@McKren

Did this George Golloway dude address any military assembly in which he suggested them to give the USA Government or Iraqi Government an ultimatum?

I did read the statement, and if I were to have been in the Government, anybody making this kind of statement will be tried for treason, and if found guilty, would most likely die.

@Becomerich

you mean if we make you president, you won't remove the Yoruba, Edo, Delta and Bayelsa and join them to Benin Republic? Na wah O! Power changes people.
Politics › Re: Which Nairalander Would You Like To See As President? by nex(m): 3:36pm On Aug 22, 2009
The reason I wan becomerich to becomepresident is so he can remove the Yoruba, Edo, Delta and Bayelsa then amalgamate them with Benin Republic. After that we will have peace in Nigeria and never have to endure any of those maps happily ever after.

1. How's the weather treating you today sir?
2. Do you need any assistance with your mission sir?

@McKren

You have actually seen this George Golloway fellow address an assembly of Iraqi soldiers or the Mehdi Army inciting them to take over the Government?

Please know what freedom of speech is before you attempt to exercise it. You may get into very serious trouble.
Politics › Re: No Nigerian Citizenship For British By Marriage by nex(m): 1:52pm On Aug 22, 2009
A foreign woman married to a Nigerian cannot be a citizen of Nigeria except she renounces her citizenship to her original country. No dual citizenship for people of non-Nigerian descent.
Politics › Re: Police Parade Goat As Robbery Suspect In Kwara! by nex(m): 1:07pm On Aug 22, 2009
The goat was only a suspect that was detained for interrogation and later released on sale. It was never convicted of the crime so I really don't know what all the fuss is about here.

It's not only nom de plume, you will soon see nom de papier. You want Jakumo to use 4 years scatter our head with vocabulary just to prove that Obahiagbon has been saying rubbish? You want all the pastors and imams to go to jail? Please O!

"Standard and Poors na total scam." They don't rate credit risk these days, they rate credit fallout. It is after the effect of the risk has manifested that they make pronouncements.

Their name should be Poor Standards. Bloody bribe takers.

Compassionate my fart. Haven't you noticed how all these European countries have been warming up to Libya lately? Italy $5 billion dollars compensation, England with renewed diplomatic ties, Switzerland apologised for detaining his son, scotland is releasing this terrorist for both miscarriage of justice and compassionate grounds.

What is there if they come out and say they jailed an innocent man just for revenge sake. There's nothing like miscarriage of justice and at the same time compassionate grounds. Either they're forgiving him or apologising to him. The two are mutually exclusive.

Let them confess, It's all about the OIL. Any western country that does not line up orderly for Libya's oil will be nudged out by China or India.

Demonic people.

Becomerich for President. So that he can cut off the Yoruba, Edo, Delta and Bayelsa to join Benin Republic and we'll finally have peace on Nairaland.

If Seun becomes President, the first thing he will do is construct sustainable infrastructure starting with a large billboard over six states which can be seen from outer space saying NIGERIA BELONGS TO SEUN OSEWA!

On the real though, I vote Afam.
Politics › Re: ‘34,000 Women Die Yearly Over Abortion In Nigeria’ by nex(m): 12:01pm On Aug 22, 2009
These are the women that have chosen to sacrifice their lives to curb population explosion in Nigeria. Why are they stopping them. For an estimate of 34,000 women dead from abortion, consider the lives of the babies they aborted. Altogether, about 70,000 being reduced from our population annually. That's not a bad thing, that is something that the Government can even put as one of its achievements in population control.

This group should stop going all over the place trying to save the lives of serial abortionists. They are evil. They are not needed in our society. Anybody that can kill an innocent child who has not even been born. Think of how easily such a person can kill an adult that cannot be absolved of all blame.

I personally believe that anyone engaging in abortion for simple convenience should face the death sentence but if they are dying during the process of the abortion itself, I have no problem with that.

I have to mention here that I am not against abortions carried out in critical cases threatening the lives of mothers.

Politics › Re: Cbn Admits Error In List Of Bank Debtors by nex(m): 10:52am On Aug 22, 2009
It was really terrible for the CBN to have mistakenly imputed Aliko Dangote's name on the wrong list. The man is a custodian of monies belonging to millions of Nigerians. It is very unfortunate they will be thrown into panic unnecessarily. Aliko Dangote does not owe Intercontinental such an amount of money. Even Ali Dangote and the Dansa Oil and Gas have put out a statement to say that Intercontinental Bank sold their collateral even while they were yet to default on their loan facility.

If you read the statement put out by the Management of Dansa Oil and Gas, you will begin to understand the level of daftness of these bankers.

CBN should apologise to Aliko Dangote.

Intercontinental should apologise to Dansa Oil and Gas.
Sports › Re: Nigerian League Fan Thread: Enter D Place N Know Every by nex(m): 3:46am On Aug 22, 2009
The media does not cover anything just because it wants to copy its colleagues abroad. They broadcast programs which the public are interested in.

Hardcore fans don't support clubs in the UK just because. They're so passionate about matches because of the money they bet. Until there're proper betting agencies in Nigeria, there will be no interest in our Football league and no network will be willing to cover the league by paying broadcast fees. Most Nigerian Television Stations in Nigeria won't even cover the matches for free.

Betting will bring interest, passion, glamour and class to our league.

before I can say anything about learning pidgin, I have to know how good your English grammar is so at least I can explain some basic concepts in pidgin English.

If you can lay your hands on some decent videos of Fela Kuti which has subtitles, it'll do you some good.

Politics › Diary Of Nigeria by nex(op): 2:11am On Aug 22, 2009
My motherland has a journal. A record of her daily deeds. Nigeria has a diary that doesn't just hold the tales of events, but  moods, feelings and attitudes.

Every single second, there's an entry made. Every single opinion voiced, telling our story just as it unfolds.

My country has a living blog with real people giving every account of it. The past, present, the future till eternity.

From the first threads when we hollered "hi, anybody here?". The times when polite replies greeted new posters learning to start a new topic, to the times we shared ideas and had discussions under the glare of the whole world. We moved on and continued to grow, then we invited friends and here we finally are today: hatred, anger, dissent, ignorance, tribalism, lies, stupidity, childishness, deceit, suspicion, pettiness, hopelessness, vanity, terrorism, confusion, ridicule, separatism and fallacy.

Here lay the pages of our lifetime spent together, the history that will become of our stay on this land. A detailed outline of how it  all played out which will give the generations unborn an insight to how exactly they got where they ended up eventually.

So feel free, express yourselves, please post whatever you like but remember that even if the world were to end today and other lifeforms inhabited the earth, it will be used to judge the kind of people we were, the sort of lives we lived.

From our science and technology, civilization, business, languages and communication, welfare, religion, culture, literature, politics, foods, poetry and music, occupations, crimes, lifestyles, sports, beliefs, wars, leisure, fashions and style, arts principles and values,  our heroes, villains, our environment and ourselves. Our story will be told.

Post whatever you want, but be always in truth and of an upright stand. For our bodies may be burned and our souls raptured but our history will always, forever endure here; on Nairaland, the Diary Of Nigeria.

I can only do my part.

You don't have a diary segmented into various topics. So chronological it MUST be.
