"Mama Obama don enter gbeghe?" I knew this woman had issues when she went around inviting foreign investors to the Nigerian Stock Exchange at a time when the market was already saturated. She was chanting all over the place that Nigeria had the most profitable stock market in the entire world. At that time, it was true, but you have to realise that Nigeria cannot be where Its economy is and have the best performing stock market in the world. The was some major artificial background work. So earlier this year, we had Nigeria as the wort hit stock exchange in the world. I didn't really have much problems with Mama Obama till she started her Obama for President campaign through which she forced executives of listed companies to contribute millions which she was going to ferry to the USA alli the name of Obama for President. I don't know why I have to always be the one to see things before anyone else. So you people do not know yet that OBJ is involved? When Akingbola ran to Otta Farm people would think he was mad. So you people will not see the signs that Obasanjo collected loans from these banks to pump into Transcorp? You people will soon see the picture clearly. You will soon understand the link between Erastus Akingbola, Enoch Adeboye and Olusegun Obasanjo. The connection between money, religion and politics will soon be clear to you all. |
So people, what are we doing? This thread is more than 2 years old. |
Nigerians rejected him, today he's taking his gospel to other nations of the world who are seeking salvation. It wasn't just the Nigerian government that dishonoured Ribadu, it is every single Nigerian that folded their arms and sealed their lips as the government was tormenting him. |
@Benjacky don't buy anything right now. DO NOT BUY RIGHT NOW! Even if you're Adam Smith, don't. @touchmeder thanks a lot. You know since the bankers have told us we know not what they learnt in Harvard, we've decided to use the analogy we learnt on the streets. So who being sacked now? Who's running away from the EFCC? Definitely not me. |
OBJ he tried sha. When we used to come on Nairaland and explain some of the things he was doing, shebi it was you people who wanted to kill us. So you had to go to a power substation in Abuja to see before you would believe. Well, blessed are those that did not see yet believed. Now, the fact that Obasanjo tried doesn't mean that he was a good president. He was just not as bad as all others we've see. Do you even know that it was Obasanjo who founded the NLC during his first military administration as an organization that would check government excesses. Obasanjo remains the least terrible of them all. But one thing I know for sure is that OBJ was a far better president that George Bush. I give him that. |
@Ibime Thank you jare. Nick Leeson. |
Aig Aig and Herbert Wigwe, two of the most abracadabra bankers in Nigeria. Well, they seem to have mastered the game right from their GTB days. |
@Ibime you have just mentioned two of the main things that are killing the banking sector and all their shares. Loans to buy shares and Speculators. @OMO IBO Please stop buying those shares. I bet you have not heard of the kid that lost a billion dollars. That young man collapsed one of the oldest and strongest financial institutions in the UK. Even Queen Elizabeth lost money when Barrings sent one young stock broker with the "special investment eye" to go to Asia and buy stocks. When the collapse of the Asian stock market started, this guy believed in the rise of the market so much that he continued asking for more money from the parent company in England and kept on buying. When other investors were crying, he was eagerly buying off their shares knowing fully well that the economy of Asia was a rising one that would continue to rise. To an extent, he was right in the long run, but in the short run, he was very wrong. He made useless more than 700 million pounds. The mistake he made was underestimating the power of the media to cause panic among investors thereby bringing total collapse to companies that would have otherwise weathered the storm. So my friend, take it easy with you buy, buy. You're not the first optimist. |
@hollandis wherever there has been plant and animal lifeform for millions of years, you definitely will find crude oil there. To doubt that there are massive deposits of crude oil in the Chad Basin is unscientific. Lake Chad which you see today is the shrunken remainder of what used to be Lake Sahara that covered the whole area which is today known as the Sahara Desert. There was massive fauna and flora all over the lake area and it is these deposits that over millions of years under the earth, become hydrocarbons, whether crude oil, coal or whatever else. @IG you must realise that the average Nigerian is gravely ignorant. You must learn to deal with them. Some people don't even know that there are towns in Borno where almost 100 of the populace are Christians and neither Fulani nor Hausa. That's why you have to come to Nairaland, tolerate all the insults and teach, teach, teach. @Afam By now you should know that becomebroke is comic relief on Nairaland. Whenever I've read some posts that are very upsetting, I just click on my special comedy thread: "Why The Yoruba, Edo, Bayelsa and Delta Should Join Benin Republic". Pure comedy I tell you. @Eziashi have you found out that the CIA did not instigate India to go to war with China or you just don't know therefore It's a lie. See, I've gone past the elementary stage of Nairalanders where by I'll be breaking down information rather that passing across points. If you use your computer well, you will be able to direct to a website called google. Or simply type www.google.com on the address bar. Use this google to intensively search for anything you're ignorant of, and it will give you results. Nigeria is not up to 15 years old. If you think Nigeria was oddly put together, check out the USA. Alaska was bought with money, including the human beings in it. That is why they want to break off. Texas has always maintained in the Constitution of the USA that it can break off at any time. The time is now. |
Let me introduce you to one of the principles of my Jaguda Economics: "Beer Bares the Bears". Put simply, when you invest in the largest alcoholic beverage producer in your country, by comparing the value of its shares with those of other companies, you will see the stocks that are really doing good and those that are just fronting. The share price of the largest alcoholic beverage company only dips when the country's economy is in real trouble. Only. When the times are good, we drink beer. When the times are bad, we drink beer. When the times are just the times, we still drink beer. Only when the money is not there at all that it tells on the beer. So when you see those shares that rise above Nigerian Breweries shares, then they later fall back, It's all just drama. When you see the shares that rise at a proportion to the rise in Nigerian Breweries and fall in proportion to it, all other things being constant, then you know these businesses are solidly rooted in the economy and really reflecting the realities on ground. So the beer will expose those bears that pose as bulls. Nigerians won't buy a plate of "amala" from a restaurant for N50 last month and buy same for N100 this month without noticeable improvement on the quantity, quality or taste. Why do we buy shares of companies more expensively when there's hardly any improvement in the companies themselves. Some Nigerians even have shares of companies that have packed up and they are still trading the shares. Nigerians I bow to you O! Some people are ready to buy Nitel shares at N20 if they start selling today. I just can't understand it. |
I think Intercontinental Bank should be properly investigated to be sure that it is not the offerings and tithes of members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God that is used to finance that bank only to hand over the profits to Ibori and Lucky in the form of loans. The ties of Eunoch, Onanefe, Akingbola, Cecilia and Lucky are beginning to look more and more binding. |
I don't know why people like thinking withing a carton. When Soludo was telling banks to give loans without collateral to people so they could in turn buy the banks' shares, I said that was silly. But it made sense to everyone else. When First Bank shares rose from N25 to N30, I was happy. But when it started getting to N50, I begged everyone who had their shares to sell. Not that First Bank wasn't doing well. That is my bank. They're okay. Very old school but practical, yet I had not seen the value of First Bank as and institution double in value, the quality of their service had not improved 2 fold, why was their share value going up. After 6 months of studying the stock market I called my brother one day in his parlour and told him to sell all the shares I had in his Bank. I was a big quarrel because he thought I was stupid to be selling when the market was just beginning to become very profitable. But I had to sell because I cannot have shares in a bank that will not give me a loan equivalent to the value of my shares. I cannot have shares in a bank whose major activity is round tripping of dollars. I cannot have shares in a bank that rebrands without due consultation with me. I cannot have shares in a bank that sends me an invitation to their AGM after it has been held. I cannot have shares in a bank whose major shareholder is a European bank that has secretly transferred millions of dollars to the MD as personal holdings. I cannot have shares in a bank that had virtually remained the same yet their share price has quadrupled. A bank that advertises on CNN with money it doesn't have. I sold my shares in GTB and spent the money lavishly. Today, I thank God for that. Sterling Bank, Wema Bank, Unity Bank. Just look at them. Even though they may not be as big as Oceanic and Intercontinental, they managed to weather this thing by barely keeping to the rules. But very soon if they don't change, States' money will not continue to save them. |
What is all this about? Can't somebody leave Nairaland for even a day without the place turning to Oshodi Market? |
Umoru, are you dead? -OBJ. |
@ oluomoadebayo hi there. seen you've been busy lots. Please can you help me run a check on this VIN JN1CA21D6ST016005. Thank you very much. |
@qblaze Don't worry about my safety. Osun is behind me. As for the Church, I'm already making preparations. The Heavens Gate Church of Open Blessings is underway and I will not let them down. I have the gift of prophesying which I have already mentioned a few weeks earlier that a star will fall in Cuba. Fidel Castro will soon pass on. Let us pray for the people of Cuba so that they will not see strife during that period. EMMANUEL! My only weakness is in speaking of tongues, but I'm practising. I've bought some Japanes, Russian, Swahili and Afghan audio tapes from which I'll source some materials from. Kummabara mama shantarebe ich Kerele Zanta Gunta! How's that for starters? I've got everything sort out. I'm also studying Daddy G.O. Not just the words he uses, but there's this calm way of talking that makes the mugu believe you're sure of that heavenly connect, that you're completely assured in your faith that can defy Physics, Biology and Nature. Miracles will abound in every angle in so far as you've entered Heavens Gate. Somebody shout Halleluyah! |
Please you people should have one mouth. Today you will say the North took all the wealth from the South to develope itself, with detailed photo evidence attached, tomorrow you will say the North has remained underdeveloped. Which is it? |
@qblaze I'm thinking of trying it someday. What if I just siphon the fuel into a jerrycan and keep that in my booth, do you think it will work? I don't think it will work cos that would just go to show that my faith is like a mustard seed compared to G.O's which is a mountain. @kokoA the miracle which Daddy G.O performed is nothing compared to that little feat which PHB predicted. Bank PHB is talking about the use of water which is itself matter so can be converted from one form to another and they predicted this to happen in the future. Daddy G.O however, is right now, driving automobiles which use NOTHING. So please they are not the same thing in anyway. On a more serious not though, is Erastus God? How come it was when Erastus heard that CBN was coming for them that Club 1,000 was formed? I just wonder. We will remember again that coincidentally, both CEOs got private jets. Could it be their company vehicles? Either Redeem is sponsoring Intercontinental, or Intercontinental is sponsoring Redeem, or they are inter-sponsoring each other. |
You all see why we need time to plan a revolution? Some people mistake it that we're planning genocide. How can I engage in a revolution when my comrades are going to be slaughtering downtrodden people of other tribes instead of bringing down necrocracy. As regards a bloodless coup, in Nigeria of today, it can't be done. Due to foreign influence and interests in Nigeria. The will want the revolution to last forever. At an average, 30% of the population will die. Not just directly from the violence, but from starvation, disease and contamination which would be caused by decaying dead bodies, transportation hazards that will engulf people fleeing (sinking ferries, crashing planes, cars and lorries). Not to mention those that will be killed in confrontation. We need a revolution, but it has to be planned. It has to be structured and it has to be timed. People like asha80 have to be re-oriented that revolution doesn't mean tribal war or ethnic cleansing. They have to be reminded that there will be no looking back. Nothing like "but e been dey share the money" or "na my inlaw brother wife". Before we get to the stage of the revolution, we must be sure that's what we want to do because once you get people like me activated, the job must be completed. |
Nothing wey Onanefe do them. Since they have refused to give hardworking Nigerians loans to do business, they will be taught a lesson. Did Ibori embezzle their money or loot their treasury? Erastus and Cecilia should go and recover their collateral and leave poor Onanefe alone. He's innocent of all charges. Is it a crime to collect a secure loan from a bank these days? I say what about Unity? What about Wema? The two banks whose work is to sit on percentages of a conglomerate of states' allocation. |
@Puser vous etes francais. N'est pas? |
Some people don't know how the French who were supporting "la revolution de liberte" of the Biafrans were also selling weapons to the Nigerian Government. People can't explain why the USA is crying out about the killing of Darfuris, yet they are the number one deliverer of weapons to the Sudanese Government, followed by the French, fellowed by the Chinese whom the USA accuse the most. Anybody that wants to become re-enslaved by the Oyibo people is free. They should just not involve the rest of us. Rumour has it that the life of an average Nigerian is now valued at about N10,000,000 or $65,000. Go ahead. |
@JamesG you see what I'm talking about? Why would I go to where every family in my village is gathered and tell them that my family is better than theirs? Will it not be my family's death that I'd be seeking? If I gather members of my family together in the parlour of our family house and tell them we are the best and most progressive family in the village. So you see what I'm saying. Who really is this guy? |
The level of ignorance on Nairaland has really been boosted to a very high percentage over the past two years. Somebody tell me, is a warring country not going to sell oil much cheaper than it is in the international market because of desperate need to purchase weapons? Ask the Angolans how much they sold their oil during the war better still, ask MEND how much they sell the crude oil they bunker. 100 barrels per gun. Not even dollars. Anyway, Nigerians won't break up. The CIA doesn't know the kind of people it is instigating. Didn't they want us to go to war with Cameroun over Bakassi? Didn't we shock them? When USA, France, Germany and even our dearest beloved Brutain had shipped billions of dollars of weapons to Cameroun on credit, haven't they lost out now? Nothing dey happen. China is listening to all this rubbish. They know the USA only wants to instigate war in Nigeria because they can't cope with the level of competition for African resoures coming from India and China. By the time the USA sets up its AFRICOM in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, China will set up their AMERICOM in Venezuela. That will lend support to Texas, Alaska, Rhode Island and all the other marginalized states in the USA that are agitating for break up. So while the USA is trying to encourage Nigerians to kill each other, come 2015, the Redneck states in the USA have decided that though they've been struggling to break off from that profitless Union for decades now, if that Kenyan cattle rearer should win his second term in 2012, they'll go to war. Mind y'all, Texas has more guns than all other states of the USA, they also have NASA, so their missiles can reach any other part of the USA and even their facilities abroad. Start you can apply for your visas and Red Cards to Texas now as long as you're willing to sign a conscription oath for 2012 action. As for Becomebroke, leave that Benin Republic indigene alone. He's just in love with cartography. It's his hobby. |
Adejale is a rogue. Please somebody should intimate me about the fuelless automobile. Why am I being left out on this feat, the pinnacle of Technological Intention has Adejale attained. Any photos of the car while Adejale was driving it would serve as reliable evidence. |
Please, you people have to forgive Thor. He's been through quite a lot. When you receive an email from the Central Bank Governor, Charles Soludo, alerting you at you need to help him embezzle hundreds of millions of dollars just by depositing a little bank charge of six thousand dollars, it can really scar you for life when you finally realise that Charles Soludo doesn't actually use a yahoo mailbox for official business. Imagine transacting business through an email: nigeriancentralbankgovernor@yahoo.com trying to transfer millions of dollars from www.centralbanknigeria.freesites.fj . The trauma could get so overwhelming. |
@all Please, can somebody fill me in on the fuelless car? This adds a new dimension to the whole thing. Please spare no detail. |
Abeg, anybody wey wan go back to slavery, it has now been privatized. You can sell yourself to any Oyibo of your choice at a price of $65,000. Thank God for democracy and freewill. |
Do you really wanna know? I was one of the most dangerous people that ever passed through FGC Kano (after the Ghetto Bastards, Scorpion , Jibesky and scorpion). I was a leader of most of the riots that took place when I was a senior. I sold library books. I graffitied the entire school walls. I used to organize fights. I was the lead commando on "red night". I got myself an exeat booklet that I issued to whoever wanted to go to town. I never attended class, but I always passed. I flung mattresses. I burnt the feet of my mates sleeping in the hostel. I poured a cold dirty water on the house master. I broke into the tuck shop. All this I did not for fun, but just to prove it could be done. There're just a few other things that are R-rated. I didn't punish juniors, didn't send them on errands or extort from them. I preferred doing things myself and picking on my own mates. I never carried firearms in secondary school, I just don't know why they nominated me for the award of "baddest boy". Thank God I didn't win. |
Why will ASUU reject 100% autonomy and instead prefer 60%. It's like Nigerians asking for 60% democracy. Why again do lecturers want to extend their retirement age. Is it that there are no people to take their place? Is it that the graduates of Education Faculties they produce every year have all got jobs? These people are just selfish. Let them name names. But let them name all names including those of them who've ever schooled abroad and whose children are currently schooling abroad. |
