Na wa o, what has makeup and high heels got to do with being upright?Abeg the school authorities should focus on more important issue instead of introducing guidelines that will end up breeding hypocrites.

Law, architecture, finance could be other options.

It seems you're tired of engineering.
we have what they call "time to market deadline" whenever we are in this phase you can't help but feel the pressure because the entire business depends on meeting this deadline. Not always like this though, do architectect really have job opportunities here? I am not sure of architecture but finance and law are good option.

Yvete: Haba! Your opinion of us is a bit too extreme... don't you think?

Anyways, I have nothing against akata or Non-Nigerians. I have in-laws that are Ethiopian, Polish, etc. I understand your position and you're not entirely wrong, but women need comfort. The likely issue could be that Nigerian ladies want to see a man fully established (career, pay, etc) and are less likely to be helpers which is a horrible thing. But Nigerian ladies in the US are always complaining of lack of husbands. Have you asked yourself why you're not meeting the good ones? Don't rush it yet because you never know who you gonna meet next. I've got 3 brothers in Houston. Last year, my older brother married a Nigerian lady. That shocked all of us because my brothers don't even associate with Nigerians. She's an amazing lady! Be patient! Are your standards too high? grin smiley cheesy
first let me say i've met just a few naija girls here , less than five and only one impressed me and she's even engaged to a naija guy in Texas.About Nigerian girls in usa complaining of lack of husband, hmmn I don't know about that, I have 3 seniors friends that school in the east coast where there are considerable large number of nigerians yet they all went back to nigeria to marry and brought their wives to the US, I did not asked them why they have to go all the way nigeria but why did all my 3 senior friend in texas, maryland and michigan had to go all the way to nigeria to get a wife? So better ask your fellow nigerian girls here why naija men here are not finding them attractive enough for marriage grin grin

hehehehehee cheesy
yvete let me tell u a story that will touch u and you'll agree why so many naija babe have messed up. Remeber the story about my EX right? How she left and was supported by her parent that she wants to get married and I wasn't ready. I thought she was even married now, apparently the bad guy gave her a ring and dumped her afterward, she's still single and can you imagine the mum called my dad to inform that my Ex has a junior sister, apparently more beautiful than she is and if I'm interested grin grin grin grin grin They realize their mistake and now want to eat their cake and have it, i still feel sorry for her though because such decision like marriage should not be taken likely because i never had any intention of dumping her and if she had wait a little long just for 'one more year" she could have gotten everything she thought she was missing.

Yvete:

Seems like we've lost you already .... so you have given up on us (Nigerian women)? Quite sad!
yvete the reason I made this comment is because I went to nigeria in december, I have a lot of good friends from college that are very honest, hardworking and fears God , they all desire a woman in their lives and these friends are very godly and handsome however most of them cannot boast of girlfriend much more wife.In Nigeria it seem u're only entitle to woman after you've gotten a job or money, among my godly friends that married they all found their nigerian wife after they got a job, no woman for you if you haven't made it smiley So in my life, I have seen more godly Nigerian men than women, the women seems to be no where when you're still struggling but appears in droves once you've start making money. My point is that a man struggling needs a woman too, a woman that can help me , give him emotional support and also finantial support if they can until the man is able to stand on his feet. That the way my mum is, she is independent and we would have gone hungry if my dad had married the present day kind of Nigerian women.

#yvete and her likes are exempt from the term "nigerian women" used by nice4life

grin *cough coughs* Did you import a bride from Russia or you found the 'light' in akata? There should be good Nigerian ladies in California. Y'all not patient with us. cheesy
Not like that, I used to have this mind set about akata but now I decided to see them in the same light with naija babe, with my open mind I found an equally open mind akata and to be honest she has exceeded my expectation the past few weeks we started dating. She's very hardworking like my mum, respects me and has solid plan for her future though I'm not sure yet if want to marry akat but she just might change my mind with time. smiley
Family / Re: Quality Nigerian Husbands Will Be Scarce By 2023 - Women Group by nice4life: 12:29am On Aug 03, 2013
I think we should be more worried about scarcity of wife among Nigerian women, I mean we need more wife material than husband material smiley A good woman(not man) build her house but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hand, today's naija girls don't even know how to compliment a man, most are just chasing shadows , we have more responsible men than we have for women in Nigeria.Nigerian men should lament and it shouldn't be the women, in summary a good woman builds her home and that's irrespective of the kind of man she marries how she does it I don't know but quality women strives in every situation.
Romance / Re: Why Are Some Men In Their Late 30s And Upward Single? by nice4life: 7:42am On Aug 02, 2013
marriage doesn't have time or season, it should happen the time you find the right partner, everyone need a partner and you'll definitely achieve more in life with the right partner. The problem is men/women are looking for marriage instead of partner, a partner will add value to your life any day any time.my 2 kobo!

Confused
I meant to say the fear of those things has held a brother down for sometime now, but come to think of it why would a woman want to leave a man that treat her well assuming she's not under a spell?? So it is safe to say that the man holds the key, treat her well and she'll stay with you forever no matter where she is from. smiley
