I honestly wonder some guys here are bickering about the death sentence on the robbery suspects. These guys kill for no reason. Do you guys know how many families that have been bereaved by these guys? And here you are saying capital punishment should not be given. If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime. If you know say you nor fit face the hangman then leave robbery shikena.

When I started blogging in 2009 I did mainly for fun. I love writing and felt blogging was a way of penning down my thoughts. I only got to know that you could actually earn money through blogging just a while back. I know, Nigerians love to join the bandwagon and seeing that Linda makes lots of money from blogging, everybody wants to blog. However, there are some blogs that you see and you know that this person is doing this because he/she has the passion for it. Not some dude that will visit the front page of nairaland and copy any story that they feel is interesting word for word. It so annoying and totally defeats the essence of blogging. I do hope that someday Nigerians would stop this their follow follow attitude and learn to be more creative.

Let me be very blunt here,you need financial freedom. This is because the only way a man can do all these and get away with it is if and when you depend solely on him for everything. If you were to be independent and a career woman who earns her money, there's no way any man can rubbish you this way. Yes I can understand that men would always be men, but rubbing it on ur face like this and even giving you STD leaves so much to be desired. Now, like I said before, its because u depend on him for everything that is why this is happening. He sees you as his property, after all he will say he takes care of you and provides all your need, and besides you won't have the courage and wherewithal to leave him considering the fact that you have depended on him these past 6 yrs and probably he has given you the best, expensive cars, clothes, going abroad as you desire and all that. His thinking rite now is that, you won't want to leave such a life so you will of course want to take any bullshit he rubs on ur face. This is why its very necessary for everywoman to be independent and not depend solely on ur hubby. Even if you are not working, try and create smtin, a biz or smtin to do. However, going forward, you need to be proactive. First, u need to do a comprehensive test to find out ur status, secondly, you need to stop sleeping with him withoyut condom. You will have to insist on this, till you can confirm, he's a changed man. Then the most important thing, is that you need to bring this to the notice of your pastor and make him realize that if he does not stop what he's doing, then you will be forced to leave d marriage. Lastly you need to start doing something to equip urself for any eventuality. However, in everything, divorce shld be d last option. Like I said all men are the same, sometimes all they need is checking, those steps I have ealier given, wud definitely go a long way to check him. It mite not be thaty he dosent love you, its just that he believes he's ur provider and as such free to do wateva he wants. Finally, continue praying, God wud definitely see u thru. Cheers.

In this particular argument I'm in support of the pastor. There's absolutely nothing wrong in drinking alcohol...the only thing is don't get drunk. If there was something wrong with alcohol Jesus would not have turned water to wine and his mother would not have asked him to do it knowing that to drink alcohol was a sin...so I see no reason why pipo are arguing this. The few places that alcohol was mentioned in the bible it was never said to be a sin. Infact in proverb 31: V4-7, it was stated clearly that kings and princes shld not drink alcohol least they pervert the law but that strong wine shld be given to the sick ones and the bitter at heart. In otherwords it is wrong to get drunk with alcohol just like its a sin to over feed urself. As for cigarette, it was never mentioned in the bible. So pipo shld stop attacking those who work in breweries or sell alcohol or drink it as been unchristian...because its not a sin...its only whem its taken in excess leading to drunkeness that it becomes a sin just like anytin done in excess

@ OP I can claerly understand your situation, however, its high time you put an end to this. In a situation like this, you have to be bold. You come out straight and tell him this has to stop right now. Yell at him if you want to because as far as I'm concerned he has lost his respect the moment he decided to sleep with you. Tell him that you have decided that if he insist on continuing this you are not only going to tell your biological dad you are also going to tell his wife. That you can no longer betray his wife because as far as you are concerned this amounts to betrayal. Say it like you mean it. Tell him you already have pictures of you and him in case he wants to deny it. Tell him that should he decide not to pay your fees again that you belive God will take care of you. ( Believe it that you will always have a way out) if after all these he still insisting then make good your threat by telling his wife first and then telling your old man. Give them the story as you have given us, even if it will hurt they would forgive you given the fact that you came forward to tell them.

I must say that your fears here are baseless. Pls try and understand that your hubby is highly traumatize from the events of your delivery which is understandable. Also, note that a lot of people believe that a woman who has undergone CS ought to give a space of 6 months before having sex and a space of 3 years before considering another Pregnancy. This might be errornous but its a general belief. Who knows your hubby might be one of those who have that belief and coupled with the events that preceded your delivery he might be scared and won't want to hurt you. Also women should stop believing that once the man does not want to have sex then he's seeing someone else. Unnecessary suspicion is not a good thing in marriage. Once a man is highly bothered he's not easily disposed to having sex. So pls don't attribute this everytime to infidelity.

That a lot of girls use juju on men is no news these days. What bothers me is why would some of them want to destroy such men. They join evil cults and tend to destroy these men destinies. For the issue of sacrifice, I think that should be between the individual and his God. However, we shld all understand the need to reconcile with God at this time so sacrificing a lot of vices, been prayerful and getting close to God is more important than any other thing because in doing this we tend to improve our relationship with the lord such that even after lent we would have been a new creation and would have no need to go back to those vices. That is the essence of lent.
For the guy that asked if it is in the bible, You will recall that before our lord Jesus began his ministry he fasted for 40 days. This was to prepare him for the task ahead. The lenteen period as it is, is to prepare christians for the paschal sacrifice he shared for us all on the cross. At the sacrifice he has taken away our sins and made us a new creation. We need to prepare ourselves for that sacrifice. In the old testament the jews also observed a 40 days perion of fasting presiding the feast of passover, so I wonder where you coming from when you ask if it is in the bible. If you want to criticize do so contructively you don't criticize with a view of ridiculing the catholic church.

I have been followining what is happening in Airtel for some time now starting from the Abuja strike. It is imperative to know that there have never ever been a time since GSM came that a strike like this would be happening. Now Airtel has taken over from Zain and everyday there seem to be one problem or the other. I would advise the workers to stage a protest to the National assmbly in Abuja, because right now it seems even the NLC has failed them. It is high time the Nigerian govet rise up to this occasion. Indians cannot come and dehumanise our citizens here in Niegria. If they cannot meet up with the working standards as it is then they should pack their bags and go. Everywhere you go where Indians are employers of labour the complains is always the same and yet the govt does not want to take action on this. My friends the only way is to cry out to the National assembly, down tools and let the whole world know that you guys are not been treated well. We are all solidly behind you.
