I don't just know what is wrong with my generation, they have the time to vote - out and re vote - in housemates, but most of them don't even have PVC for the Forthcoming general elections.
I'm 20 years old and i have my PVC locked and loaded, waiting for 2019 yet,my elder brother's friend who is in his early thirties, got no PVC, but is talking of who to vote back into the bbnaija house.

"LEADERS OF TOMORROW" undecided
PVC has not and will not change anything. If u ve a PVC to elect new set of looters operating in same system u get same result.
PVC will not change any damn thing.
We dont want election but referendum on key national issues first. In some cases ur votes don’t count

Have you wondered where the bulk of these plundered wealth are stored? (protip: look in western banks). They say follow the money and you will know who is pulling the strings.

These leaders are agents propped and encouraged by imperialists in the rape of their people's economy. It has nothing to do with race. This can be seen in Central America, Sub-Saharan Africa and parts of Asia. It is the philosophy of poverty where the ruling classes will exploit the vulnerable so as to maintain wealth and control.

Disregard the pretensions of these imperialists to their recent setup of laws on foreign investments, they are willing participants in this criminal enterprise.

Frantz Fanon wrote a fine book on this subject called "The wretched of the earth". And then the well documented book of Walter Rodney " How Europe underdeveloped Africa".
Europe did not underdevelop Africa far more than Africans themselves. We should take away ego and the blame game and take responsibility for our failures. Countries of the Asian tigers were all colonized but have made huge giant strides. The will on the part of African leaders to chart a new course has never been there. Norway was colonized by Denmark and became a territory ceded to the Swedes but now the most proseperous. What of Qatar, UAE. They all ve the oil we have. Bros leave all that pride, we wud fare off better if we are an overseas territory of a western country preferably the Scandinavia cos of their unique welfare system.
Greenland u talked about has a good welfare system, 2/3 of it budget is from Denmark, enjoys the welfare system Scandinavians are known for. Hence, quality of life is far superior to any u get in Africa.

You might want to inform yourself before you fall victim to ignorance fuelled by alternative fact.

Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) was an apartheid state funded and maintained by imperialists like Britain, US, Holland, Israel, Belgium etc. These settlers in Zimbabwe unfurled the most oppressive laws and actions on Zimbabweans denying them of equity and participation in their nation.

Prime real estate, including the choicest farmlands all over Zimbabwe were appropriated by these devils. Families who resisted this extortion were murdered on their properties. Natural resources were commandeered by these filths under the protection of the above listed imperialists. It did not also help that the proceeds of these crimes were stored in off shore accounts. Zimbabweans were provided with the barest minimum to keep them subsistent.

When you say Zimbabweans were prosperous, you are probably referring to the agents of these crime against humanity. Many Zimbabweans no longer owned factors of production.

It's no wonder that when Mugabe and the revolutionaries won the war, Britain and the US quickly rushed to create an accord to protect the settlers.

It is inevitable that there must be resource redistribution. That is the basis of the West's anger against Mugabe. They despise him for looking out for his people. Land redistribution has been successful in China, Brazil, Cuba, Panama etc but that of Zimbabwe was fraught with corruption but the motive is to be applauded. Mugabe's economic policies have not been well thought out too but it must be stated that they have been victims of an overwhelming economic warfare.
What is worse than the ‘imperialism’ of our own leaders who ve plundered our collective wealth for the benefit of a few. Suicide and depression are linked and often associated with long dark winter with no sunlight.

I don't know about Sweden and Norway, but you sure as hell don't want Denmark running the show. They have a real bad track record with their overseas territories: Greenland has the highest suicide rate in the world cause Danes royally screwed them over.

See this article: https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2016/04/21/474847921/the-arctic-suicides-its-not-the-dark-that-kills-you

It's very long, but worth a read to learn how the Danes "develop" places.
Bros leave all that. I am a Nigerian who has been living in d scandinavia for over 4 yrs. I have been to all the scandinavian countries except Faroe Island, Greenland and Iceland but I can authoritatively tell u that Greenland is far better. This isssue of suicide is more of societal issue not attributable to failure of governance. Google it standard of living in Greenland is many times better than life in Nigeria.

My fellow NLs and Nigerians, it's obvious we've failed, just find a picture of Nigeria in the 80s and 90s and compare with the present, it's saddening and depressing. Things were better then because the whites were here in Nigeria, come 2019 nothing will change, they will just say "don't expect magic from the government". Let's Start a rant on all platforms #bringbackthewhites I have a strong feeling things will turn for better when they are sworn in on amicable terms
Bro I agree with you. Nigeria should become an oversea territory of a developed country and that country should be from any of the scandinavian countries.
There are many countries that are overseas territories of a much bog better country. Puerto Rico is a US territory, Falkland Island a UK territory among others. If we can start that platform u have my support. Infact, my choice is Norway. I would personally hand over a letter to the Prime Minister and Monarch of Norway, Sweden or Denmark that ‘we the people of Nigeria want to be an overseas territory of their country.

Two feared killed as Yoruba, Hausa clash in Lagos

Samson Folarin and Afeez Hanafi

Two persons were feared killed after Yoruba and Hausa youths clashed at Gida Panli, Kotomola, in the New Garage area of Ojota, Lagos State.

It was learnt that the clash broke out on Thursday after a Hausa youth reportedly beat up his Yoruba counterpart over a misunderstanding.

Some hoodlums in the area were said to have avenged the assault on the Yoruba youth, leading to the clash, which spilt over to Friday.

Our correspondents learnt that many motorcycles were destroyed in the affray, while commercial activities in the neighbourhood were paralysed.

“There was a misunderstanding yesterday (Thursday) between two youths, one Yoruba, the other Hausa. The Hausa boy reported the other guy to some area boys in the area and they settled the issue.

“Afterwards, he went to attack the Yoruba man and beat him up. That infuriated the hoodlums popularly called area boys who then attacked the Hausa man and the clash broke out. Traders had to vacate the area and many Hausa people had been chased away.

“I learnt some people were killed, but I am not sure of the number yet,” a commercial driver in the area, Wale Ajayi, said.

Another resident, who did not want to be identified, said two persons died.

“The Hausa man had killed the Yoruba boy. He actually stabbed him to death. In a reprisal that followed on Friday, a Hausa man was killed,” he said.

Our correspondents were told that many frightened parents ran to their children’s schools to pick them around 1 pm as there was tension in the community.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that scores of policemen from different area commands, including operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, responded to the clash. A chopper belonging to the RRS reportedly hovered around the area to monitor the situation.

undecided Shehu Sani I really do not know why it took you so long to speak out. You were elected in 2015 and this is 2018. Have you had enough of the money? Could it be because of 2019? Well better late than never.
Remembering your activism back in the days, you were one of the senators I held in high esteem including that senseless Ben Bruce but as usual na disappointment.
Sadly, Nigerians do not realize that the greatest enemy of the Nigerian state and its progress is not Boko Haram but the National Assembly and governors not even Buhari even though that one has his own problems.
Lawmakers have no business with spending public funds. Constituency allowances is a big fraud. What of security votes by governors which is a big fraud. This is the reason why recurrent expenditure is more than double the capital budget. Hence, no development but hardships everywhere.

lipsrsealed Nigerians think they know a lot but know nothing.
We can never move anywhere until we realize that the greatest enemies of the Nigerian state is the National Assembly(NASS) be it senate or house of reps.
Thieves can not make laws for good governance. U all blame Bubu for the woes but fail to look inwards at the trillions siphoned by these bastards with constituency allowances with nothing to show. Nigerians do not even know that in the first place it is never d duty of lawmakers to finance projects. Also, the state governors and the various state houses of assembly all ate a huge drain on resources needed to make life good for the common man.
There is enough for all but not enough for the greed of the few in power.
Bubu’s war on corruption would understandably fail cos even the laws to fight it are so weak coupled with so many loopholes deliberately left by the theifing lawmakers so that d culprits wud frustrate the judicial case. Bubu can not prosecute, try and sentence corrupt public officers alone.

8. Norway — GDP per capita: $69,296 (£56,510)
The Scandinavian nation with over 5 million residents sits just outside of the top five richest countries in the world per capita. According to the IMF, the country was negatively affected by the the lower oil price over the last couple of years. Norway also saw its growth fall to its lowest since 2008 and 2009’s economic downturn, although the country was also able to lower its unemployment rate after its peak last summer.

Business / Re: 16 Reasons Why Many Businesses Fail And How To Avoid Them by Nigeriadondie1: 7:38am On Mar 10, 2018
cry Bros leave this matter. Businesses in Nigeria fail because of the shiithole environment that exist in the shiithole country.
Here are d following reasons businesses fail:

1.Poor infrastructure:
Lack if critical infrastructure has made running business a daily nightmare. For example, how wud d fishseller, patent medicine sellers who needs light to preserve delicate medicines at low temperature or business person who deals on perishable items not experience losses that wud wreck business. Alternatives to power are expensive increasing costs of products, reducing it affordability and eventual sales. Use of generators have negative environmental inpact in terms of air pollution and noise.
Bad roads which increases time for the movement of goods and labour frim a point to another knowing fully well time na money. Vehicles breakdown on bad road which results in costly but avoidable breakdown.
Water they say has no enemy. Many parts in the shiithole Nigeria ve nwver experienced water supply from d govt which is critical to every business.
Therefore, these and many more creates a harsh environment inimical to growth of any business.

2. Multiple taxation
We all know as disorganized as other facets of the Nigerian society is d tax system. If u are shop owner or small business owner you would understand hiw some idiots would come often to forcefully extort money for reasons that leaves u dumbfounded. The mist annoying thing is that the individuals used to collect these taxes are thugs who are not fit to do such apart from using violwnce and intimidation of business owners to reap them off their hard earned sweat. These monies end up in the pockets of these fruadulent tax collectors and the other part remitted to govt is embezzled.

3. Poverty:
When u have a larger percentage of people who are poor and do not have the strong purchasing power then u re bound to have low patronage or at best forced to give out on credit some of which may never be paid cos the means is not there.
Until wealth is evenly spread to all so all can have mobey in their pockets to spend if u like be a Harvard business trained graduate, tou would fail.

My advice to Nigerians, the national aseembly both the senate in particular and the house of assembly are the destroyer of this nation for failing to enact laws to guarantee good governance and effective, transparent tax laws and they are milking this nation by taking billions each year for fraudulent constituency projects which is never executed. Remember 25% of our budget is spent on these bastards. Only we forget easily former CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi proved it when he was summoned by last national assembly. This increases cost of governance whoch should have been channeled into capital projects to develop our infrastructure. The legislature have no business financing projects. Even each of the 36 states all have their state houses of assembly which all constitutes a hugh drain on our budget.
Nigerians wake up, even if all collect PVC to change a new set of leaders nothing would change as long as we do same thing over and over we get same not different result.
