Check your PM bro.

Schoolhike:

Hmn with this your experience channel your energy to Civil service jobs (try 10 -15 applications) could get as much as 5 interviews if application is solid and okay hopefully you get one or two yes.

Be vigilant not to apply for those positions that requires security clearance if you haven’t stayed in Uk for the required number of years needed for for the job (most happens with Home office vacancy any way )

Could give NHS a try as well, but would highly recommend the former.

Could check my previous post for more pointers.

Many silent reader came to share their testimony in my dm.

Which you good luck in job hunting.

To the seniors in the house, please I need tips and help in this Youkay job market.

I've been applying for jobs basically in the finance field both in the private and public sector but I haven't gotten any invite for interview. It's been over six months and no single interview. In fact the only interviews have gotten are jobs related to care.

I have changed tactics severally, and it seems no positive. I have ensured there is no gap in my employment history, I have matched the job requirement to align with my CV, send cover letters, apply directly from company's website but no call for interview. I have over six years experience in finance and accounting, qualified and in managerial position but even if I apply for lower rated finance role, still no call. It's frustrating the hell out of me.

Gurus in the corporate sector here, pls assist and advise. Is there something I'm not doing right?

Hi there,
Were you able to get this solved? My sister is going through the same issue. It's been on since last year and she has not heard anything after the hearing despite several emails sent. She went ahead to resit the course but it looks like that might not solve the issue.
This is delaying application for her psw.

Does she have a personal tutor?... She should meet her personal tutor for advise on this issue. Normally, if she has taken a resit, then she would have to wait for the outcome of the resit before anything else. I just hope she did well in her resit.

You may not get an accurate answer as the performance of a network provider vary from location to location. You can try checking the network most people use in that area by try connecting to a WiFi network to see a list of secured and unsecured networks there. Then go to a comparison site to check for deals suitable for you.

Thank you Chief.

Stick with the HCA role in NHS as that same experience can still open door for another sponsorship role in othe trust .Meanwhile you will need to buy more time to achieve this ,so aim to get your PSW

Yeah, I honestly was trying to avoid the PSW and move straight into T2 but it's looking unlikely. Thanks for your take.

On the basis of generalisation (this might not be the case in the trust wey dey cover where you live and NHS England and NHS Scotland are different entities), Band 2 roles usually do not qualify for sponsorship. Basically Band 2 na unskilled labour. HCAs start becoming specialised from Band 3 and above (phlebotomy and so forth) and it is from that level when you get skills wey them want that them fit sponsor. Or if your madam dey in mental health, NHS trusts (boards here in Scotland) are always interested in that one.

If your madam get the mind, una fit see if una go find all those certification/training courses in the areas of mental health care and pay for them yourself and try your luck at a Band 3 role.

Thanks for your contribution bro. This means a lot.

Good morning great people,

I have been having some kind of dilemma with regards to this T2 visa sponsorship. Here is my story below and I seriously need one or two people's opinion:

I'm a student to round up in few months time. My wife has been working with the NHS through a bank as a Medical Secretary Support for the past eight months. She has asked her employer if they can give sponsorship and they said they don't give for non-clerical role. This made us start weighing up our options to delve into clerical roles such as healthcare support worker. An opportunity came out from the same employer for a healthcare support worker training program which she applied, did interview and was chosen.

Just recently, I decided to pretend to be a worker with this agency by calling them to ask if they can give visa sponsorship for healthcare worker program at the end of the training, they said no. I was perplexed.

Now, where my wife currently works as a medical secretary, she earns 12GBP per hour and she works regular office hour Monday to Friday. On the other hand, the healthcare worker trainee program she will be earning a sad 10.42GBP and 12 hours shift bases.

Will seeking a permanent job with the NHS for a Medical secretary role give us some chances of being sponsored or we should go ahead with the Trainee program eventhough they still won't sponsor but after the program look for a permant position with any NHS trust?

As simple as I wrote this, believe me it is really difficult to think of what to do cos our student visa expires in few months from now.

God bless you Ma'am.

Really appreciate.

bigtt76:
Yes they would need your original BRP in the mail together with your completed form and passport photograph. I always advise including a registered self-addressed envelope in the pack so that they can return your BRP and you can track it too.

Lastly, register the entire pack (completed form + BRP + self addressed envelope) so you can track it's delivery to the DVLA.

You should get it back within 2 weeks and the provisional driver's license in 3 weeks. All the best

Yes Ma'am, I read the share code info on the form but when I tried using the link provided to login, it said my details can't be found.

How did you do yours using the share code?

Put your BRP and attach passport photograph. Use the postal method that allows tracking so you can always know where your BRP is. E no fit lost sha

Na that loss be my problem. I was thinking they will be something else like a share code I can use instead of BRP but it seems not.

I will do as you said bro. Thank you!.

@biggtt76

I was looking for information about the UK provisional driving license, so I had to go back to older posts and saw your comment on how you went back and forth with DVLA on your application.

Please I recently applied for the provisional driving license, I received a form via post from them today to fill. My issue is, do I have to put my original passport or BRP in the return envelope cos that's where I'm not comfortable with and they said they don't want photocopy.

Could you please guide me through this?

Response from others here will be appreciated.

Greetings everyone,

I'm a bit curious, does the NHS in England precisely gives work sponsorship to Admin related roles such as medical secretary band 4.

Are they anyone here or who knows someone who was given work sponsorship by the NHS for a 'non-clinical' role in England?

Thanks so much for this insight bro.

Schoolhike:

They would sponsor people that complete their studies in the UK, will less than 26k£ salary, in as much it’s not written in the job description that people needing sponsorship in future should not apply.

But most will ask that will you have the right to work uptill the start date of the role.

A friend was sponsored on 22k salary with civil service, and the role is more customer service related.

Basically people that studied in the Uk can be sponsored with less 70-80% salary of the job ongoing rate.

My hypothesis is that administrative role in private or band 3, 4 and above in NHS could be sponsored should you finish your studies in Uk ( bachelor, master, phd, etc ) just try to get the job and start the role, if I were you I wouldn’t bother asking during the interview or before final confirmation, but be quite sure that you are sure that you can be sponsored, or your company is on sponsorship list and possibly enlighten your hr by also printing the government guidance.

This civil services you mentioned, do they give sponsorships for BA, PM or DA roles?

Santa2:

@lightnlife Like someone earlier suggested, you can apply for roles in civil service, its usually easier to get into compared to private organisations. Its normally one interview(could be more depending on the organisation) and they would give you guidelines around questions you would be asked. The pay might not be fantastic but you will get the much needed experience and work delivery might not be fast paced and gives you ability to learn on the job. Ministry of Justice, dvlsa usually have a lot of these roles available, you might want to tweak the job title also, e.g product owner, project support et.c.NHS also has alot of BA roles. With regards to access to learning environment, register on clicked (its a site aimed at bridging the experience gap between job training and readiness) signup on an experience and pick a sprint and you will be assigned a business case that you will have to use you BA skill set to solve. You will elicit requirements, draw process maps, write user stories , support testing all through this process. The good thing is that you will be grouped with other team members from all over the world hence you wont provide this solution in isolation but work collaboratively with other.

This is brilliant!!!

semmyk:
Let's start off on this note.
- is the suspension with pay or without pay. Expectedly, it's with pay.
- is there a letter of suspension. If so, did the letter mentioned... suspension in view of investigation towards disciplinary hearing ... If the letter includes statement similar to the italic, you would be under the ambit of labour matter. Then ACAS becomes your go-to for advice or to lodge complaint towards employment Tribunal.
If not, you might have to go the Court route on civil litigation. Going employment dispute might work best though.

PS: Bigtt76 asked if there's a recording. Kindly answer this.
If you're unsure, you'll need to demand.
NB: it appears your friend has been opening his mouth too wide. In law, silence is golden. One does not go gara gara, especially the typical 9ja way.

Herewith within the limit of one-sided [audi alteram partem]
-- ex patient or service user raised a sexual complaint
At the time of the alleged incident, it the patient a subsisting patient or ex patient
-- against her previous carer
Ditto, at the time of incident, is she, the patient, ex or current.
Was the complaint filed while a patient or ex patient
Is the patient claiming she stopped/revoke the care service due to the incidence
-- since last year August and he has been suspended from work ever since ... till now the issue is still on the table
From Aug 2022, we are looking upward of 9 mths. That's gross. Can investigation takes so long, yes it can. Should it, heck no.
Bearing no unforseen or unknown fact, your friend is within his right to file (labour) employment dispute.
Link: ACAS: Investigations for discipline ...
Approaching ACAS should be the first step, however, in most certainty,
your friend might need a good employment lawyer. Obviously, not charge and bail!!!

-- mentioned hes schooling in a university,
As mentioned earlier, your friend must learn to be circumspect with words while not uneconomical or labeled as uncooperative. It's a balance within the ambit of ... reserve the right to be silent 😷
-- so they now went ahead to write the Uni to inform them hes under investigation so the uni asked him to stay away until he is cleared ... ... the police have been invited and they couldnt find any evidence of misbehavior.
In this instance, let your friend approach the university with the police report (findings). On the basis of ... innocent until proven guilty ... the university should lift the bar.
If not, your friend lodge a dispute with the university ombudsman (if there's one) and/or OIAHE: Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education
Let your friend read more from Office for Students - https://www.officeforstudents.org.uk/for-students/ofs-and-students/complaints/complaints-about-a-university-or-college/
PS: if your friend can afford it, let him approach the likes of HCB Solicitor (hcbgroup {dot} com).

-- that very week wahala started
You mentioned earlier that ... It took months for the details of the so called offence that led to safeguard was even known o ...
Which is which. Kindly clarify.

But all the same, go with a settled mind.

So what exactly does she want if a low turnitin could suspicious? If you have access to the referenced documents used, you can go along with that as evidence and show them the flagged areas on your document vs the referenced journals so they see you did not copy verbatim. You can also seek advise from your personal academic tutor if assigned one, your school's student union education officer. Their views might come handy.

Thanks Boss.

Yes, as you pointed out, some of the writings were done out of my head so they was no need to reference anyone. The topic I chose was one that is very familiar with me hence I can write about it without looking at any materials.

Thanks again for the feedback.

justwise:

Then you don't much to worry about since you are confident of your work, normal people get worried when they copied or get the word done by someone else.

Calmly explain to them what you did as they may try to ascertain if you actually did the work yourself.

Your crime here is not necessarily referencing i think you did not summarise chunk of the material you got from journal article well

Yes Sis, I excluded references and my similarity was 21%. The funny thing is that I showed the lecturer of this score before submitting and she okayed it.

Thanks for the Grammarly suggestion.

Did you try excluding the references on turnitin? When you did what was the score? I would suggest you get a Grammarly and Quilbot subscription to help with paraphrasing in the future. All the best with your meeting.
