@George_D how will Deltans feel if Ondo state indigenes blow up the PTI Warri in their own show of freedom fighting for the Niger Delta people? After all, the institute is a Federal one. But do you think it will be fair to the people of Delta state? Do you think they won't look for an opportunity to strike back at Ondo? I'm not from Lagos state, but the fact that Lagos is the most mature and civilized state among all the rest doesn't mean we should use our madness to put it in jeopardy. There is no way to justify the Atlas Cove bombing. Lagos has been the state carrying the voice of the Niger Delta struggle to the entire country and bringing in Niger Deltans to communicate with the entire country and beyond. If the Lagos state government decides to ban all television and radio broadcast on the Niger Delta issue and censor all print media within its borders (which you know the FG will support), how do we get word out? How do we garner support and sympathy? That is, the real Nigerian citizens from the Niger Delta who are concerned about the situation. CNN and BBC will not come to stay in the Niger Delta 24/7. And without adequate media coverage, the Federal government can slaughter 5 militants and 5,000 innocent citizens and NTA will say JTF just completely annihilated MEND. They will dress everyone up in camouflage, with rifles and send the pictures round the world which AIT, STV, Channels, TVC, LTV or MiTV will be there to help deny the claim or refuse to doctor the pictures? Anyway, like Fashola said, let it never repeat itself. |
Bless you all. I'm not one of the organizers of this march, but I have dedicated myself to do everything possible to make it very successful. I know we're saying 1 million man march everyday, but right now, the support I'm seeing is truly amazing. I just gradually noticed all my Facebook friends changing their profile pics to the Light Up Nigeria Logo and several others using their status updates to bring attention to it before I realized it was all about this group which I'd initially just casually joined because of the respect I had for the person who invited me. By October 1, I'm expecting to see more than 3 million people. Regarding logistics and planning, I've already made my own suggestions which are not in conflict with what everyone else is saying. @upuphim the French Revolution didn't start as a "let's kill king Louis" project. It was an organized rally to show lack of support for the Monarchy. However, the way the protest was handled, led to the events that followed in 1797. |
HILARIOUS SOLUTION TO THE PHCN PROBLEM? I have been on WAP for a while, so I've not been able to view the homepage in HTML. But honestly, if really that is what Seun has branded this topic, then I'm really awed at the length people would go to celebrate our cowardice and appreciate our state of slavery. There have been many silly topics on Nairaland that have been redecorated by Seun and made to seem relevant. Or are the moderators trying to tell me that anytime Nigerians come together to discuss relevant issues without tribal or religious sentiments, it then becomes HILARIOUS? What is even happening? Is it not the Seun Osewa I knew pre-Nairaland? Humble, intelligent, considerate and progressive? Just to manage half a million internet accounts and he's changed to something else? If Nairaland crashed tomorrow, nobody will die, nobody will fall ill. What if he was given an opportunity to oversee the real lives of human beings? Anyway, it is advised that Seun changes the "alias" he has unilaterally assigned this thread. If you had an opportunity to see the kind of people in Nigeria that have thrown vicis weight behind this thing, no one here will find LIGHT UP NIGERIA HILARIOUS. @kosovo even Yar'Adua has said that Nigeria does not recognise kosovo, I can see why. |

Hi Monitor _1 can you help with VIN: 3GNFK16Z52G249545 Link to the AD: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-301566.0.html |
@Upuphim what violence are you talking about. The violence is not going to come. Not during the Protests anyway. But after series of protests, and months of inaction from the government, the mass of protesting citizens will continue to grow in numbers and their patience will be inversely proportional to their size. So let's see the people who will take no action when Nigerians all over the country en masse to emulate what will happen in Lagos come October 1. It's a New Nigerian Order. Let's get our voice back. |
There are already different Logos for the Light Up Nigeria March. I posted the one which is most popular. Definitely partakers will have a uniform attire so that we can easily identify any group of thugs who may want to hijack the movement for their own nefarious activities and purge them out. The movement is on and there's enough time for the organizers to plan for any add-ins. This land is ours. It's not Rilwan Lukman's or Obasanjo's or Yar'Adua's. It is ours and we decide what is and what should be. |
Still available. This monster can sit six comfortably in the back seats alone with a Drop-down DVD player for their entertainment, and a driver and passenger in the front, altogether seating 8. Best for an entourage of a Movie Crew or a Music Label Artistes on tour. Can pull a caravan up to 10,000 for those living on the Island, there goes your boat! The Bose Sound System with speakers all over is out of this world. |
Right now, the police, the army and other security agencies are fully engaged in wanton massacre of these groups. In fact, the massacre in the north right now is worse than anything the JTF has done in a single week in the Niger Delta. I think the reason why so many people were killed by the armed forces over the last couple of days was that it was just so annoying that people are agitating over Crude Oil and some other morons want to agitate violent over something that makes no sense. I believe there are about 300 killed so far. Believe me, there's no issue of tribalism or religious bias on the part of the police and army, they are killing these militants like flies. |
Jesus Christ! Kobojunkie, are you listening to yourself? We have set aside a clear date on which to act and you're telling about action speaking louder. So because I want to give you action, I should abandon the stipulated date and head straight to Maryland, perambulating all over town on my own. You demand for action from me is absolutely pointless. Please, let's not turn this thread into a thrashcan for crazy suggestions. Date's been fixed, plans are being perfected and all of a sudden, you want me to take immediate action just to confirm it speaks louder. Yesterday, I spread the message to about 100 online, and 20 via direct contact yesterday and I'm going to continue today. What other action do you want me to take right now? Should I go to Kainji Dam and start spinning the turbine like eina suggested? Please, mention something feasible that I can do right now prior to the 1 Million Man March and I'll consider it. Don't just throw proverbs here and there just because you've heard them before. Abeg, I have a business to tend to in the Auto section. I don't have all day the chew the fat with you. |
@Kobojunkie you mean I should keep on fetching water into a bucket other people are turning upside-down without telling them to stop first? You don see betta Ghandi. |
Well, It's not really a scandal yet. Afterall, the government of Britain gives BBC 8 billion Pounds Sterling every year and they can't still meet up with CNN. Meanwhile, HDTV is far ahead of SDTV. Even your normal DVD cannot display an entire movie in HD format. Standard Definition Equipment can be upgraded to High Definition Equipment far cheaper than it can be replaced. It is some components that need to be changed not the whole thing tossed away. MTN upgraded from 2.5 G to 3 G without touching a single mast. You know how these things are. Nigerians never take action, so money must always be chopped. But It's not yet a scandal. Let's wait for it. |
Truly, 157 million is what I believe the population of Nigeria would be about now. But really, looking back at the old days, you will realise that more and more people are now having less children in comparison. Today, you may know a friend or two that are only children to their parents. Back in the day it wasn't so. If we embark on any further rapid population drop, we will regret it. We will gradually crawl to a population of 2 million, remain static for a while, and then start reducing in number. China has maintained its population at about 1.3 billion but rather than think of reduction, has recently realized that there is something terribly wrong with the population. Now they are urging people to have more than 1 child, but the thing is that most couples are too old to have a second child. The young ones do not even have enough women to go round as wives due to the abortion of female foetuses during the one child policy which has lasted more than 20 years. Let's leave our population to gradually stabilize. People are learning the cost of raising a family and both rich and poor are now limiting the number of kids they have. |
Ehen, them don come again. Cold Footers and Blanket Wetters. We are holding this protest in Lagos and Fashola is in support of anything to challenge the power situation. Besides, a lot of Media support is going to be there. Beaming on the internet live. On international stations. I've personally sent messages to everyone I know in the the industry. From those working with NTA to some with MTV Base and HiTV. I've invited people involved in video coverage and they will be broadcasting live even via video calls. Ireport doesn't have jack on this. The entire police force in Nigeria I believe is less than 1 million personnell. You people should stop trying to intimidate us away from standing up for your right. Whether we like it or not, Nigeria must change now! |
Boko Haram more accurately translates to: Secular Education's an Abomination. They want the type of education they had before the British came in. Saudis don't attend secular schools, but they're more educated than Nigerians. Give the people what they want. |
With all due respect, because I respect King Sunny Ade so much, but the man has just shown that he's a goat. A king that orders for a string of cowries to be placed around a musicians neck is different from a gang of people dancing on Naira notes. What he should be talking about is that the CBN, should not bother anybody spraying Dollars, Euros and Pounds. |

Nothing can be done in the Niger-Delta without those same militants taking the opportunity to kidnap and kill. No company prays to win a construction contract in the Niger-Delta, so how is the government going to upgrade the PTI in Warri? If our youth don't want anything to be done down here, please let them go and do it where the people will allow. |
They just woke up and decided they want Kofi Anan to come and mediate in the issue. Na wah O! Why Kofi Annan? Why not George Bush or Queen Elizabeth? Meanwhile, as a minister of Petroleum, I don't think the man should be having any bonus share in a petroleum company, lest he be bias in the use of his good office. Altogether, I really don't think at the age we are in Nigeria today, Rilwan Lukman should be holding any public office. Them wan change all our parastatals to retirement homes? |
@ oluomoadebayo I cannot be able to thank you enough, but at least lemme start from thank you very, very much. |
VIN: 3GNFK16Z52G249545 VIN Report: For Personal Use Only Print This Page Print This Page • Print All Pages Print All Pages Loading, For Personal Use Only Rebuilt/Reconstructed Title A Rebuilt/Reconstructed vehicle is a salvage vehicle that has been repaired and restored to operation. These vehicles are often severely damaged before they are rebuilt and refurbished parts are typically used during reconstruction. In most states, an inspection of the vehicle is required before the vehicle is allowed to return to the road. Manufacturer Buyback or Lemon A DMV or a state agency marks an official document or issues a Manufacturer Buyback/Lemon title when a vehicle has been repurchased by the manufacturer. Not all states issue manufacturer buyback titles and the specific requirements for a lemon law vehicle varies by state. Odometer Rollback If a more recent odometer reading is less than an older reading, then the odometer may have been tampered with and "rolled back". Manufacturer Recall Automobile manufacturers issue recall notices to inform owners of car defects that have come to the manufacturer's attention. Recalls also suggest improvements that can be made to improve the safety of a particular vehicle. Most manufacturer recalls can be repaired at no cost to you. Basic Warranty Most manufacturers offer a basic warranty for new vehicles. These warranties vary by manufacturer and typically last for a certain amount of time and/or a set number of miles. Not Actual Mileage Title When the seller certifies, under the Federal Odometer Act, that the odometer reading does not reflect the vehicle's actual mileage. This may occur because the odometer was tampered with, broken, or replaced. Junk Title A Junk Title is issued on a vehicle damaged to the extent that the cost of repairing the vehicle exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value. This damage threshold may vary by state. The majority of states use this title to indicate that a vehicle is not road worthy and cannot be titled again. Some states treat Junk titles the same as Salvage. Loss Due To Fire Title The vehicle sustained major damage due to fire. In most states, fire damage titles are issued when the cost of repairing the vehicle for safe operation exceeds its fair market value. Exceeds Mechanical Limits A vehicle with a 5-digit odometer cannot accurately track mileage after 99,999 miles because the odometer rolls over. This title is the result of a seller certifying under the Federal Odometer Act, that the odometer reading EXCEEDS MECHANICAL LIMITS of the odometer. Structural / Frame Damage In most cases, a vehicle is inspected for structural or frame damage, depending on the body design, after an accident or other incident. All levels of accidents from minor to severe can cause structural / frame damage and in most cases it can be repaired. Airbag Deployment Occurs when the driver, passenger or side airbag has been used or deployed during a crash or other incident. If an airbag has been deployed, it must be replaced by a qualified technician. Have this car inspected by a mechanic prior to purchase. Salvage Title A Salvage Title is issued on a vehicle damaged to the extent that the cost of repairing the vehicle exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value. This damage threshold may vary by state. Some states treat Junk titles the same as Salvage but the majority use this title to indicate that a vehicle is not road worthy and cannot be titled again in that state. The following eleven States also use Salvage titles to identify stolen vehicles - AZ, FL, GA, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NM, NY, OK and OR. Total Loss An insurance or fleet company declares a vehicle a total loss when a claim exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value or if the vehicle is stolen and not recovered. This damage threshold varies by company. These companies typically take possession and obtain the title. Not all total loss vehicles result in a DMV-reported branded title, like a Salvage or Junk title. See the glossary for more information. Accident / Damage Indicator Various events could indicate an accident or damage in a vehicle's history, such as: salvage auction, fire damage, police-reported accident, crash test vehicle, damage disclosure, collision repair facility and automotive recycler records. See the glossary for more information. Hail Damage Title The vehicle sustained major damage due to hail. In most states, hail damage titles are issued when the cost of repairing the vehicle for safe operation exceeds its fair market value. Flood Damage Title States issue flood titles when a vehicle has been in a flood or has received extensive water damage. The man is innocent till proven guilty and anything he says on AIT can be used against him in a court of law. The bank should go and make the collateral liquid and leave the man alone jare. When hard working Nigerians will go to collect loans they will not give, but a policeman in oil business is obliged. Okiro will answer to the Code of Conduct Panel, and the police for the other accusations, but in the case of paying the loan, zero! They should go and sell their plot of land in Ogun state. It must be well worth more than N166m. After all, one bank told me that to I needed to provide a collateral worth more than 3 times the value of a loan before it is approved. Are they even calculating the interest abi na Islamic Bank? |

@MUZBO I would have just scrolled away after reading your post, but the fact that you don't know how many million Nigerians have died for lack of a phone. People that Abiola through ITT has killed! I saved lives in 2006 when a band of robbers were raiding people at Magodo estate gate. Called my brother who was about to leave work and told him to stay on the Island. I called some neighbours whose numbers I had. During accidents people now call hospitals and relatives. I'm sure you've never heard of ICE numbers. Numbers that can be called In Case Of Emergency. In fact, may a cauldron of boiling lava be poured on Abiola's head where he's chained in Hell. |
In the original plan for Tinapa, they forgot to include a hospital, clinic or sick bay. So if anything had happened to anyone there, the person would most likely die. I don't know if they've corrected that. I have no problem with Tinapa in fact, I believe Donald Duke is the best governor Nigeria has seen. However, Liyel Imoke odds to sit with Duke and extensively discuss this Tinapa thing because I believe Imoke does not really know the purpose which Tinapa was to serve. @Sapeleguy what did I dismiss? APPROVED ACTIVITY is clearly mentioned in the Tinapa regulations. You people keep mentioning the fact that it is an EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE, but you refuse to agree to what EPZ means. It means ship in resource or raw materials, manufacture or assemble, then ship out. The trade fairers were not doing that. They imported finished goods, sold them to Nigerians and the buyers were taking them home. Has EXPORT been PROCESSED in that manner? You have no clue that what they FG is doing there is protecting our interest. Manufacturers in Nigeria pay tax. VAT, import duty, corporate tax, even income tax. Do you know what will happen to all these many jobs will be lost if the FG allows us to convert Tinapa from an Export Processing Zone to an IMPORT DUTY FREE ZONE?! Please now, Nigerians if we won't help ourselves, at least let us allow another person to help us. So how will Tinapa create jobs if nothing is going to be processed for export? Is it the sales boys that will be in shopping malls that is the massive job creation? Tell me how revenue will be generated when companies come from abroad, do not pay any licence fee, import goods without paying import duty, sell to Nigerians without remitting any VAT, then repatriate the money they make back to their country. How is revenue now generated for the state or nation? Do you believe that is what is done in Dubai? Please, let's help ourselves. Do the right thing. |
