When has reading become punishment? Its for your good and knowledge. I joined from the last thread and I read from the beginning of the thread to end. Before the end of the thread, I had already gotten my visa and the my travel transcripts in the beginning of this very thread.

Some read 2-3 previous threads. And I am sure you will get a lot of replies for this your post because this your post shows you are not ready to work!

The kind jacket these people wear here in America, I no sure say you go see am for Naija. But the important thing is to wear clothes in layers.
It's better to wear four clothes in layers than to depend only on naija sweaters.

lol if i was your VO, i would have denied you the visa on account of the above. Plastics are not made from crude waste. Adhesives yes, but not plastics... also the most dangerous parts of plastics are the additives, not the monomers used in making the plastic.

We need to be corrected and better ourselves. But the 'if I were the Vo' part was not necessary. From a layman perspective, he made sense and also related it to some problems.

lol I spend the whole of today watching the 1 % of something and I have to admit it was really something awesome I didn't even move from my bed from episode 1-16 which is unbelievable for someone who is not really a fan of romance I usually gets tired.
I still can't believe it even though the female lead was just normal not really pretty and I have to say it has gain a spot in best kdrama ever

These days I just want 'stress-less' dramas. Dramas that you don't have to do too much thinking. leaving the brain for School and work...

I was at Gtbank this afternoon and i asked about their Visa card and the man that attended to me said no visa card, also asked if i can use my master card in the US to receive money in dollars and the man said for now CBN has cancelled Visa card and Master Card to be used in the U.S except if i have a domiciliary account here in Nigeria and the card, thats d only way i'll be able to get money from Nigeria. Should i just open a domiciliary account with them?

Try and settle anything related to money or medium to receive money before coming. Trust me you don't want to be stranded here. Schools here drop you from classes after the first day of school if you didnt make any payment.

And also let gtb know that you want to be able to do internet banking in case someone wants to sell you dollars whenever you come here.

To future applicants, I know someone has said this here before, but Lemme restate it (Eng 1301 restated thesis). Look for schools that you can afford be it university or community college.

I know someone that came to US last Dec for spring session but he couldn't do the semester cos the tuition was too much for the family. She lost her status and up to now, she is still going about it.

Losing your status means you can't apply for work or anything legal. So do your mathematics.
Wish you guys good luck and safe trip to those travelling. I just wonder how expensive the flight tickets are now....

After the first week of school, quiz, test and exam comes every week from either one of the courses. 90 is A and less than 70 is c. God na your hand I dey oooh.

Anyways success to those applying for admission and visa. God has given us victory.

I got funding with their help,been staying with 2 Nigerians here for 3 weeks (great guys I should say). They are the nicest people alive.
I got a 3 bedroom apartment for $480 (quite cheap) so I'm moving in next week.
I can't imagine the hardship I would have gone through without these guys cos if you don't have cars here,na OYO you dey o

If you flew with American Airlines, they will deliver it to your domestic address in less than 24 hours. In fact you can even track it on their website. Hope you complained and they took your info.

My Short travel experience

I took off from Lag with Qatar on 11th, 2:30pm Nigeria time.
We stopped at Doha and 2 hours after we kicked off to new york. 13 hours journey no be moi moi. They kept giving us food and drinks... Meanwhile pls and pls, when those oyibo FA ask what you want, make sure you hear well oooooo. because I heard rice in what they mentioned I quickly jumped to rice cos I believe nobody can go wrong in making rice not knowing its a vegetarian food.
They usually have two foods:one veg and one non veg. And they give you want. I drank enough Juice and cola to compensate their nonsense food. There are thousands of movies to watch.
I heard Ethiad dey serve peppersoup(someone should confirm tho)

Whoever brought the fear of POE should be flogged and jailed. DO NOT PANIC!!!

They don't even have time to drill you cos they know you had a long journey. they are just doing their job. I didn't spend more than five mins with the official. Showed them my passport, 1-20, scanned my finger prints and prolly took my pix and off I went.

And America is organized. In fact those people no like stress. Everything was spelt out in the airport. You can't get lost and even if you do, ask question. It was in Naija airport that the search was real but other airports had scanner or so. They didnt use their hands to search our carry ons.

Finally going to America was a mixed feeling. I wasn't excited and I wasn't sad either but I just knew it was a "start of something good".

What exactly do you need?? I can't believe you didn't find what you are looking for. Perhaps you read the thread and you didn't 'find' what you are looking for, you can ask specific question. You need to take a step before someone can assist you.
