Get a school of ur choice here and send them an email requesting for admission procedures.They will guide u thru.

Me: I applied to 2 Schools. Colorado State University and the URI, well the Colorado State University advised that they do not have the required faculty to supervise me, and they are still looking for a suitable match for my Research proposal. But I got accepted to URI.

Me: Well I will be Specializing in Safety Health and Environmental Issues on Oil and Gas Offshore and Onshore Facilites, ( I stopped talking)
Consular: Do U have a Masters Degree?
Me: Yes I do. An MSc Petroleum Technology from the UK.
Consular: When did you graduate?
Me: Oct 2008
Consular: Whats your present job?
Me: Am a Process Engineer
Consular: So who is Sponsoring you?
Me: My Father, (She asked what he does and alll that, ) I told Him he is a University Professor,
Consular: Are you the only Child? Any Siblings? Because the Tutiton Fee on your I-20 is too much, Do u think your father can Support you all through?
Me: I answered YES HE CAN !
Consular: Are you Sure?
Me: YES I am sure
Consular: Can I see his statement?
Me: I gave her , ( Now She flipped through in about 15 seconds and she gave it back to me)
Consular: Started Typing for about 50 seconds after which she gave me the green ticket to go pick up my Visa. and she said GOODLUCK on your Studies.

Guys, getting to the US may be as easy as having enough information to deliver at the embassy, However, what is most important is to know what you are going there to do.
If it is study, consider the finance and adaptability to the US system of education (assignment almost everyday), are u ready to pay like $10K every semester? do u know how much the conversion is in Nigeria, N1.53M, thats a lot of money, and u have to be paying this same amount or more every semester if u dont want to fall out of status.
Marrying a white gurl, forget, these people are not mumu as we dey see them for internet or Hollywood, they are sharp ooo, infact they used to think you are a millionaire in your country paying a huge sum as an int student.
However, coming here is good, but you gat to prepare, real preparation, nothing here is for free oooo, feeding, housing,transportation(no taxi, no okada), relative can/will shun you sometimes, u really have to calculate very well. Its not easy at all, even if you are on scholarship, you gat to have a consistent GPA to maintain it, meanwhile getting an A here starts from 90-100, it is possible anyway if you are focused, not womanizing, clubbing or watever.
America is a land for whoever wants to dwell there, as long as you can adjust and remain legal, u r good to go. Dont ever think anybody can help you here, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Plan well, pray seriously (most importantly for a smooth ride in the US) prepare well and be positive. Have a meeting with your sponsor before leaving Naija, let him/her know what he/she is into, cos it may not be the way you thought it will be, and it might be, just be positive. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

I just arrived yesterday here in Dallas,wow what a beautiful place to be.I was not really treated to undergo any screening as I hped for before.I didnt last for 10mins,cos they have to work on my I-20 and the I-94 form,my luggage wasnt even checked,they just aksed me if I have any food a inside.I said no.There was no body checked,pull shoe check.I was totally checked in MMIA and frankfurt. Germany was so intensed
