There are too many basic IT and Engineering jobs paying 25/hr and still begging for applicants. No one left Nigeria to eat burgers here.

Someone in Nigeria will still tell people in the US that they can't work and be successful without "papers" in the US. It's laughable because the person without the "paper" is actually making dollars as we deliberate here.

Leave people queueing at the embassy/consulate to make their own decision. I took my own decision after holidaying in the US for the fourth time in two years and no regret so far. People make dollars here daily except they choose not to work and it's the reality.

Banning foreign nationals from entering the US because of their religions and others is unconstitutional but the scotus said otherwise. Trump had his way and I can bet he will have his way again this time but let's say he doesn't, what happens to those thousands or millions of new born babies that would be affected before the reversal because the legal process might take some time to end?.

I share in your dislike of Texas.despte how beautiful some of the cities are,the weather situation there is a put off for me but it still a far cry to the situation in Nevada or Arizona though,those places are where the kingdom of hell is situated.
As per racism,the state of Illinois is part of Midwestern and racism knows no location,it's everywhere and you shouldn't allow it determine your situation.apart from severe weather condition in most part of the region like Minnesota especially during winter,I think Midwestern is relatively peaceful and cool to live.
