As you know, I like my threads like I like my steaks....with a little bit of blood in the middle.

Today's bout has been a funny one,

In the blue Corner, fighting out the Raumdeuter stables, we have the mean, lean, killing machine known as A40. An excellent fighter on his day, he's a proven brawler who is known to have caught a few bodies, and claimed a few scalps back in the day. The problem is, recently A40 has been involved in some ill-advised bouts, occasionally involving facing a tag team on his ones, that has left his body battered and his reputation in tatters. He has recently lost bouts to Dahdemola, Airmark, and most devastatingly to BigKesh in the last 6 months.

Brawlers like Airmark and Pataki have teamed up to mount a formidable challenge to A40 at home, and so it seems like he has had to pick his fights away from home, in faraway sunny Barcelona, to begin to rebuild his title challenge and reputation.

The only issue now is that some how Airmark and Pataki(AirTaki for short) have managed to start a vicious smear campaign, insinuating that A40's brawling career has been heavily subsidised by his Stable and Stablemate (Raumdeuter), and that he really isn't a reknowned pugilist, but merely hanging on the coat tails of his "master", and benefiting from some form of Nepotism.

As someone who has seen A40's signature 'Apoche Cra Cra' suplex move deployed to devatsting effect, I know that this isn't the case. However A40 has to prove to the crowd today, that he deserves to be seen as one of the top killers on this these boards...

Which brings us to today.

In the red corner, Dmcdad, aka The Mac Daddy, aka Mac and Cheese, sometimes mistaken for French Montana. Dmcdad isn't exactly known as a skilled fighter, and I would have to rack my brain to point to any particular victory of his that has stood out. Yet, DmcDad is extremely popular in his home turf of Barcelona, and he has been able to put that popularity to his advantage, with many of his team sneaking in to the ring to rain cheap blows and sucker punches on A40's dome whilst the referee was distracted.

Fellas like Debroslink have been seen smashing folded up chairs on A40's back, homesteady went to kneel down behind A40 so that his eternal nemesis Airmark(who shouldn't even be in the stadium letalone the ring) could push him over.

This fight hasn't been fair at all. You have renowned haters like Dadehmola and Bykebyke laughing in the audience like Muttley and Dick dastardly, but Still A40 has put a decent fight.

Let's take a quick commercial break, and we'll be back to analyse some of the best moves after the Cut.

When I asked you if you had watched the show, you started quoting reviews. If you have to give someone else's opinion when asked for your own, then we have to question if your brain is strictly necessary, and if your cranial cavity would not be put to better use keeping fufu warm.

This doesn't even take into consideration the fact that Gommorah is actually rated higher on imdb than both Lillyhammer and Boardwalk Empire whose ratings you were ranting about.

how can something with only 2 seasons be better than cult classics that have more than 4 seasons to their names respectively and more than that garnered rave reviews from home and international media alike?Just because Gomorrah impressed the shiit outta you cos of it's olde world take on the mafiosi doesn't make it the best thing since sliced bread. come to think of it, reviews of the series weren't great. Lilyhammer(Scandinavian/American Mafia themed series) is better by a mile and still bows to Sopranos.

I was speaking to a pro Rugby player today, and he was telling me about their off-season/pre-season schedule.

Their pre-season started on Monday, and he only got 3.5 weeks off. He said that this week has been hell for them. Apparently they get pushed on their exercise bikes till they literally puke, and then they have had to pull cars strapped to their waists in muddy fields.

I wonder what football pre-season is like. Does anyone have a clue?

Let's talk about that Nations Cup first.

Bailly that conceded freekick inside his own box 18 against Mali? The next game he commited a needless foul and copped a yellow in the 26th minute and his manager was so frustrated that he couldn even wait for half time and subbed him immediately. In the semi-finals against Congo he was at it again, conceding a penalty via handball. In the final against Ghana, he started fighting with John Boye and was lucky not to get booked for that offence, but trust Eric, he still managed to cop a yellow.

Infact the guy was a liability to CIV throughout that tournament, and they won the tournament despite not because of him.


Now to Villareal.

Bailly only entered that 1st team because Mussachio copped an 8 month Injury. As soon as he came back, Bailly dropped to the bench straight. Then Mussachio copped another injury.
Ever present bawo? Bailly only played just over half the league games for Villareal...and only because first choice was injured.

I read somewhere that Villareal conceded 1.1 goals per la liga game with him and 0.5 goals per game without him....though that was a comment on a skysports article so I can't confirm. But I know the guy copped 7 yellows in his first 9 games of the season.

The match that's being talked about, I watched that match live and I think it ended 1-0. In that match, Eric Bailly (I didn't know he's the one then though) was superb in that match along with his co-CB. They frustrated Athletico for almost all through the match till towards the ending when Torres was introduced and he went on to score that goal. I'm pointing this out coz people are disregarding his entire performance in that match.


I'm not gonna hold briefs for Baily, but I know I won't bring out my sword of judgement till I've actually seen his displays for United. If Smalling can eventually become a rock for us, then Baily can come good for us. As for now, I won't judge him yet. Time shall reveal all.
