Atiku is a Nigerian 100%. But that isn't the argument doofus!

Is a Nigerian by birth is the question.

Yes he is a Nigerian by birth because he was born in Jada in 1946,Jada happens to be a mandate called British Cameroons under the the British colonial Nigerian government as Jada was governed from Lagos.

Mr know-it-all. Why do they need a referendum to join Nigeria if they have always been part of Nigeria?

In British Cameroons the major question was whether to remain with the colony Nigeria or to unite with the newly independent Republic of Cameroon because Nigeria was yet to be an independent state In a UN-supervised plebiscite in February 1961, the south decided to unite with the former French Cameroun, creating the Federal Republic of Cameroon. The north voted to join the Federation of Nigeria.

In other words French Cameroon gained independence to Cameroon in Jan 1960 before British Cameroon to Nigeria in Oct 1960 therefore indigenous people of British Cameroons had a right to choose if they wanted to continue as a British colony or would rather join a newly formed Cameroon because they had an agreement under a treaty called League of mandate nations.

It is a very good thing that for the first time since Independence, this is the first time this matter will be challenged in court. OBJ complained severally about Atiku on Bakassi and other sketchy undertones about his roots. Now it can be legally resolve.

Here are some of the already unraveled truths:
1. Atiku's hometown Jada in Ganye was in Northern Cameroon.
2. This area was never part of Nigeria until the February 1961 plebiscite when they voted to join Nigeria.
3. The Nigeria's constitution specifically stated a candidate for President must be natural born Nigerian.
4. Atiku was not born a Nigerian.

Atiku and the PDP cannot just wave this aside. The court up till Supreme Court will have to make pronouncement on this matter. An Alien can't just come and rule Nigeria.

Atiku wants to go to court right, he can remain there. grin

Here are my questions for you,

(1)There was no such country as Cameroon until 1960,Atiku was born in Jada in 1946,how then can we claim Atiku was from a, country that was not on the world map when he was born, or should we just conclude that he was stateless at birth?

(2)If this area was not part of Nigeria as at 1961 how come Cameroonians are now voting to join Nigeria if yes what would be the reason for a country to vote to join another country entirely, does it make any sense to u?

(3)What is your definition of born in Nigeria,Atiku grandfather is said to be from Sokoto and he was born in Jada before the existence of Cameroon?

(4)If Atiku was not born in Nigeria kindly highlight the, name of the country he was born?

Read what I responded to and see if it made any sense.

If they were part of Nigeria at independent, why was referendum conducted again in 1961?if it was part of Nigeria why does it need to be called British cameroun? Why not just Nigeria? I think you need a crash course in logic. You don't make any sense. Besides, you are the only one saying this even premium times just corroborated it.

Premium times is wrong and u can take that to the bank, prior to 1914 Jada was southern Nigerian protectorate,by 1916 during the 1st World War British Forces waged war against against the German colony of Kamerun and took over thus all of Kamerun became a British colony under Nigeria, in 1922 the French and British decided to to split their colonies French Cameroun and British Cameroons,British Cameroons was also a British colony under Nigeria.

In 1960 Jan French Cameroon gained independence while the colony of Nigeria and British Cameroons was to gain Independence in Oct, what would then happen to British Cameroons, therefore they decided to allow indigenous people of British Cameroons who would rather prefer allegiance to the new country Cameroon than be under the British Nigeria colony to vote in the spirit of fairness and equity.

So to answer your question Jada was never a territory or colony of present day Cameroon and has been a Nigerian territory as at Oct 1 1960.

I hope I have made myself clear?

What are you saying? Cameroun became independent in 1956. Just like Nigeria became independent in 1960. But before becoming independent, there has always been Nigeria. There's been cameroun before 1956.

Unfortunately there was no Nigeria before 1954,what we had was a colony and protectorate of Nigeria and it's a totally different entity from Nigeria because it has a, different flag, coat of arms and national anthem from present day Nigeria subsequently there was also no Cameroun until 1956 and it was formerly called French cameroun which is also a totally different entity from present day Cameroon as it had a totally different flag, coat of arms and national anthem,i hope I have my myself clear

I can see you understand the use of grammar but I'm also amazed at the same time that you lack comprehensive ability

The fact that his citizenship was not contested when atiku served as a vp or custom head does not mean that it can't be contested now.

Anyone contesting for the number one seat must be A NIGERIAN BORN.

Did you catch That? Atiku at the time of his birth was not A NIGERIAN BORN and the fact that the part of cameroun was latter merged to Nigeria does not cancel the fact that at the time of his birth, he was born a Camerounian.

I have read stupid posts from funny people on this thread who think it is a comical case but it is not.

Even Obasanjo and Atiku know this is a strong case against him.

Unfortunately you don't have any ability what so ever than to take whatever your paymasters say as the gospel truth since u have decided to be clowns and useful idiots.

Jada was never a part of Cameroon,Jada was formally a British Cameroons mandate under the colony of Nigeria,it has never been or ever will be Cameroonian territory so as its people,it had always been an, undisputed Nigerian territory and it's visible to the bling and audible to the deaf.

It is totally beyond me that a political party is making a futile attempt to rewrite the history on Nigeria while dunderheads like u act as cheerleaders.

Your parent wasted money on your education. You are the only one in History that says that Jada was a protectorate of Nigeria.

I just they laugh at you with my colleagues here.

even at that, being a protectorate doesnt make you part of the country else, we are all british citizens being under their protectorate

With all due respect you and your colleagues have no business having a job for now as your are obviously incompetent to hold any responsible position in life yet as u obviously need to go back to your books because u guys still have a long way to go.

Jada was a British Cameroons mandate which falls under the colony and protectorate of Nigeria,no part of British Cameroons has ever been French and no part of French Cameroun has ever been British, subsequently Jada is and has always been Nigerian territory and there has never been any controversy about it ever between Nigeria and Cameron since 1922 when the British Cameroons was mandated, your paymasters have decided to make as illogical controversy and u took it as the gospel truth since y'all have decided to be useful idiots anyway.

Unfortunately been a, protectorate in loose terms mean that the territory is been protected and under the control of the colony in this case Nigeria so its 100% Nigerian soil and I never called it British protectorate so your comparism been British citizens is illogical,is it your eyes that is paining you or your brain or both.

he was born in British Cameroon thus technically not Nigerian

Fulani soldiers founded the Adamawa Emirate in the north in the 19th century, and various ethnic groups of the west and northwest established powerful chiefdoms and fondoms. Cameroon became a German colony in 1884 known as Kamerun.

After World War I, the territory was divided between France and the United Kingdom as League of Nations mandates. The Union des Populations du Cameroun (UPC) political party advocated independence, but was outlawed by France in the 1950s, leading to the Bamileke War fought between French and UPC militant forces until early 1971. In 1960, the French-administered part of Cameroon became independent as the Republic of Cameroun under President Ahmadou Ahidjo. The southern part of British Cameroons federated with it in 1961 to form the Federal Republic of Cameroon

Oh then can we then say he was born a citizen of British Cameroons,if your answer is yes then there is no such entity as British Cameroon as it was only a British mandate which falls under the colony and protectorate of Nigeria as British Cameroons was governed from Lagos.

The same way the Northern protectorate and southern protectorate formed the colony of Nigeria in 1914.

It's now left to you to prove to Britain that British Cameroon was a separate colony from the colony and protectorate of Nigeria.

For the brainless IPOB miscreants here, who have been going about doing copy and paste from God knows where about APC's reply to Atiku Petition.

Let me school you a bit here:

1. Atiku is a Citizen of Nigeria.

2. Nobody is contesting his Citizenship and that of his Jada People of Adamawa.

3. What are the ways one can become a citizen of Nigeria?
a) BY BIRTH
B) BY REGISTRATION
C) BY REFERENDUM
D) BY NATURALIZATION

4) Out of above methods, it is only a person who becomes a CITIZEN By BIRTH Is Qualified To Contest for the Office Of The President.

5. Can Atiku and His Jada Cameroon vote and be voted for? Yes because they are Citizens of Nigeria by Referendum.

6) Can they ( Atiku and Jada Brothers) contest and be voted for up to the post of the Vice Presidency? YES because the Constitution paved way for them?

7. The question is: Did Atiku fulfill the Constitutional requirements to contest for the post of the president?

8 . The Answer is what the APC wants the Appeal court to determine, because one of the requirements is that you MUST A Citizen By BIRTH To Qualify.

9. That you are citizen of Nigeria by other means such as Referendum, Naturalization, Registration etc can only take you the office of the Vice President and not that of the President according to the 1999 Constitution we operate.

What is hard here to understand?

Indeed, you could be a Nigerian but not meet the educational requirement.

In another case, you could be a Nigerian, yet you weren't at birth, which debars you from being President.

Atiku grandfather is said to hail from Sokoto

There was no entity as Nigeria when he was born same with Buhari

Nigeria because a full Republic in 1963 same year Adamawa became a part of Nigeria

Going by their analogy Buhari is as well a citizen of the Northern Nigeria protectorate and not fit to be the president of Nigeria.
