Travel / Re: Why Don't Africans Spend Their Holidays More In Africa by nigerfine: 11:13pm On Apr 29, 2013
Very interesting,I guess the reasons will be well articulated
1hype over developed world......,,everybody want a feel of developed wold, after the taste of it before you think of any other place
2african countries are not manufacturing hubs, many African holiday makers usually head to where they will buy things they think they need and the cost in the place is very high. The savings alone might cater for minimum of one quarter of the fare, other African countries might not give them the opportunity to buy the high standard stuff at that price. This is more or less the most common reason , believe me, European tourist to Houston want to go to the malls before any other place,,,,,,,,,just like African tourists
3cost,we o not have chep fares from one African country to the other because of the low patronage, this is attributed to wealth at our disposal
4safety

I live in Houston, USA , I've seen a lot that I dream of having my holidays at Israel,Egypt,Gabon, cape verde but this wouldn't have been my priority if I lived in nigeria all my life.meanwhile, obudu on my mind at next visit to my Niger

What is Texas girl, is this a name used by an animal ? Let me remind all that I live in Houston and I literally know almost everywhere there. There are no city without a slum. Considering Houston to be the world oil capital , one might not see places like third ward, fifth ward and so forth. So keep your pics Niger fine

Politics / Re: Nigeria Saves N4.2trn On Manufactured-Goods Importation In 2012 - Aganga by nigerfine: 11:28pm On Apr 28, 2013
PapaBrowne:

I don't think Aganga is responsible for the wrong information. I think our journalist are the problem. You see this same problem anytime they have to convert large figures from dollars to Naira. Trust me, many people don't know that it is as simple as multiplying the dollar figure by the exhange rate and you'll get the Naira figure. I see people face this simple maths challenge every time. Sadly, journalists should know better but they dont.
Nigeria press wouldn't even correct their mistakes as been seen in western world.

The issue of using as asset for collateral, one should think of space, theft, genuine ownership of the item, and the legal aspect of selling if the borrower did not comply, nice idea

Kanu escorted the NIG team to World Cup ,he resigned after the games, yobo after escorting the the team to nations cup failed to resign. Mr yobo can you feel osaze 's pain for not being informed that he would not play. Take heart. We pay you guys well if your time is over gently leave the scene so that you can still be politically relevant

I admire his talent and luck.i love his passion for humanity.but I want to say that the very successful in most cases erase the big factor that aided that leap to fortune and paint themselves as being from a no where.no ordinary person gets a loan of $6k at 15 , no refugee gets that . Dangote said he was lent 500,000 that was almost $500k, common you can't get s loan of 500$k if you are ordinary . My one cent.
