PlatinumPlato: Congratulations, Frankfurt loading.... Actually less than a month. The city actually didnt delay in attending to your application. Which state is that? When is your enrollment date. I was a lil surprised too coz my visa processing took only 24days and my enrollment deadline is still in mid October. North Rhine Westphalia. Means I go flex my new neighborhood small before lecture proper |

Eldeee: @nicolea, olanrewaju & donokafor. I want to say many thanks for your explainations. I wil like to apologetically plead on behalf of adalapretty. I want to believe it was all said due to anger but not with any bad intentions. We all know the end products of anger which usually results to sth unpleasant. Pls i beg u all.
Just like it was rightly stated here that we need to plead for a favor, i intend to do so thro my school's international office pleading wt them to send a message to d embassy, hoping for a positive response.
Lets all pray for the very best. God will see us through in all. #winter2017 That's gentlemanly of you. I wanted to comment @ Adalapretty post when I saw yours. I was about to trace the IP address of the phone or laptop with the location and time of the post...(just kidding or am I? Don't worry you'll surely get an interview date...don't give up for miracles still happen... Goodluck. |

The online booking page on nigeria.diplo.de doesn't work.
Furthermore, please share any necessary information on the process, from your experience.
Looking forward to getting responses.
Thanks People! Seriously!!! You opened the embassy website and didn't see the "Visa Information" Notice or at least even read the last five pages of this thread. I swear I'll query any body that attempts to answer this question. And you want to study in germany...Unbelievable!!! To be honest I'm really trying hard to be polite... Have a blessed day Sir |

Ramani237: Hello, Cameroon speaks both English and French as such your Birth Certificate is supposed to be in both languages so I dont think you have a problem. German Universities accept GCE A/Level..many of my friends are studying in Germany and the German embassy website also states so. So if yo have an A/Level what is the problem? Also I'm aware its acceptable in Cameroon just wanted to be sure its also accepted @embassy here in Nigeria since requirements are slightly different. Thanks a lot |

I guess you're Cameroonian so you may not understand what I mean by WAEC scratch card & National Population Commission. I didn't do A levels, I got admission directly with Olevels here in Nigeria after I finished Form 5 in Cameroon. I have an LLB bideaway. So I'm apply with my degree not A levels for masters. Eehm I need good advice on this issue please I have gone through the student visa checklist and I have every requirements but 2 things bother me
1. Birth certificate: I was born in Cameroon but I'm Nigerian. My birth certificate was issued in Cameroon and it's in French Language What I see is BC from National population Commission or Declaration of Age, also my Parents are based in Cameroon and dragging them to 9ja just to sign declaration is not possible and me going is worst coz the Declaration would reflect a Cameroon Court. Since I wasn't born in Nigeria would my Birth Cert be accepted? 2. WAEC scratch card. My Secondary school is still Cameroon and what we/I wrote was GCE O level which does not require a scratch card. Is it OK?
NB: I went through the student visa checklist for German embassy in Cameroon and my Birth Cert & GCE are acceptable but I don't know if Embassy in Nigeria would do same Are my good to go? or should I be worried? Should I contact the embassy on this issues...How do I reach them asap? |

makinzwurld: To @Uchevolata and all the rest,
Hi!
Happy Sunday.
In addition to @Negro1986's post concerning his interview on June 30, here's a quick one for y'all going for your interviews soon. U can download the attached files and study them. Its a transcript of questions asked during my interview that held on the 20th of June 2017, and some possible answers, and also a copy of my motivational letter and some other useful docs that might be of help in preparing for the interview (please don't copy and paste word for word, just simply improvise from them, thanks!) My experience was quite a great one, and I pray its even better for you all.
As for preparations, its important you do the following if you can:
1. Pray and trust God that you've gone to Germany already by faith. Eliminate fear and anxiety in prayers. Resist and cast down thoughts of failure that come. Trust God and have a high level of confidence.
2. Go to the embassy a day before your interview (if you can, to avoid rushing or disorganization on your interview day), say around 11 am when they aren't really attending to anyone again. Soak in the air around the environment there. Don't worry, you won't be harassed by any MOPOL or our friendly Mr Paul (I think that's his name.) You can even introduce yourself to him and tell him your interview is the next day and you just came to make inquiry. He will tell you what you need to know, cos he can actually be that nice. Just familiarize yourself with the environment, especially if you've not been there before. Note that the VISA FEE is #20,500. Have the exact amount with you. You should also get to the car park and ask for the FedEx stall where you will get your prepaid envelope (within 350-3000 naira if you are sending within Lagos depending on the location, and 1000-4000 naira for outside Lagos depending on the state you're sending it to. PH is 3,700 naira with FedEx) The ladies there know how to address the envelope appropriately, just give them your details. Get your passports if you don't have them yet (White background, 35mm x 45mm) there at the embassy car park too. Don't patronize touts please. It could cost you more. I had to re-trim the 2 pictures I used to the required specs after paying #1,200 (I know that's cheap, it could be more, say, #1,500 - #2000 depending on your bargaining power.)
On the day of the interview, please arrive at least 30 mins before the time given to you. It is expected that the time given to you is the time you should be inside and not the time you're just arriving the embassy. Its one reason our dear Mr Paul bounces people. Also, arrange your documents as a set of originals and two photocopies in the same order. Staple one of your passports to your application form and detach one. You may have to leave the signature part of your visa application form unsigned till you're in front of the VO. That was how I did mine, though I don't think you'll be penalized if you've signed it already. Please note that the "verification of applicants data" form in the checklist is not needed at the embassy (I wonder why they left it on the checklist ) You only need the Declaration according to section 54 bla bla bla form. Make sure all your documents (both originals and photocopies) are in order while collating. Endeavor to remove your international passport from its jacket, it won't be needed at the embassy.
Lastly, be as sincere and truthful as you can be during the interview. Don't be too rigid or dogmatic. For example, If you currently work, let them know and attach proof. If you don't know the answer to any question, just be sincere about it that you "can't answer such a question at this time because you aren't sure." Prepare well and read/study/memorize/practice over and over and over again. Remember, its only an interview and not a firing squad. The VOs are nice people when you cooperate with them and do what they ask you to do promptly. The young dark tall lady that interviewed me speaks German as well as Yoruba (She's Nigerian of course) and she was benevolent enough to exercise patience with me while I answered my questions. Just don't go there tense. Its not a firing squad I repeat.
Okay, I'm tired of typing. Let's make do with this for now. If any other thing comes to my mind I'll post it here.
I pray for great unprecedented success all the way for y'all going for your interviews this month and next month.
God's Speed, God's best! Your write up is really great, my interview is this month and the info you gave is truly helpful. I don't know if its my phone but unfortunately I'm unable to download the files you posted Goodluck, you are there already |

Pls I got a question I applied and was issued my new passport yesterday coz the old one is going to expire this October. I used my old passport to apply for every thing applicable, from school to certifying docs at embassy, Fintiba, admission, booking appointment etc. I know I can go ahead to inform embassy of changes but my problem is FINTIBA... Coz my passport serial no. is now different. This bank does everything online and the slightest change of a word or number fit cause wahala. I'm about paying the 8729euro and I don't want to hear stories. How do I go about informing Fintiba of the changes or should I just go ahead with the payment? Thanks in anticipation of your warm responses |
