Putin has since lost the war. Victory isn't simply conquering Ukraine. What of the Russian economy which will remain in tatters? What of the sanctions in place? What of the Ukraine reparation and reconstruction bill? What of his stolen wealth stashed in the West? What about him being a war criminal?

Yes, Putin will weaponize energy and already, Bulgaria and Poland will be the first 2 to taste it first hand. Though this might cause a softening of the their attitude to Russia, any sanctions remaining will still be backbreaking.
