@hollandis

I'm against the psychopaths that wrote that letter.

Do you know who wrote that letter? Does Sani Umaru exist?

Don't you see what the aim of the demons that crafted that letter was? To cause division and breed dissent before logic.

Those are the people I'm against. I won't be against some set of people just because their enemies wrote a letter in their name.

Do you know that Yusuf Muhammed's group does not call itself Boko Haram? That name was given to them as a mockery by people who laughed at their ideals. How can they now be signing a letter as Boko Haram. They never referred to themselves as Boko Haram.

Have you ever heard of a letter where MASSOB signed as "INYAMIRI"? Have you ever seen a letter where MEND signed as "THE TERRORISTS"?

To an extent, I'm happy that Nigerians are intelligent enough to put a decent effort at developing propaganda. It shows we're learning. But I'm so vexed that they choose to use it on their own people and the people are swallowing it hook, line, sinker and even fisherman. It's terrible.

Anyway, Al Hakubarah all the same.

yep. I answered. That's what the old lady. Lemme see if I can spell my Hausa right and put it in her own words: "dukkan su arna ne. Ga wannan, fuskan shi kamman krista. A kashe su a sami ladan Al Jannah."

I tell you my brother, it was no joke.

@THE AMAKA

I don't know what Al Hakubarah means or what language It's in. But that's what the purported Boko Haram letter was signed out as.

Can you imagine this so called Sani (Abacha) Umaru (Yar'Adua) fellow who is the acclaimed leader of Boko Haram can type in English so well, but cannot simply type ALLAHU AKBAR?

Anyway, I just love the way the word sounds so medieval, so je ne sais quoi; Al Hakubarah!
Politics › Re: Boko Haram New Leader: "We Will Teach Nigeria A Lesson: " by nex(m): 6:44am On Aug 16, 2009
Al Hakubarah to you all my brothers and sisters. I see the letter you lent credence to is beginning to yield fruits of violence and hate all over the place. Just one poorly constructed fake letter. Imagine if the CIA, KGB or MOSSAD should construct a better letter, we'd all be at war now.

Once more, Al Hakubarah.

@NINETOFIVE

I heard about that hopeless experiment. Too. Just stealing money all over the place with all these pointless projects.

Tomorrow, if Yar'Adua says he bought one "agbada" for 2 billion dollars, EU will shout. But at least the apparel is tangible and its here to be used. Where is the Beagle 2? Where is the new Earth that their big bang has created.

I've told these people before. You can't go through all the tension in everyday Nigeria then come to Nairaland to develope it into hyper tension. Sometime back Nairaland and Nigeria matter took my heart rate to 80/min.

Don't take these things too seriously. In fact, I'm off to the Poetry threads.

All those idiot videos they used Final Cut 0.01 or Adobe Premier Pro 0.005 to manipulate. With the kind of software available today, that video would be torn apart and the truth revealed.

It's like FIFA coming to tell us that the Maradona HAND OF GOD video is lost so we can't use modern technology to analyse the goal.

The whole thing was a sham. NASA Entertainment Limited. The fools I pity are the Europeans that saw the virtual EFX-ed mars rover videos. Britain convinced the whole of Europe to invest billions of Euros of their hard earned taxpayers money to launch one big mass of scrap metal into space believing it would get to Mars. That was the story of the Beagle 2. Not even the Cherubs and Seraphs know where that thing is till today.

When they saw that they had been deceived by the British who convinced them with several Hollywood-style NASA home videos, they went ahead to lie to their citizens that the money lost wasn't much. Just $40 million. If really to send a Mars craft out can be as cheap as that, then even Mali would have sent out a rover to Saturn.

No be only moon dem go. Dem for kuku go star. Ordinary Atlantis wey dey earth here, dem never fit go, na moon.

Abi nor be so dem dey see UFO all over the place? Only dem. Mumu people. Pay betta tax happily so that NASA Entertainment Limited and House of Macro go shoot another home video for una at the cost of $300 billion.

I'm from Edo O! My half sister is half Edo, half Urhobo and our people in Port Harcourt nearly used us to make barbecue just because we wore muslim clothes. A caftan on me a scarf on my sis, just coming out from a Catholic church. Please somebody explain what muslim clothes are. It's not like I was wearing a turban or she a burqah?

In Kano, the "edede" I was trying to help ordered my classmates to matyr me just because I had a "CHRISTIAN FACE". What the fuçk is a Christian face? The only saving grace I had was that I always helped out with assignments and during tests.

So I'm not a muslim and neither a Christian, but them religious fanatics have almost killed me on both charges.

For those that feel the story is genuine because Thisday and Guardian carried it, I will remind you of the woman that claimed she had more than 9 children for Michael Jackson and that Lucifer was her father. All the media houses all over the world carried it, but does that make it true?

Anybody that believes Vanguard should not be punished because other media houses joined them in spreading the story, lemme tell your a short story about CNN. CNN used to be the number 1 news breaker in the world. No? What happened? The Iraqi war started.

The Bush regime realised that if CNN carried on breaking news about the war on Iraq, things could go really haywire. So the government had A TALK with them. Since then, Sky News, Al Jazeera, Xinhua, Agence Presse and ZDF are now the news breakers.

Even Al Jazeera which is not a TV Station has been threatened by the USA for being the first to publish Osama bin Laden videos, audio tapes and letters with thorough confirmation.

So when very dangerous news surfaces and an editor is unsure of its veracity, just wait for the first idiot to publish it. Even if you publish 1 second after the first media house to do it, you're absolved.

I believe the Vanguard should be punished so that this kind of rubbish doesn't repeat itself.
Business › Re: CBN Sacks CEOs And Management Of Five Banks by nex(m): 9:51pm On Aug 15, 2009
Ahem, I see some people don't know that they could land in hot soup right now if they fall among debtors of these banks.

When you collected the loan or lease, did you read that very fine microscopic print under the page that stipulates conditions unders which your loan can be called on at any time the bank really needs it?

Force Majeure or something like that. Are these circumstance out of the bank's control? Do I hear a yes?

The best anyone can do under such a situation is re-finance which is like using loan from another bank to pay off your loan. The interest rate is higher than your original loan and there's even more fine print.

Failure to do that, the bank apply for you to be declared bankrupt and then your properties or assets can then be disposed of to settle your debt. In case of a lease, the leased item can be repossessed in addition to whatever downpayment or installment you've already paid so far. Shey y'all wanted a credit economy?

he was talking about corruption. And the total lack of conscience with which it is done by those up there, the impunity with which it is carried out. It becomes clear that they've not only dismissed God, they've "taken care" of Him.

@cbase

you have to re-write this. It's great and very emotional, but it gets so personal that your readers start to get out of touch.

You force some rhymes too. You don't have to force a rhyme. You can use rhythm or meaning too to link the couplets in your verses.

Don't put too much emphasis on rhyming. If I may use the example of two poets in the Hip Hop genre, Tupac used more of rhythm and meaning to link his lines while Biggy concentrated more on rhymes. Most people believed Tupac to be a better poet because rhyming is just 1 tool in poetry. Don't lean on it too much.

Politics › Re: What Can The Nigerian People Do To Save Their Democracy? by nex(m): 5:16pm On Aug 15, 2009
Nigerians have to be bold.

The Nigerian people together make up one of the strongest forces ever known to nature. If the USA should drop 5 nuclear bombs in Nigeria today, the Nigerian people will still remain. What effect compared to that has Chris Uba or Aloa Akala? Why do the Nigerian people fear them? How do they intimidate us?

We must be proactive.

We must take part in our own destiny. We mustn't trust anybody with the responsibility of ensuring our future. We mustn't wait till it pinches us personally before we act. We cannot wait for the Government to appeal to us to vote. We must stop believing our votes don't count. We must be at polling stations till the ballots are counted and we take records to compare with official announcement

We have to maintain Eternal Vigilance. Keep at alert, observing and taking action immediately in order to sustain our democracy, integrity and freedom.

We cannot afford to be ignorant, so everyone must seek enlightenment. Self education through reading, listening and browsing. How many lifetimes can it possibly take to read and understand the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, or the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? We have to know. enLIGHTenment means to bring oneself into the light. So cannot remain in the darkness and pursue anything good.

@Poster

wherever I am, whatever I'm doing, I must get to Lagos October 1960 to make my statement to the government and the people of Nigeria. Yes. I mean 1960 because that is when our true independence as humans will begin. All we have been doing so far is a farce.

Hmmm, Nigeria!

Tony Blair and Jacques Chirac watched too many of those sci-fi movies shown by the USA's NASA "Entertainment Company".

Next thing Europe gathered their citizen's taxes, under the umbrella body of the ESA (European Space Agency) molded it into one solid metal object, named it Beagle 2 and tossed it into space.

Till this very day, you have not asked questions on what really happened, why they felt that money could not be budgeted for something else or even stood up to be told the truth about what happened to the money.

They claimed it was a failure, but wasn't it planned to be a failure? How were they planning to recoup the funds? By having 1 million hits on beagle2.com?

You people never complain when Europeans are experimenting, innovating, stealing and wasting. Why talk when we wat to do ours?
