SportsRe: Nations Cup Final: Ghana Vs. Egypt [0 - 1] by nene1(op): 6:40pm On Jan 31, 2010
Yes, they have given egypt a tough game. Everyone probably thought Egypt would have already scored in the first half.
SportsRe: Nations Cup Final: Ghana Vs. Egypt [0 - 1] by nene1(op): 6:36pm On Jan 31, 2010
Exactly, it's 75 mins. into the game and it's still a draw. Even if Egypt ends up winning it would not happen as easily as everyone thought they were gonna crush Ghana. Ghana held it out for very long. I know they are determined to prove everyone wrong.

I don't care who wins because I am an Arab west African francophone . should I root for an Arab team or an anglophone one.?
But after thinking a bit I might as well root for my neighbors Ghanaian's rather than the Egyptians .
I always feel I am an Afrcan first despite been also an Arab.
Are you from Mauritania? That is the only west african country that I know that is arab, west african, and francophone.

O, Im surprised by the poll results. I thought more people would be in favor of Egypt.

Nothing really, but they have something (like a complex) against anglophone West African countries (if you're anglo going through West African franco borders, you'll see), so I tend not to support them in sporting events except against maybe South Africa.
O really. I never knew that. The only contact I have had with francophone west africans is here in america, and we usually get along really well after finding out we are both africans. Is it a specific francophone country? Or is it most of them? Maybe within africa is different. But are you sure it's not just that they have something against nigerians specifically and not other anglophone west african countries. As much as I hate to say it, many other west african countries don't like nigerians due to the stereotypes (like 419, etc, ).
SportsRe: Nations Cup Final: Ghana Vs. Egypt [0 - 1] by nene1(op): 11:21pm On Jan 29, 2010
What do you have against francophone west african countries?
SportsRe: Nations Cup Final: Ghana Vs. Egypt [0 - 1] by nene1(op): 5:54pm On Jan 29, 2010
It's interesing how the nigerians here have not responded to this post. I guess people are still not over losing to Ghana.
SportsNations Cup Final: Ghana Vs. Egypt [0 - 1] by nene1(op): 10:52pm On Jan 28, 2010
I am scared for Ghana now. Egypt has won 18 consecutive matches in the nations cup. They have also won the cup 6 times (including 2 times in a row). Ghana has won it 4 times. They have historically been good so they might have a chance against Egpyt but they have a lot of work to do. We need to forget about Ghana vs. Nigeria now and root for Ghana to represent West Africa. One of Ghana players said in an interview after the game with naija that they are not afraid of anyone and I hope they have that kind of attitude when the are playing the pharoahs.

What a pity! The linesman killed them, the goal that was disallowed is not an offside but a clean goal. Hope to see them in Libya 2012.
I totally agree. I thought that was pretty unfair. I am so upset. Uhhh, I just hope Egypt or any of those North Africans don't win the cup again. I was supporting Ivory Coast. I guess the only west african countries left now are Ghana and Cameroon. I am really looking forward to the match between Egypt and Cameroon tomorrow. It seems like in the previous matches Egypt has been undeafeated so far. I just hope Cameroon plays a good game tomorrow.

lol, i thought i was the only one who thought he was cute. but this isn't a good pic of him. b/c of his attempted terror attack, i feel awkward seeing him as cute. he looks very young too. anyway, i was so sad when i heard about his story b/c it ruins our image more. i am also a muslim so i hate hearing about things like this. i feel like now not only arab/south asian muslims are gonna b discriminated against, but now african muslims.
RomanceRe: Why Are Men So Obsessed With Women's Virginity? by nene1: 8:55pm On Dec 15, 2009
uc nduka:
Hello guys. I read some posts saying women should be allowed to have as much fun as the males , hmm another deceit from those who claim they want gender equality. Methinks why d emphasis on women to remain virgins is to protect the female folks. Tell me who goes thru more emotional trauma after a heartbreak?if a pregnancy occurs who goes thru the pains? who goes under the surgical knife to remove the 'unwanted baby'? I am yet to see a woman who would be bold to raise her head up high in a room filled with her ex -lovers. A girl I know who can't seem to control her appetite is desperately looking for help because of the multiple emotions she is going thru. Well, for the guys most times the only risk they stand is getting STD's(which a lot of women incubate without even knowing till a great havoc has been done to their syst).Apart 4rm these, I think sex has been reduced to another mere activity and like it is always said 'when the use of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable'. I agree the virginity issue should apply to both sexes as most men who sleep around are so dumb and unproductive you cant talk sense with them as all they think about is putting their manlinesses in some1's womanliness loose men. Like amebo1 has been saying REAL WOMEN SHOULD LEARN TO CLOSE THEIR LEGS (NOT TO THEIR HUSBANDS SHA )VIRGIN OR NOT.
This post explains very well why there is a double standard when it comes to virginity, especially the bolded portions. Men and women are equal BUT we are DIFFERENT. That's what some girls fail to understand. I am not saying that men should not be blamed for some of their actions, but there are some things they can do that a woman can't do just like women can alsodo things men can't do. Our bodies are different. period.

Nansense.

BTW, we are sick of virginity threads cheesy There are probably a million of them floating around. Hypocrites cheesy

i thought a woman keeping her virginity prevented her from being on sale and letting many guys sticking their manhood in and out of her.

In this mordern times,it seems guyz dont even fancy this virgin of a thing.its believed that it makes the relationship dull & boring.but on a serious note,is it realy a good idea to propose a marriage to a virgin.i heard they become so hungry 4 sex after thier first experience to the extent that they go extra marital, Egba mi oooo.coz my potential lover is a virgin. wink
It's definitely a profit. I don't think you'd want a girl who has been enjoyed by other men. You also don't want her to possibly compare your sexual ability and manhood with her previous partners. But if i was a guy I wouldn't spend too much money on her though. I am not saying you should be cheap, but you want to be sure she's not just using you. There are a lot of girls who claim to be virgins however they have done many other nasty things with guys or they might have even been penetrated already, but just don't want to have sex with you. So be careful.

I completed undergrad. I am currently a first year grad student. I'm 23. He's 27 and working full time as a dentist so he is pretty well off financially.

go ahead and cook for him.
you can also suggest you two watch movies while eating

just make sure that one thing does not lead to another. . . . that is, if you are not ready to ''walk that road'' with him. wink
Yes, you understand. That is also another worry. I don't want to walk that road before I'm married. I want to avoid that part. I try to have us do things that won't tempt us to go there. Besides, it's only been 4 months anyway. He hasn't asked me to have sex with him yet though. When he does I guess I just have to explain it to him. We're both muslims so pre-marital sex is a big no go area for us.
RomanceShould I Cook For My Boyfriend? by nene1(op): 9:50pm On Dec 12, 2009
So, I've been dating this guy for about 4 months now. Some weekends (usually saturday, b/c i go to school) I would go out with him and some times I would spend the day at his place (we DONT have sex though and I have never slept over). So I will be visiting him next Saturday so I wanted to surprise him and make him an african meal so this time he wouldn't have to spend money for us to eat out. Is it to early in the relationship to get in his kitchen and cook? I don't want to do anything that would put me in an awkward situation.

The two can be compared. Are compared, and will continue to be compared until the labels are removed - which is probably never since humans like labels and generalizations.

Look at your forum, Most Nigerians here make a distinction about the behavior and attitudes of each tribe, or geography of Nigerians.

But at the end of the day- God sees us all the same.
why did u make your username akata? are you sure of the meaning? it is a derogotary term for you and other aa. i don't think a nigerian would make that their username lol,

and just b/c some people attempt to compare the two men does not mean they are comparable. sorry, but nigerian men are way out of their league. the same can be said for many other african men.

her color is beautiful the way it already is. africans no matter how dark or light have this richness to whatever shade of brown they are.
