Politics / Re: Why Jakande And Tinubu Didn’t Get Along by Neyomickey1: 5:56pm On Feb 13, 2021
The write up, I think is all about the writer’s imagination. Every writer find ways to demean Tinubu and push up the numbers of their readers. Can the writer mentioned any Awo’s ardent followers that is still close to Jakande. Tinubu and his disciples are the only ones that are close to Jakande, which always displease the labelled Awo’s true followers. Did the writer ever wonder why Baba Jakande is in APC and the other Awo’s are flaunting for PDP? At Baba Jakande’s 90th birthday, can the writer mentioned who is proud to celebrate with him among the so called Awoist? I believed the picture below will do justice to the question

Awa Kwara are proud of our achievements in Lagos. Go to Isale Agbede, Surulere, Yaba, Oyingbo our trade mark of being industrious are stamped everywhere. Educationally we are there, check our students in Unilag and LASU. We are not thugs or destroyers. Proudly Igbomina, reason we are celebrating Baba Oni Jakande lati Omu Aran, Igbomina.

In as much I concur with the aforementioned listed of achievement of Igbomina/Omu Aran/Kwara people in Lagos, you technically didn’t mention the contribution of Ganiyu Oyedepo alias Koko Zaria ( a popular NURTW member in Lagos).

Tinubu didn’t make Sunday rich. Igboho has been Baba Adedibu’s boy before transferring to Ladoja and Oyinlola. Even Seyi Makinde used his ‘service ‘ during the last Oyo election and also, Sunday is one of Seyi’s entourage during the last Kogi election before trailer pass through them.

My point exactly from the onset, it can be amended by federal ( national)legislative and not state( local).

Very apt because NURTW is not only represented in Lagos but all across Nigeria and have headquarter in Abuja. The reform need to come from above and enforce locally.

I've been saying this for so long. NURTW breeds criminals. Most of the core criminals in Lagos have their roots in NURTW. Lagos state that used to be classy in the 70s and 80s has turned to a hub of criminals. Great Isale Eko is now a shadow of itself. The real Lagosians must wake and not allow Tinubu to finish that state. Ibadan is far safer than Lagos after Seyi Makinde clamped the wings of those guys.
Lagos Govt can give train them and give them jobs. Maybe become BRT drivers or upcoming Lagos light-rail drivers.

Stop being economical with the truth, Ajimobi was the one that ban the activities of NURTW in Oyo state. Internet doesn’t forget , see below https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2011/06/ajimobi-bans-nurtw-as-fresh-crisis-erupts-in-oyo/amp/

After thinking of the over 200 million worth of alcohol destroyed in Northern Nigeria. I began to think about the negative impact of imported religion in Northern Nigeria.

Whichever way you see it, the south is still benefiting from Religion. The religious centers in the south have no direct hold on the political structure of the south but still benefits the people both directly or indirectly through tourism, job creation, education and even healthcare services.

Imagine, over 30 private varsities in Nigeria were birthed by Churches. They are not free but generate jobs and lessen burden on govt universities.

UBA has 12000 staff. Imagine a church recruiting 10,200 Pastors who would be paid monthly irregardless of the income generated from these branches. That would touch at least an extended 50,000 people in their families. I have a friend who had no job for a while now and has been employed by the church as a pastor. Being paid for doing what he loves. Congrats to all of them.

10,200 pastors/ personnel employed in a Covid year where major conglomerates all around the world are laying off their labour workforce.

Who is decieving Fayemi?! Guy wey go vanish into political oblivion in 2022 a year before general election

Idiot hid CaCovid palliative as a Governor with his Nigerian Governors forum, he hid FG palliative , still took FG to court to strike out police reform act, because they want to spend 0.5% on Police

Fayemi and State Governors must first demonstrate their ability to handle devolution of power by stopping encroachment of Local Government fund, and by not collecting 300 to 700 million Naira monthly security votes

.
Good question regarding the autonomy of local governments. It seems there is dictatorship at every level of government. Governors are asking for restructuring, which I support wholly but should show example by giving autonomy to local governments and stop taking their allocation in exchange for peanuts.

I did not see JJC promote APC anywhere in dt conversation.

Funke Akindele was also right to have been arrested. She threw a party during lockdown. So just because she campaigned for APC, she shouldnt face the law? You call it betrayal.
If she wasnt arrested isnt dt itself criminal padi padi government?

I dont know what nigerians are really fighting for. You guys should stop conflagrating issues. Not everything should be put in a box for insult.

And no, im also not an APC supporter.

The only wrong I see in this conversation is dt JJC should never have responded to the picture. Everyone has a right to praise any politician they like.

very apt...so if you support me during campaign and disobey the law, I should look the other way cus I don’t understand what we actually want.

I am sorry but it is beginning to have political and tribal undertones. As much as I don't want to believe that our brothers from the East and some gullible Yorubas are instigating the burning down of what makes Lagos grow economically,I will advise that they stop forthwith.A word is enough for the wise. You will blame yourself for not yielding to this warning..

I don’t think we need Afenifere input in the ongoing rescue of our nation. Afenifere are part of the generation that put us in this mess. We don’t want people that put us in this mess , to use us to achieve their personal aim. This struggle is not only about this present government but it is for generational change and against political elite.

Music/Radio / Re: Top Afro (juju) And Highlife Musicians In Nigeria by Neyomickey1: 8:37pm On Sep 26, 2020
The OP did a good job but the musicians are from different genres of music. Afrobeat is quite different from Highlife and also from Juju. Piling them together didn’t really do justice to the topic and their music. If you separate them, you will able to accommodate more top performers for each genre such as Kayode Fashola, Baba Eto, Dele Abiodun etc for Juju, Oriental brothers, Bright Chimezie, e.t.c for High life.

Sometimes it's better to keep quiet than insisting on talking and spewing out balderdash. The so-called counter-narrative Reno, alias Wendell Simlin is trying to narrate here makes no sense to someone like me. Starting from the last, Wendell Simlin, aren't you aware, that Maina was arrested today? When they went to the Ikoyi location of the billions you are talking about, which party's insignia were found together with the billions? PDP of course...

His submission that the military are using equipment bought by Shagari is an indictment on the government that he served under. It literally means that the previous government didn’t equipped the military during their tenure.

Politics / Re: Should Rauf Aregbesola Be Minister Of Education? by Neyomickey1: 9:31am On Jul 24, 2019
I think he will be more productive as a minister of works judging from his performance as a commissioner of work in Lagos and infrastructural development in Osun state. Education sector is too sensitive for Aregbesola, though he build good schools in Osun state but he is always quick to mix religion with his secular work thereby causing a lot of hullabaloo and confusion. I don’t think we need that in Nigeria education sector but give it to him , he is a workaholic and one of the finest breed from southwest.

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan is in Akure to commiserate with Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti over the killing of his daughter, Funke Olakunri.

Okay.ng learnt that he was accompanied by the Secretary to the Ondo state, ifedayo Abegunde and other top government functionaries.

I really appreciate the visit of Jonathan and other leaders regarding Mrs Olakunrin’s death . I don’t want to sound insensitive but I am just perturbed about where are all this people when other families are losing their loved ones to this animals. Is it that some lives are more precious than others or is a case if it doesn’t affect anyone within our social stratus, the top echelon of the society, who cares. Or has it turn to a political thing? Police will move swiftly with fire brigades approach to apprehend the culprits, if they haven’t already, but who is going to fight for the “no name” in the society, when are we going to arrest those who have caused them agony, pain and sorrow. All lives matter...

Politics / Re: Osinbajo, Fayemi, Abubakar, Others Celebrate Osoba At His 80th Birthday (Photos) by Neyomickey1: 8:47pm On Jul 08, 2019
Posterity will always judge us..Osoba did his best during his tenure, 1999-2003, as governor of Ogun state by opening up the rural areas through construction of roads, electrification and providing waters for the village. He did this to reduce mass migration to major cities and also for easy movements of farm products from farm to market. He have his shortcomings as human but Osoba leadership for AC,ACN and APC while in opposition can not be wave aside.
Also,Osoba can not be view with microscopic lens of politics only while we forget his impact in journalism, where he actually made a giant stride.
Wishing Aremo Akinrogun Olusegun Osoba happy 80th birthday.. igba Odun , Odun kan ni..

I think Osun state will be an ideal place due to the serenity nature of the state and loads of cultural places you can visit. There is Erin ijesa waterfall/resort, Osun oshogbo sacred grove ( UNESCO world heritage centre), ADA golf resort, Ile Ife (Oranmiyan Staff, National museum and Oni Palace), Nike Art gallery and many more in Osun state . Also, there is an easy access from Osun to Ekiti to check Ikogosi water spring or to Ondo, to visit idanre hill. The aforementioned are the ones I know due to my hobbies, traveling and photography, and I believe there are other good places in the state that I haven’t discover yet. I don’t think you can get it wrong with Osun state.
