BS!! BS!! *CAVEAT* Long Post!
Dear mamas, let me officially bring to you my Birth Story! I should have done this earlier but for the want of time. Please pardon me.

contractions started on Friday evening (3/11) at regular intervals of 10mins and 7mins respectively. DH got back from work by 9pm and when he saw me, he asked "are you contracting" I answered yes. he replied by asking if he should take me to the hospital? I said No!! I noticed he became so restless because he hasn't seen me in such pain althrough my pregnancy journey. He suspected that this Could be the real deal. So after a short while, I fixed dinner for him, took pineapple and watermelon after which i started purging. I used the toilet 3 consecutive times which was quite unusual . After much , we went to bed by 12am and slept for just 30 mins. I Couldn't with stand the hard contractions that was hitting me like Tsunami. Each time it comes, i Would Grab Dh so tight with Loud scream. from this moment, I knew it's time to get to the hospital. i delayed not rushing down to hospital to avoid unnecessary jajaina examination. By 4:00am, we finally drove to hospital and on our way, Dh kept encouraging me to speak God's word at a point he held my hands thinking it would calm the pain heeeii na so I shout o(leave me alone) and beat him until he left me. when we got to the hospital gate, it was locked so we wait for 3mins before the security opened it. within that time I was shouting press that horn. press it, press it. I grabbed the steering and pressed the horn like crazy before the security man came and opened the gate. on getting to the reception, I couldn't stand was on the floor and shouting nurse come and help me. grabbing anyone and anything that passes by me after 5 mins a nurse came took me to delivery room, checked and said I had little time left. I was then admitted, Dh made all the necessary payments to get them started as he was told. while on admission bed I would shout Jesus help me, spoke in tongues, drag my hair, grab the next bed hmm Dh came back with some items after making the deposit. I was given drip, oxytocin. when the pain increased I was given pcm according to the nurse. while on the bed, my water broke and the pressure was much. so i called on the nurse. she said don't push. after 5mins the pressure was coming down so I called the nurse to come ooo I want to pupu heei I CNT hold it o heei so 2 nurses came, checked me and took me to the delivery room. I was given another drip and oxytocin of higher dosage. then I was asked to push. my baby's head was visible at the second push but later my baby refused to come out. according to the nurse he tried changing position while I was asked to push. oil and a fliud was poured on my jajaina to help out no way, more oxytocin was injected no way! i was cut mercilessly still no way! the nurses got tired of me but they didn't give up on me. then all the nurses, metrons and doctors on duty came into the delivery room to apply their expertise.hmmm was still pushing and with the help of 3 doctors and 5 nurses, baby victory came out stressed without tears! He was beaten severally. more drip and different fluid was injected into me to bring out the placenta that initially refused to come out. while it was ongoing I was praying in my mind. then finally the placenta came out. the nurse said congratulations to me. then bleeding started.the nurse used pad to wage it, was given an injection. then a doctor came in to stitch me. when the doctor came he started making calls and excused himself that he needed to settle some family dispute. after a while he returned and did the stitching. then I was asked to go back to my bed. when I stood up, I was seeing up side down. my whole body was turning me. I couldn't open my eyes well. then I was asked to lie down and wait then a wheel chair was brought to carry me to my bed space. on the side of my little one, he was admitted and varieties of test was ran on him, drugs were administered and we were discharged on Tuesday. on Wednesday night we went back to the hospital cause I was looking white and swollen from waist down. Doctor me and advised I use pillow to raise my legs. on Thursday baby and me went for immunization, got original birth certificate, did More test and was given drugs to be administered to him. Today baby victory is doing well. His name VICTORY is so significant in our lives. We TTCD for less than A year! Amidst doctors negative result reports, we came out victorious!! For all those in Ttc thread, I salute your courage!! God bless and be with you all!! You will share your testimonies soon. For all the waddling mamas God will make it easy for you all. There shall be no loss in Jesus Name. And to all my November mamas plus October people!!! I love you all. Thanks for all the incredible experiences we shared together. To the two cappos Anugod and pweetiebabe, thanks for a job Weldon!! Please those around Ajah/lekki axis of Lagos, today is baby victory's naming ceremony!! You're all cordially invited. Pm for details. Finally, my heartfelt gratitude goes to my ever loving precious husband that stood by me in the course of this journey. He actually introduced me to this forum. I can't thank him enough. God bless all the loving husbands in the world. Nothing gives you strength and joy to think you have him stand by you in the midst of pains and when you needed him most. Thank you!! Thank you!!! Please pardon my English grammar oooo thank you.

B. S. After a nasty ruptured Ectopic and ttc for almost four years. God blessed me. That period, after the surgery, I was depressed for months.complications from the surgery saw me going from one Doc to another. Pains, etc.I got my Bfp and was in a trance for weeks, kept on checking weekly. Got my first scan at 7weeks,they said it no baby, but signs of infection. Repeated scan a week later, a bulky uterus sighted. Repeated scan at 9weeks to confirm pregnancy and position of baby. In fact, I was doing scan every two months or thereabouts.I was in constant pains, scan, Docs could not give me answers.I booked for elective Cs, at 38weeks.the Docs got the baby out and started repair surgery to correct the complications of ruptured ectopic of four years ago. In all, I thank God, for giving me a baby and going through two surgeries in one.
B. A. and B. S. Submitted.

May God grant the remaining #Team November, easy, swift delivery, testimony filled delivery. In all trust your instincts. Shallom.
Abeg,no mind typos.
Congratulations ma. God bless your baby for you.

Thank you everyone for the wishes. Straight to my secondhand BS. I know this doesn't come often. Anyway, here it goes...

We TTCed for about a year and half before God answered our prayers. Details of that is in my previous posts on TTC thread. If you haven't gone through a conscious delay in conception, especially, first conception that leads to childbirth, you are unlikely to grasp what TTC couples go through.

The bfp came when we least expected it. In fact, confirming it at the test center was adrenaline x1000. Eventually, we did and got our joy. As a husband, my DW's pregnancy journey was a uphill task o. She had MS from day 1 till the end. Her food itinerary was basically eba and fufu, as nothing she ate stayed long enough in her stomach to be considered as food. She also had heart burn, where she constantly needed to take mistmag to suppress it. For this reason, she ate very low peppery diets all through. In fact, her main soups were ogbono and ewedu. Each time we go out to eat something different, I always have to lick out her meat before she eats, since the vendors usually cook their meat with the main soup.

At a point, she had haemorrhoids. Did sitz baths to ease the pain she was going through. Then during the 6th month or there about, she had suspected appendicitis, which was taken care of through bombardment of antibiotics and as God would have it, the pain subsided, and she didn't complain about it, even till date.

As the pregnancy progressed, i could sense she was tired of the pregnancy and at the same time scared, especially at the tail end. She lost her mucus plug unknown to her. I was about having my bath after she was done with hers when I saw a huge "kelebe" on the floor. Asked if she "ha kelebe" in the bathroom, she said No. Anyway, that was how the mucus plug came off. Note that she had been having contractions since the 38th week. This progressed and the intensity equally increased, but never to the point where doctors call active labour. Her dilation was stuck at 2cm when we noticed she had started leaking. At first we thought it was urine, since she urinated on per second billing. This was our undoing, as we ought to have reported the issue. We were expecting a burst, but I guess hers was the type that trickles. The leakage increased, and had to inform the gynae, who in turn asked us to report immediately we notice any form of leakage. Anyway, I told him we've been experiencing the leakage for about 2days, whereas, truthfully, it has gone on for about 2weeks, that is since 38weeks.

Remember the fear I told you about, even at this point, she still wanted to go back home, while hoping the doctor will discharge her asap. Do I mention she worked till the Friday she was admitted? Unfortunately for her, gynae gave us two options, induction or Caesarean. He also advised that considering the size of the baby and my wife's body frame, the induction might be unsuccessful, which could eventually lead to an emergency CS. This I felt why allow my wife suffer twice, if induction fails. As per baby weight, the weight gain was astronomical, just last week, she was only 2.8kg , this week the baby became 3.7kg, and just two days after, it was discovered to have risen to 3.9kg.

We decided to have the surgery done, but the transition from her leaving with the nurses to the delivery room till when she was wheeled back to the ward was the longest minutes of my life. Perhaps, I would've requested to go in with them, but I sincerely don't know what my reactions would be. I hope I would've even allowed the doctor touch her. While waiting, I understood what it meant to be going up and down, as seen in the movies, while checking every entrance point. Trust me, I was not a boss on this day.

Sucour finally came when our daughter was brought in and being cleaned up, but believe me, my wife's condition was equally important, (don't wanna say "more important), so no rest yet. Minutes later, wifey was wheeled in still unconscious. I was happy, but unlike many fathers, the happiness was a short one, as all I could see were a huge responsibility given to us by God, which we cannot fail in, while He supports us.

The paediatrician came in later to announce to us that our delay in reporting to the hospital might have caused sepsis for the baby, and would stay for 10 days. However, baby looks very healthy, eats well, not pale and very active. Anyways, blood samples have been taken, and until the results comes out, we are considering going home with her, as soon as DW is discharged.

Congratulations sir. Your joy shall be permanent in Jesus name.

Info about hospitals in Chicago and other cities in US is not difficult to find online with a simple search, they usually have more than one phone number and also contact-us form you can easily complete and submit.

Pasting any link here for you will be going against the forum rule.

Do a proper search with laptop, tablet or desktop for a better result.

Even in previous parts of this thread you will get more info

Okay, will keep searching.
Thanks very much.

No ma'am, you actually did the right thing with drinking hot/warm water . This aids the uterus in expelling any remnant blood/tissues.

Good morning beautiful mamas in the house!

I'm so sorry if this post annoys anyone here! I actually did this out of love and empathy for a fellow mama, despite what have been through this past days. I remember being in so much pains after my evacuation on the first day I solicited for help on behalf of kelizosuy, I did out of love as a mom!

I want us to know that have not seen kelizosuy in person before and we are not in the same state! I only know her herw on nairaland but I take her as a sister!

I heard that some mamas feel I and kelizosuy are in this together, as in I know her personally! No, I don't!

Na as my mind be na so I take do something!

I'm still in the opinion that kelizosuy should contact her parents! I even went ahead to asked her yesterday night after I posted on her behalf if she has contacted her mother, which she says not yet!

I did this out of love for humanity and motherhood!

Proudmom38 na Akwaibomite and Lagosian by birth!

I rest my case!

Please don't feel bad about any hearsay or insinuations. Although I cannot speak for all mamas on this thread but I personally appreciate your selfless help rendered to Kelizosuy.
The person (Kelizosuy) in question is an adult and I believe she can make her own decisions, we can only offer assistance be it financial or otherwise. As the saying goes " only he that wears the shoes knows where it pinches".
God be with us and guide all our steps in Jesus name.
