currentprice: we might see big volume passing hand on this stock soon. when pple run away from this stock base on liquidity but running after CCNN and eterna
Caverton O/S = 3.3B CCNN i think is 1.3b eternaoil i think is also 1.3b
For those interested in the trio, Individual ownership CCNN-14% Caverton - 27% Eterna-56% individuals are more likely to sell than institutional/corporate holders hence likely higher liquidity on the other hand geometric increase is more likely with higher corporate ownership ... hope this guides ur pick Assumption: all remains well with the coys |

wanaj0: Segun Adeniyi is just making a sales pitch with little substance. No name of the OEM etc.
Nothing against Caverton. I however hope that people understand the business model and the competition.
Caverton indeed has taken a number of contracts from Bristow. Of course, we know how contracts are done in Nigeria especially when it involves NNPC/NAPIMS.
Caverton does have competitors including local competitors. Aero basically own the NNPC contract. There is a new one NESTAV a subsidiary of Nestoil which will compete fiercely with Caverton.
So if you are buying Caverton, in addition to numbers, use Porter's Five Forces to analyse the industry. still trying to understand the business model of the company let alone applying porter's five force to analyse the industry... I probably should stick to what I know ... Thanks anyways |

2016 was a very good year for ASL profit wise + their share price was only about 2 + ASL was coming from a loss position in 2015, they haven't been able to replicate that performance this year and in actual fact it is currently an over priced stock IMO.
I am not sure there's any similarity between ASL's situation in 2016 and Caverton now |

Diamond's impairment charge for 2016 audited was 59 billion, impairment charge Q3 2017 35 billion .. isn't it clear their risk management is very poor...the divestment income would be used to plug these holes, may even end up been lost again...
a leaking bucket would not be filled by continuously pouring water into it , the leakage needs to be repaired ... |

currentprice: Thank you brov, we have heard you, just to let u know that even if Oga emma, told us he got the stock for free base on his goodwill we believe him. i follow his post and i have small knowlegde of his portfolio. you can read his post yesterday about his banking portfolio, he post that only sky punish him he was true because i knew when he bought the skye at high price long term ago, he didn't sell it because of his nature of investment LONG TERM. i believe if you hear he bought UCAP btw 90k - 1.10 and afripud btw 1.80k - 2 you go run mad. he actually bought at that range. he was the first person that kept shouting about the two stock when nobody have the idea of what he saying even 1himself that created the thread.

Coolcash1: Locodemy, why did you think Asiwaju Tinubu went to visit PMB? Or you think was just to shine goro teeth with the man, hell no! Intel has it that its because of his brother, JAT saga with SEC...Based on this, i am beginning to have a change of mind about the report that it might just be a slap on the wrist or go and sin no more for JAT...yours truly is watching... hmmm....would take this story with a pinch of salt ... Alhaji Mangal is one of the forces to reckon with in Katsina + politics ... though a PDP man... clash of the titans ... I doubt if just a slap on the wrist would end this ....anyways the earlier they lift the TS the better . |

Agbalowomeri: It is only 'hope' that would make anyone enter diamond at 1.0 with this result. The result is also expected anyway; compare this to the trend last year. Deceitful eps goes up Q1 Q2, regression to the truth Q3 Q4. That's exactly what happened last year. So I expect year end eps to be around 10kobo Diamond is re-writing their banking recipe book at the moment, after completion market would decide if their new "meal" is sweet...until then Diamond is no no for me .. if you even dash me I will sell it .... I look at my losses/gains in terms of opportunity cost |
