@Kobojunkie why you wan come do yourself like this for this thread? So you don't know an agreement is a contract? If you say I'm anti-west, then I'm sure you believe Canada is in the East. |
It is only wild Animals in the bush that will say they didn't know from day 1 that AIT was a scam. Why do you think Kehinde Ogunbe and Dayo Adeneye could go there and get their own piece of the private cake with no complaints. Or have you people forgotten that at one point AIT started begging Nigerians to contribute money for it in order to stay alive? Why do you think members of staff of AIT keep dying here and there? The IPO Raymond put out fetched him a lot of money and he pocketed most of it claiming that he had to recoup some of the investment he had put into the company. Is that what he wrote to share holders in the brochure that he would use the money for? AIT is one of the few companies that I know is being run like a government parastatal. AIT is a complete sham. DAARSAT is an even bigger fraud. |
It's not the Hausa tsiya? How did you know I was referring to the Hausa tsiya? Is it the indonesian tsiya? Okay tell me which tsiya you want to bring upon us all. Just go sell your story to a band of Al Majiris and quickly distribute some catapults, daggers, bottles, bows and arrows, then send them to their death. Or did you not know that these are the weapons that Boko Haram armed their members with and sent them to their timely deaths. You want to say PDP this, ANPP that, Yuguda here and Yar'Adua there. But does an innocent party draw first blood? If It's all political, then why did Boko Haram decide to get physical? It is sad that these two men, after being captured, were executed, but don't come in here and try to use that sympathy as an avenue for propaganda. |
@Tsiya I have been dealing with Nairalanders for half a decade now, and I can tell you one thing about them, they are very critical, analytical and intelligent people. Sometimes they may carry wrong views, but they argue them out with valid points and logic. You can't sell this street corner cock and bull story about PDP and ANPP in here at all. You're preaching to the wrong crowd. Meanwhile, I know what your username means and I know that's the kind of name a member of Boko Haram would bear: TSIYA! |
@Tudor I don't doubt you that our 'cut and paste' journalists can do some crazy things with their pens, but if the police says It's A and the journalists say It's Z, then I believe It's X or Y. |
CP Haruna is a bloody liar! He's just trying to alarm the whole of Nigeria into supporting their wanton executions. What if they were people escaping the violence? While under "interrogation" from the Nigerian Police, those men would have confessed that they assassinated JFK! |
Does Uztaz Yusuf have CRUDE OIL in his backyard? Have you forgotten what the Rwandan Hutu General told some representatives of the United Nations security council? "We don't have crude oil, we don't have diamonds. You're not going to come here and save any lives". |
This is very serious O! Are these people not suspects anymore? What is the use of arresting them then going ahead to execute them? No! This is terrible. What is the use of a criminal or suspect surrendering to the police? If this is how it was done in Angola, would the Nigerian Government see Henry Okah that they are releasing now? The next time a policeman asks me to go to the station, will I not resist arrest? Will I not make it a "kill or be killed" affair? This is criminal. Yusuf himself was displayed to the press immediately he was arrested with no injuries on him. Where did this their gun battle take place whereby his body became riddled with bullets. Now they've killed this Boji fellow and claimed responsibility for his execution, tomorrow just read about it. You will hear them say he was killed during another shoot out. Why would they even tie his hands? What happened to handcuffs? Ah! NPF, you people are useless. Why should they even carry an arrested criminal to the office of a state governor? What in the name of God is all this? Abi the governor has his own private prison or cell in the state house? I don tire O! I don tire for una matter. |
I know there are various versions of the Bible all over the place with slight differences and others even with more obvious differences between them. Having personally read the Bible myself, I came across the verses at the tail end of the Bible were are stern warning was issued to all as regards modifications made to God's message to mankind. Why then are we having all these different Bibles. I believe for anyone to re-write the Bible, they must have read the Bible and seen the verses where God mentions that they leave his word just the way It is. I heard of this Bible By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (PhD) much earlier but refused to agree to it. However, I was completely disillusioned when I saw the man clad in academic regalia presenting this book to his followers in celebration. He also mentioned other ADDITIONAL books that he had included in his own version of the Bible. I just want to know if this is okay and I'm just the only one making a mountain of a molehill. |
The most corrupt public officers are the Ministers and CBN Governors, followed by the local government Chairmen, and state Governors. |
E be like say dem wan to tell us another story again O! |
Skin itches at the point of sandfly or blackfly bites. Then the swelling form and last for months and leaves black spots that remain for years. In most people, it just itches for a couple of days and that's it. Now, in the long run, I'm beginning to notice blurred vision, my eyes itch sometimes, and there's a general feeling of foreign objects in the eye. Dryness of the eye, redness. I haven't gone for any check up recently cos first off, I'm absolutely broke and my hospital is quite expensive. Secondly, I'm really pissed cos the first dermatologist that checked me up only offered costmetic solutions. |
See, anybody that is against this should go out after the schools have been built and burn them to the ground. Then you will know what Boko Haram has been through. Some people ask why "contract"? You think China will come here to build free schools without Government approval in writing? Or there will be no contract given to executive the project? This is what you do to avoid future bureaucratic bottlenecks. |
Samoks247 I was just reasoning that at midnight of the 30th September, we should all switch out our lights till the March ends. Just thinking sha. Call your neighbours, family, and friends to switch off their lights on the night of September the 30th. Something symbolic to signify a last call to the cause. |
Exactly. Very complex issues you have. |
@asha80 I try my best to express myself in the simplest form of the most understood language in the world. I can't explain why you don't understand what am talking about. The government should provide the environment for your parents to get rich? Find any of your neighbours that can afford the necessities of life and ask them whether it was the Ghanaian government that provided the environment for them. Are you telling me that you already convinced yourself that you have a right to be poor? |
I don't know why people are irate about this. USA and EU pledge billions of dollars every year, yet you cannot point to a single thing these people have done besides riding their jeeps all over the place. People think N25 million is too expensive to build a school, but ask yourself how much a residential house is in Nigeria. I'm reasoning that N107 is too small coming from China to Nigeria, but the truth is that I want to see real projects. REAL! Not this capacity development of billions of dollars that never has any effect. One thing you can be sure of, just like Japan came here and built VOM a world class cold room, so China will build us world class classrooms and you won't hear complaints about corruption and all that because all the USA and EU do is make political pledges and give excuses when they can't fulfil. I have often said it that the only way Africa can be freed from the chains of slavery of the Oyibo is when China and India rise. Then we have an option of whom to deal with and both will try to outdo each other for our sake. China is doing well, if there's any country that feels It's not good enough, let them do theirs and we'll choose which is better. Con those years appealling and soliciting for aid that never comes must end. In fact, soliciting for aid of any kind must stop. Any nation that wants to carry out projects should do. We'll decide if It's acceptable. Abeg let us too be courted. It's not for us to be running around all the time. |
And Waziri is what? |
Seriously, these propagandists should have simply skipped the shakespearean eulogy at least to make this lie more realistic. Imagine Obasanjo and Danjuma having such a discussion. Fajuyi was a great man, but let's not overpaint it. |
Abeg, I don tire sef. Out of that money Nigeria is going to loan Sao Tome and Principe $10 million. Forming big boy, when nothing dey. |
Y'all should give the man a break. He's talking about what he believes should he in Africa not what is. From listening to Yar'Adua most recent speeches, I believe the man is not considering a second term in office. But It's up to us to make sure that lobbyists don't convince him otherwise. Yar'Adua is actually lost in running Nigeria and he knows it. He can't wait for his tenure to expire. I'm really sorry for the guy sha. But really this Niger president should wake up. We don't want negative influences around us. |
The USA is now mixing its capitalism with socialist ideologies. A nation cannot bailout firms without knowing that that amounts to socialism or communism. Even the anti-trust laws shows there's a limit to capitalism. A mixture is the best thing. But you have to take the good from the different systems and cast away the bad. |
Even an ordinary borehole, I've not seen them construct there USAID people. Scholarships, I've not seen. Roads, no! All they do is claim they use billions of dollars to talk. Britain will organise lectures to teach us how to be Africans as if they themselves are more African, later they'll claim that aid has been consumed by corruption. Even the prison they say they want to build, where is it? Please, let's appreciate help that comes from a friend that is going through what we're experiencing and dealing with us as a friend to a friend, not people that use master-slave relationship to lie all around. When Yar'Adua net them the last time, he made it clear that all their billions of dollars promises were a fantasy and they had no answer to that. Yet they want to make us lobby them for what doesn't exist. Please let's embrace true friends and the real help they offer. |
We keep idealizing all the time: 30% for Education, 50% for Niger Delta, 20% for health, then what of power, transport, jobs, security, housing, subsidies, foreign reserves, civil servant salaries, NTA and debt management? What about the other states of the federation? What about the Federation account? All these should not be budgeted for? What about our embassies abroad? We can't afford 30% for Education alone, not that we don't wish it. You people keep talking about Federal Government all the time, but what about your parents. In civilized countries, parents start saving for their children's education right from birth. Here we seek charity. You should be looking to your parents for school fees not Government, unless you weren't brought into this world on purpose. |
The other day, Japan came and built a cold room for vaccines, now China is building four schools at less than $1 million. These are the things we should praise. The kind of friendship we should appreciate. The USA and EU keep pledging Billions of Dollars every year, yet there is not a single thing you can point to and say that was by USAID. They claim all sorts of intangible stuff so that they can recycle the money back to their country and claim that one of the corrupt leaders of Africa has pocketed it. There are 3 countries I appreciate their kind of aid because there are no conditions, no political undertones, just "here! Take cos you need it". That's Canada, Japan and China. |
In as much as I hate the NPF for this extra-judicial killing and all others they've been carrying out, I don't think we should start a long and expensive investigation of this matter. No setting up of panel of enquiry or all that other crap that will take months and millions of Naira just to tell us he was wrongfully killed. This is where Onovo should start the good work we expect of him. All police personnell in the particular station he was killed should be fired and those actually involved in his assassination should be tried and jailed. But not right now O! Anything to punish mistakes made by the police at this period could make police personnel quite reluctant or confused as to what to do when these terrorists strike again. This is a very wrong time to dissuade members of the police force from taking action or make them herritant in dealing with another uprise. So I think the matter should be overlooked for now, till maybe next year when the coast is clear and Boko Haram has completely dispersed. I hardly see anything much to investigate since the culprits are not denying anything. Just set a date to deal with the crime. However, now is not the time. |
Still available, Price negotiable. Keep the mails coming. |
do you smoke?! |
Don't tell me there are no real doctors in here. Everywhere I go, It's malaria and typhoid doctors and midwives. Once someone mentions anything outside of that, silence. |
@Babygurl19 Even Obama said that with the amount of loans the USA keeps borrowing from China, they have no moral justification or confidence to challenge China on how it makes the money. You seem to have forgotten the embarrassment Nigeria went through because of debt. The USA has no plan to pay back a large chunk of its debt. The only country that will be bold enough to demand payment back with stern words is China. In the case of Nigeria, even Cameroun can come to harass us. There was no need saying off our foreign debt in the first place when we knew we would re-borrow it. This is madness. |
You mean a shoot-in. |
