For example most compilers(higher level languages) would try to prevent you from buffer overruns,  using memory outside your segment

hmmm, ok oh
personally i think c and c++ are better choices

Lemme ask you a quick question. Have you ever thought of making a virus? Did you ever think of Java in that respect? No! Your best approach is Assembly.

cheesy cheesy grin grin
LOL
your funny, Assembly is a good approach, but not the only approach, assmbly the best approach? dude virus writing has nothing to do with programming the garden of eden, using your hands to drive in nails, does not make your hands better than a hammer,
NOTE: a programming language is only as good as the programmer

*laughing* at some guys here (humorously). I'm on a queue waiting to defend my VHDL code. I'll "spit" my mind about the assambly stuff when I get on desktop. If you say assembly is complecated, what will you say about VHDL (an hardware description language)?

its understandable if someone is a die-hard java,c# or python fan , but VDHL/ASM, tell me you program dinosaurs shocked shocked shocked

it was not directed towards you. but if you feel you are the chief m.o.r.o.n here, then be my guest, provide an answer to the question i asked,
tell me something, do you feel you are good in programming or the one with the best answer because your name is csharpjava or is it because you are capable of writing paragraphs of crap,

actually, i am wondering why more m.o.r.o.n.s exist in the programming section than any other section

@Fayimora, u never seize to amuse me grin grin

@Poster, stop all this pointless language comparism and settle for the one your brain can carry, the only question i can ask you is .WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH THE LANGUAGE?
If python works, then go with it, if its java go ahead, get books and start reading, spend more time asking for solutions to programming problems than language comparism, cos it will take you no where ?

Dont waste your money brother. Just buy a laptop, a modem, pay for 24 hours internet.

hmmm
am tempted to agree with him, but its not that simple, if you are searching for a school that will make you the best programmer then you might not get it anywhere in the world, because it requires dedication and hardwork in other words, the best programmers are self taught.
scrap karrox and niit out based on experince, hopefully someone with better knowledge of the other schools will help you out,
if you are having problems picking a programming language there are lots of topic already dedicated to that so you can just go through them

Maybe I should tell first step of reverse any software (mainly dotNet) is easy to do.

i would like to know the target language of your dotNet reverse engineering tools, is it going to be the  Common Intermediate Language (CIL, pronounced either "sil" or "kil"wink (formerly called Microsoft Intermediate Language or MSIL) which is the lowest-level human-readable programming language defined by the Common Language Infrastructure specification and used by the .NET Framework and Mono.
