Depends on how you see the glass. HF or HE?
Uncle Tony is selling and a greater fool is buying?
Who would be investing such an amount on impulse? At N350/$, that is ~$40m. Oh well

remember some people invested more than that in Oando when it was about N18 if i remmeber correctly , same biased analysis was put forward at the time .. where is price of oando today even before TS.

u wan sabi pikin pass hin papa?? it would be safer to think the buyer is the greater fool

Forget about Monday, it may well fall to 50k.

FA & TA no reach this one. This is a classic stock for patient investors. Sell and move one if you are looking for a quick buck.

I repeat - follow the money.

I now know a thing or two about following money.

BTW - I am a verrrrrry long term investor so my ranting above may not work for everyone.

Not quite sure what you mean ..Uncle Tony(HH) is divesting , if you are following the money then you should running away not buying into it. If there is no trouble ahead not sure why he would be divesting ... in other climes news like this would cause drastic fall in share price lets see market's reaction on Monday... I feel Transcorp is for loose change if at all one want to invest in it.. just my opinion

Just neeed to know who the seller/buyer of the 11b units are.
Crossdeal at 1.26 when the stock is trading at 1.30+ at the floor is a thing of concern to me.
I am not talking of fundamentals. The fundamentals now is ok.Recovering mode.
I think the news we are about to hear is around the corner.
Next week will clear my doubt.

Thy shall not buy into anticipation !! Develop a system that works for you , go through your rules again before clicking that enter button to buy otherwise you would just be dancing around the chair.. From FCMB to Transcorpse... issokay.. DF , Fide don do almost 20% in the last few days alone

Please read and digest. Blessed are those that anticipated and took action. Blessed are those that followed the money. Blessed are those that understand the times and are alert. cheesy

Good news, hopefully there would be no political crisis in 2019 cos the way the index would reverse hen! lets hope for a stable transition

The suspensions at SEC is clearly Oando related. The suspended DG, Head of Legal and Head of Media are clearly involved in oando case. The DG gives approval for oando investigation, oando goes to court and are beaten by the legal department, and the media head who has been leading the defence of their decision to investigate oando in the media. Hmm, if money enter my hand I go run join oando. I do not see the investigation going too far moreso that Atiku is somehow connected with the petition against oando.

the sad thing is they didn't bring the party to the floor ..

I forgive all those that promised us bear in November. grin
Even the eterna oil I managed to get at 4.01 was quickly sold at 4.06 because of one outdated news.
Now trying to buy back dangsuga, dangflour and Fidelity at higher prices. cheesy

Sold my DF and bought back about 70kobo lower .. considering the volume bought, it was reasonable savings even after fee deduction... it could have gone either ways though.. was a risk I chose to take ... Nov normally bearish ..

The stock is not shaken by the news.

Good observation bro.I buy stocks in large quantities and I offload in large quantities.
Those stocks in sight are not in alignment with my pattern of trading grin.
The only one among them I will lay hands on is eterna oil and caverton.I have told my broker to look for supply so I can do it on cross deal.

Eterna and Caverton are in line with your trading pattern?? grin grin angry

Interesting read on C&I.. nice1 guys...previous experience on reconstruction has been very bitter same with IPOs ... No matter how juicy the numbers look I have learnt to always look away especially when they are other opportunities in the market to key into..

One can always buy C&I when the dust setlles if the maths still add up

I think it is high time we started penetrating the boards of the listed companies by nominating people on this platform for member of audit committee and board of directors.
I notice that our activities here strongly affects movement of share prices

please lets brainstorm on this

especially with the 1kobo car park rule coming soon may be some companies can be renamed Nsempa grin grin grin

I laugh when pple make some drastic comments about stocks just in a bid to drive down the price in other for them to position. If you want to be successful in NSE, it's simple. Be your own boss and avoid herd mentality. Conduct your due diligence and forget about price flunctuations. Set your targets and revise them as more reports come in.

I'm not were I want to be yet but I know God willing, I will get there in terms of stock studies and trend analysis. I have increased my holdings in Dangote flour and I pity those selling because of the comments on this forum.

Before you sell, consider the commission on sales and the commission it will cost you to buy the same quantity of shares again. Then consider the current holders of the stock. What if they are not WILLING to sell even with your bid? Will you shoot them?

Anyways, every mallam with his kettle

you have said it all grin

The vibes in NSEMPA forum in this bear mkt sounds very matured.
Evidence of members' increasing experience.
Newbies, pls always know that there are 2 distinct categories of investors here:
1). Investors - (Long term)
2). Traders - ( Short term)
Know what you want, and invest accordingly.
If you see d mkt as a gamble, it will forever manifest accordingly.
See it as an avenue for generational wealth creation, and it shall be so for you.
Traders bank their profits and hold their capital, pending when suitable to re-enter d mkt.
Investors stay put, looking to continuosly average-down on their existing holdings or enter irresistibly low priced value stocks.
You could be any or both of these 2 categories per time.
We hv seen elections come and go, stock market crashes of all sorts, but the mkt lives on, making the knowledgeable players richer.
As for me, after my first stock mkt investment in 1998 (when Nestlé was around N9 or so per share!) till date, I can affirm that knowledge is the key to how well you do in the mkt.
N/B : [N100k invested in Nestlé then is worth N13m now]!
You see, the most ferocious bear couldn't stop a sound stock pick like that.
Do not be bullied into a panic buy or sell.
See my signature...Warren Buffett said that.

You only need a "Bunmi Oni" to be in charge of Nestle ... the rest would be history..... grin
