That is simply what it is. I don't know where others are getting their own understanding from. The word contract as limited in Nigerian lingo is what caused this whole confusion. Aid has to be agreed to by both donor and recipient. The document of the agreement is the contract. Chinese firms have won contracts what billions of dollars without their and consul making a fuss about it. This one is aid or in Nigerian parlance, "dem dash us". |
Bilymuse it is only a president like Yar'Adua that this will happen under his government without any ethnic strife because they can't accuse him of bias against his own people. If OBJ run this kain parade against Islamists, na sai gobe O! In short, I believe if any president can ban Sharia, It's going to be one from among the Sharia states. |
I see know reason why there shouldn't be religious parties. After all, there are ethnic parties, regional parties and tribal parties. There are two main things killing Nigeria. Religious Fanatism and Tribalism. Why should we formalise one and not the other. If we wan spoil, make we spoil finish once. I don't know why we're choosing the long slow route to destruction. However, whether we have religious parties or not, PDP will still rule this country because it invites elements of all. So bring them on. Remember too that in a religious government, the leader should not be questioned or judged because he was chosen by God. At least all these tribal governments have not have that kind of umbrella and they're committing such havoc. Goodluck Nigeria. |
See, the ICJ can only try to defend the rights of Nigerians when Nigerians say their rights are being abused. Look around you. Nigerians are celebrating extra-judicial killings and some people want to go to the ICJ, Nigerians will make complete idiots of them. If Taylor had been exonerated by the voices of Liberians and Sierra Leoneans, do you think the ICJ could've had a case against him? The majority of Nigerians have endorsed extra-judicial killings and there's nothing we can do about it. It's their right and that's why they call it a democracy anyway. |
I don't care if they replace Lukman with someone from the North, East or South. Or someone even from Jamaica. The man is out of touch with what is happening in the Nigerian Petroleum Industry today, in relation with the rest of the world. I saw him say when he was appointed that he will ensure that Nigeria exports more crude oil than it has done before in order to meet vision 20 20 20 goals. Oya, he should go and pump 3 million barrels from the oil well. The only way Nigeria can retain any decent revenue from Petroleum is by ending the export of crude oil and start processing and exporting only refined petroleum products. As a matter of fact, right now, I believe anybody that is older than Nigerian should not be working for the country. They will always look at Nigeria as a small child whose candy should be taken away. Everybody born before 1960 should not be allowed to work in government. They should retire and go start their own businesses. Wetin sef?! |
@Jakoko where did Texazzpete mention "Out Of Nigeria"? The way you're reshaping what someone just posted in here is making me suspect you to be a Sahara Reporter. Saharareporters are too eager for bad news. It's as if they kneel down and pray for Nigeria to be engulfed in one disaster or another scandal. When this doesn't happen, they search too hard and sometimes they end up so desperate that they print cooked up stories they buy from Personal Assistants, Drivers and Househelps that work for politicians. I like their vigilance, but when starts making them churn out sensational falsehood, It's time to stop and review themselves. |
I think going through this thread, it is clear that majority supports execution of suspects without trial. I think we should all write to the senate so they can include it in their constitutional review. Nobody is supporting Boko Haram here, nobody is asking the police to bring those men back to life. What we're saying is that Nigerians should condemn this act or else the police will see this as a licence to execute suspects on a regular basis publicly. We all know they execute innocent people in their custody but that has always been hidden and denied by them. Now that they've tried it in the public glare, let's not embolden them with our support. There are several people who have been arrested for treason in this country. Are you people saying they should've been killed straightway? I am saying this for the future of Nigeria, not for some Boko Haram leaders that have already been killed in the past. |
So we should tell China to go away with their N107 million because we will recover our billions from Bode George and OBJ and till then we should wait? Why do people just mention billion dollars as if it is moi-moi? There is no Nigerian or group of Nigerians that has $16 billion. |
The rule of law or due process is not to celebrate criminals. These people are criminals and we know they've committed offences deserving the death sentence, but do you know this Yusuf fellow? The picture of the dead skinny guy in the papers, how do you know It's Yusuf? The reason why I don't support all this is that a day will come when an innocent man will be slaughtered like this and by then nothing can be done because you all have endorsed it. Do not support injustice. Justice would have still sent Yusuf to his death but at least let's know things are done right. Simple. Couldn't they even arrange a quick trial which would have taken a couple of hours after arrest, then they carry out the sentence. There no other sentence for that kind of mayhem besides death. All we're saying is let's not celebrate the police acting outside the confines of the law. We may be under arrest tomorrow because our vehicle papers are not complete, then next thing they transport you somewhere, execute and announce to the world they just killed a notorious armed robber, when in fact they just set one free in your stead. If you don't believe this is a regular practice is Nigerian Police stations, then you're not in Naija. If you don't want it to end, then you're again, not in Naija. If you think by celebrating this extra-judicial killing, the police will kill less people without judgement rather than more, then God protect you. A quick trial and execution I'll support, but killing a captured criminal without trial even it was after 11 years it just evil. |
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, una don even chook head inside the jackey nyash. |
@isiegbe please never you compare any president in this world with Jacob Zuma. The man is the current George Bush of the planet. This is a man who raped an HIV infected woman unprotected when he was head of the anti-AIDS agency. He said he had a cold shower after to ensure he didn't get infected. Please, you can't compare him to even Robert Mugabe or Mubutu. |
Women want Men. |
Charity is the single English word that can best be used to describe love. Sometimes they are used interchangeably. Charity means giving unselfishly. Giving your time, giving your heart, giving your trust, giving your belongings, giving everything without considering. Charity defines love of all kind. Mother to child, business partners, friends. Charity is just letting go of everything for the sake of another or others. |
I don't know how to react to this. Can't place you contact details then I don't think you're serious enough. The kind of man you're looking for won't show so much desperation as to be first to post their info on this thread. If you're on Facebook, you should be able to scroll through friends of your friends and ask your friends to suggest some for you as friends. Dunno what else to say. Try to take what comes your way. It's virtually impossible for the woman you claim you are not to have anyone but you may be making yourself unapproachable. Goodluck. |

You have to find out what kind of skin type yours is. If you have oily skin, then I see no reason to be applying cream and make up to your face. Also, I don't know why you should eat so much oily foods. Once that's observed, then wash your face very regularly. I used to do that so much that even when I visit friends and my face reminds me, I have to wash. Wash especially before you sleep and when you awake. Just keep washing sha. You could have a skin that provides the perfect environment for germs to roost, in that case you'll have to attack from an extra angle. Antibiotics. |
Okay, thank you very much. I'm currently staying near a teaching hospital so I'll pay them a visit on Monday. I've been trying to lay my hands on Ivermectin for a while now, but to no avail. Thanks all the same. |

You die soon at the hands of the NPF if you continue with this your attitude. |
Pollmaster if you hadn't eaten that soup your girlfriend cooked, you would realise that yahoo boys don't withdraw money from an account before they open it and Lagosians don't rub soap on their body and go to work whether to beat traffic or your girlfriend. I'm trying to thrash out issues that may soon knock at your front door and you're making incoherent comedy out of it. |
Let's face the truth. Saharareporters and AIT are the same kind of organizations. |
I bow say the Nigerians wey dey say make country betta, wey dey cry for justice, na dem dey still celebrate injustice, backwardness and lawlessness. Do you not know that this man could have been taken to court 24 hours or less after being arrested and a judge will sentence him to death and Yuguda sign his execution then he'll be executed legally the very same day? We are not trying to appeal for long life for these terrorists, what we are saying is that due process should be followed. Those that say the USA does not have laws to deal with terrorism do not know who George Bush is or have not read the P. A. T. R. I. O. T act. Which is all the various laws against terrorism pulled together in one single context. Have you ever heard of people that are executed in police stations because they've stayed there too long, there's no more space and no one has offered to come bail them. They get executed even though their original crime was shooting pool or snooker? The police have always denied this, but now they have done it in all boldness and Nigerians are in support very soon it will become common practice for suspects and detainees to be executed publicly without trial. I hope that's the kind of country you all pray for. As for those that don't know what cold blood is, Nairaland is the wrong place for me to teach that. Go register for adult education in your locality. Even in World War II, it was never permitted to execute captives. If all those captured during the Biafran were killed, how wolf you all feel? You don't know what due process is that's why you disregard it. Just like the air we breathe, without due process, humanity would be extinct. Have you ever cooked Egusi soup and served it before shelling the melon seeds? Have you ever withdrawn money before opening the bank account? Do you apply soap to your body and go to work without washing up? If you can maintain due process in your daily lives, why shun it in the larger society? Arrange yaselves O! |
