A petrol marketer and father of five, Wasiu Badmus, on Wednesday expressed regrets that he allowed his wife, Suliyat, to go into politics because she had now allegedly become a prostitute. Mr Badmus lamented the development while responding to his wife’s accusation of threat to life before the President, Mapo Customary Court, Ibadan, Ademola Odunade, saying that since he permitted his wife to join a political party, she became wayward. Mr Badmus said he warned Suliyat when she indicated interest in joining a political party in Ibadan that men usually had romantic affairs with female politicians, but that he allowed her because he trusted her then. “As soon as Suliyat began to attend rallies and political meetings, I started hearing negative stories of how she was laying about with men. “Precisely, on February 28, I saw a top male politician in the community returning her at 11.30 p.m., and I was sad. “Since that time, the earliest time she came home was midnight and she stopped taking instructions from me. Not too long after, vigilantes alerted me around 2.00 a.m. that that same top politician just dropped her as usual, and I saw them together. “I then reported her to an elderly politician in the neighbourhood, who promised to intervene, but her attitude even worsened. “Moreover, I overheard Suliyat in a mobile phone conversation, booking an appointment with a man about their meeting point and time,” he said. According to the man, he checked the wife’s phone when she was not around to get the top politician’s number, and called him. “Later, Suliyat attacked me that I was threatening her before she reported me at the police station,” Mr Badmus said. He noted that the police investigated the matter and were surprised to know that she had been unfaithful to him. Crime › From the Archive: The Life & Times Of Colombian Drug Lord, Pablo Escobar(photos) by nickxtra(op): 12:52pm On Aug 06, 2019 |
Pablo Escobar is one man whose name can never be omitted in the history books of crime. Pablo Escobar, a Colombian drug lord, was a son of a farmer before he became the most successful criminal on earth. During his days, he was responsible for about 80% of all cocaine purchased around the entire world, he made the substance reach places no one else could. He was the leader of Medellin Cartel and his drug empire was bigger than his country's government. With a net worth of $30 billion, Escobar was the wealthiest man on earth during his time. On today's History Files, we sum up the life of Pablo Escobar with 10 facts about him. 1) In 1980's Escobar offered to pay off his country's total debt of 15 million dollars only if he would be given immunity. Colombian government, however, rejected the offer even though they needed it. 2) Escobar was responsible for the death of over 4,000 people which included a minister of justuce, more than 200 judges and more than 1,000 policemen. 3) He was also a philanthropist. He built stadiums, schools, hospitals and churches for the poor. Average Colombians loved him because of his charitable works and they nicknamed him 'Robin Hood.' 4) Escobar spent around $2,500 (N900,000) every month on rubber bands to hold all his money. 5) He encountered difficulties transporting loads of cash he made each day. To solve this problem, he bought Learjet to hold up to 100 million dollars. Because he couldn't store his cash in the bank, he lost 2.1 billion dollars each year due to rats eating it and water damage. 6) While his family was on the run, his daughter became hypothermatic, to keep his daughter warm, Escobar burned 2 million dollars. 7) Escobar smuggled about 15 tons of cocaine per day by stashing the cocaine into old plane tires. Sometimes, he soaked cloths with liquid cocaine and extracted it later. He paid around 500,000 dollars to pilots per day to transport his cocaine. At a point, he started smuggling with a remote-controlled submarine. 9) In 1991, Escobar offered to turn himself in to the authorities only if he would be allowed to build his own prison. The Colombian officials agreed and Escobar built a luxurious prison which he named 'The Cathedral'. The prison had a soccer field, a nightclub, a casino, a waterfall, computers and telephones. 10) While serving jail term at 'his prison,' Escobar killed two of his fellow inmates and the prison officials decided to move him to another prison. He broke out of jail before he could be transfered in 1991. The Colombian government in collaboration with the U.S. officials launched a manhunt. In December 1993, his hide out was discovered and Colombian forces stormed the building few days after he celebrated his 44th birthday. He was fatally shot while trying to escape through the roof. Many poor people he helped when he was alive mourned his death. About 25,000 people were present for his burial. Source: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=680524615720268&id=423708301401902

stephanie11: BUA Cement Chairman And Billionaire, Abdulsamad Rabiu Turns 59 Today
Abdul Samad Rabiu is a foremost industrialist, billionaire businessman, philanthropist and the Founder/Executive Chairman of BUA Group – a company which he founded in 1988 and has become one of Nigeria’s largest privately owned foods, mining and infrastructure conglomerate with diversified investments spanning across key business sectors of the Nigerian economy.

With a firmly established reputation for innovation, BUA Group is one of the largest contributors to Nigeria’s GDP and among its largest employers of labour.
At a young age and armed with a degree in Economics, Abdul Samad returned to Nigeria from the United States and joined the family business, the IRS Group, until 1988 when he set up BUA Group to engage in importing and trading in major commodities like rice, edible oils, flour and also, iron and steel rods. He later ventured into steel, billets and iron ore importation and supplying multiple rolling mills in Nigeria.Few years down the line, BUA acquired Nigerian Oil Mills Limited in 2001 which was at the time, the largest edible oil processing company in Nigeria. He was later to set up 2 flour milling plants in Lagos and Kano in 2005. By 2008, BUA, under Abdul Samad’s astute leadership, commissioned the second largest sugar refinery in sub-saharan Africa.
He then went on the acquire a controlling stake in the publicly listed Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (Sokoto Cement) in 2009 and commenced the construction of the over $1billion cement manufacturing complex in Obu-Okpella, Edo State which was commissioned in 2017. Furthermore, Abdul Samad in July 2018 commissioned the US$350 million Kalambaina Cement Plant in Sokoto State with a capacity of 1.5million metric per annual to improve cement export to neighbouring countries as well as contribute to the economy’s GDP.
In December 2018, CCNN and Kalambaina Cement Company merged their operations in a $1.1bn transaction that was the largest of its kind in Nigeria that year.Recent investments by the company include the $300 million, 20,000hectare BUA Lasuco Sugar Estate project in Lafiagi, Kwara State as part of the Nigerian Government’s Backward Integration Policy for the Sugar Industry and the BUA Rice Mill in Kano State which is the largest rice mill in Nigeria amongst others. He also started the construction of a new 3 million metric tonnes Cement plant in Sokoto state and has completed a new sugar Refinery in Port Harcourt making BUA the only company in Nigeria with a sugar Refinery outside Lagos.A former Chairman of Tropical Continental Bank from 1993 to 2000 and current Chairman of the publicly listed Cement Company of Northern Nigeria, Abdul Samad’s ever-expanding conglomerate boasts of several subsidiaries. Today, the BUA Group has been nurtured from a relatively small company in 1988 to a world-class conglomerate.
These are in addition to heavy portfolio investments in key sectors of the Nigerian economy. In addition to his economic contributions, Abdul Samad Rabiu, through the BUA Foundation, has also contributed immensely to various philanthropic and social development activities in various areas such as education, sports, and healthcare; with the ongoing development of a N7.5 billion 200-bed specialist hospital in Kano State.
As a testimony to hard work and an indefatigable entrepreneurial spirit, Abdul Samad Rabiu is a two-time Chairman of Nigeria’s Bank of Industry Board of Directors. He also sits on the board of several companies and financial institutions.
A recipient of many awards including the 2016 African Industrialist of the Year Award by the All Africa Business Leaders Awards, Abdul Samad Rabiu holds the prestigious Nigerian National Honour of Commander of the Order of Niger (CON). Romance › Nollywood: Pictures Of Cossy Orjiakor's Sex Scene With Dog Surfaces (photos) by nickxtra(op): 11:19am On Aug 03, 2019 |
The producer of the movie “ Itohan” in which Nollywood actress, Cossy Ojiakor was alleged to have had sex with a dog in one of the scenes has been found by Potpourri. Mr Lucky Ewah, the producer spoke to Potpourri on phone and explained what actually happened in the film shot some years ago. A video purportedly surfaced on YouTube showing Cossy Ojiakor in a sex scene with a dog after a defunct magazine, Enquirer owned by Tunde Moshood had made a mince meal of the scene in one of the publications of the magazine, alleging in plain words that actress, Cossy Ojiakor actually had sex with a dog with robust pictures to back it up. From 2002 till date, the producer of the movie “Itohan” has been incommunicado and nowhere to be seen until Potpourri tracked him down and had him speak on the role of Cossy Ojiakor in the movie. The movie “Itohan” was shot in 2002 and uploaded on YouTube in 2009 after the magazine, Enquirer owned by Tunde Moshood made a publication about Cossy Ojiakor having sex with a dog just about the time the movie was being shot. It was 17 years ago and all the drama associated with the saga appeared to have been rested for good until Cossy opened the old wounds again in an Instagram post on her page two weeks ago. It all started with a picture post by Uche Ogbodo on Instagram, showing Halima Abubakar and three other actresses. Cossy had reacted to the picture, calling Halima a snake that betrayed her. She then went ahead to paint the picture of how Halima Abubakar leaked the pictures from the movie “Itohan” to Tunde Moshood, publisher of the then Enquirer, whom she also described as Halima’s boyfriend. “ We were roommates at the time and she had access to my things. I got a picture from the location camera guy on some of the scenes from the film. Halima stole the pictures and gave his boyfriend who twisted the story to sell his magazine,” she said in a private chat with Potpourri.Read full details and twists on the matter at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/08/cossy-ojiakors-sex-with-dog-saga-unraveled-as-movie-producer-speaks/

Politics › President Buhari Directs Gov. Obaseki To Issue New Proclamation Of State Assembl by nickxtra(op): 7:23am On Jul 29, 2019 |
PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly directed Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State to issue a fresh proclamation for inauguration of the state House of Assembly. This came as Edo State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, weekend, rubbished claims that Governor Obaseki was at loggerheads with his predecessor and National Chairman of the party, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, over control of the state and leadership tussle in Edo State House of Assembly. Edo State APC chairman, Mr Anselm Ojezua, who made the disclosure during an interactive session with newsmen in Lagos, blamed the crisis on the deceptive nature of players in the state’s political space. Meanwhile, sources disclosed to Vanguard, weekend, Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, who is a member of the committee set up by President Buhari to resolve Edo State crisis, declared the stand of the president at the first re-conciliatory meeting of the group in Abuja, last week. The committee, headed by Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, has el-Rufai and business magnate, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, as members. Both the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, and Governor Obaseki are members of the committee. The initial meeting of the committee, presided over by Fayemi, was held at Ekiti House, Abuja. A source said el-Rufai informed the meeting as they commenced that he had information from President Buhari. He hinted: “The Kaduna State governor told the meeting that President Buhari wants Obaseki to issue a fresh proclamation for re-inauguration of the House of Assembly, and that anybody interested in the speaker’s position should contest it. Obaseki’s position “Governor Obaseki interjected, saying he thought they were looking for peace, but having seen the handwriting on the wall, even before the meeting, he said he would want to appeal to Oshiomhole for a situation where the self-worth of both sides would be accommodated in the final resolution.’’ Vanguard learned that the governor argued that if the present speaker, Mr Frank Okiye, would be sacrificed, then Oshiomhole should also shift grounds on his preferred candidate, Mr Victor Edoror, for a neutral person, Mr Emmanuel Okoduwa. It was learned that el-Rufai demanded to know what Obaseki meant by accommodating the interests of both sides, saying if the governor wants anybody in the new dispensation as speaker, he should ask him to lobby his colleagues and he (Obaseki) should also lobby the lawmakers for him. The Kaduna governor, according to the source, made reference to the recent inauguration of the National Assembly, where the president and the party settled for the incumbent Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, while Senator Mohammed Ndume insisted on his rights to contest, with everybody lobbying the senators-elect. HigherEd: Winners’ Chapel Plants 3,000 Rural Churches
by Leke Beecroft
*To plant 2,000 more before year end. *Bishop Oyedepo leads others in aggressive street evangelism. Plus: *Brief History of Church Growth in the Commission.
Plans by the Bishop Oyedepo led Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel International to plant 5,000 rural churches in 2019 is fast gaining traction. Latest reports have it that 3,000 rural churches have been planted in Nigeria during the first half of 2019 as stated by Bishop Oyedepo recently. The Church has also ordained evangelists to administer these churches this bring the number of church branches in Nigeria to well over 8,000 with well over 1,000 churches in over 65 nations across the globe. Presently, a neighboring country already has over 174 church branches apart from other countries in Africa and in 4 other continents namely Europe, Asia, North America and South America. Online coverage during the annual Shiloh Program also reaches over 170 countries every December. The Church intends to establish 2,000 more rural churches in Nigeria before the end of the year and many more outside Nigeria also.
Bishop Oyedepo has also continued his usual street evangelism on an almost daily basis since May 2015 when he heard a diving marching order : I THE GOD OF WONDER DOUBLE, I AM VISITING YOU: this indicating that God had come to double the Church many times over. Often times, he has successfully invited people on the street to church at an average over 1,000 weekly while helping them to meet basic needs; often people have been invited in their thousands leading to over 200,000 worshippers being invited personally and in person from the streets by the Bishop since the new move began. His deputy, Bishop Abioye has also followed suit in this street evangelism revival. Church members all over the world have also carried this vision and this has led to an exponential growth of the Church globally.
Living Faith World Outreach Centre or Living Faith Church Worldwide has had a history of consistent growth through evangelism. The Commission led by Bishop David Oyedepo began as a ministry in 1981 but started as a Church when the Church arm was commissioned on September 17, 1983 by Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
According to records, the Church started with 4 members in December 1983 and this grew to 21 early in 1984. By May 1984 it became 57. At this point, the leaders of the church used markers to write on cardboards and pasted on strategic noticeboards and trees within Kaduna metropolis inviting people to the one bedroom apartment in Unguwar Sarki. At that point, David Oyedepo usually parked his Volkswagen at the filling station by the junction leading to his street to take the few who were available to his home for services. By May 1985, the number had grown to 263 leading to the building of a ‘grass cathedral’ to accommodate the growing crowd. It grew to 743 then 1293 in May 1986 and May 1987 respectively. The Church by divine direction spread from April 24, 1987 to 5 towns namely Maiduguri, Biu, Bauchi, Azare and Mubi. By May 88 and May 89, the Kaduna Church grew from 2062 to 2693. The first major auditorium of the Church , the 4,000 capacity Garden of Faith, Barnawa was announced in 1989. A few months later, the Church began in Lagos while the Kaduna church had grown to 3428 in attendance by May 1990. The Garden of Faith was dedicated in December 1995.
The move to Lagos began a new phase of the ministry. The church moved to the Iyana Ipaja area which was not a popular place to start church in Lagos. This area was a group of brothels on the Raji Obi street. Raji Oba was popular in the 70s after being killed leading to a celebrated murder case at the Supreme Court. The Lagos Church started with 250 worshippers at 1A, New Era Road and then moved about 150 meters to the Raji Oba location. At this point, the Lagos Church became known as Winners’ Chapel which has since become the popular name of the Church. Pastor Simeon Afolabi who is now of the Revival People’s Church, Port Harcourt, Nigeria was the First Pastor of the Church before David Oyedepo ordained Bishop a year earlier by Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory soon took over. The Church witnessed tremendous growth over the next free years. From May 1993 to May 1995, she increased from 2785 to 5410 and 13489. The Church complex was completed by December 1995 and dedicated by Benson Idahosa.
In 1994, Bishop Oyedepo received divine instruction ‘The harvest of Africa is now overripe, Rush in and preserve it from decadence’. This led to the move to establish a foothold in African nations.
May 1996-1999 witnessed an increase from 21283 to 28306, then 29634 to 40682. The Church began the Canaanland project by September 1998 and by the following year September 1999, a week before the move to Ota, the numbers had reached an excess of 50,000.
At inception of Faith Tabernacle, Bishop Oyedepo declared, ‘The Tabernacle has been built, the Tabernacle must be filled.
Many including Christians and some church members who soon left thought the move to Canaanland Ota, a town actually in a neighboring state and about 40km away from the capital of Lagos was an erroneous move which would lead to the decline of the Church. The ministry received the vision ‘Mission To the World’ in August 2001 and consequently reached out to other continents of the world.
In Nigeria, starting from Lagos, the numbers grew due to the power of the word being preached and despite the distance from the City, the church in Ota witnessed 80,000 in attendance by October 2000. The growth remained stable for a while and by January 2007 the second service began in the 50,000 capacity church auditorium. January 2008 and 2009 heralded the third and fourth services and fir a while a fifth service. Overflows were soon built to cater for an additional 52,000 overflow facility thus totalling 102,000 seated comfortably at any point in time apart from Shiloh period.
The Church had 700 churches by November 2009 before growing to 5,600 by November 2013.
The present move however is a unique one which has brought multitudes to the Kingdom while ensuring the growth of a Kingdom Army. As the church prepares to move to Faith Theatre very soon, she continues to spread on all sides, in Church growth, Church spread as well as church attendance in leaps and bounds ensuring that the Church plays her part towards the establishment of a glorious Army that will herald the coming of the Lord.
Acts 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.

Arabiandude: Oga stop posting rumors and what you know nothing about here. Yeah he is married to Obaseki sis but that did nothing to him been nominated for a ministerial position. He is solely nominated and a candidate of Oshiomole and not obaseki. The 2 ministers that are nominated from Edo state Obaseki has no hand in any of them. Do you even think Obaseki who is a Bini will nominate someone from Edo North for a ministerial position when there are lot of binis to chose from? Just recently Obaseki also complained that his reason for fighting himself and oshiomole is because him Obaseki doesn’t have a say at the federal level. According to him all federal appointments from Edo state are from Oshiomole, and this includes Clem Agba. On a lighter note, in 2011 I told whoever cared to listen then that Prince Clem Agba who was the commissioner of environment will go places, same with Prince Kazeem Afegbua, but sadly Kazeem Afugbua for reasons best knows to him choose to tour the path of PDP after serving Oshiomole both as spokesperson and as commissioner for information in Oshiomole second term...though I know he decamped to PDP after oshiomole 2nd term as a spy for oshiomole but it seems already late for him to return after the 2019 election were done and won. Before I forget, you remember oshiomole commissioner for works during his first tenure? Architect Francis Eghomwan... he also would go places if he hasn’t already joined the camp of Obaseki, mark this day about this guy Thumbs up!!! |

Talknochip: He probably was born and raised there.. And his parents might still be there. Wusasa is an area in Zaria with christian of various background and languages as the predominant residents. May God Almighty comfort his family and loved ones IJN. May his Soul RIP I know of Wusasa as a predominantly Christian enclave in Zaria. Atleast, my elder sister has been married and lived there for over 25 years now, whom I normally visit. I also understand the fact that the late corper has a background root upthere, but it is so coincidentally out of place for him to be buried in Zaria, considering how he was killed and the parties involved - Shites have Zaria as their base home in Nigeria. |
