Don't mislead yourself and others with twisted piece of skewed history. Calabar was never Nigeria's capital at any point in time in Nigeria's history.

That's how water fountains look at night even In developed and saner climes. There's nothIng wrong with makIng water fountains look colorful, it adds aesthetics to the road inter-changes this is not like Umahi's color riot in Ebonyi.
This road looks very mature and can be compared to roads in saner climes, there's no indiscriminate display of ornamental light everywhere like what we see on Abakaliki roads.
But I'd like to ask, what's with all these governors' fascination with colorful lights on serious stuff like this, making the whole thing look childish? From Kano to Akwa Ibom, the pictures are the same.
Seems only Wike doesn't bother himself with all that gaudy nonsense.
This road the axis from Airport road to Goodluck Jonathan Boulevard will be named after the late Air Commodore Idongesit Okon Nkanga(rtd), the first and only indigenous Military Governor of Akwa Governorom State.

Don't even start o. if I'm a bigot like you, I would have asked you what Akpabio did in the whole of Eket Senatorial District in his 8 yrs as AKS governor.
Any infrastructure built in Uyo is for everybody, cos people from all over the state and the country lives there.
I dare anyone or udom Emmanuel to point out one project he has executed in the entire ikot ekepene senatorial district through out his 7 years+ in office.
All he does is taking big projects to Uyo and Eket his home town. No good road in Ananng apart from those executed during Godswill Akpabio administration, no tangible projects in the entire Ananng (ikot ekepene senatorial district) land from Udom Emmanuel and I hope the people of Ikot ekepene senatorial district can see that. I'm not a fan of Godswill Akpabio nor APC but I will always commend him for all the good job he did in Akwa Ibom
The same way Bornu people were slaughtered under Shettima's watch and was pointing accusing fingers at President in Abuja abi Na Hypocrisy wan kill you.
Buhari is a bloody failure. Posterity will never forgive him for allowing this unending blood shed to happen under his watch as the C-i-C.
Officialgarri: They have a governor in that state whose own village is under attack but he can't protect his people talk more of the state. Rather, the useless man will be pointing to Abuja.
Months of salaries remain unpaid.
Infrastructure is zero under him.
At the end of the month, he would drop a speech for his sycophants to cover his uselessness. ..
Don't mind the ediot. He's trying to shift blame to Ortom, because is now the commander-in-chief.
MyFlair: That was exactly what shetima did in bornu as a sitting governor. Under his watch, more than 300 school girls were kidnapped and he was pointing to Abuja Hypocritical idiots
UPDATE: SA on Works, Engr Aramide Adeyoye, this morning visited the Awoyaya Axis of the Epe Expressway together with Several Stakeholders like @Craneburg_@LekkiLersa in response to the complains about the ONGOING Construction of Eleko to Abraham Adesanya road. 🚧 @Gidi_Trafficpic.twitter.com/7EmzAojTLp
This is beautiful, very impressive, and commendable. Udom is working, And Akwa Ibom nnyin is rising!
May God Almighty continue to bless AKS with selfless, hardworking, very intelligent, very futuristic, visionary, and dedicated leaders.
Well done Gov. Udom Emmanuel. Kudos to Hensek integrated services for a job well done.

Look at this ediot... Till Soludo completes his tenure, he won't have any road close to any of these roads in your state of Anambra. Thank God you guys are now Oil producing state, let me see the dumb excuses that you trolls will come here to give.
Are your people not the ones selling sachet water and Galla in every nook and crannies of this country Bitter soul like you.
Tomek09: Super high way yet every nook and cranny of Abuja, Lagos and Enugu is filled with their people doing 10K/month househelp and gateman work. All these oil rich States have corrupt leaders who don't care about the plight and wretchedness of their people. Stupid idiots.
9japride: I believe Awka Ibom state is the richest state in Nigeria? It should be in competition with Dubai. To me it seems every state has BMC kind of organisation that help them market their works. Most of these Niger Delta state just love to flex with state resources, buying latest SUVs. Instead of them to invest in their youths and create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Greed and wickedness is the only type of politics they all know how to play. Such a pity.
What do you know about Akwa Ibom State You can never compare to Akwa Ibom State, cos AKS is on another level.
wiseoneking: Not really a big deal coming from Akwaibom. This is a state that gets ten times federal allocation than a state like Ebonyi yet, Ebonyi state government are doing great, even if not greater. Balyelsa, Delta are worst . I think Akwaibom is trying but not really great with respect of what they are getting. Despite all the wealth of such states like Akwaibom, Anambra will still be ahead of them in every indices of development. I personally like Akwaibom state and her people.

Governor Udom Emmanuel is changing the outlook and capacity of the Victor Attah International Airport from a mere aircraft landing bay to a world-class airport that can handle International flights operations, cargo services and repairs/maintenance of all manners of aircraft.
This is in line with Mr Emmanuel’s promise to transform Akwa Ibom into one of the best aviation hubs of Africa.
The nearly completed terminal building is currently undergoing installation of mechanical and electrical components and looks set to meet the vision of the State Chief Executive. It comes with:
A digital self check-in by a robot, (pre-planned before COVID-19, and a clinic.
Five bridges, seven elevators, and four escalators which are pressure sensitive and only move when a passenger is detected.
Special roofing that can last up to 200 years without changing its colour.
Very high security architecture with access through fingerprint, digital pass or card pass.
Four methods of fire prevention: fire extinguishers, fire water sprinkler system, fire detectors, FM 200 ie automated fire suppression system.
The terminal which is designed to accommodate one million passengers per year, occupies a total area of about 30,000 square meters.
Also nearly completed is the 1st ever Maintenance, Repairs and Overhaul facility of the airport which is estimated to be 91% completed.
The airport also comes with a second runway and new aprons for all categories of aircrafts.
To handle the impending influx of massive traffic to the airport, Mr Udom Emmanuel is expanding the dual carriage Uyo - Airport Road, into an Eight-Lane Highway.
With Aviation Development as one of the fundamentals of his Eight Points Agenda, #MrUdomEmmanuel is silently exhibiting character and competence in fulfilling his campaign promises to the state.
