I said this long time ago when we were at N900 to a dollar and many came up saying Binance has nothing to do with the uptrend of dollar against Naira.
The current situation of Naira isn't driven by economic conditions, it's purely speculation and manipulation by some unscrupulous people.
Same happened to Russia ruble! Vladimir/Russian government gave Binance very high conditions that forced them out of Russia.
Go check ruble now...
Do you know the current economic condition Nigeria is currently in?

Our problems does not stem from tribalism rather lack of well informed citizens. It why we keep electing bad leaders even though we genuinely want to make the right choice but surprisingly, we end up making exactly the ones we are trying to avoid all the time. Mis-information and Mis-orientation.

Nigeria is completely broke. By 2025, we will be borrowing money just to payback borrowed money.

Buy XRP ripple. Utility use cases and adaptations too plenty. They recently had a partnership with Moneygram. Currently under $1. It will certainly shoot to the moon at least $3 post halving in the bull run.

If U Invest $3000 in spot now, you will get back minimum of $9000 within a year Nd possibly beyond. Sure banker.
Jan 11th 2024 XRP ripple =$0.6usdt

There is no sideline. While you are running out, someone else is running in.

In the stock market, the key is not to be completely in and at the same time not to be completely out.

I will say it again and again, the way the naira is falling is not natural… bad government and all, but we have few entities who are running our currencies down. We are gonna suffer it.

Who else has noticed that naira/usdt rate’s usually stabilize over the weekend (Friday- Saturday and sometimes Sunday)and start experiencing increased volatility from Mondays?
This gives me a hard laugh. The Naira Decline seems very scary and unreal to you. You are having a hard time trying to take it in.

Most people read about all we are currently witnessing in a book, they really have never experienced it in real time such as hyperinflation, devaluation etc

Your government decided to completely floats something entirely worthless (depegged from the Dollar). Even China with all it great economy that could easily back it currency, dare not dreamed of committing such madness.

I laughed because The decline is yet to start and you are already shaken off.

I don't know why people are taking this whole dollar to Naira thing too personal.

I believe most people just read about devaluation but have never experienced it, now that they are experiencing a huge one they don't know how to properly deal with it.

It has been said countless time on this very thread; You don't protect against devaluation of a currency by investing in assets denominated in that currency rather you hedge your losses by investing in other currencies.

I just need your opinion on few things regarding presco, I did some TA which I will like you to see, thanks for your encouragement.

Thanks.
The more the dollar appreciate massively the more the need for Recapitalization in the Banking sector, as at this phase this can no longer be avoided. This means there will be more merging and folding up taking place soon.

On the other hand, some banks are set to enjoy some massive profits from this recent dollar rise. Though, this depends on the action of the federal government.

LOL. To get to 8 million naira per month, it is very achievable if there is a good plan and a fair amount of luck. 8 million naira per month is 96 million naira per year. The dude claimed that a 25-year bond is giving him that 96 million naira per annum, assuming a 14% yield. This means that he has a principal of 685 million naira.

From 2020 to the present, 2023, a very astute investor would have multiplied his money by 14 times just by following tips from the top-rated gurus on this forum. Let's assume that he has been investing for years prior to 2020 and had built up about 50 million naira.

In 2020, OGG, CP, and many others pointed out UCAP, which was trading below 3 naira. If he had invested his entire 50 million naira in UCAP, he would have multiplied his money by 4. I know this because my UCAP is almost 5 times what I invested. This would have brought his total to 200 million naira. There is enough liquidity in the market, so there would be no problem with this.

Early this year, CP, PA Emma, and many others pointed out the immense potential of Dangsugar when it was trading at 17 naira. After doing his due diligence, he would have invested his 200 million naira in Dangsugar, which is now 4 times its value. His money should now be 200 million naira x 4 = 800 million naira. If we take into account the fact that he may have entered the market a little late, 685 million naira is still a feasible amount.

You may argue that this is a very remote case, but he could be the one in a million who did just that. LOL

The white brain washed us, putting us in a state, where; we cannot use our own mind rather we rely on someone else mind or an unimaginable mind out there to come and save us.

The more religious a certain place is; the more the level of illiteracy, birth rate and poverty within that place. The less religious a certain place is; the less the level of illiteracy, birth rate and poverty. This as always been the trend.

One wonders, who does more harm to the naira..
1. A sitting president who travels to the UK for medical treatment or
2. An average earning banker who sells his property to seek greener pastures abroad?
Sometimes I am just baffled how people who have a total net worth of over 50 million Naira find it hard to live on it. Give such money to someone who probably earn 30 thousand a month and he or she will believe they will definitely not work again; come back years later and you will find them chasing more. Humans wants are just insatiable.

People really need to learn how to adjust their lifestyle to their income. Chasing more income, more yields has always been the root cause of financial catastrophes and most needless sufferings out there.

Do you hear what is currently about to happen in Argentina? That will be the fate of all the nations in the world very soon, one by one.
It either we are in with the Brics, Euro or the Dollar. Note, this three currencies (one is yet to be) are controlled by the same system (Look Deeper)

We are entering a phase where probably only 3 or 4 currencies will be available for trade settlement be it locally or internationally. For this to happen effectively every other currency has to die, a very rapid death and people eagerly dumping their country's currency and jumping into any of the mentioned currencies.

The road to this; is part of what you are witnessing in Argentina and what is hitting every other nations in the world. We are perfectly on the route to a totalitarian society.

Even relationship with God you must drop offerings and sacrifices.

So now tell me why can't you spend money and sacrifice things for your girlfriend

I told a stingy man that I urgently need 60k to sought out some things, one need to see his reaction, he began to show me records of how some costumer bought goods and are yet to balance up. Telling me different stories just because of common 60k undecided, He said he can only send me 25k, I just told him I'm not suffering that he should keep his dirty 25k to himself.

I don't know why you men will just tight your hands kakaraka!! Na wa oo!! So disgusting undecided. It's better to say you don't have then telling me nonsense stories!

You men want true love but you don't want to spend money. Shior!!!
You write well. Hard to come by good writings on Nairaland. The only sad thing is, most of your write ups are lamentations.

Investing in solid companies, keeping track of their performance over time, and rebalancing your portfolio is just as good as investing in foreign markets. This is because, even if it is a slow process, good companies must revalue the cost of the products they provide to their consumers, which will result in better profits. In short, sooner or later, every good stock you see on the NGX will move up to adjust to inflation and exchange rate. This is inevitable.

If you have 200, invest it in a good stock instead of bonds or treasury bills to fight inflation. If you are a good trader, you can do even better.
At the bolded…The Environment is very bad. Raising cost cannot save this companies, maybe; in the short run. There is a limit on the amount of cost a company can pass on to the people before it start to crumble no matter how great they are. Well, I do hope people make educated choice.

For someone claiming that he/she doesn't spend USD or GBP in Nigeria shouldn't forget that the purchasing power of N1m 5 years ago is not the same now. Take for instance the price of condom which has almost tripled in Nigeria from 5 years ago till now.
Five Years Ago A Loaf Of Bread Was Selling For #50. You Were Given #200 To Purchase 4 Loaf Of Breads To Eat, You Decided To Put The Money Into An Investment Account Yielding 20% Per Annual. After 5 Years Of Compounding, Your #200 Is Now Worth #498 Before You Congratulate Yourself On A Job Well-done. A Loaf Of Bread Is Now Selling For #200, Your #498 Will Buy You Just 2 Loaf of Breads. Yes! You made great return on your investment, you might feel richer but you won't eat richer.

Investing should not be focused on making money but beating or keeping up with inflation or devaluation through any means necessary. I can't help but notice Most people focus on the former. As long they are making money they doing a great job. That is a wrong way of seeing investing.

All who died in Christ Jesus will be given new bodies(glorious bodies) when the trumpet sounds. Those that are alive when Jesus comes will be changed(their bodies will be transformed into glorious bodies.)
Many people who are saying death is the end of are not being sincere with themselves.
What happens when you dream is quite similar to what happen when people die.
In the dream, your spirit man(your real self) leaves your body and sometimes, even travels to far places. There are people whose spirits suffered fatal attacks in the dream(like being shot with a spiritual gun) and never woke up from the dream.
I remember some years ago when I came under attack from three masquerades in the dream because I took someone who was under very vicious spiritual attack, to church for deliverance prayers.
Three very scary masquerades in black with huge sticks(or rods) closed in on me from three directions and were about to hit me on the head when I shouted Jesus.
At the shout of Jesus, they were scattered. My wife who was sleeping beside me was startled by my shout of Jesus from the dream. It was so real. If not for Jesus, I'm 100% sure I wouldn't have woken up from my sleep that night.
Lol...So when everyone goes to heaven; what will become of this beautiful earth that God as built solely for the human race? A earth where every single creature on it are linked with one another. Do you know that the sea, micro-organisms, plants cannot survive without the human race and vice-versa?

The Brain is a powerful thing. When you think of something for long enough, even if it is meaningless, stupid, silly, think of it long enough, especially right from your birth and it becomes true in our own very mind. You begin to see things everywhere that correlates with what you want to believe, hence; strengthening your belief.

This phenomenon is the sole reason why a sane, healthy human can burn another person alive for insulting his or her God without feeling any single remorse and yet same person will reject and run away from the thought of burning certain animal saying it against the holiest of holy.

BrainWashing is a powerful thing, it is so hard to conquer. It is the greatest prison humanity invented. It is a prison one cannot see, smell, touch and yet one is there.

Politics determines the economy direction and not he other way around. Even the foreign investors make their decisions based on political situations...There is political tension building up in the country and we want to pretend it doesn't concern the market or we shouldn't talk about it. At this time T, the political situation should be of concern to every concerned investor and the talk here should be on how to position ourselves and not about insisting such talks should be directed elsewhere.

Government policy, Natural Disaster, War Any of this can push the market up or down, trying to figure out if there will be War, what the government is going to do, what interest rate is going to be tomorrow is an absolutely waste of time. This factors are unpredictable.

What a rational investors should be concerned all about is what the companies he or she are putting their hard earned money into are doing.

Is the company debt getting bigger than it could sustain? Or Are they paying off their Debt? Are they cutting down cost and increasing profitability? Are they expanding into a new region or Are they creating new products? This questions are all that really matters.

A good company will always strive getting better and bigger irrespective of what the economy is doing. It just like humans, if you are the Best in your line of work, money will always flow to you no matter what the economy is saying.

So please let us all focus on what we can read and control. Once we know the ones that are good from bad, bad times are blessing in disguise to amass the good ones. As essentialone have said...quote

An analysis of Buhari's regime as well as a comparison between Buhari and Jonathan regime is a completely subjective and personal matter. At the national level, you may have a fair analysis based on logistics and statistics. But hell no. You can't do so on person to person basis. Some persons became far richer, and achieved far more assets and wealth during Buhari regime than they did during Jonathan regime.

So, I still maintain that whoever wins, nothing much will change. Focus on your pocket and forget politicians. If Nigeria tire you, try and relocate abroad.

If Tinubu wins, a lot of Yorubas will still remain poverty stricken.
If Peter Obi wins, a lot of Igbos will still remain poverty stricken.
If Atiku Abubakar wins, well no need to waste time mentioning how a lot of Hausa-Fulanis will still remain poverty stricken. Buhari is a loud testimony of that already.

My people, focus on your pocket, your bank account, and your assets portfolio. Forget these politicians.

DJ, please don't delay.
I do hope we all take your last line seriously. That is the most tremendously important thing!!!

Cash flow is the Koko, while waiting for 10 years for the land to appreciate you need money to harness other opportunities and create more wealth.

The man who bought my late grandma's property I sold few weeks ago for N70 million, made his money from the stock market and profit from his business.

He actually made a 4 bagger from Guinness within 5 years ie bought at N15 and sold at over N60. Planning to build a warehouse on the land with the plan to recover his capital in less than 10 years.
Within every asset class, there are good assets and there are bad assets. With certainty; Good assets are always liquid.

When people dream of making fast, huge return by investing in land, all that they imagine is buying land in one hole in some part of Nigeria, probably buying land in a place where no one as ever heard of before, buying this lands for peanuts and hoping some day development will come there and their investment will yield great fortunes. A naive way of losing money, they tie their money down to hope and this is where liquidity comes in. No one would like to pay a premium or even less to acquire trash.

Land is a great investment. If not the best, it one of the best. I once witnessed an event back when I was in Akure, this was around 2009, a land that was purchased in 1970s for less than 5,000 Naira was sold for 10 million Naira in 2009. Just a bit like your story, this people inherited the land from their Dad. The shocking part, the man who brought this land sold a large portion of the land, not all; for 80 million Naira in 2017. The real owner's children are all still regretting their decision for selling the land till this very Day.

When a land is located in a developed environment, where things are bubbling. You will be surprised how much some people are willing to put up to acquire such lands. The numbers can be Crazy!
