LekinsRibirth:
I'm currently on a crossroad and I really need your cordial insights on this issue.
I graduated two years ago and I'm currently 25years old and God has been extremely so good to me.
I was recently able to secure a job in a multinational firm and I receive a very good pay.
I've been able to put a lot of things in order and I feel I'm ready to settle down.
I proposed marriage to my girlfriend who is currently 23 and she accepted. our families have been friends even before we were born. myself and her grew up together and we are literally best friends( we've officially been dating for the past 4years).
I've stated my intentions to my parents and hers but they both disagreed .They said we're too young to start a family and we should wait for a minimum of 4 to 5 years .
I'll be travelling out of the country next year with my company to start an off-shore business unit and I planned to get married to her by December and take her along with me.
I really don't know what to do as my family has become my enemy in this issue.
They threatened not to give me their blessings and never to accept money from me if I go ahead with my plans.
If what u just wrote here is all there is to the matter, then i will advice you to go ahead and marry that girl. You can't satisfy or please everyone at the same time. Your parents cannot decide how u run your life because you are a full grown man who has decided to make a life decision for himself. I tell u, my wish is to get married at 25 and i sincerely hope that happens. So far u have a steady job with more than enough to cater for a family don't mind anyone who tries to tell u otherwise.

Lool.

I saw the picture perfectly. The guy's eyes were fixated on those sloppy tatas like he's about to buss a nut (who knows if he did? Lool).

I dunno but I don't get down like that. It's always better when you maintain eye contact with Chics and not look at them in a sexual way. With that, you won't make them feel uncomfortable or give them the notion that you just wanna let the mutombo swim in their ocean.
Hehehe. I don't think i can keep my eyes off o. Walahi if this girl carry this kind boobs near me for club. She don enter be that. cheesy cheesy

Someone give that nyggah a pum to fvck - it's obvious he doesn't get none. Effing pervert lol.

Darn! A lot of guys need to learn how to comport themselves and control their eyes when dealing with ladies.
It's very obvious u didn't have a good look at the pix
From what i can see they were in a club and the gal is dancing and whining in front of him ( look at his hand going slightly behind her back) . So it's not as if he's just some random guy staring at a girl .
Besides, if u were in a club digging it out with a girl who is crazy enough to put on that dress with those luscious boobs almost spilling out right in front of you, won't you be mesmerized at least? wink

LaurelP:
Fact is that boys get molested more frequently than girls. But no one gets to hear about it, because according to them, boys "enjoy it". Now tell me how a 6 year old boy wud enjoy molestation.

The laws are against the boy child, no one gets to know, even if they know, no one gets to talk. Even if they talk, no one listens because its a boy, not a girl.
I have memories also. But no point sharing them, lets continue to hope that people wud come to their senses and speak out on this issue, cos its still happening till date.
U got it spot on. The law is rather loopsided. Just take a look at section 362 & 363 of the criminal code. If u watched the movie knock knock u'll understand it. Imagine where a guy is deemed to have committed a crime when he gets involved with a girl less than 16 even with her own consent. Whereas there is no such protection 4 the male child. Instead men are presumed to be natural sexual predators and never imagined to be victims. It's unbelievable! That's why i keep a safe distance from all these secondary school girls around in my neigbourhood. Some are very endowed in the right regions and pose serious temptations attimes but i ain't ready for issues.

I have come across this moniker before on this forum, and I remember it from only the bad reasons. what I asked was simple, why the insensitivity on your part ?. why the rudeness ?. would you reply me like this if I had met you in person ?. people even felt your reply was appropriate, am surprised. my sister saw this and was pissed I ask that question here.
you can edit your " dead and gone person" phrase from your post. the deceased is OUR mum actually. hope you learn really.
Rip to ur mum. It's sad the way people talk on this forum like as if they are going to remain invisible forever. As for that moniker i have a very good guess that he's a final year law student of uniben. It's obvious he takes great relish in insulting other people he can't stand up to in real life. So if u like, whatever ur name is keep running ur mouth. Abii u will graduate next year? Na to find hot peppery water pour for ur eyes sure pass. grin grin grin
Education › Re: While Trump And Hillary Debated I Wept For Our Universities by nickvanilla(m):
I'M on the same page with u bro.
I'm a student and to be frank sometimes i just sit back and wish i had the opportunity to school overseas in a 'university' because unfortunately what we have in nigeria falls short of that term. Rather we have compounds where garbage in, garbage out is the order of the day and what else? U look around and see delapidated, overcrowded lecture rooms filled with dust, heat and filth. A sad, grotesque reflection of just how denigrated the Nigerian society has become. Then u go to the hostels and the sight there is alarming - where up to 25 students will be cramped up in a small room like they're pigs or some worthless piece of s***. In that little room, they have to live, engage in culinary activities et al. And it's that bad because i've been there.

One may ask, why don't things change? Well, i've come to understand that nigerians see what is wrong but are also afraid to change it. Yea that's right! We're all afraid to speak up(including me) That is why a unilag student some few weeks ago was suspended for daring to challenge the status quo and some commenters here on Nl were condemning him.

Well i guess we're stuck here untill something quick happens
Who can be our mandela?

Romance › ABSTINENCE - The Most Avoided Cliche by nickvanilla(op): 8:11pm On Sep 23, 2016
Oftentimes, man is confronted with the urge - the 'rush' as i like to call it. The primal desire to engage in white-hot pulsating ecstacy and quench our immediate thirst for sexual proclivity. And if it turns out that the milieu is quite tempting, why not satisfy the urge without much ado afterall, the popular saying goes, "body no be firewood". It is not a suprise to see the result few weeks later when the boy cries out, "oh my God! she said she's pregnant". So begins the embarassing visits from the girl's parents wanting to know when the boy is going to claim responsibility. All because the boy and his sex partner chose to embrace the 'rush' rather than apply commonsense. But why the rush anyway when there are over a thousand and one ways to prevent conception or perharps could it be that the prices of condoms nowadays are too expensive for the common man? I hardly think so. As an anonymous commenter once said ,"Sometimes it's difficult to understand why people don't use contraceptives, but i later got to understand, young adults are very sexually active, you get a pack of condom for 50NGN then after 4 rounds of sex in like 2 hours it gets exhausted.
After some hours, they want to go for some more rounds, and the pharmacy/chemist store is far away". While this seems logical enough, it doesn't tell the whole story. Rather, most girls today prefer to engage in unprotected sex because it suits them that way. They hate the use of condoms as they see it as a barrier cutting them off from experiencing pleasure in it's purest form. This behavioural trend has invariably produced countless pregnant, unmarried young girls that we see all around us in society. Regrettably, on a daily basis we keep churning out young kids who are going to live outside the matrimonial home which is the basic institution of society. Studies have shown over the years that kids who are given birth to outside wedlock make the bulk of criminals and deviants in society. We need to curb this growing menance with absolute immediacy else we may bear the consequences in the long run. Before you dive in to pop-open the cookie jar pls think carefully.
ABSTINENCE IS STILL THE BEST WAY.

Well i think that the problem with marriage nowadays is not disssociated from the complexity of the modern age, society, lifestyle etc. But one think people fail to understand is that marriage requires sacrifice that is, letting go of some of urself in order to join ur spouse and become one. I know this sounds crazy but it is the truth. If for example u were an extreme introvert u may have to let go of it and become cheerful, and open at the very least. And if u're the type that loves going to nightclubs u may have to change ur lifestyle to keep ur marriage sound. If u love that person u should be willing to change some parts of urself to make things work. If people don't evolve character wise in marriage then it becomes difficult to keep it together.

Now back to ur question, i will say it is a very big NO for me, many people co-habit all around us and it has become an all too familiar situation. However, it must be discouraged. We're creating a lot of homes where the kids are going to wake up one day and discover that the person they call mum is just their dad's babymama and that they aren't bound by any vows or commitment thingy and this ain't good really.
