Why do you say that? Let me hear you psychoanalyze the writing. |
You dodged the primary concern. In Europe a moslem goes on killing rampage after his cohorts had blown up a building minutes earlier and was later found to be advocating a jihad against christians. What label would it carry in the news and government reports? |
I'm only sharing the facts with you. What did Mandela do to qualify as a terrorist but this guy in Norway is not? What was the scale of Allen Iverson's offense to qualify for the charge but a mass murderer is not? Let's use wisdom when its called for, everything has its place and there is a proper place for academic analysis and defense of abject insult. It is insukting to the conscience that a mass murderer is not a terrorist but a wife beater is, not defending that as a good thing but knowing that a provision of the law covers that adequately without the need for a bump up. |
<quote> This year is turning out to be a golden year for Ndigbo. From Rochas Okorocha, to Igbodefender.com to Pius Anyim- and now this Igbo Village. Are Igbos on a roll or what? </quote> Belten, Tell your brothers to follow your example and post positive things out of SE like you just did, instead of them coming here to whine 20pounds Awo gave them, or carrying placard to protest on highway. Eze, did you call my Oyotunji a museum? You should come visit us sometime and see how African village and Yorubanation prosper. Don't come here and get idea about claiming the land, we will take you appease Sango. Lol. |
<quote> I think the question should be ‘what are these acts of terror?’ – so we can better identify them and apply the word more appropriately, rather than assuming everything that terrorizes anything qualifies. I remember overhearing two neighbors arguing and the one started calling the other a terrorist for causing him to fear for his life. ROFLMAO!! </quote> Until the review and categorization you advocate what is the crime designation? Look, Allen Iverson, NBA player was arrested and charged for terroristic acts after beating his wife and threatening her. The bias in its designation cannot be denied. Terrorism is for Blacks and moslems. Whites and christians are good, just misbehave or suffer from mental problem from time to time but they are not terrorists. A black mosque here in Atlanta was shut down and the Imam arrested for terrorism charges because they remit money to charities which govet said was using donations to launder funds. H "rap" Brown, former Black Panther member converted to Islam and lived in Atlanta was arrested after he defended himself when police went to arrest him and opened fire on his house, I think he shot one or two of thhe cops and escaped. He was charged with terrorism when they caught him in Alabama. Until recently Mandela was listed as a terrorist. Sit there waiting for an amendment. There's miscarriage of justice by those who promise their values on human liberty and justice. |
You read right! |
3kay, If they do, there's a solution for that. |
Ileke, The report said they took to the streets protesting. Is that right? Why do they take to streets to protest their dissatisfaction? . . . .and these are warrior tribes, am I correct? I cant wait for their next whoop-a*rse to see them carry placards on hwy. Listen to the following, hear warriors cry for help. Lmao! <quote> Also speaking, the Regional Administrator of Onitsha region, Chief Arinze Igbani, said: “With all these sordid experiences, torture, humiliation and secret killings of MASSOB members in Nigeria, we are appealing to the international communities to come to our aid. </quote> What do u think? |
Another follow follow by ibo to copy and appear equal in greatness to Yoruba. |
<quote> Tell OPC to become a militant group again now. </quote> Eze, stop it, I told you several times already OPC is a socio-cultural group for the welfare and defense of Yorubaland, they have never been a militant group and are not looking for amnesty or anything that terror groups are fond for. OPC have never shed anybody's blood, stop believing all these news rumors and stuffs. |
<quote> Otherwise I swear with Almighty Allah who created heaven and earth; who sent prophet upon prophets right from Adam (AS) to Muhammad (SAW); who sent down Attaurah, Al-ingil, Azzabur and the Holy Qur’an we may be force (sic) to deploy our men to your state, Kano, and make it worst (sic) than Maiduguri by the grace of Allah,” it warned. </quote> This is serious! Allah said do not swear by name or anything sacred in vain. These people swore by all the prophets, the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Psalms of David and the Quran. This is the extreme, this is the mother of all their declarations yet. Kano and particularly this Emir has gone through the cycle before with maitatsine and I can't wait to see how they respond to this. I can predict that the Emir and Maitama Sule will use back channells to address this and get them to stand down from this threat. I am dumbfounded that they went this far with their oath. |
Wesley, If I'm thinking like a banker you are thinking like a lobbyist. Lol. Politically, we are sabotaging national interest each time we put national security to risk. Road networks are part of security assets. We should pause sometimes and use wisdom instead of pushing mental ideas that lack safeguards for more permanent and secured guarantees. There are projects that can be outsourced to foreigners and there are projects that foreigners ought to be excluded from. Road network should be one of such exclusions. One more thing to clarify, the cost recovery has the same burden regardless of who end up with the project. I did not think recovery was in short term that's something you assumed wrongly. Toll revenues are never short term and I specifically said toll and rent. |
Kobojunkie, I read your response. I lkike your posts because I see you as someone fair minded and balanced. I am shocked at this response. If the school kid commited acts of terror then so be it he is a terrorist. You did not attend to the OP's concern, vis - is terrorism a designate for moslems only? There are moslems arrested, tried and convicted of terrorism and in prison on charges that were far less in scale than this Norway terror, yet no one has seen fit to designate him terrorist. It will be different if he was moslem. Do you not agree? |
@post, We got the leader we deserve. After Obama success in America, many Nigerians see him as a model for our own leadership. Did we not? We wanted an academician with scholastic approach to governance. Did we not? Like Obama promised to "change" Washington, someone with "fresh air" to change Abuja. Did we not? Its intelligence first, second and third, forget competency, GEJ is very academically achieved and he is the choice. Did we not? Someone that can stand up and challenge the North hegemony and sit their a:se down. Did we not? Now we got that President we desired. We need to shut the fvck up complaining about what he is weak for. Do we not? If he is weak, its because we wanted a weak person. We got what we wanted and for all those 90percenters that voted him in with total regional commitment you should hold your heads up and raise your voices in his defense and stop damaging his image and credibility. |
<quote> Ibime: @ Retardeen, A bigoted eediot like yourself should keep your inanity to yourself. I do not suffer fools gladly. Your lame attempts at defending the Govt will only elicit the kind of response that I reserve for odechukwu retardeens like yourself. </quote> <Smile>. I see you've graduated to a Shepherd! Good!! @topic, If the project is built by private investors, they will also manage the recurring maintenance -repair, rest facilities, restaurant stands, auto repair stands, etc. How would a venture investment on that scale generate revenue to cover cost on the road? One I can think of is toll gates, several of them at intervals of maybe 100km or so. In addition, rent from business stands and toll from rest facility usage. There will be too many problems for the financier to recover money. The govt should build the road and outsource the maintenance to private investors. That's a better option. |
May her soul rest in peace. |
Half of Africa or the middle of Africa since its on the Equatorial line. Bi - two Afra - Africa Bi-Afra is the cutting in half of Africa. Bight of Biafra was named by European and transferred by the Ijaw/Ogoni man to iboland. |
It is settled, "Ibo" it is! |
Igbo, ibo, nyamiri, omo aj'okuta ma m'omi. . . . .we call you what we want. You call others what you want and they don't complain. Why should you if we call you what we want? You call us Yoruba, Yoruba, so what's your problem with being called Ibo? In fact, oooops, . . . .I just lost the "g" in my alphabet set. Hope you don't mind my "ibo" brothers. |
Beaf, What is plan of action on BokoHaram? |
Olumide, Your neutral stance is understandable. You can influence thoughts and views better and get support if you will use few sentences to condemn what you detest in christianity and islam and plenty of sentences to advocate a better option to the detestable religious practices in convincing tones. If you come across as venting, which you did, you will get defenses instead of reflections from your audience. |
<Quote> May I ask you how to you intend to regulate the choice in a democratic state or the freedom of man before God. While I am strongly against same sex union or public display of affection , </quote> I am glad you used the word "democratic", which means a system of governance that empowers the voice and choice of the people. There are certain behaviors and relationships in the society which are not popular for the mainstream to adopt but ought to be vigorously reviewed in view of their benefits and efect on the collective community. Democracy does not forbid religious morals. Neither does it advocate it. It leaves open for the people to steer their community in the way they desire, for or against religious practice or lack of. As long as majority agree to it then the voice of the community has spoken and democracy is practiced. The question is in a multi-cultural society with diverse and inharmonious principles, who is majority? Is majority the few ruling class above the voices of the multitude they label minority; or should we say majority is a head count of any monolithic stance and integral presence? In apartheid South Africa, majority was the ruling class which was far outnumbered by the voices of their victims. In Jim Crow America, and prior to the civil rights act of 1964, the majority is white which is few when compared with the non-white. The laws in American statutes have their roots in the desire of the ruling class to create a distinct physical and psychological barrier against the black people and stunt their expression and aspirations in competition for parity with the white man. So when talking of democracy in a Nigerian context, we need to know who is majority and who is minority in a homoserxval discussion? It maybe about liberty for America to have homos and laws that protect homos but for us its not about liberty, the majority in our society desire to keep our moral codes and that rules does not have room for homo practices. We should not confuse homo as a indicator for civilization, instead as a precursor for imminent damnatioin. This is why I said for the collective (majority), a 16yr old in hetero is a far more adoptable way, and natural for it, than a consenting adults in an unnatural act of homo. |
Sweet gala, do you want discussion or war of words? I am comfortable with both. |
Dayo, the dude is obsessive, very fanatical views on religion. Nobody is talking about religion, when he saw my post and what I said that got him enraged and spitting all that venom. But this is it for him |
