Romance › Re: Why Guys Should Stop Complaining About Ladies Going After Readymade Men by Niceiroko: 9:56am On Sep 24, 2015 |
Bcux r priveledge to hv little cash u dnt tink well again abi humilitypays: I am very aware that what I am about to write will not go down well with many readers on this forum, but then, the truth must be told.
In as much as I do not support single ladies being too forward about money and material things, I do not support a single guy going into a relationship when he has not found his direction in life; more especially nowadays that increase in population has made it very difficult for young people to find job after school.
I will be making reference to the Holy Bible to back up my stand, but before then, let's take a look at some of the disadvantages of a guy going into a committed relationship when he is still struggling:
1. He gets distracted: women are emotional creatures that require lots of emotional attention to satisfy, so for a guy who's still struggling financially, keeping a committed relationship will most likely distract him from chasing his life dreams.
2. Financial waste: no matter what you think or say, keeping a girlfriend cost money, especially nowadays that technology has taken over the world.
Buying call cards to say hi to her, buying gifts for her on special occasions, taking her out for dates, and other frivolous spending cost money which the guy can invest on himself to acquire ICT skill/certification, etc.
I won't bore you guys with too many points, so let me jump straight to the Bible backing.
During the process of creation as narrated in the book of Genesis, the world was without form, nothing existed and God created heaven and earth, sea, oceans, forests, trees, animals and every other thing on earth.
And God looked at the earth and saw its beauty, and decided to create the first human.
Please I want you guys to pay close attention to the preceding paragraphs of this write-up.
When God decided to create human being, God didn't create man and woman the same day, instead God first created man- Adam.
Adam lived alone for long, moving around the earth (Garden of Eden), taking care of the animals, trees, fishes, etc and God saw that He was lonely and needed company and helper, and God decided to create Eve to keep Adam company and to also be his helper.
The moment Adam woke up and saw Eve, he fell in love with Eve without waiting for many years to develop love, and Eve also fell in love with him without having to screen him to know how much he's worth and what he has to offer her.
Note 1: there's true love at first sight, don't doubt it or condemn it, its real!
My point:
God first created Adam, and Adam had virtually everything he needed to survive- shelter (whether under tree or whatever), food, etc before God brought him a wife!
So to the single guys reading this, please pray to God to bless your daily life activities so that you can succeed first before getting a woman, and you know why?
1. Woman is not the most important thing to a man, his work (goal in life) is.
Give a poor man the most beautiful woman who truly loves him, I bet you guys the man will run abandon the woman lol
2. A man feels more good in a relationship when he is financially stable than when he is financially broke!
3. No matter how rich a man's girlfriend/wife is, the man will never feel satisfied with the woman until he himself is financially stable too.
4. The true behaviour of a man can only be known when he is financially okay, and not when he is broke!
5. Naturally, by default, every woman desires to be with a man who is more financially capable than her.
This is one major reason Oprah Winfrey never married. Same reason Linda Ikeji, Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Domnic, Agbani Darego, Rihanna, etc are all single secretly searching for that guy that has more money and fame to come make their dream come true.
Don't ever think guys aren't proposing to the aforementioned ladies because I can bet my nairaland username that thousands of suitors who may not be as rich and popular as them are asking them out on daily basis.
So guys stop nagging and attacking the ladies; ladies aren't the problem, our common enemies are the past and present politicians who ruined our national economy, leaving the youths helpless and jobless!
It is the politicians that we youths should hate and attack for embezzling our common national wealth for their personal use.
We need to pray for a better Nigeria with many great job opportunities for the youths, and we must also condemn giving better jobs to females who do not qualify to the detriment of guys with better qualification.
Lastly, ladies please I am not encouraging going after already made guys only, please give all guys equal chance of friendship because that broke guy today maybe the next Forbe's billionaire tomorrow, so always pray for God's direction and do use your wisdom! |
Politics › Re: Saraki’s Trial: PDP Plots To Pick Senate President by Niceiroko: 9:41am On Sep 24, 2015 |
We dnt hv a country akinzeb: Barely 24 hours after the arraignment of Senate President Bukola Saraki, some of his loyalists and Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) senators are planning to fight back, The Nation has learnt.
They are said to be working on a plan which will lead to the election of a new Senate President from the opposition party, should Saraki be convicted by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) – the “worst case scenario”.
Security agencies already know about the plot, it was learnt.
Besides, there were signs yesterday that pro-Saraki senators may have “laid an ambush” for President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list, which is being expected at the Senate “any moment from now”.
They may reject the list and all appointments made so far by the President in protest against Saraki’s trial, a source said.
But the Presidency is unruffled.
A source, who spoke in confidence, said last night: “Some loyalists of Saraki and PDP senators have been meeting on the options available and how to tackle President Muhammadu Buhari.
“At the meeting in Abuja, they resolved to stand by Saraki but if he is convicted, they will make sure that the next president of the Senate is from the PDP.
“They are really aggrieved and have vowed to stop the candidate of the Unity Forum, Sen. Ahmed Lawan, from emerging as Saraki’s successor.
“From the way PDP and its senators are rallying around Saraki, no one needs a soothsayer to know that a bigger conspiracy is in the offing.
“The PDP has not come to terms with the fact that it lost the last general elections.”
Part of the plot is to reject Buhari’s ministerial list and all appointments so far made by the President, it was learnt.
These appointments include those of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigerian Customs Service(NCS) and Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), among others.
The source went on: “They know that the President will not present imposed candidates as ministerial nominees and they are out for a pound of flesh as from September 29 because the Code of Conduct Bureau( CCB) dragged the President of the Senate to the Code of Conduct Tribunal(CCT)”
It was gathered that security agencies have smashed the plot.
A government source said: “The whole plot is aimed at frustrating the President and cause a political crisis in the country.
“They have this feeling that they must pull down the house due to the arraignment of Saraki by CCT. In spite of denial, they are pointing accusing fingers at the Presidency for Saraki’s travails.”
Attempts to make loyalists of tHouse of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara, to pitch their tent with Saraki appear to have suffered a setback.
It was learnt that although Saraki backed Dogara to become the Speaker, the “template has changed”.
Dogara and his loyalists would prefer to “facilitate reconciliation between the Presidency and the Senate leadership than taking sides”.
A Dogara supporter said: “There is pressure on our camp to take a hard line position on the trial of Saraki but we will rather broker peace than compound the situation.
“We are not betraying anyone but we believe the challenge at hand is resolvable. If we compound the situation to team up against the Presidency, we will all fail.
“To take sides is to set the House on fire all over. This will not augur well for the new National Assembly.”

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Experience Recruiting From Nairaland. Shocking. by Niceiroko: 2:12pm On Sep 17, 2015 |
Stop insulting us, we have done all of that and we are ask these days to make the cover letter brief and checking of mails and skils are there we have the ability and skills ,is just that whay you need was not what you see . databoy247: Recently, i decided to conduct an interview and select some candidates who might be working with my organization. Currently we are trying to expand our operations and see how we can get new leads and probably close more deals. And from my survey, there are hundreds and possibly thousands of unemployed graduates here in Nairaland so i decided to concentrate on recruiting from here.
Now because of the nature of the job and also with a view in cutting cost around physical recruitment exercise, I decided to conduct the whole process online.
567 applications where received. I had to employ the services an outside consultant to help with the process which i also fully participated. Below are my shocking experiences with job seekers in this forum. I pray they read this and improve on themselves.
1. CV and cover letter. I remember explicitly asking for their CV and cover letter to be forwarded to a particular email address. A huge percentage of the applicants just sent an empty email with their CV as an attachment. Not even an application letter. In case you dont know, a very quick assessment can be done on you by just reading your application or cover letter. You don't just attach your CV and forward to an email address without a cover letter. It means you are not serious and you may NEVER get called for an interview.
2. Many do not even know what they are applying for. For an example you are asked to apply for an administrative position. The subject of your email should not be "My CV". This is so annoying and disgusting. Those that manage to write a cover letter do not even make reference to the job position they are applying for.
3. Lack of communication skills. Now it is not enough to have a degree, you must learn to communicate. I sent out a pre-interview questionnaire to selected candidates and i just couldn't believe what i saw. So many job seekers do not know how to communicate and speak simple and clear English language. If you want to stand a better chance in job haunting, learn how to communicate.
4. Words abbreviations This is a very big problem. Social medial is good but i think it's now becoming a major problem. With the use of BBM, whatsapp, Facebook chat, etc, Nigerians are now addicted to abbreviating words. You see things like 'u', 'k', 'comin', etc. And in case you dont know it, this can cause a very big problem for you. A lot of candidates get disqualified because of this. Learn to write properly when communicating with someone. Stop being in a hurry to pass along your message.
5. Checking of emails. As a job seeker, you should always check your emails. Recruiters dont just send text messages, they also send emails. I did not screen alot of people because they did not check their emails to see if any information has been passed to them. You must always be on the look out. Dont submit your applications and go relaxing.
These are some of the experiences i had recruiting here. Out of 567 applications, i could not pick up to 20 candidates as a result of all these. Sometimes, i begin to wonder if the problem is lack of jobs or laxity on the part of the applicants because i am so shocked and surprised that our graduates are this way.

Politics › Re: Rivers Guber: More Facebook Postings Expose Okoye’s Membership Of APC by Niceiroko: 2:22pm On Sep 16, 2015 |
The bomb shall come and we will get the matter DONSMITH123: More Facebook postings of the embattled INEC staff, Charles Okoye, who is allegedly on the payroll of the Rivers State APC have further linked him to being a member of the opposition party in Rivers State and under the sponsorship of the party to lie under oath.
It will be recalled that Charles Okoye was directly subpoenaed by the Rivers State APC and was at the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal to tender a personally authored report which he recanted upon cross examination.
In new Facebook postings of Charles Okoye obtained online, the embattled INEC staff who is allegedly on the payroll of former governor Rotimi Amaechi indicated that he is available for financial rewards and bribes.
On August 6, 2015, posting on Facebook, Charles Okoye wrote: “I have taken a sabbatical from Facebook and refrained from making posts on the current condition of the country because am not being paid yet by the APC. When I am paid, I will do that”.
On August 6, Charles Okoye posted: “Our party promised Nigerians change. ..”
While on August 28, 2015 Charles Okoye took to Facebook to praise his paymaster, Former Governor Amaechi .
He wrote: “However, you look at it, Amaechi is part of this government. Even if he is not, have you considered that if Jonathan had won Amaechi would have been a dead man”.
The compromised INEC staff who was personally subpoenaed by the Rivers State APC to give questionable testimony on the governorship election has already been disowned by INEC as a fraud.
Immediate past Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has since deployed his vast illegally acquired wealth to sponsor Security operatives, few compromised INEC staff and a section of the media to distort facts about the happenings at the Rivers State Tribunal.
Amaechi is said to have misappropriated over N3 trillion that accrued to Rivers State in his eight years of misgovernance, alleged thievery and unbridled looting of state facilities. It is alleged that these resources are now being used to compromise agencies of state and their tainted officials.
