Pardon me for all the errors that this post will be filled with, I'm typing this in anger and I won't prove read. Thanks for understanding.

I'm a 2017 batch B stream one corps member of Ado-Odo Ota L.G.A ogun state, due for P.O.P by October. So when they started the increment of allowance brouhaha, I was indifferent, not happy not sad. I paid it no mind at all, just wanna be done with the BS and leave. But they should just make sure they're not owing me.

Well fast forward to last week, they sent the circular that clearance for this month would be held today 3rd of September, well I felt it was cool since it meant they would pay my 19,800 before then so I would at least be mobile. Well up till this morning, they have not paid.

That's not even the issue, I found a way to borrow some money, and found my way to the Local Government secretariat. On getting here, despite not paying us yet, they have the audacity to tell us that if you don't have the 1,200 naira annual magazine fee, no clearance for you!

SERIOUSLY

Well corpers with back up have been paying, some have been making frantic efforts to borrow. But I'm just here thinking, do they expect me to borrow again after already borrowing to get to the secretariat?

If this isn't the height of insensitivity being displayed by this lot, then what is.

And why is it a must to pay for a magazine I don't want to have?

Why won't they just scrap this BS since it's no longer serving it's purpose (I'm a Yoruba man serving in Yoruba land)

Politics / Sowore Wasn't Part Of Pact by neutrotoba(m): 10:14am On Aug 31, 2018
I just want to use this opportunity to address the rumour going about that Sowore rejected the result that produced a certain aspirant as the consensus candidate of PACT (presidential aspirants coming together)

It's not in his place to reject the result of a process he wasn't part of in the first place.

Omoyele Sowore pulled out of the PACT 3 weeks ago. After citing the lack of 'transparency and fairness' in the proposed process of selecting a candidate.

A statement released yesterday by the #TakeItBack movement reads:

Earlier today, the Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) selected a Consensus Candidate from amongst the aspirants who participated in the straw poll. The TakeItBack Movement and our convener, Omoyele Sowore, were not part of this action.

Our position at the TakeItBack Movement has always been that a United Front of progressive forces is essential for wresting power from the status quo politicians. *We believe that our voices are stronger together*. As we've stated previously, the successful cooperative struggle which several youth presidential aspirants participated in, to extend the voter registration exercise, clearly demonstrates the power of a United Front.

However, we have also been very clear in our position, that the choice of who becomes the leader of almost 200 million Nigerians should not be determined by only about a dozen people, in a nation of 180 million persons. *As democrats and progressives, we believe that leaders should emerge, only through a transparent process that allows the millions of Nigerians that are yearning for national development and transformative leadership, to have their say in electing their own representatives*, in free and fair party primaries and eventually at the national polls in February 2019.

Our unwavering commitment is to a fair and transparent democratic process that includes party primaries and coalition building. As all the political parties stage their legislative, gubernatorial and presidential primaries between now and October 7th, 2018, we enjoin all Nigerians who desire national transformation to participate actively in the political process by joining political parties or competing for elective positions. For those seeking a political platform that stands solidly with the Nigerian people and is not aligned with either of the twin evils - the APC and PDP - that have ravaged Nigeria for decades, we invite you to join us in the African Action Congress.

The democratic process is about more than just the presidency; it is our aim to fill elected offices across Nigeria, from councillorship to the Presidency, with young men and women who are tired of the status quo and are truly primed to reclaim Nigeria.

We have heavily subsidised our nomination form fees to give brilliant and progressive minds across the country a chance to make their mark on Nigeria. Our complete fee exemptions for the disabled, youth corpers, honourably discharged defence personnel and serving or retired teachers, nurses and emergency service workers, prove that we are committed to building a greater Nigeria.

The TakeItBack Movement and the African Action Congress party are committed to creating a Nigeria that works for all, not a select few. We thank all the millions of Nigerians that have supported our campaign for transformation thus far. The road ahead of us remains a long and arduous one. With your continuing support, we will remain steadfast in demanding a fair and equitable nation, that works for all Nigerians.

Onward together! Let’s TakeItBack with action and determination!!

He made a valid point.... we obviously cant pirate pirated..
Export it to the world from Nigeria... its a world cup, their is a ready market, the more your players advance, the more your internally produced jerseys are going beyond even if they are not the tagged "Nigerian original".

Its gives the local brands an international name..
It gives your local online market proceeds..
Nigeria has the population for internal purchase as well as affordable and availble..
The international markets are regulated and can stick to a sole distributor agreement..

Ben is obviously too advanced for Nigerian mentality..

The only reason 3million people bought the jersey is because of Nike's exquisite design.

DavidEsq:

Is dat the contextual meaning of that scripture? Was it tithe or tax that was in issue? Did Jesus say the things we shld give to God is tithe in dat scripture or any oda scripture?

Jesus didn't state it, but it had been stated in Malachi 3:10. No verse of the bible exists in isolation, they're all interwoven.

Tithe belongs to God brother

In Malachi 3:10, it wasn't just anybody speaking, it was God himself! Which higher authority is there?
Religion / Re: Even If My Pastor Gambles With My Tithe, I Will Continue To Pay. by neutrotoba(m): 3:12pm On Feb 11, 2018

False

But it happens right? My point is not that some pastors don't enrich themselves with tithe... No! Some do, and that's between them and their creator, cuz all men will be judged according to the works of their hands.

But the main purpose for tithing according to Malachi 3:10 is "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house"

That food is for those that cannot afford to feed themselves, the church ideally should cater for then with tithe. Now if you pay tithe as God has commanded, you have fulfilled your part of the bargain. For the pastor that doesn't use the tithe for the intended purpose and allow people to go to bed on empty stomach, He's also human and will be judged by God.

Hope your Sunday has been wonderful

Lies. Tithe has always been to enrich clergymen: from Levites to pastors

Taxes have always been to enrich politicians then right?
Religion / Re: Even If My Pastor Gambles With My Tithe, I Will Continue To Pay. by neutrotoba(m): 2:58pm On Feb 11, 2018
DavidEsq:

Sori to burst ur bubble. That scripture u just cited deals with payment of taxes. An act of respect to the governmental authority. Paul, in his message to the Roman Christians implored them to respect the authority. See Romans 13:1-7. The situation that led to the scriptures u cited was that the Pharisees challenged Jesus Christ as to weda it was proper to pay taxes.
If 2 Timothy 3:16 is the basis for our reliance of the scriptures for our daily life, then that scripture u cited wld not apply to the issue afoot. Rather, it wld be a wrong application and I think a "deliberate misuse" is the proper description of ur use of that scripture.
This is the reason Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:7 "always learning, but never able to come to an accurate Knowledge of truth".

You bursted no bubble.

Give unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar (taxes)
Give unto God what belongs to God (tithe)

Why are you ignoring the other part?
Religion / Re: Even If My Pastor Gambles With My Tithe, I Will Continue To Pay. by neutrotoba(m): 11:44am On Feb 11, 2018
superhumanist:

Nonsense. I pay tax because it is the law and then in normal circumstances those taxes are meant to be used to provide healthcare, subsidized housing and welfare services.

Your tithe offers nothing other than to enrich criminally inclined pastors

The intended purpose of tithe is not to enrich pastors... In fact its purpose is to be used by the church for all that which the government would do with taxes. But the human factor that affects tithes also affects taxes. Politicians enrich themselves with our commonwealth but we have few who use it correctly, same with the church.

But as paying taxes is your responsibility, so is Tithe.

Happy sunday

You pay taxes to the government and they embezzle it. But you don't stop paying cuz of that. Why? because paying taxes is your responsibility not choice. In God's government, it is also your responsibility to pay tithe
