I have told you repeatedly and in many ways that my worship and religion is an internal one. Outwardly I see people, I don't see religion. There are bad and good christians just as there are bad and good moslems. Its not the religion but the people. Your outward view differs from mine and you believe christians are good and moslems are bad. You are entitled to your view. So far I have restrained myself from attacking you on a personal level, its out of respect. I believe you should continue to enjoy my respecct. Howevver, I intend this to be the last such goodwill to you. Any further attack of my view will be reciprocated. Discuss objectively with me not with religious bias. If you want to engage me in religious discoursse I alreaddy gave an open invitation and you turned it down. So do me a favor, I don't want any more of your narrow view on my faith and how I express it. Allright? |
To the people that say 18 is age of maturity, what is your view on a 16yr old whose body and desire is ripe and yearning for serxval contact? Are you saying you know better than her natural instinct? I think the matter need to be a family decision and the government need to meddle in it with regulations. What needs to be regulated is corrupt politicians and gay and lesbian acts and almajiri. A 25yr old gay and lesbian is more destructive and worse off for the collective community than a 15yr old engaged in consntual heteroserxval inter-course. To those who use America as gold standard for what age is maturity, let me remind that in heartland of America there are communities - Amish and FDLS- where 13yr olds are married and in fact polygamy is practiced and the statutory family laws of America are inapplicable. Let us not regulate but leave this matter in tthe hands of familly and parents to manage as they deem fit. |
Serxval instinct and physiological clock determine readiness for inter-course. There are early bloomers and there are late bloomers. Serxval desire in humans is complex, a 16r old can become aroused by visual, touch, smell, audial. Its a very strong desire that build overtime, without the proper outlet and suppressed too long it can manifest as resentment, rebellion and create problems in other areas of life and cause life-long problems. We should not regulate biological clocks. |
I see! Our acceptance of it is in reference to whether or not Western Nations are okay with the practice. I'm sure Islam would have been badgered again, as usual, if there was no North American or European legitimacy to reference. |
M4J, Thank you! |
M4J, I've spent the whole day looking for post. So u moved it? Ah, why? |
Hey Baron, explore possibility of 3-segment Q and A session for him here, will ya? No more than 15min each sgmnt to talk broadly on the nation, the way forward for Lagos and Tell us what he needs us to do for him. |
Woo wooo, hey dude, do you have any clue what we are talking bout here? I'm talking bout political campaign for a person who t two different times has held political posts in Lagos and you are scaring potential supporters away with this nonsense. Ok so his last name is Mamora from Osun state. Is Olorunninmbe his mothers maiden name and she was from Lagos. Go find that for me and bring a report here. I am steadily canpaigning for a well suited, brilliant candidate, son of the soil here and you keep jeopardizing opportunity to get supporters, some of these my contribute money and you are messing that up. Go find for me, I need the name of his mother, her maiden name, her fathers name and where they are from. Then you bring that here and tell me. People are trying to arrange for the senator to come here and do a Q and A if he can squeeze in time. Stop messing up and don't ever scare people from a campaign like that. Not good. |
Be patient my brother. When Oduduwa sovereignty is formed we wll have a new rule and the governor position will be rotational. Igbo will go first. |
Souhern republic is not going to be different from republic of Nigeria. Why do u want a Southern republic? Tell me. |
There is no Repub of Southern Nigeria. Bad idea! |
Okada_man, Na wah! I read your post, ahem excuse me. . . .I meant vent, and had to laugh. They called Gej warrior? Biafran level or MEND level? Lol. I feel you, by going into negotiation and offering them amnesty he has lost the war before it even began. He has shown all his hands as the say in card game. When faced with an adversary, the proper step is to hold back and keep some mystery. He is open and predictive and I'm sure its not gonna end here. They will use every opportunity now to do things they have always wanted but didn't have guts to carry through and it will smartly be run through his office to give legitimacy and voice later on to say "well, President Jonathan approved it". |
The leadership we get is the leadership we deserve. I doubt that they will try this nonsense with a more resolved President. Gej has yielded on the Boko issue and so BokoHaram has gained legitimacy and voice to put pressure on the country and the President is empowering that with his passive reaction. Boko is right one thing when they said this:fed up with western government and education, which they claimed, had not brought any positive change to the society. Western education work in other societies but in Nigeria its a failure. To make it a success, Nigeria need to be broken up so the individual region can support or ban western eduction in the way it sees fit. |
Well you see, Yoruba society is a patrilineal one. Identity in Yorubaland is sourced through family lineage and so in old days when we had tribal marks, the marks are distinct and denote lineage. Let us assume family line A (agbole A) lost a son on the battle front and he wore no name tag or picture badge. If the soldier had a tribal mark we can locate his family and house. So in a sense yu can say Yorubas had a means of personal identification (SSN) that predated modern civilization. Now, if a male from agbole A marries female in agbole B, their offspring have entitlements primarily in A and secondarily B. In the case of Lagos the Island has always been the center of political, cultural, commerce, social anD so on, so most often people talk of Lagos abdsent mindedly and in exclusion of other Obas in the stateAn like in Epe, Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikate, Isolo and so on. But even when you limit candidacy to Island, still, the agbole and the lineages are distinct and they are all known by the politicians and their aides. A very good example of such dispute over lineage was in Governor Jakande. There are two tapa (Nupe) chiefs in Lagos; Oshodi-Tapa and Jakande. The dispute itself was nothing but just political treachery. What if Yinka Willoughby wants to be Governor, how would that be decided? In fact this has also happened in past. The Willoughbys, the Browns, the Williams, DaSilvas, Sabados (Salvadores), their ancestors weré resettled slaves and they lived in the campos/igbosere/kakawa corridor and they have their own lineages but due to influence from the CMS missionaries and education, these families kept an arms length distance from this tree-identity structure and never thought anything meaningful of it but I hear they have reassesed that and now follow the Yoruba model. I think Sabado is the only one of these to have its own agbole or family hereditary compound. If they all have a airtight vouching process in place then political parties will field them and they will win elections. Most people think Lagos is cosmopoltan and so anybody can see office and win. Wrong! The parties vouch candidates frm bottom all way up to the head family of that Agbole. The first endorsement comes from the family llineage. If the candidate's birth/blood pedigree is in question the family will not endorse. My candidate is a true lagosian on mother's side. His father maybe too, from other parts of Lagos state maybe but Mamora is not an IsLand name. |
From what you explained here, then Igbo is not monolithic on culture, religion, rituals, customs, but language is the only common thread and the dna of identity. In Yorubaland the common thread or dna of identity is hereditary link and rituals. In Hausa the dna of identity is religion and rituals. Thank you my man. |
Lmao@AA! Tpia u are a trip! I already told u his grandparents from Lagos. His grndpa was a Mayor and close friend of Oba Oyekan, HAB Fasinro and SL Edu. Now if the Oba, Chief Edu and Alhaji Fasinro will endorse Olorunnimbe as Mayor in Lagos, then I don't know why the doubt here, unless you equally doubt those three people's tie and blood connection to the land. Who's this riffraff that's raising doubt on Nimbe's nativity? Come here let's talk. |
Rhino, I saw your post. C'mon bro, I think you got carried away. Anyway, may the souls of these guys rest in peace. |
<Quote> CuteTj: Sorry to disappoint the poster and all Mamora's fans. He is not a lagosian, he is from Ijebu Ife local government in Osun State. I can say this anywhere. You guys should find out for yourselves. Though that may not stop him from contesting </quote> Not enough info dude. How do you identify who is not from lagos or how do you kno someone is from osun? Tpia, Need comittment on this Nimbe guy. |
They should dissolve the country, a lot of people will return home to their new sovereingty. |
Dude, this is a campaign forum, please do not disturb. |
But sconsult is a non entity, don't pay attention. He has no clue what we talkin bout here. |
Dayo, My candidate is Olorunnimbe Mamora for 2015. Need your support. Edu is not christian, neither is Sarumi. |
The post is from a newsource. Why is it Uche-nana's problem for reporting facts? Nobody wants to invest in SE if this kind of rampant kidnapping goes on. |
Uche, What's cut off age for public service? |
oseph Jon: What we have in this country is religious fanatism and Talibanims. Where in the Koran does Prophet Mohammed instructs Jihadists to fight for material things like islamic banking system? Where in the Koran did Mohammed said every body must worship same religion? Is it not in the koran where it was said ''you worship not that which I worship'' So why this old man declaring war over banking system? I have forwarded his name and information to FBI as a terror suspect for interrogations. In this world if religious war is declared i wonder how many Muslims that will survive. If this old deceiver is put on the field to fight,I swear Allah he wont last 5 minutes before he is gunned down. So who does he wants to send to battle field? I swear Boko Haram has mouth today simply because GEJ is too weak. Old fools are made to warm themselves in fireplace in the cold times like this and not declaring wars. If he fails to declear that war Satan must baptize him. Big foooooooooooooooool -------------- Tell'em! |
