Ita ado ndisime ye ibak abak idem , cos that very road passes through his own LGA.
Akwa Ibom State Government can not pay such compensation and I support the Governor for that. What is good for the Goose is also good for the Gander.
The Railway that Buhari is constructing to the Niger Republic, is he not the one paying compensation The Lagos - Ibadan expressway, is it not the FG that paid for the right of way, same with Enugu-PH expressway, Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway, etc.
Then whosoever that asked the AKSG and CRSG to pay for the right of way for the construction of the Calabar-Odukpani-Itu-Ikot Ekpene-Aba Federal Highway must be sick in the head.
GardenOfGod: Akwa Ibom Governor Faults Federal Govt Over Rehabilitation Of Highways
*The governor said Akwa Ibom has been unfairly treated by the federal government.
NANS should go and protest in front of Aso Rock gate and probably block the main entrance if they can and as well block the main entrance to the National Assembly all in Abuja. Cos those who are keeping them a home indefinitely are in those places.
They should stop blocking the Airport road, cos it's not Air travelers that are resposible for them staying at home till this day.
After all, some of them were among those who help bring this catastrophic government to power, And some of them are still BATified, so let them enjoy their indefinite stay at home Cos what they failed to have stood against yesterday is standing against them today.
StagethemTVee: Omoyele Sowore has denied the request from the Nigerian Police asking him to plead with protesting University students to open the Lagos International Airport Road.
The presidential candidate of the AAC is heard in the video saying he can't negotiate that request with the NANS body leading the protest. The Police Boss however pleaded that point has been made as the students have blocked the road for over 7 hours.
it's only time that will tell and not you if na cruise or not
Allahmuzayaf: Na Cruise,na only town criers go take am serious, lol All these ones are here complaining,Dem no even know if the man approve of the post sef.
is either your neighbor refuses to tell you the truth may be out of ill-will against the governor who has refused to throw monies in the air as his immediate predecessor used to do but he's working on life-changing projects that will turn around the fortunes of the people of the state, nor he doesn't know where these projects exist within the state. it's possible to travel home even 10 times a year but not to visit where these projects exist. if I may ask you, does this look like photoshopped images
Without holding brief for anybody, the truth is that Udom is working and his achievements are there on the ground for every lover of progress and good works to see.
When a leader does good work it is possible that not everyone will want to see that, so you can choose which side you are.
Ahmed0336: Wetin I dey see online from AKS are impressive, Wetin my neighbor who happen to be an indigene of AKS and usually travel there at least 5 times yearly is telling me is the opposite. God abeg which kind wahala be dis?
Amazing Akwa Ibom nnyin Udom is working, And Akwa Ibom is Rising!
Ilaumoh: AKS AUTOMOBILE FACTORY COMMENCES RECRUITMENT OF 20 INDIGENOUS STAFF FOR TRAININGS IN ISRAELI
The process has commenced for the emergence of twenty indigenous automobile engineers who would be trained in Israel to constitute the first batch of staff members employed in the MIMSHAC car assembly plant located in Itu local government area of the state.
MIMSHAC, an automobile company partnering with the State for the Car Factory, is currently conducting practical interviews for qualified automobile engineers who would be further equipped with the necessary skills required for car assemblage in the plant.
This practical interview comes after the engineers were properly put through the theoretical aspect of the assessment process.
The Chief Executive Officer of MIMSHACK, Mr. Valentino Nnaemeka Okorie stated that the practical interview was conducted to select qualified automobile engineers for the training that would take place in Israel.
He lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for facilitating the seamless establishment of the first automobile assembling plant in the Niger Delta region of Africa.
Mr. Okorie said that the company will establish the first fully-automated oil filtering manufacturing factory in Africa in addition to the car assembling plant which according to him, will employ over three thousand Akwa Ibom indigenes.
MIMSHAC's Israeli partner, Mr Ronen Golan, appreciated Governor Udom Emmanuel for affording them the opportunity to invest in Akwa Ibom which he is particularly proud of and assured the press that the assembling of automobiles will begin in earnest at the plant in November 2022.
Mr Okorie said that MIMSHAC constructed the plant in partnership with the Isreali to ensure they transfer their technology to the qualified engineers who will work at the plant.
He assured the engineers that MIMSHAC intends to source for consumables and furniture locally from small and medium-scale businesses.
The automobile engineers who hail from Akwa Ibom, expressed satisfaction at the professionalism of the practical interview process and thanked Governor Emmanuel for establishing the car assembling plant which will provide employment opportunities for them.
Ologbo147: Uyo is beautiful no doubt, but she lacks economic value, the people do not have purchasing power, na keke full am. Benin is not Uyo's mate economically, Uyo should be mate with Auchi or sapele economically
As a neutral person, there's no difference between Obi supporters and Tinubu supporters here on NL.
They both exchange insults and abuses everytime here.
MosieurX: Lol... If this was in the South West, they would have jumped to Twitter to insult even those of us who admire Obi, just because we're Yoruba.
Obi isn't the problem, it's his supporters. A set of unruly and gullible people. A good leader can also be stained by bad followers.
The present day Uyo Capital City includes parts of Nsit Ibom LGA(some parts of Aka Etinan road, and Olusegun Obasanjo way, parts of Ibesikpo Asutan(some parts of Aka Etinan road, Goodluck Jonathan Boulevard, etc.), some parts of Uruan LGA(parts of Nwaniba and airport roads, and Itu LGA( some parts of Calabar-Itu highway,Uyo-Ikot Ekpene express way, Idoro road, Atiku Abubakar way, etc. Plus Uyo LGA.
So Uyo Capital City is Uyo LGA plus some parts of the surrounding 4 LGAs.
Uyo capital city is bigger than Uyo LGA and the Capital City has today expanded into Ibiono Ibom and Etinan LGAs.
There is no where I stated that Benin Is one LGA, but I single out Benin city as State Capital of Edo State. Please take time &read this:
I don't mean all LGAs occupied by Binis as a tribe alright &you are twisting it the more, I mean the Capital city of Edo State. i mean where The seat of power of Edo State Government, House of Assembly & State Secretariat is situated. or is all the 5LGAs is used as Capital of Edo State?
The 5LGAs you're trying to say is former Old Benin that was split during LG creation for easy Administration to further take government presence closer to the people in the grassroots.
For instance my State Capital is Uyo, 3other LGAs was carved out of it, as former Uyo was too big, reasons is, so that development can spread&Government presence can be felt, that's the essence of LG creation. Meaning Uyo+3other LGAs making it four(4), Uyo the State Capital is gradually expanding to the other 3LGAs & it's a Federal Constituency on its own, meaning its represented by one Federal Lawmaker in the Green Chamber (FHoR), NASS Abuja. &the 4 LGAs is represented by each member in the State House of Assembly.
so all State capitals are part of the total LGAs in the State, but it is singled out to be the State capital for obvious reasons, even ASO Rock where our President resides &the three arm zones are in Asokoro District in Abuja Municipal Council (an LGA in Abuja) that make up the total 774LGAs in the country.
I understand deepsight's argument, but i took my time to explain to his understanding but he seems not to understand better.
There you go again. Do you understand the meaning of the word Zero
The truth is that there's no state capital in Nigeria with Zero economic activities.
Or it's either you don't know the meaning of the word Zero or the meaning of the phrase economic activities.
So calm your nerves and stop over exaggerating.
Even villages have economic activities, as far human beings exist in a place and there's buying and selling, so when you want to lie, learn to be consummate in your lies so that those who'll ignorantly like your comment can like it better.
Today Akwa Ibom State IGR is over N32 billon, growing from N15 billion in 2015.
Today Akwa Ibom State GDP has grown from $11 billion dollars in 2015 to about $13.7 billion, surpassing that of Edo and Kano states to occupy no. 6 from no. 8 on the table in 2015, etc.
And the major chunk of these comes from Uyo.
And you come here to make your false claims.
Uyo is better than your state capital so stop spewing trashes all over this trade.
Or I dare you to mention your State IGR and GDP let see the level of economic activities going on in your state capital.
[aquote author=Wilson500 post=116737101]
Stop deceiving yourself and others I have stayed in Uyo before The city is peaceful, has good roads, no traffic issue with friendly and lovable indigenes but with zero economic activities zero human capital development Everybody there want to join politics or follow politicians in order to survive because the city lacks industries The city is not good for doing business Its meant for people who have made money and want to relax or for retirees...shikena Am not saying this out of bitterness or hatred Am just stating what is obtainable there[/quote]
You are talking out of bitterness and sheer ignorance. What do you know about Uyo Uyo has everything and the modern infrastructure of a modern city in Nigeria. if you say that Uyo has only good roads, then you must be spewing trash out of ill-will or hate. For your info, Uyo is one of the few most visited state capitals in Nigeria today.
Wilson500: I wonder why a sane person will mention Uyo as one of the best capitals in Nigeria Apart from good roads, what do they have Nobody should mention Owerri again because it should be tagged the hotel capital of Nigeria Mad People Everywhere
I would say it's Uyo any time any day; because there is a good road network, the city is clean and green, stable electricity to some extent ins some parts of the Uyo Metropolis, low crime rate, a vibrant night-life, a large tech community and ecosystem, and a clean, calm, serene, and green public parks for leisure, relaxation, and picnics, modern markets, shopping malls, modern hotels, resorts, modern health facilities, guest houses, bars, lounges, sit-out spots, restaurants, modern and well planned residential districts and areas, good schools, good cuisine, highly educated, very beautiful, hospitable, and friendly locals, etc.
Others in no particular order are Ikeja, Calabar, Kano, Enugu, and PH.
One of the many green areas and public parks in Uyo:
Everyone has their own race to run, everyone has their own battles to fight, everyone has their own troubles to face, everyone has their specs in a relationship, and everyone has their own life to live.
I may not be like the Wode Mayas, but if I have money to spend on my wedding day, I'll definitely do that, cos I'm unique and my marriage will be just once in a lifetime.

We shall never forget this... And posterity shall never forgive this consummate and pathological liar for plunging this country into this mess through the one he sponsored in 2015.
PresidObi: We shall never forget this failed promise and the harbinger of bad news
This man's role models are failed leaders. imagine the names on his list, this country is in for serious trouble if these guys are allowed to take over by 2023.
imagine mentioning the infamous Abacha, whose unending loots are still being recovered to this day. imagine mentioning Buhari, whose government has destroyed our economy, insecurity overwhelms the country under his watch, and hardship, hunger, and difficulties are killing Nigerians. Health and Education sectors are in a state of comatose, etc.
imagine! See what bad leadership has done to people and their hard-earn monies. How you a man take his hard-earned money to the bank voluntarily, but when it was time to get back his money he was denied and he has to use force.
