@Thor

with your ID, the least I can expect is that you should be Thorough in whatever you do.

You said China has cheap labour, so do they not have the capital? They don't have land abi? No entrepreneurs? Now even you say that the Chinese have the requisite skills. What factor of production is missing now? The European atmosphere?

I will give you one example. The USA has always tried to disturb Russia with the issue of their missile defence system. They want to use that to threaten the Eastern Nations into believing that with their satellites all around the world monitoring, no country would be able to challenge them in war. While this arguement of Missile Defence in Poland/No Missile Defence in Poland was raging between USA and Russia, the government of China was silent. They sent some boys into the labs to invent something that would take out the missile defence system at anytime. So was born the surface to space missile which China used to bring down one of its own satellites claiming that the satellite had become obsolete. It took the USA about a year to be able to develope and test their first surface to space missile in response. Since then the USA has toned down on its disturbances of Russia with missile defence because China just showed the world that these idiots can keep throwing their hard working tax payers billions of dollars outerspace, but we can bring the whole thing down with a few missiles. So tell the USA that China invents nothing, if they won't call you a counter intelligence officer for the PRC.

About all those companies you listed? Who asked you for their full names, addresses and achievements? The fact that Intel makes $4 billion, does that make any difference to what I posted that they supply most of the world's computer companies with processors?

The fact that Mitsubishi will manufacture engines for Peugeot Jeeps means Peugeots are not French cars?

What exactly was the point of irrelevant information to this thread?

Well, I've told Ray Noble this before. The USA is built on lies and propaganda used to boost the morale of their citizens into paying more taxes because they feel good.

My mum did tell me once that when she was a kid, an Oyibo man came to rent grandpa's backyard. He cleared the entire plot, drove a multicolour clothed flag into the ground, dressed in the most ridiculous halloween costume and asked herself and the other kids to shoot some pictures of him jumping around the field in slow motion.

I didn't believe her till I met Ray Noble.

I knew Dora wasn't pure. I know all of you have forgotten the NESTLE case of importing EXPIRED SKIMMED MILK to manufacture baby food for Nigerian children. What did the case amount to? A couple million dollars in madam's account.

When I saw her wearing PDP "Aso Ebi" in one of those rallies for 3rd term, I knew she was completely lost. How can a government appointee who is not even a politician be wearing party regalia and supporting despotism?

Dora was not really a good person. She just was a minion among peers of demons.

She did some things right though but this Minister of Information is the wrongest decision she ever made in her life.

I cannot swim. I will not take up a job as life guard on a beach.

How can a pharmacist take up the job of a National Public Relations Officer when she cannot even speak.

This NTA thing is beginning to check out, but that doesn't mean I have any support for Dora. Look at when Hillary Clinton came to Nigeria. If Dora Akunwi had a debate with her, this would have become too ashamed for anybody to come online today. Then look at the way Vanguard Newspaper is spreading ill will through fraudulent reporting, and nothing is said or done. Can this woman stand a debate against Jerry Gana, Chikelu, Fani Kayode or Frank Nweke?

The ignorance of Nigerians mixed with religious fanatism and ethnic hatred is such a powerful whirlwind that it can blow any fabricated story from the Southern fringes of Nigeria to the Northern hem of the country with minutes.

Vanguard, one of their favourite terms is "feelers in Aso Rock have indicated that, " . Are they cockroaches that rather than using their eyes to see, the mouths to ask, and their ears to hear, they are now professionals at using their "feelers" to spread dangerous rumours and lies.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram New Leader: "We Will Teach Nigeria A Lesson: " by nex(m): 1:20pm On Aug 15, 2009
I believe the Vanguard Newspaper should be punished for publishing such a letter without confirming it authenticity of source.

People feel that freedom of information means a right to publish lies. It is illegal anywhere in the world to publish or air LIES or PERSONAL OPINIONS that can cause loss of life, destruction of property or upset and disturbance of the national polity.

After the genocide in Rwanda, a radio presenter who helped to spread the message of hate was sentenced to death. A the time he was hosting his radio station, calling for the wiping out of the COCKROACHES, he didn't know that what he was doing was wrong and could warrant the death penalty. He thought he was just doing his job and protecting the interest of his people. He was legally executed for that in a court of law supervised by the UNITED NATIONS. Imagine a journalist that hasn't even read the principle and limits of his job. But ignorance is no excuse, he paid with his life.

Do you watch FOX NEWS? Have you seen the way those morons present their programs and carelessly spread all sorts of information that could lead to the downfall of the USA? Many people have called on them to let them know that they are crossing the line, but they won't hear. The day that the lies they spread will lead to mass killings in the USA, that is when they'll find themselves at the other end of a lethal injection. They will be read the section of the criminal code which they violated and they will be read the penalty of death.

Freedom of expression and freedom of the press is different from the right to lie or incite one person to kill another.

If I call you to kill my mother-inlaw, that is not freedom of speech. That is conspiracy to commit murder.

Vanguard Newspapers should be scolded for this irresponsible journalism. There was a thread I saw earlier about irresponsible journalism but I didn't care to read it. I didn't know it'd gotten this bad. It really has gone over the board.

@Tsiya

Oh, yeah you said it was political. But you did condemn their actions all the same. That's what I was pointing out.

The problem with Nigerians is that they don't know each other. I have spent half my life in the North and the other half in the South. I have spent a third of my spiritual time in the mosque and another third in the church intermittently. At the end, I knew I could not hang with any side.

There was a time in the North when Rev. Bonkke came and lives were lost. There was a driver of one Cocacola Staff Bus who stopped to pick myself and some of the other students of my high school as a good citizen in order not to let youngsters get caught up in the violence. As we were on our way, I saw an old lady and asked the driver to stop and help her. By the time everybody was moving along safely, watching the damage and death the carnage of that day had left on the road side, this old lady called the attention of the other students, informing them of the presence of myself and the driver as "ARNE" and urged them to have us killed. It's one of the most amazing things I'd ever seen in my life. I was just in JSS 1.

When I was in Year 1 in UNIBEN, I went to Port Harcourt for the first time in my life to check on my sister. There was religious crisis this time too. About the year 2000 but I can't recall why. From Church, she was driving me down to her house when someone hit her car. While showing herself in true Niger Delta gra-gra style, the other driver started harrarsing her and I got out to try quelling the matter. A crowd of about 50 surrounded us and wanted to roast us up claiming that we'd killed their brothers and wanted to kill them too. I couldn't understand till I realised that it was because I word a caftan and she had a scarf on. A scarf she wore because she just came out of a Catholic Church!

Nigerians, I'm tired of you people. I'm tired. I know God can't help because he's already pissed at all the crimes we commit in his name.

See the way the most intelligent Nigerians and Africans can take off their human skin bring out the monkey in them once Religion or Tribe is brought into the scene.

I wish I were a European or Asian so I could colonise the entire Africa with just a few well crafted letters.

There's only one thing that can enslave Europeans; that's MONEY. It is hard to get and very costly. But for Africans, Religious and Tribal sentiments are cheap and easy to brew.

I'm very saddened to see Tsiya and THE AMAKA go at loggerheads on this non-issue.

These reasonable people who have been engulfed by the generalizations that their people make about each other. These are civilized people that I'm sure when the perpetuators of civil strife succeed, may be caught up in the hands of barbarians. I don't wish you evil, but by the time this fuel burns, it will turn us all to ashes.

When the issue of Boko Haram started, Tsiya was one of the first to come on Nairaland to condemn them and wish all of them extra-judicial executions. I had to scold him for that. It is surprising that he should now be grouped along with them in this new accusation. It's sad how Nigerians can be so easily swayed.

As for THE AMAKA, I promise you, she doesn't speak the way she types. Sometimes Nigerian issues just get so troubling that the only way you can deal with them is by discussing them playfully. Just to avoid giving yourself a heart attack. However, I must state clearly that in the Nairaland rules, it is wrong to keep arbitrarily typing in CAPS. Read the rules if they are still there. It's the first thing any Nairalander should do before posting messages. As Nigerians we must learn to put first things first and act according to the rules if not, tomorrow we'll become leaders and repeat the mistakes of today.

The Sharia matter is a very serious thing. Only a Christian President can allow Sharia, and only a Muslim President can stop it. For political reasons, so that this group does not say it is because the President is from here that he did this or did that. I will tell you all that Northerners believe they are the ones being marginalized in Nigeria while Southerners sincerely believe they are the ones marginalized. So both parties are aggrieved.

The letter itself is a FAKE. But it is producing very REAL results. Suspicion and tension have been built. I can promise you that handbills of this letter are being distributed.

Al Hakubarah y'all. I rest.

I attended ECWA (Evangelical Church of West Africa) nursery and primary school. Attended one of those Koranic Slate schools at the same time.

I taught myself a little Latin when I was still very young. Though I hated french very much, I had to go to Alliance Francais immediately after High School.

I understand Hausa, Yoruba and Edo fully, but I don't speak them much. I can decipher most Delta languages to a large extent.

I used to speak a little Indian cos I grew up among Indian and Pakistani kids in Kano.

I also learnt English as a prerequisite to any basic education in Nigeria.

I'm very much interested in studying language and linguistics but I didn't do that in college. I only used to study with my girlfriend and my sister who were in those departments.

I was in a Penn. State University online forum yesterday. See the way foreign linguists were breaking down the meaning and origin of the term Boko Haram. I was amazed. Only for a Nigerian to come in there and start talking about Economy, Poverty, Tribalism, Terrorism. I nearly died of shame. People are gather of strictly language studies, who cares about all your problems?

I believe my state is farther from the North than yours. I'm from Edo State.

Osun is my Goddess. I don't worship Jehovah or Allah. This thread and many others such as Club 1,000 are enough to tell you why.

I don't like discriminating except against my own people when they're behaving badly and wallowing in Ignorance. And of course against Oyibo people till they stop lying that they are WHITE people.

Okay, having said all this, I hope it helped you. Anything else?

Do these people even know that Mitsubishi, Toyota, BMW and Benz make the engines and parts of cars manufactured by several car companies all over Europe?

Look at Leo Stan Ekeh and his Zinox. Beautiful computers. We refused to patronize him. We started asking questions about whether he manufactured his own processors, because if not, then It's not truly a Nigerian Computer! Imagine that. Does HP manufacture processors? Does IBM manufacture processors? Does Toshiba manufacture processors? Is it not from Intel they get their processors? The same place Zinox acquired its own.

Some higher morons started asking whether the computers are running on an Operating System designed by Zinox because if not, then It's not really a Nigerian computer. Does Compaq create its own OS? Has Sony invented its own OS? Is it not windows all of them are using? Same Windows OS Zinox Computers use.

The group that really patronized Zinox the most was the Federal Government and its agencies. They tried, but that was not enough. Zinox now is gone. Gone far away to China where it can have peace. Importing our own products to us at a detriment to our balance of trade. How many jobs lost, that fragment of the GDP gone forever because of Nigerians stupidity, wickedness and envy.

Tomorrow you will say "Ah! Kase Lawal is wicked. He went to open refinery in Venezuela when Nigerians are suffering." " Ye! Phillip Emeagwali is bad. He went to invent computer for people that already had the best, when Nigerian children haven't even seen a PC in their lives." "Kai! Hassan Jega is heartless. He went to manufacture precision surgery devices in the USA when Nigerian children are dying." You are the ones killing yourselves because you reject every saviour yet worship false prophets. God will continue to punish Nigerians not because of Oil, not because of Leaders, not because of Diversity, but because since the days of the Tower Of Babel, our hearts have remained as hardened as the gravel.

Can't you see that this letter is a fabrication by MASSOB? Boko Haram whose majority members attended Islamic schools are now proficient in English and cannot properly construct the ONLY Arabic term in that whole letter.

Who is Sani Umaru? A combination of Sani Abacha and Umaru Musa Yar'Adua. Just like one yahoo boy told me he was George Bill, a banker from the USA.

Stop believing this propaganda that Sunny bobo and his cohort has decided to unleash on the Nigerian people to cause panic, confusion, mass migration and loss of lives and property.

Is the Boko Haram going to unleash terror on Nigeria with their catapults and assorted daggers and bottles? After all, the police has already seized their only AK 47 Rifle.

NEPA is not working, were still here. Clinton is misbehaving herself all over the place, we're still here. MEND have been blowing up pipelines, we're still here. ASUU has been on strike for 2 months now, we still remain. Boko Haram came and laid down their lives, here we are still. No peace, no security, no integrity, no electricity, no education, no jobs. But have you ever conceived any society with no money?

Now that you've all gone to sleep, can I post? CAN I POST?

First, my dear friend davidylan, if Sanusi fired Southern CEOs and replaced them with Northern CEOs, we can contemplate the Northernization of the banking industry. Not with the way thing went.

Look at all these banks. Starting with Union Bank, Finbank and Afribank, do you need a soothsayer to tell you that these banks are dead. Coming to join them in that mass grave soon are Unity Bank, Wema Bank, Sterling Bank and Spring Bank too would have been there if not for their acquisition by Platinum/Habib Bank. All these Banks mentioned, you don't need an oracle to divine their destiny.

The banks that you'd be suprised to see on that list though are Oceanic Bank and Intercontinental Bank. However let me tell you this. Did you know Oceanic Bank was one of those sponsoring the Third Term Agenda? This alone will tell you that they were trying to seek favours from the Federal Government to stay alive. Every economic summit I watched from 2007 till date, Cecilia Ibru always sat by Soludo. I said to myself, that bank is in trouble. That is the investment eye. You look at a picture and see data.

Intercontinental Bank was on these pages just as frequently as MEND was. Where you have Lucky Igbinedion as one of their major depositors. CEO buying Private Jets, Radio Stations and all sorts. Wearing bling-bling all over the place like he's Snoop Doggy Dogg. This bank had sold themselves to AIG through several underhand deals and I knew they would have serious crises. Their depositors woke up one morning to find their minimum deposit had become N10,000 overnight at one time.

I'll tell you all that every single bank in Nigeria today is stressed, but the most outrageously insanely alarming are the ones CBN took control of.

I know because of the Pa James analysis we use to outline issues on Nairaland, must people take my words with a pinch of salt. Okay. No wahala. Carry go!

I thank God for everyone that has come here to speak the truth and those that were not well informed before but now know.

But the stubborn ones who resist knowledge in a Boko Haram style. Whether you like it or not, CBN has the right, and is doing It's duty.

I know one day Nairalanders will say the NNPC has no right to shut down any filling station even though they're selling explosive kerosene. After all, It's their own kerosene and the NNPC did not invest in them. So only their board of directors can decide if they should shut down or not. The NNPC can only write a letter.

See their head! I've never seen a land like Nigeria were people so vehemently rebuked their helpers.

That is how CBN warned Nigerians 2 years ago to stop patronising WONDER BANKS but Nigerians refused. When I posted against these wonder banks: insults, abuses, threats, attacks. Seun will delete those Wonder Bank ADs from Politics thread: accusations, distrust, suspicion.

When the wonder owners of those Ponzi schemes ran away with their money, the started crying that CBN should have shut down the banks rather than just warning them. They said denex should have talked to them like a brother rather than just condemning their investments. The claimed that Seun should have appealed to them on the issue rather than shouting it down on them. However where is the money today? Gone forever.

Now something similar is about to happen and the people that can help have come in their capacity to help. The soon-to-be victims are here again to tear us down. To tear the CBN down. God save Nigerians. The country is okay. It is the ignorance of a large percentage of the people that can drag this entire planet into a black hole.
