Good day mamas.
Please which of the listed do you think is a better option of milk for a year old; Nido Milk, Peak Milk or Dano , all full cream.

I don't feel like going the route of 1,2,3 milk stuff.

Your expert guides will be appreciated.
Thank you.

My dear I am still on it o..No date yet..I recently initiated a feedback on my page and complained about not getting dates and my travel period being close, also asking if i could be moved to Abuja just incase Lagos is fully booked..Atleast when I checked yesterday I saw the feedback had been escalated unlike the other ones where they will just respond saying dates are the discretion of bla bla bla and cl9se it out so hopefully something comes out of this escalation

Oh, nice.

Plans can always change giving the long months between you drop box application and interview....

Hi mama.
Have you been able to pick a date for your follow up interview now?

I have joined the search o and the hourly checks are tiring.

justwise:
I don't believe that the American embassy is targeting Nigerians regarding this birthing issue, we all know what the problem is here though some are playing a blinder.

How many people here have gone for an interview, declare child birth, present burden of proof, VO was convinced and issued a visa then you traveled , gave birth and paid exactly or above that amount you presented to VO during your interview and was unable to renew that visa?

I have lost count of how many times people come here to ask for cheap hospital or birthing centre after getting a visa, if you convinced the VO that you planned to spend $10-15K and got the visa but you decided to go for cheap and cheerful option then don't expect to get that visa renewed.

I totally disagree with you on this please!
Budget is different from actual and don't you forget that the budget sheets usual include all expenses ranging from flight (for you and LO), accommodation, feeding, processing of document et al.
That aside, when did "cheap" become "fraud" all because of visa renewal if I may ask?
And what law of economics says that your budgeted and actual expenses must always agree?

Let's be objective in our analysis and call a spade a spade!

If you travel to any country on vacation or business and get discounts on goods, does that automatically make you a criminal or violator of immigration rules.

For years now, Nigerians have been travelling to India for diverse medical treatments in relatively cheap facilities (hospitals) and no hell has broken loose yet..
So what makes the case of getting cheap medical treatment in the US a crime for Nigerians if not that these are deliberate acts to discourage birth tourism?

I also hope you are aware that most of the documents/drafts of these OB packages clearly state; as a clause that if insurance is discovered on the patient's name, the contract is voided.

So what's the crime?

The attitude that some of us portray on forum like these are examples of the type of poor governance we all are complaining of in "OUR" leaders. Most of us simply cannot stand for the truth.
...Once a seemingly superior person or group of persons (especially white skinned) take a negative stand on something, what most of us do is "follow follow".

It is well.

I might not like Donald J Trump as a person but his policies are beginning to make sense...

Birth Tourism should be ended...

The program has outlived its purpose & it’s now being abused by most people...

A Child should only acquire American Citizenship at birth if at least one Parent is a U.S. Permanent Resident OR a U.S. Citizen at the time of birth...

We’re a nation of laws & cannot allow aliens to continue to advantage of "our weak immigration system..."

A total over haul of the current United States Immigration system is desperately needed...

Congress needs to act to close the obvious loopholes in our immigration system currently been abused by other Countries namely China, India & Nigeria...

Hmmmm... the "OUR" in the emboldened part of your comment above is really making me LOL if the "OUR" was achieved either by naturalization or birth.

Sanctimonious fellows all over...

“Caught” as stated above by you would mean?

I am interested in getting a better explanation of that word "caught" as well please

What happens to the time value of money as economics taught us please?
Why are we forgetting the fact that insurance payments are in installments and even in piecemeal at that?
Can we compare what can be achieved with $5000k dollars in 2016 with what same amount can get us in this 2019?
Do the VOs that are quoting $20k, $30k as average cost of medicals for child delivery take in into consideration the fact that these almighty $30k can take many years to settle?

Many questions

We are our own enemies truly.

Hello NIFES,

Though new appointments are frequently released, they also fill up quickly. The response you received indicates that there were no available dates at the time you corresponded with CGI. Please check our website regularly for new appointment dates.

Specific individuals are not blocked from rescheduling appointments. As stated above, anyone who is having difficulty scheduling an appointment for reasons other than no appointments being available will need to contact CGI directly and follow up with them to resolve their issues.

Thanks.

Hello NIFES,

If you are having difficulty scheduling a 221g appointment, please contact CGI at one of the phone numbers or email addresses listed here: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-main-contactus.asp

@USMissionNGRA,

Thanks for your response.

However, I did send mails before and no definitive answer was given. The response I got after my query is attached herein.

And while this inability to get a date for the follow up interview is still on, a few others have been able to book appointments both for fresh interviews and follow ups as per 221g refusal.

This now makes me want to ask if truly interview dates are released to applicants on individual basis and if the insinuations that the dates are deliberately blocked from some of us is correct.
Thank you.

@USMissionNGRA;
Scheduling a follow up appointment on the cgi website after 221g letter has become a problem for many now as date lists have been coming out blank without options.
For many it is running into months now that they have been trying to schedule an appointment.
I want to ask if this a deliberate act on the part of the consulate and if not the technical team managing the website should do something urgently about this problem.
Thank you.

Please guys quick response..My friend applied for visa via drop box in November but was invited for interview in December. She finally got a date for the 14th of March. The purpose of her trip is vacation/attend a wedding...A few days ago she found out she is pregnant and her interview being so close she started contacting hospitals but yet to get a correspondence given that she found out barely a week to her interview. Her purpose of visit remains valid as she still plans to go for the wedding in May but now that she is a few weeks pregnant, the story has changed...What can she do given her close interview date...

Secondly has anyone gotten date recently for interview..I am still unable to get a date o..Its been 1 month now..I have written and called but still discretion response

I hope you read the attached 221g document/letter through very well to see whether you were required to book an interview appointment or just to make some documents/information available via the DHL.
Some people said they only sent document not asked to present self for another interview.

I used John stroger 2016 and I did drop box January and I was granted with no interview..Stroger was pretty low 2016 and it gave me concern and I also foolishly collected milk cos I didn’t know it was illegal..thought it was once, this also gave me concern.i asked a friend of mine to go to d Wic office and ask if I could pay for the baby milk I collected then..they said it had nothing to do with immigration ,travel bla bla .i accepted in good faith.
I didn’t apply for drop box with my hubby ,I wanted him to apply first cos I was pretty convinced I was gonna get called for interview. He was granted, this was November. Two months after I applied for my own drop box,I almost opted for reapplying so I can go for interview and save myself the headache.Lo and behold I was granted this visa via drop box
I hope this ease the tension in the house.
I didn’t drop my transcript cos I have been a lik bit indisposed as I am expecting my third child
Best wishes to us all....

Really!!!
This is comforting.
Thanks for sharing.

Please how long did it take between submission and getting your passport back?
I thought 3 working days was the norm...

There are several people that has renewed even with the old bill, I'm also waiting to see who renewed with the new bill though it took effect Oct 20th 2017. I'm hopeful we will find someone. The bill is 6,318. Why did you end up with a higher bill?

It looks like the higher the better now, please just request for your itemized bill

Thanks for the feedback.

I paid extra 1K for more hospital visits prior delivery and extra one day stay after delivery.

And please how long did it take before they sent your passport back with the 221g letter stuff?

My application is 2 weeks now and nothing from the embassy yet.

Good afternoon everyone;
Please any mama(s) here that used JH Stroger cook county in Chicago for birthing and has/have renewed their visa should please share their experiences as regards this discount or no discount saga.

My Dropbox application is going to 2 weeks now and I have not heard any feedback from the embassy.

My question is, does JH stroger OB- package for self-pay patients qualify as discounted bill?
I paid a total of 7.35k dollars; is this considered to small for normal delivery and red flag in visa renewal.
This suspense is annoying and unfair.
Please help shed some light on this.

Thanks all.

Hi,
Julie said same thing to me but I hesitated.
She eventually sent the soft copies to me within an hour as an encrypted message using Baracuda.
Check your email, I will forward mine to you.

Good morning,
Please can you kinda send a copy of the itemized bill to me too?
I applied for my visa renewal last week via Dropbox and I haven't received any feedback since them.
I want to start getting ready with necessary documents should they ask me to schedule an interview.
I have some print out documents from J.H Stroger but I don't know whether those suffice as itemized billing or not; so I can contact them for the right documents.
I will appreciate your response please.
Thanks.

It hasn't been easy but God has been faithful, and like everyone keep saying, the one that would stay would come. I just use my hand console myself cos I did my best for him. May God protect our Los in Jesus name, Amen. I know affliction can't rise a second time but I don't want double for my trouble (twins).
Stay safe everyone.

Good afternoon mamas in the house, pls mamas, my baby is 21days today. He has a very tiny white dot in his right pupil. we took him to a pediatric doctor and he said its nothing to worry about. No test was conducted on him, he just said it okay and that it will go by itself. pls has any mamas here notice this kind of thing. if yes, what did you about it. I'm worried it might be something serious

Please take the baby to an Ophthalmologist to get checked. Very important.

It's probably a minor thing but safer not to gamble.

Good day everyone, please our baby is just 2 weeks old, her umbilical cord just came off 3 days ago. Ever since she has been restless, hardly sucks, even when she does, she throws up. She seems weak. Please is this a normal phase?
N. B this our ist child

Two things I can pick from here; throwing up and seeming weak.
The combination of these 2 should not be played with in newborns.
Please take the baby to the hospital for proper diagnosis and treatment.
It is well with her IJN.
