Hello my people.
I hope we are all doing okay.

I beg, help guide a "JJC". Arrived in UK (Scotland) about a month now and jobhunting. I was a Sales Analyst while in Nigeria.
I spend hours on the job websites daily but most come back unsuccessful. Even ordinary Clerical Assistant Job is not coming forth. Care/support work is also asking 6 months experience. It is depressing.

I also need ideas on school searching for my 3+ child as the few ones I contacted are saying no space.
Please enlighten me.

Hello All. Please help on this.

We are applying for spouse visa with one dependent child. But while completing the FM child application form for our daughter online under the Finance section, it requested for my (applicant's) employment details instead of my husband's who is the sponsor.
I need a guide please as I do not know if I made a mistake somewhere along the line.

Note, the employment I have is outside the UK, which I do not think suffices for the purpose required and even at that, my annual salary is below the financial requirement threshold.
Thank you.

What I know is they said they will extend till December 31 but not sure if the one paid 2019 is inclusive
Where did you see the information as per 31st December please?

Hello all.
Please I just want to know if there is anybody in the same situation as I am. My visa fee paid May 2019 but couldn't get an available date and for some other reasons had the interview booked for 30th March 2020. Alas, Covid happened and all non immigrant visa applications/appointments were cancelled.
Now my paid visa fee has exceeded 1 year meaning it has expired. Will I have to pay again to book another appointment as this was not my fault that the fee expired?
@justwise @omobendel and other experts should kindly enlighten me on what to expect.
Note: I have sent a couple of mails through to them just before the 1 year mark and after the fee expired but was getting the generic response that I would have to pay another fee. This is really annoying.

Since you've got the consent letter from the father, you just need to add her birth certificate (showing both of you as the parents), passport, proof of funds in your account and a letter from the school to show that she's lived with you all through.
If you feel that there's anything the ECO might not understand on your application, use a cover letter to explain.

Hello,
Permit me to ask why she needs to demonstrate any proof of funds in her account as it is her husband that is standing in as the sponsor and she isn't living or working (earning) in the UK as it is.
Thanks

This conversation is supposed to be in US Visit Visa Thread and not at Point of Entry Thread. You'd get more responses there.

I honestly think when the US in Nigeria resumes visiting visa interviews, it will be announced. There has been no announcement to that effect on their website or social media.

Your Visa Fees is valid for a long time so no cause for alarm. I think a year or more. All things being equal, the crises worldwide would have been over and things would have reset back to normal ways

Permit me to quick ask this here now that I saw something related to my concerns.
What of those that their MRV receipts expired due to the closure of embassy to non-immigrant visa interviews?
Any hope of reactivation as it was beyond one's control that the MRV receipt expired in the course of the closure of embassies.
Thank you.

Hi, please I have a question regarding SNIP. Must your course of study be related to your work experience in order to be eligible?

Sorry I am a bit of a novice here but I guess the course of study needs to match the work.

The experts can enlighten more.

The ECA document will be uploaded during the main application.

Okay. Thank you.

Good day All,
Kindly enlighten me on this issue;
While filling the EOI for SNIP I saw the message that I must include the assessment. It reads thus;
"Please Note: An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is a mandatory document for post-secondary education completed outside of Canada that is included in your SINP application. You must include assessment of the education related to the occupation you have chosen in your Expression of Interest (EOI). Your ECA must also include assessment of the education claimed for the Point Assessment Grid."

Please note: Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles without an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), if required, will not receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

But I did not see anywhere to upload the ECA document in the profile.

My question now is if that means the ECA assessment should be uploaded later during the main application or now while still filling the expression of interest and if it now, how will I do it?

Thank you.

Just thought to mention that there is no requirement for you to use your most recent occupation. If your CRS is at a comfortable level as per recent draws and you are not choosing a particular NOC for PNP reasons, then you may want to consider picking the one for which you have 7 years experience (you only need 3 of these 7 years for ref letter purposes). That way, you only need to get one reference letter and you need only worry about matching 1 NOC rather than 2.

........unless there is no problem getting refs for a combination of 2 NOCs since it is from the same department of the same organization & you also don't mind matching 2 NOCs.

My current CRS score is not close to the ones coming up in the recent draws so I am opting for PNP.

I think I should use the combination of the 2 NOCs if it is not going to pose any challenge during my application review. Getting reference letters from the company for the 2 won't be an issue.

Thank you very much. I appreciate.

This is a straight forward case. All you need is 3 year work experience and you have a wealth of 12 years experience. What you have to do is to use the 2 years experience of your current position and augment it with any of your previous position. Note You are free to use more than one NOC provided one of your work experience is continuous for one year. In case of two different position in the same company, I suggest you get two reference letters I.e one for each NOC.

Thank you very much. I appreciate.

Good evening all.

A big thank you to everybody that contributes their experiences and ideas on the platform. God bless you all.

I need an insight on what to do about my job experiences please;

Combined, I have over 12 years job experience but on different roles and 2 different companies.

The first 3 years was as a Quality Control Officer in a Distilleries. The next seven years was on a role as a sales admin officer in another FMCG company, while the last 2 years and current role is in the same department and the same Company but as a Business Analyst.

I want to apply on NOC 4162 but my concern is that I am less than 3 years on my current role as a Business Analyst which matches the NOC I intend to use.

My questions is;
I hope this won't be contradictory as I am less than 2 years on the job role that matches the NOC but if added together I am 9 years plus in the same department but slightly different job descriptions?

Anybody with insights should kindly enlighten me.

Thank you.

GB has had the same thing since December. I think it's the harmattan so I'm just waiting for it to pass. I notice the nose starts running as soon as we are out of the house for school in the morning, then stops when the weather warms up. Also starts when we use fan. She even has cough too. I gave antibiotics when it started in Decmber, since that time its occassional Vit. C up until now. The day it stops you won't even notice, probably when harmattan stops coming back. No more antibiotics biko, try home remedies, and keeping her away from window air at night.

Thank you mama. I will continue with the vitamin C and hope it clears soon.
God bless and keep them all safe for us.

Hello dear mamas, happy Sunday to us all.
Please I need your advice on what to give to my daughter for cold and runny nose that has refused to go for almost a month now.
We have had to go to the hospital cos of this; taken antibiotics and 2 bottles of vitamin c but the runny/blocked nose still comes and goes. It may appear to have cleared in the morning when she just wakes up but before midday it will start again. Because of her we hardly us AC/fan to sleep again or anywhere around her.
It's getting me worried.
My experienced mothers please advice

did u track it on tls website to know if ur passport is ready for collection or how did u do it?

No, I didn't know via tracking; I lost interest in the tracking after the first few days. I got emails (2 emails within 5 minutes interval) from TLScontact notifying me that my document was ready for collection.

Hello house.
I got my passport back today with a 6 months validity Visa stamp after 2 previous rejections all thanks to God and experience gained from following this thread.
I have learnt so much on here and the travel section in general.
Thanks @Justwise and other gurus for the patience you take in answering our varying (and some times ridiculous) questions.
I appreciate it all. God bless .

Those were the Koko documents. You may need to take it along with other already loaded documents for opt for assisted service and be ready to pay 10k for each applicant.....Explain to them at the presubmission desk and you would need to go with an active ATM card of an account that is funded.
Oh. Thanks very much. I appreciate.
