Bodacious1: Hi all,
Has anyone here tried to renew their Nigerian passport in the UK? What's the process like please? I've visited the website several times but can't seem to progress beyond the page where I input the reason for passport renewal. It also navigates to a login page meanwhile I don't see any link for creating an account (which I assume is required before you can log in, in the first place).
Thanks! I renewed my passport and it took about 2 months before obtaining the PP. Read this link below, perhaps it could shed light. https://www.nairaland.com/7080230/how-apply-renew-nigerian-passport#116842912 |

Peerielass: Thanks for taking the time to reference that. I’m sure new immigrants on here will find that useful. I eventually got a £200 switching bonus from NatWest. They are less strict when it comes to UK residence permit duration. |

Peerielass: Are you into shady dealings 😂? I’m only keen on the switching bonus. They all have their individual problems eg. TSB has intermittent IT issues, HSBC is very selective when it comes to choosing their customers etc. Eligibility for switching bonus is for those with permanent residency in UK |

Silentthinker: Hello I went for renewal of my Nigeria passport on December 15th last year at the Nigeria embassy in London and my passport isn't ready.I have tried calling their number but it's not going through. Also tried tracking it on royal mail and it's showing passport not registered. Please I'm really tired of the wait as I need to use it immediately. I'll be grateful if anyone can suggest how to go about it.
Thanks while I await responses. For those who are asking, my international passport was delivered today. I completed biometrics on November 3, 2022, in London. The anticipated delivery date was January 4, 2023, according to the date on the acknowledgement copy that was captioned on phone. Give or take any glitch, that means the arrival date will be around one week later. |

phyl123:

But her father didn’t sing the song ni?
He was arrested and deported for raping a child. So I wouldn’t shout his name too loud. My allusion is to one of the most popular British vocalists of her generation, Dame Shirley Veronica Bassey not her father. She also had other James Bond films soundtrack on her list, Moonraker and Diamonds are forever. By the way, the isolated case of her father's misbehaviour does not invalidate that most Nigerians in UK or abroad are diligent and indefatigable. |

Liz Truss was asked today at a hustings event what her favourite song is and she replied soundtrack theme song from the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger. Can you guess, mates, who sang it? Dame Shirley Bassey! Her father, Henry bassy was a Nigerian.
Nigerians are making giant strides everywhere we go. |

onecoder: Travelled to this schegen country some weeks ago. On arrival at the border, the woman kept on staring and scratching my passport like there is eba on the sticker. I later showed her my brp before she later calm down. It's so annoying Hello Coder & other members that have gone this route as a student. please I need your informed opinion. Filling out my Schengen visa application now and I got stuck in type of visa entry. Is it single, double or multiple entries for a 3-month short-stay visa application? Please note, I am on a tier-4 student visa. Don't want to be denied because I create an impression of a nonserious student and gallivanting by selecting multiple entries. Meanwhile, what I am trying to do is to save cost and rigour of visa applications. |

Multiplier7: I will suggest to everyone to go and listen to Peter Obi's interviews on Channels television and Arise Tv. Come back and tell me why you will not vote for him So true but sad. However, do you know the saddest part? Majority of voters don't have access to all those media you mentioned. So chance of winning the poll is slim. Way forward? Electioneering is grassroots! His campaign team should comb all grasses of federation in showcasing Obi's manifestos, in different languages & dialects. We need a paradigm shift from these other crops of politicians. |

Chreze: Congrats. Please note that the information I shared is 99% accurate for Glasgow (or maybe Scotland). I have never visited London or England and so don’t know if the same applies 100%. I know similar from reading but never been there and don’t know what applies. You might wanna confirm from people who live and stay there.
Blessings Chreze, what you shared is so similar to the situation in England too. Just nodding my head in affirmation with most of your postulations, even though I stay in Yorkshire. |
