radautoworks: I don't know where you were but that is not the Houston, tx I live in except for the heat (which is one of the things I love)! Jesus. The place you're describing sounds like a helll hole. Houston and Texas are constantly in top lists of places to live in America.
As far as your second point, I worked for many companies in Houston from minimum wage up till just south of six figures and never experienced either a hostile work culture or intolerance. Could this be a case of you get what you put out like we warned about earlier? Where are you now and how are you doing there? ... Dremca: Since the inception of Buhari's government, no country has shown much interest in investing in Nigeria including US except for the loans the government got from China after buhari visited several countries at the beginning of his administration seeking for those countries to invest in Nigeria, but all to no avail. I'm optimistic that the Atiku's will rebuild Nigeria's bilateral relationship with US. ... Do you have evidence to back up your claims above ?? How many presidents or their representatives have visited Nigeria since this government took over??.,they are coming to dance shaku shaku I guess.Have you suddenly Forgotten how Nigeria was alienated from international scene during gej presidency??.Nigerians with short memories,do you have any evidence of strained relationship between the US and Nigeria?.hmmm only God knows where you people source your always biased and flawed information from and to think pdp taking over government to continue their business as usual can only happen in the imaginations of some lazy looters and their beneficiaries who see public service as a means of enriching themselves.NEVER AGAIN!!!. |

Countries deal with issues that affect their relationships not who rules over such countries. Nigeria being a shithole only exist in the mind of failures. It's only in Nigeria eloquence without substance win debates.the pdp spokesman was busy dishing out lies which were busted by keyamo and even the moderator has to fact checked him and corrected his lies on some occasions. I remember trump/Hilary debates where Trump was no match for her but we all know the reality.I watched that debate and I think keyamo did a good job from the defensive position he was in because he who starts in a debate already has an advantage only for the other person to engage in a defensive position which was the case here. |

You like looking for trouble, I have left it alone so you leave it alone and continue to wallow in ignorance. Bossman: I can chime in a little on this. There is no direct answer to your question. In general, there will be ups and downs in sticks/mutual funds. It all depends on what kind of portfolio one has. I have had more ups than downs. It's always good to hold your funds for the long term. Also, you can either go through a brokerage firm or open an pereonal brokerage account with the likes of Ameritrade, fidelity, etc. and do the transactions on your own. I have both. ... .... I think starting out with penny stocks wouldn't be a bad idea especially for those looking to such line of investments but generally speaking, market crash due to many factors either natural or man made are real and when that happens, those portfolios existence are threatened and the devastation could be massive. I would rather invest more in stuffs that are within my control. |

Babyvet: Negro bye, according to these posts you are a fraud so I’m not the only who has accused you .
Your really not providing much detail as far the actual immigration process. But whatever , it’s your personal choice. The process is not as simple as filling out a form. Nigerians are not straight forward people. When I read other immigration stories from other nationalities , they detail it which turn educate people, they just don’t make blanket statements and expect people to run with it. ... You admitted accusing someone of fraud when no conviction had been made could land you in trouble according to the laws of the land you are claiming to love. You arrogate to yourself the power to adjudicate immigration issues when obviously you are not an immigration official speak so ill about your characters. What do you need those details info for if you are not out for some mischiefs. You need to grow up and respect other people positions and opinions especially when they dont affect you directly in any way. |

PDPGuy: I’ve noticed in America that most 23-24 year old African ladies do not see marriage as a top priority. Instead, they prefer to have an accomplished career or attend graduate school before getting married. Most of them that I’ve talked with, prefer to get married in their late 20s or early 30s.
But the reverse is the case in Nigeria. Most girls between 21-23 can’t wait to get married. Career/professional development is second fiddle to them.
I wonder if culture has any role to play in the discrepancy between ladies attitudes to marriage in the U.S. and Nigeria. ... Which of the cultures or society desire or contract early marriage between western and African??. |

jjohndoe83: Dear gentlemen,
I have followed this thread for sometime now. Although I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but the caption "aspirant" should be sufficiently flexible to accommodate me.
I've been thinking of this relocation thing seriously. What are the options legitimately available to me migrating to the USA?
Let me give a bit of context: I'm 28 years old, I am in active legal practice in a relatively top law firm Lagos and have been at it since I was 24. I plan to get married next year (my intended is also a lawyer of similar experience and exposure). So, I'm looking for an option that would accommodate us both. We're not necessarily from buoyant backgrounds but we're trying.
What can we do? Leads and links would be appreciated. Thank you all. ... I try to avoid commenting on anything immigration because of it's sensitivity to my fellow Nigerians but if I may add my opinion, there's no legitimate way to immigrate to US from Nigeria for now except through family petitions and employment based which is rare. But you may pursue some student routes if that will ultimately guaranteed legal status is what am not sure of. |

Dremca: How much stake do you think Bill gate has in Microsoft. Venture capitalist wouldn't earn dividend until after a break even period and the best thing that would happen to them is make exit or for the company to go public and sell IPO. I would rather have 10% stake in a multi billion dollar business than have 80% in an average business as a founder/shareholder .... This is where I question your knowledge about managing a business,if you ever being to a business school before I really wanna know what you were taught there. You haven't heard the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step before ??. Have you read how Microsoft and others even Jumia started business at all ??. Dremca: How many entrepreneurs has $500k and $1M to startup a business. Canada startup visa doesn't require you to have any money, just your idea and funding from venture capitalist grants someone the startup visa. .... In as much as I love your enthusiasm and your optimism about your dreams and aspirations, you should know that those expectations are not just easy to come by in reality. There are stiff competitions everywhere for funding and some of the conditions attached to such would probably turn You to slave working for them indirectly. Beside, how many venture capitalists as you called them are ready to throw their money on some untested ideas and do you expect Canada to throw open their borders just because you have an idea ??..if you think in that direction, then rude shock awaits you. Even when we talk about how easy it is to get loans from banks in the US doesn't means they just throw open their vault for you just because you have a business idea that has not been put to use.
