nateevs:I think that there are actually two issues being discussed here. 1. RLC has the talent and can come good - I cannot really speak for this. I have not seen him at youth level and his performances at EPL left much to be desired. 2. RLC is fantastic behind a striker, look at his last game for proof. I think that I should stress again that my main discussion today has been on point number 2. I am not impressed even if he scored 10 against those dead Austrian players. He most likely earns more than all of them plus their coach combined. I like the line that you stressed at the end of your post. RLC is ONLY 20. But so is Dele Alli. Pierre Emille Holjberg is the same age. It may seem cynical, but the kind of 20 year olds I think we need are the ones who force us to think how mature they are for their age, and not the ones that hide behind their age as their excuse for lack of development. Compare what people meant last season when they said "He's only 20" about Martial to what you meant about RLC and my point becomes obvious. Now I understand that the likes of Martial and co have had opportunities to play first team football that RLC might not have had...which is why I want him to go out on loan so badly. The likes of Ake and Lukaku were the ones who asked to go on loan to develop further. . Jose mentioned his name with the likes of Solanke etc who could be stars of the future. RLC is the only one of that group sat on the bench stagnating. I'm not suggesting RLC is not as proactive with his career as those other guys. because I'm not privy to what goes on behind the scenes, but his body language on the pitch regularly seems to portray the image of person wey don bellefull All I see on the pitch is a lazy looking guy, who I'm told has bags of talent that I've never seen. Dazall. |
Irishrena1:I personally would advise you to go along the Microsoft route first. Perhaps a windows 8 or 10 cert first, followed by a server 2003 and/or server 2012. The reason I suggest this route is because a network admin theoretically should have a full view of the entire IT estate. Changes made at network level can affect the entire business. Decisions like setting replication frequency between domain controllers, or where to place your VPN servers require not just an understanding of networks but how the networks are use, especially when you consider that overall available bandwidth is limited. A seasoned CCNA should theoretically be able to architect a network solution on demand. Obviously Nigerian system works slightly different and requires a CCNA for 1st line roles so that's also a factor, but if you have the chance to learn Microsoft stuff first, then please do so...perhaps followed by some vittusliazion vendor(hyper-v is covered by Microsoft training but VMWARE is currently the market leader), THWN look at CCNA and CCNA security. By this point you would havr had a solid foundation of IT infrastructure from top to bottom. Then you can really make an informed decision as to what sector you want to specialise in. |
dreaizy:Where are the Baratheons? Or the Tyrells? Or the Boltons? Or the Freys Or even the targaryens? I would argue that the targaryen family line is completely dead otherwise Danaerys would be able to stroll into kings landing and just demand the throne by virtue of her name. But she can't because, really nobody reckons with that family anymore....hence the massive invading army, and her plan to marry some local nobility. Forget story. Stark is dead. Snow rules now. |
Gbola5:Jon is most definitely not a Stark. The half-stark thing was just to give some legitimacy to the decision to back Jon. There was a full blooded Stark in the room that day, who was even more responsible for the toppling of the Bolton regime than Jon was and nobody even looked at her twice. When the warden of the north was alive, Lord Glover actually said it - "The Starks are dead". Verbatim quote ![]() For 5 series Jon has been 'the bastard'. Now that he's in power, is it a surprise that they hail him Stark? ![]() There isn't a single character with the last name Stark that is politically relevant bro. Not a single one. |
diggz:I didn't think he played too badly myself but I wasn't really impressed either. I think he scored against a relegated villa side though. I think that my chairman FBS is misunderstanding me. All I'm saying is that I'm not impressed if he scores 10 goals against a team who play on a field in the bush (Google it). If even Mikel can score against them, then kini big deal? I don't really see how that line of thinking clashes with Contes statement. |
Gbola5:Jon's Stark lineage was only a convenient excuse for the Nothern Lords to back the guy who had just conquered the Warden of the North and symbol of Lannister influence. Why didn't they crown Sansa instead? Or you think in Bran rocks up today, the northern houses will back him? ![]() Lyanna points out at the beginning that neither Jon and Sansa are Starks. It is only after she's trying to drum up support for Jon that she plays the trump card. Lord Glover actually said "House Stark is dead". Isn't it convenient that now that the previous equivalent of the King in the north is dead, they remember that he is a half-a-Stark? ![]() Forget that thing. The Starks are gone. Now about him being a Snow, a new King in the North may decide to keep the Stark name, or choose a different name, as he wishes.Obviously all his heirs will be Snows not Starks. He cannot keep a name he never had. And this does not even factor in to consideration the actual truth of his parentage. What happens when it comes out that actually, his last name cant even legally be Stark? ![]() That was an example of a member of a still 'powerful' House dying in a humiliating way. Please don't trivialise this discussion. Whilst the comparison is completely unnecessary, There's a massive difference between dying in private and being beheaded in public. The guy that died on the toilet was not killed with the intent to publicly humiliate, and he was given a full state burial. Compare to the guy who had his head chopped off in a public square, and then had said head left to rot openly on a spike. The last two Starks left have spent the last 2 seasons hiding their name from public knowledge. If that doesn't spell it out for you, then let's leave it there. The show has different meanings to different people, and is open to interpretation. |
FBS:I'm not particularly sure where I suggested that I was Conte. Isn't it a bit to early to be drunk? ![]() Because you are quoting me but seem to be responding to someone else. |
FBS:I'm not particularly sure where I suggested that I was Conte. Isn't it a bit to early to be drunk? |
linearity:There's nothing you said up there that invalidates a single word of my original post. Indeed, the reference I made to configuring an MS server as a router already implies that most routing protocols are universally applied across all vendors. My point, if you had taken the time to fully comprehend my original post, was that certifications are vendor specific, and that it would be better to initially certify with a vendor who has a massive presence across every sector of IT be it infrastructure, desktop or programming. A Cisco cert shows that the owner knows cisco stuff. It is not a cert that proves the owner has a holistic understanding of the OSI model and what fits where. CCNA for example mainly focuses on L2/L3 config. It is not reasonable to expect a BMW mechanic to be able fix a Benz simply because both share an engine. I will reiterate, you may turn up to a to a company that doesn't use Cisco hardware (like my current place of employment) but most places will definitely have need for someone who understands a windows product. That is just a fact. A lot of the emerging tech you mentioned up there is only relevant to WAN implementations. It's highly unlikely that a Base station or datacentre, will employ an inexperienced rookie with a CCNA to manage their networks anyway, so most of the stuff you mentioned is actually irrelevant, especially when you consider that those concepts apply at architectural level. Ive worked in the UK for a couple of years in support and project implementation roles and the rate of business change is slow. Many businesses only migrated from win xp to win 7 circa 2012/2013, and most are only just beginning to adopt win 10. The basic infrastructure setup of a windows dhcp server farm+windows dns+active directory is not going away anytime soon. The complex routing stuff is outsourced to the datacentre which are usually run by a small team. So it's extremely likely that his first job in IT won't be dealing directly with networking. So I will finish this with my closing statement from my original post. I advise to guy to get an MS cert first and then after a year in his job, he should reassess. |
FBS:I'm sure what you believe you've written a very witty response. All I am saying is that is one thing to shine in youth sides and against div 4 austrian teams with no stadium. It's another thing to shine at EPL level. And if you use that nairaland search bar at the top of you screen to search for 'RLC', you will see what we all thought when he played at the business end. You came here to crow in vindication that RLC shined against some wack austrian side. Allow me to remind you that Mikel Obi scored against them. |
Gbola5:If you base it on the show, the Starks as a powerful family are done. The Stark name is done. The main pillars of the family have been either publicly executed or sent into exile. They have no political clout, and the King in the North is not a Stark either in name...or in blood. I don't understand how this is so difficult to understand. Any more humiliating than dying in a privy ?What does this have to do with anything? |
FBS:Here we go again. I wish we had a eye rolling emoji on this board. ![]() |
FBS:I watched him in the league...not against an austrian team with no stadium. Would you like me to bring out comments on this thread from some of those days? ![]() |
I maybe wrong, but I kinda remember RLC playing in exactly that #10 position a few times under Guus last season and was completely underwhelming. Consider me unimpressed that RLC looked good against a club that doesn't even have a wikipedia page. Mikel scored against them too. I'm not optimistic about his chances either. |
linearity:I would be very grateful if you could point out what part of my post is NOT TRUE. |
There are too many networking vendors out there today - Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper for example which makes commiting to a Cisco cert not as attractive as it used to be. Microsoft on the other hand are thr global leaders in the desktop and server field. Simply put, you might apply to a company who don't use Cisco hardware, but you can be sure that they have Microsoft products. With this in mind, I would recommend starting of with an MCP/MCITP. Windows servers can actually be configured to serve as routers so you might find that a Microsoft cert is sufficient for your needs in thr early stages of your career. CCNA is really meant for system admins who already have exposure to IT infrastructure. Network configurations tend to stay the same once configured so dedicated network engineers are usually only needed at data centres and colos. Start with Microsoft. Reassess after a year in your 1st job. That's my advice. |
Speaking to reporters from his hospital bed after he was shot, Mr Kinsey told WSVN TV: “I’m going to the ground, just like this with my hands up. And I’m laying down here just like this. And I’m telling him again, ‘Sir, there’s no need for firearms. I’m unarmed, this is an autistic guy. He has a toy truck in his hand.’” “When he shot me, it was so surprising. It was like a mosquito bite. And when he hit me, I’m like, I still got my hands in the air. I said, ‘You know, I just got shot.’ And I’m saying to them, ‘Sir, why did you shoot me?’ And his words to me, he said, ‘I don’t know.’” I don't know why I shot you ![]() See yarns |
A40:The annoying thing about this particular case is that the police claimed that they mistook the toy truck for a gun. The police ordered both the autistic white man and his black carer to lie down. The black guy lies down with his hands up explaining the situation. The white guy refuses to lie down and continues to sit up. The black guy gets shot because thr toy truck looked like a gun. It was the white guy that was playing with the truck. ![]() |
Gbola5:I am referencing things that were deliberately DONE to them within the context of the show. All the Starks tgat have been killed have executed publicly in thr most humiliating ways possible. The ones that are alive have been treated with extreme disdain also in public. I interpret that as ridicule. Fair enough if you see it differently . |
diggz:Lukaku cost more than Eto'o and Drogba combined. On price tag value alone, he had grounds to demand to start. Jose clearly didn't rate Etoo sef given his old age comments. When a club signs a player for up to 17m and put him on the bench, you know that the manager is making a statement. When you go out on loan twice scoring almost 40 league goals in 2 seasons, yet your manager goes to sign Costa, then you know that your manager is making a statement. Jose was the one that deliberately blocked Lukaku especially after that SuperCup game. That's just the fact of the matter. |
diggz:PvA and Bertrand are super mediocre. I don't believe that they are good examples. The Southampton model is simple. They buy largely untested entities, train them up and sell them for a profit. That includes mangerial staff sef. If you're still at Southampton, you're probably not good enough. I never said Kante and Mahrez would be superstars. I never knew. So they went to Leicester to prove what they could do. I think that you have a point regarding spending. Lukaku's departure for Costa was a big mistake. KDB arguably also has a case... Who else? Baba is 22 years old and still has plenty of scope for growth and improvement . PvA and Bertrand are both 26 and have never shown the potential to upstage Azpi who is the same age as them. So we should have kept those guys to play understudy to their age mate? ![]() Which other youngsters have we treated badly? I've quoted two youth team members who said that they were training with the 1st team. So why are managers seeing these youth in training sessions and not picking them? Can you answer that? |
SIRcumalot:I think that GoT has shown us that there are no black and white characters. What does Dorne get out of this? Varys? I don't believe that the Tyrells are just going to rollover when all the biz is done. Just wait and see how it plays out. ![]() |
Gbola5:Ed Stark had his head chopped off and left to rot on a pole in public. His daughter's betrothal to the king was cancelled in humiliating fashion then she was married off to her father's enemy to be constantly rapped. His son was killed, his head chopped off, and his dog's head was sewn on to his shoulders and the corpse paraded in the streets. The Stark castle was captured twice with no protest from Kings landing. Even worse, the title of Warden of the North was stripped from the starks and given to their enemies. At the time to raise an Army to reclaim their castle, none of the main houses would answer their call....And after everything that happened, the Nothern Lords are now sworn to a guy who isn't even a Stark ![]() That name has been ridiculed beyond shame sef. |
raumdeuter:Point exactly. Go and get the experience, then come back. Pique and Alba were actually released by Barca sef. They had to go and make their name elsewhere first. Dazall I'm saying. Why are these top clubs having more success with their youth players than Chelsea? Either there is a big problem with the team planning or with the recruitment in the first place that thought previous first teamers at other clubs like Salah, Victor Moses, Marko Marin, Cuadrado, Christian Atsu should just be sent on loans all over the globeIf Moses is struggling to get games at West Ham and Liverpool....logic dictates that hes probably not what we want. Same goes for them lot up there. It's not like those are academy products anyway |
raumdeuter:That was a looooong time ago. My legs dey kanmpe |
raumdeuter:Of Course Lukaku has a higher profile now than Zouma...are you kidding? Lukaku wan't blocked by talent...he was blocked by Jose. Don't trivialise the debate by suggesting that the mistake made with Lukaku was made with everyone else. |
raumdeuter:Yes because all those guys have the same talent level as John Swift and Ryan Bertrand...and none of them had to go and look for first team opportunities elsewhere first... |
raumdeuter:Lol my own injury was worse than these guys own. I had multiple fractures on both legs, broken ribs and broken Pelvis from a car accident. I was bedridden for 6 months with pins in both legs. Physio work and exercise took another 2 years. I was lucky because I had private health insurance sef. |
raumdeuter:I actually don't understand this question. |
nateevs:“And there is so much pressure on the club to be high in the league and do well in the Champions League. They have high expectations for every single game they go into. So it is difficult for the manager to put young players in." - John Swift, Chelsea Youth Player 2015/2016 |
SIRcumalot:Jon isn't a Stark as you well know. The lords of Northern houses have declared to fight for Jon Snow not Jon Stark. If Bran Stark comes back tomorrow and declares an ambition to the Stark holdings, then theoretically Jon has very little Locus Standi. That isn't even the point I was trying to raise sef. The Stark name is widely ridiculed or held in contempt outside the north if the show is anything to go by. Foreign invaders will often marry into the local aristocracy to blend in,and to gain acceptance and/or legitimacy for their rule from the conquered population. Jon currently has neither the required family name nor the political clout outside the north to make him an attractive marriage proposition. Even in the north, it remains to be seen how much loyalty he currently commands, and I have a strong suspicion that a power tussle between himself and Sansa could be in the offing. Legitimacy won't be an issue she has the name and the army. That's actually not enough, and I think that relationships at play are far more complex than the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I really dont think the Tyrells for example, will be willing to commit to Danaerys's rule just for revenge. They have been married into royalty on 3 occasions so I wonder what they would want in return for their assistance. If the conversation with Yara is anything to go by, we might be looking at a Balkanization of Westeros, and Danaerys may find her kingdom far smaller than she imagined. The north as it is now is stronger than the south which is why I think dany's rolls through the south easily,The north actually have relatively few men left after Robb's disastrous expedition and only the Knights of the Vale appear to have a full strength army. With littlefinger harbouring title ambitions of his own, it remains to be seen what camps the Knights of the Vale will eventually declare for. The Southern Armies by contrast seem to be largely intact by virtue of avoiding combat using the Red Wedding. Though it has to be said, those dragons provide a massive tactical advantage to Danaerys. Not to rehash old issues but you really don't care much for Jon.Lol You Too? ![]() I would have thought that you would be more familiar with my writing style and thought processes. Well this has nothing to do with that. I'm just saying. |
diggz:PvA and Bertrand are completely unremarkable footballers so I'm not fussed that they were kicked out of the club. The road to football glory is littrered with broken dreams and substandard talent. They have found their levels in midtable and the relegation zone. Let them lie there. If I may ask you, how many talent did Leicester parade before winning the league or Portugal before winning the euros? Or Didn't fergie and ManU win several titles parading the likes of brown and O'Shea?Wes Brown and Oshea at their peak are still better than PvA. Heck, up until May, they were actually even playing with PvA in the same team! Leicester has/had significant talent. We just signed on of their players for 30m. Arsenal went in for Vardy. Mahrez reportedly has a 45m price tag. To narrow it down to specific positions, Christian Fuchs is one of the most capped players from Austria and is a Champions league regular. He is better than both PvA and Bertrand I am even surprised you are bringing Gibbs of all people into this! I am not here to claim or declare this guys as exceptional talents, Far from it. I am only trying to point you towards a different direction(if possible) which is, we should not be quick to write off this young guys!Nobody is writing them off(PvA or Bertrand), but we must also hold realistic expectations for some of these players. The club invests so much time and money into raising these players, and want them to succeed far more than you and I do..but sometimes the players are just not good enough. It is even totally atrocious to loan or sell your youth players, just to go out there to buy or loan useless players as replacements. The left backs at Barca Madrid and Bayern are all better than Bertrand or PvA. Alaba is younger than them. Alba is around the same age. Marcelo is older. They are all better than Bertrand or PVA. I have zero regret that those two were kicked out. They are simply not good enough. |
