Yvete: My TV is relatively new. I bought it in January, but unfortunately it doesn't come with netflix. I'll go get a cable at Bestbuy to see if the squeaky noise drops. I delivered your message to baby girl. smiley
you can either buy another cable or buy something that will make you turn your tv to a smart tv like Roku, NetGear etc depending on your budget.
Thanks for delivering my message to my baby smiley

Yvete: Thanks for the quick response. The sound is coming from the TV. I called my younger brother to find out if it has always been like this and he said no. He uses the same cable with PS3 & his laptop too. My laptop didn't come with a cable. How do I know if my TV has in-built netflix?

Mamacita is not feeling too well. I thought you guys are aware. My bad! sad
depends on how old your Tv, but most most smart tv(tv's u can use to browse the internet via wifi)has inbuilt app like netflix, hulu etc. You can also watch netflix via xbox/ps3 confirm with your brother.

please what is her condition now? hope she's responding well? knew something is wrong , tell her i'm praying for her and she's alright in Christ name.Amen

Yvete: Guys, I need help. When I connect my hdmi cable to my HP laptop, it makes a sqeaky sound every 3-4 minutes or so that distracts me from the movie. Soo soo annoying! I pulled the cable off my samsung surround sound system, is it too strong for my laptop or my laptop is too weak for my TV? Do I need to change to a HP cable?

@ Uncle-Nice : I watched House of Cards throughout yesterday. Its a neflix series. Check it out.
is the sound coming from the laptop or the tv? Can you try the HP cable lets see how it goes?
I do not use the hdmi cable because my tv has the netflix app(smart tv) so I may not know if this is a common problem.
Usually not a fan of series movie but since yvete has spoken I'm gonna check out House of Cards sure its gonna be a good watch smiley

Its not my fault ma, I copied from my Igbo brothers who love beautiful and well behaved women.Chei an average Igbo guy doesn't play with beauty and character, they search for them from every tribe in Nigeria, they took most of our women to their land through marriage. I saw this while growing up, so I said to myself "I am going to marry pretty Igbo girl with a good character". I see this as a great achievement because I knew the manner of men I'll be competing with. Now I feel very fulfilled achieving my childhood dream.Oya make una praise God with me, I am a winner grin grin

obadiah777: PSALMS WAS WRITTEN BY KING DAVID wink wink AND I AINT NO MAN OF GOD. I JUST BE BIBLE READER cheesy
Okay, I correct you now, the book of psalms was not written by king David, its a collections of prayers, supplications and songs by different prophet of God. psalm 90 and 91 are the prayers of Moses. Before you read any chapter of psalm check the author, its is usually at the beginning. smiley
Politics / Re: Cecilia Ibru Turns Evangelist, Relocates To Her Village by nice4life: 2:38pm On May 28, 2013
obadiah777: THAT NA THE LAMENTATIONS OF KING DAVID AND THE NUMBER OF YEARS ISRAEL BEING DEY AVERAGE BECAUSE OF HEAVY TRIBULATION AT THAT POINT IN TIME. THE POINT HERE IS UNDER HEAVY TRIBULATION YOU WILL AVERAGE 70 YEARS, WHICH IS EVIDENT IN OUR TRIBULATION LADEN WORLD TODAY. BUT WITH NO TRIBULATION EVERYONE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO REACH 120. THATS WHY IN THE VILLAGE WITH PEACEFUL LIFE YOU CAN HIT YOUR POTENTIAL OF 120. IN THE CITY UNDER MUCH AGRO AND STRESS YOU WILL AVERAGE 70 - 80. READ THE WHOLE PSALMS 90 VERSE. ITS TRIBULATION PERIOD wink wink
Hmmn, man of God are you sure about psalm 90 being David's lamentation? According to biblical scholar and history psalm 90 and 91 were the prayers of Moses smiley

obadiah777: BUT YOU DO ERR. GENESIS 6 VS 3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. <<< 120 YEARS
Oga no be only you know scripture grin grin
PSALM 90 VS 10 "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." <<< 70years smiley

Yvete: For months, the H-1B visa manages to annoy everyone. A close friend (Chem. Eng) was sponsored this year for a H-1B visa and unfortunately, he wasn't selected in the lottery. His OPT expires in August and out of annoyance he considered pivoting to Canada until this; the revised senate immigration bill.

The original bill would increase H-1B Visa and "high-tech" green card, and give their spouses work authorization That's a plus. The amended bill extended more favorites:
• The revised bill raises the annual H-1B cap from 65,000 to 115,000(a 5000 increase). The annual escalator increases from 10,000 to 20,000 if occupational unemployment for the management, professional and related occupations is below 4.5%(which has been below 4% in recent years).

If the President could sign the bill into law as it is before the end of fiscal year 2013(Sep 30, 2013), we might have 50,000-75,000 new H1B Visa available starting October 1, 2013(fights still ahead).Sounds good -Start job-hunting! grin

• Most employers will not be required to offer a job to an equally or better qualified U.S. worker before hiring foreign workers, only "dependent firms" have to do it. Dependent firms are those with 15% or more of the workforce on visas. The bill mandates the H-1B dependent employers to offer minimum of Level II wage and banning Level I wage.

• A new "intending immigrant" provision excludes the number of H-1B and L-1 employees who have started the green card process from counting the total number of H-1B and L-1 employees for the determination of "dependent firms". This provision will certainly encourage employers to file large number of employment based green card petitions for their employees to avoid the title of "dependent firms"!

The best part of the original bill is a 60-day transition period for H-1B workers to change jobs. An employer can no longer kick a worker out of the country by firing them and workers who wish to renew their visas no longer have to leave the country. Foreign workers can finally make their own employment decisions without worrying too much about the legal status! Amen!

Seems like we're heading nice somewhere with this! One good thing has always been that the wait for permanent residency isn't frustratingly long for Nigerians unlike Indians, Chinese, etc. ( Few companies are willing to do this, however, because it means you can then find work elsewhere without obtaining a new H-visa.)

H1B is now like OPT with 60 days grace period, that`s really cool.
