You are asking intelligent question as though you are talking to someone resonable .  It's newmi that knows how to handle his dog. cool pls
As much as l would be tempted to consider that as a complement, l wouldn't think l savour the idea of refering to someone as being "my dog" Yes l know this kid could be or act silly, obnoxious, unbearable and odiously repugnant but the "dog" thing doesnt work for me Perhaps you might want to paraphraseng doesnt work for me Perhaps you might want to paraphrase

Mr Newmi,

Not many "Non-Christians" believe in the Bible, so dont you think it is "Folly" to use that same bible to support your argument?   undecided
Well Said my dear friend, but consider this l don't have to be a non Christian to believe in Gravity. There are several reference documents and factual sources to support my arguement but for me the bible is the closest, most reliable and trusted afterall in it is codified the exclusive solution for the matter in question.
Christianity EtcRe: A Big Disgrace To Religious Nigerians by newmi(m): 7:20pm On Aug 08, 2011
@Allohrandy
Well you don't have to believe that "witchcraft" does exist afterall gravity doesnt solicit for our recognition to justify its existence.

@ nuclearboy
it is not a mark of humility to say that non is wise no like the other contributor said Solomon was called wise because God made him wise. Then for us in the new dispensation the says that Christ is our wisdom
1 Corinthians 1:30-31
"But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord"
wouldn't it be wise to call youeself the name that God has called you?

@ Frosbel
Perhaps you would rather be comfortable and attracted to the "poverty gospel"

@ Enigma
hmmmmm maybe you are right l think the "poverty gospel" is of God SE BI? HMMMMM

l would for starters, wish to pay my respect to this topic by limiting my first contributions to the concerns of the topic in question because l must confess l have mouth watering attractions to several comments already submitted especially from some familiar quarters.
As much as it would be folly and self deceiption for anyone Christians and Non-Christians alike to think that such elements as satan, demons, evil spirits, witchcraft etc do not exist because the bible shows us that they do.
2 Corinthians 2:11
"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices" it takes some1 who exist to have "devices". The thought of certain people purnishing children and abusing them in the disguise of fighting witchcraft is preposterous, ludicrous, nonsensical and unbiblical because how can one address a matter thats spiritual with with physical advances it is ignorantly idiotic.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
"( For the weapons of our warfare[ are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holdswink
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"
The Church of God with the gospel of Jesus Christ is the solution and help that such children need becos it is a fact that many of such children and adult alike are desperately looking for a way out.

Isaiah 49:24-25
24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Christianity EtcRe: Curiosity: Did God Create The Universe - Stephen Hawkin by newmi(m): 1:53pm On Aug 08, 2011
The bible clearly tells us how and who created the universe (cosmos)
Genesis 1:1
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth"

John 1:1-3
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made"

Hebrews 11:3
"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear"
Christianity EtcRe: The Possibility Of The Presence Of Witchcraft In The Church: by newmi(m): 1:21pm On Aug 08, 2011
The issue of witchcraft in the church cannot be ignored or discredited because we are brought to this awareness of the possibility of the gathering of the saints being infiltrated by certain elements impersonating as "Angels of Light" but in actual fact are servants of Satan.

Job 1:6
"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them"

Isn't it amazing that the bible says that Satan came in amongst them. In verse 7 Satan replying God made clear his mode of operation ". . . moving to and fro in the earth. . ." doing what?
". . . looking whom he may devour. . ."

You see the bible calls the devil an adversary of the church and it is important that we live our lives as Christians with the consciousness and awareness that we have an adversary of whom the bible in fact calls an "arch enemy". Consequently, Jesus made a profound admonition in Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak"

I don't know whether they fry you people's brains in cec when you go an fry your hair. Why can't God command the woman directly huh Is it becos you have been brain washed to believe God only communicates with people through MOGs? God could have commanded the woman through he dream. There is no indication in the bible that God did not communicate with her directly so stop trying to force your daft opinion into scriptures.
haha funny huon! you can call me whatever you may wish but perhaps this will interest you; l have gone past being offended and be that as it may though just for the records, l would be nuts and stupid to say or even suggest in the slightest or reason that God can't or couldn't have directly command the woman, you may wish to review my comments again. Now what l said was that the context doesnt seem to suggest that she had had a direct command experience From God in the same manner that we observe Elijah the prophet did. GOD IS THE MASTER COMMUNICATOR I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND NOW. Please stop coming into threads with a fault seeking mind only to simply induce offence why not simply be a christian. Christianity EtcRe: Emotion Does Not Know Morality by newmi(op): 10:50pm On Jul 30, 2011
Emotion is a neutral force or energy always seeking expressive platforms but it can be tamed, only that sometimes most people allow themselves to be overcomed by it such that thereafter they are only left with loads and loads of regrets. ln fact for some category of people they are in actual reality in sometimes form of a bondage and have become "slave" to and of their Emotions

Mr. Aletheia l think you should rather soft peddle slightly becos it won't be wise if you get faster than your feet could actually bear, l don't know what you think but is this rally necessary? l mean the ". . .SHUT UP" thing, lf you wish to know anything l think you would kindly and open mindedly read through Jo's post Where He highted areas with semblance of an insult and Also l pointed out the statement you made about "Dakes" ok in your true christian heart do you mean to justify what you said about the Dakes as being "heresies"?
At least by observation l am aware that the duo of both Joagbaje and frosbel have a hard time agreeing on a number of issues but maturity as christian demands that its is done with and in the right attitude and with respect which they both have demonstrated so far. thank u

Nothing to say for yourself, I see! No bible verses forthcoming. None whatsoever. So you agree you lied when you made that statement. Now run along and go and hide as you usually do. . .only to surface on another thread.

Your mentor Joagbaje must show the vile words I used in my post and show me the bible verses that prove that Satan wast cast out of Heaven before Adam was made. Simple.
its not a fight and as a note of correction the expression "your mentor" is offensive, if you have specific question to ask Jo like just did, then l would kindly suggest you direct it to him or anybody else in question but kindly without insults to go with and so that we can have meaningful sessions of discuss. thank u

Please highlight and underline the vile words in my post for the whole world to see. You are running when no one is chasing you. Is it your guilty conscience at your love of lucre that makes you see vile words where they are none. I repeat:
I am not interested in your Dakes' heresies. Show proof from bible verses. Simple. That's all you need to do. Apparently you do not understand what the phrase "cast out of heaven" means. Simple analogy: When Adam was cast out of Eden, cast out of the presence of God, did he find his way back and here you are suggesting that another sinful creature cast out of heaven found his way back into the presence of God.
Moreover you plainly ignore this:
(Rev 12:10-11 [KJV])
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

From Job, Zechariah and Jude, we see Satan acting as the accuser in the presence of God: And here Revelation clearly shows him being cast out of Heaven so that he can no longer do that. But you say this happened before Adam.
Thus your vain imaginings would have him being cast out of heaven before Adam then going back to heaven to be cast out again. Whereas the Bible describes one incident of him being cast out following the ascension of the Risen Christ as Revelation Chapter 12 makes plain.

When it comes to choosing between the Bible and and false pastor Joagbaje's words: it is indeed a great joy to choose what the Bible says over the words of one who says Christians are not commanded to obey God.
to be frank l would kind suggest we maintain focus on the core concentrations of this thread rather than get personal over nothing. You can prove something is wrong by teaching what is right not by discrediting other people's understanding and infact going to the extent of black-branding the reknowned works of "Dakes". Where is the christinity in us if we resort to using insults to get our points across
Christianity EtcRe: Who Was Helping Who? by newmi(m): 7:44pm On Jul 30, 2011
KunleOshob:
Nobody is helping anybody in the above passage as they were both obeying God's commands. It was God that commanded the widow directly to give out of her little to Elijah.
How do you mean or do you mean to tell me that this expresión ". . .I have commanded a widow woman there TO SUSTAIN thee" doesnt communicate "help"? off course God gets the glory for being the undisputed "Mastermind" behind it but it didnt all happen in vacuum; God used a "human medium" (on both sides)

Also another thing that l tend to frawn at in your comments is the use seem to want to put all the responsibility on God, yes God did the "commanding" (becos the context shows us so ". . .I have commanded a widow woman there TO SUSTAIN thee"wink but theres no record or the slightest suggession to indicate that the woman in question "a direct" command from God like you tried to insinuate. My question to you now is: How did the widow get her "command" and from who?
Christianity EtcRe: Who Was Helping Who? by newmi(m): 7:14pm On Jul 30, 2011
Joagbaje:
He only give us opportunity to position ourselves for receiving.  Jesus threw more light on it here.

Luke 4:25-27
25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

Simple illustration of Jesus in summary :  Elisha helped Naaman ,Elijah helped the widow. Finish .
Gbam!
l couldn't agree any less.
