Moneyman would be foolish not to appeal this judgment. Who does that sport? I think WBO needs to review its laws or come public the reason boxers can hold multiple titles.

That said, stripping him of the title can't erase the fact that after dancing round the ring, he was able to still defeat Manny Pacquiao. He has made history grin

Politics › Re: NFF Sack Vincent Enyeama As Eagles Captain Appoints Northerner As New Captain by nerodenero: 7:31pm On Jul 06, 2015
If sanctioned and with the captain's armband taken from him, I don't think he would further honour an invite to the national team. I feel bad that Enyeama is ending on this sad note.

As for Musa getting the captain's armband, I have no issues with that, besides he has been dedicated to Eagles and hope his new position will further help him improve on his crosses.

Aside from this distraction, I feel we still lack good players that we can rely on for qualification to the next AFCON.

What if the captain was just echoing the fears of the other players? It wasnt as if the captain was rebellious about it. He only questioned the choice of the state. There are some things you dont play politics with..
There are a couple of unconfirmed reports making waves that Enyeama after making his fears known, was issued a query letter which they said he tore. Sincerely, I can't confirm this.

Secondly, I learnt an invite was sent to Enyeama to face a panel setup by NFF to investigate the matter, while Big Boss honoured the invite, Enyeama didn't turn up. Like Sarakill claimed he wasn't aware that PMB invited all APC Senators to ICC, Enyeama claimed he didn't receive any invite.

The whole issue is somehow. I still maintain that the way forward is for government to face governance and allow football matters be handled by people saddled with such responsibilities.

Finally, I don't want us to lose Enyeama for now. He is still our best.

PepsiBoy:
NFF is grand-standing for nothing. I see ego at play. NFF is causing very serious problems for Nigerian football with their immaturity. How does sacking Keshi help move our football forward? How will a ban on Enyeama help Super Eagles reclaim its pride of place in world football? NFF itself should be sacked!

Enyeama expressed concern about the choice of Kaduna, and that has become a crime. Nonsense!!! NFF should treat the players with respect. Enyeama and Keshi started serving Nigeria before most of those in NFF knew how to count "ABC". It's a shame that we treat our senior players badly.
Amaju never wanted Keshi right from the beginning and powerful men under Jonathan compelled NFF to recall Keshi. Government runs football and when such call was made, who is Amaju to reject it?

With the powerful men out of the picture due to the loss of PDP, NFF wanted to nail Keshi and he played into their hands with his application to Ivory Coast's job after being employed by NFF. NFF threatened Ivorians with FIFA and they spewed the milk. the rest his story.

Keshi's sack, though painful and at the same time, it's just a pinch out of the numerous challenges bedeviling our football. Part of the problem is that for quite sometimes now, we have producing near average players and that is responsible for our dwindling football fortunes. Bring in a worldclass coach and he might not do much because for now, we lack good players. Government needs to hands off football completely before we can get it right.
Sports › Re: Enyeama May Have Played Last Game For Nigeria - NFF Official by nerodenero: 1:22pm On Jul 06, 2015
I blame NFF for making some issues public. The fact that they made this matter public is the reason it has generated a lot of controversies. The reason Eagles' matches are rotated from one state to another ever since they stopped playing at National Stadium, Abuja and in particular Lagos is political and this isn't good as it has cost us in the past.

Enyeama should be aware of all these political moves by government and besides, other junior teams have played in the same stadium and yet we have had no issue. NFF would have tolerated this if the fear was expressed by our opponent and not the Eagles' captain.

Enyeama should also remember that Decree 101 has not been abolished which empowers government to dictate how football is organised in the country and whoever pays the piper, dictate the tune. Enyeama's outburst, though normal, put him in a wrong position with the government.

Above all, for our football to grow, government must hands off and all challenges would be solved easily.
Frankiss44:
What exactly is his offense? because as a captain, he questioned the safety Kaduna? NFF under picknick is turning into something else
Sports › Re: Enyeama May Have Played Last Game For Nigeria - NFF Official by nerodenero: 10:31am On Jul 06, 2015
With Keshi's sack, NFF has suddenly grown some balls. Strip him of the captain's armband and a fine would do but don't ban him. He is our best player for now.

Politics › Re: Tribunal: Melaye Accuses Tinubu Of Backing Adeyemi At A’court by nerodenero:
I have never liked Tinubu, even as a Governor in Lagos State but something must be unique about this man such that nothing goes up and down without the mention of his name.

That said, you don't go against your perceived godfather and expect soft landing. Even if Tinubu claims he isn't witch hunting anybody, he has been witch-hunted and they should expect him to fight back.

Again, Kogi State where Dino Melaye hails from was carved out from Kwara so I guess his loyalty with Sarakill started a long time ago.

They can't create but they can destroy
They can't make but they can take
They can't give life but very swift to take one
They can kill but they don't want to die.

God isn't man because if God was man, many of these evil people will never enjoy mercy even if they repent.

Live and let us live, is that too much to ask for from these Bokoharam, Fulani Herdsmen and Unknown Gunmen? RIP to the dead.

I think APC is lying especially when the statement is issued by Lie Mohammed.

That said, I think APC has a hand in the whole issue and I also believe PDP would have done the same if they are still the ruling party. So APC, like PDP.

All these distractions are not needed when there are so many challenges facing the nation that needs urgent attention. I suggest APC should sheath their sword and allow peace reign. The Deputy Senate seat is lost and gone for now to the opposition.

Sports › Re: Why We Sacked Stephen Keshi- NFF by nerodenero: 6:21pm On Jul 05, 2015
Amaju Pinnick-led NFF never wanted Keshi and he made it known on assumption of office. NFF sacked him and were made to rescind their decision because powerful men under Jonathan compelled them to do so, the reason they dragged the matter of appointing him so long.

Even when the powerful men left power, it would have been childish for them to sack him again, so they offered him a contract while looking for any lapses to sack him. Unfortunately, the Ivorian job gave them that opportunity to do the needful and unfortunately, Keshi had no powerful men to fight his course. His sack was imminent, besides, sacking is part of the job.

In 2011, I was one of the numerous Jonathan fans that voted him amidst intimidation from Buhari's CPC fans in the North. I don't support polithiefcians because they never say what they mean and will never mean what they say. All that will gladden my heart is good governance, the one that the welfare of the common man will be paramount to the government.

So in two years' time, if PMB doesn't perform, I will support in 2019, he be sent back to Daura, same way GEJ was sent to Otueke.
